It’s cute that Thomas Friedman thinks he won’t be personally involved in the civil war he considers to be a possibility:

During an appearance on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman expressed his concern over what could happen in November if there were enough doubt about the outcome of the November 3 presidential election.

Friedman warned such a lack of confidence in the American election process could lead to a second civil war.

“I found it stunning and surprising,” Friedman said of President Donald Trump’s unwillingness to commit to accepting the possible outcome of election results. “Anderson, you know, I began my career as a journalist covering Lebanon’s second civil war and its history. And I’m terrified to find myself ending my career as a journalist covering America’s potential second civil war in its history.”

Friedman and other “journalists” will no doubt be surprised to discover that they won’t just be covering America’s Civil War 2.0. They’ll be considered enemy combatants:

The End of Holocaustianity

I don’t think David Cole demonstrates a very good grasp of basic human psychology in his article addressing the implications of the recent Schoen survey reporting that Millennials don’t know about the Holocaust, don’t care about the Holocaust, and are nearly as likely to blame the Jews for it as the National Socialist German Workers Party:

All the hand-wringing over the survey is based on a fundamental misunderstanding of the problem. A half century of high-decibel Holocaust education hasn’t failed…it’s worked too well. Millennials hate Nazis with the passion of someone actually wronged by Nazis, which is ironic because no millennial has ever met an actual Nazi. Mind you, they think they have. According to the survey, 54{5274a41d3bd2aa3d5829764fe19e8a7ecbc79c108731aad5f1ff2d292e60e2b4} of millennials think the U.S. is crawling with “neo-Nazis.” Where’d they get that impression? Take a guess: from Jews who’ve misused the Holocaust to smear any white who displeases them as a “Nazi.” That 30{5274a41d3bd2aa3d5829764fe19e8a7ecbc79c108731aad5f1ff2d292e60e2b4} of millennials blame the Holocaust on America, FDR, and Jews shows just how well the propaganda has worked. White = Nazi, “full stop.” Sure those kids can’t name an actual concentration camp, but who cares? It was never about that. It was always about smearing non-Nazis as Nazis. It’s not about remembering the genuine Nazi menace of the past, but rather creating a phantom Nazi menace for the present.

To conservatives responding to the Schoen survey by mindlessly repeating, “We need more Holocaust education,” be careful what you wish for. I’d wager that, among American whites, there’s a direct correlation between receiving massive doses of Holocaust education in well-funded suburban schools, with yearly visits to Holocaust museums and in-class lectures by survivors, and a fanatical desire to punch Nazis, which in today’s political climate translates to “punch anyone on the right.” Or any Trump voter. Or any straight white male who doesn’t detest himself.

Holocaust education has always been weaponized. Jews will make a big deal about how appalling it is that millennials can’t name Ravensbrück, Oranienburg, or Gross-Rosen, but it’s insincere outrage. Holocaust ed has panned out exactly as planned. “Never again” is not about looking back, but looking straight ahead, stopping and stomping the present-day “enemies” of a hate-filled Jewish establishment that despises the West, its traditions, and anything white, Christian, or European in origin.

I wouldn’t say the program has panned out exactly as planned. To the contrary, it is observably going seriously awry, at least if one is to take it at face value. Incessant indoctrination results in one of four things. The stupid and the indifferent ignore it. The average resent it. The midwits embrace it as Gospel. The intelligent reject it. So, the more the Promethean professional victim class pushes their “we dindu nuffin” history of an ancient genocide that occurred for absolutely no reason at all, the more the younger generations will resent and reject the relentless historical propaganda of the last 50 years.

And then history will repeat itself. Again.

Preserving the US empire

Now, Donald Trump is going to win the election. No question. But it’s important to understand what is at stake, because at present, the God-Emperor is literally the one and only thing preventing the imperial USA from collapsing rapidly. To give just one example, the Saker points out how ridiculous the current globalist beating of the war drums over the color revolution in Belarus is, considering the relative state of the Russian and NATO militaries.

There is a popular expression in Russia which, I submit, beautifully sums up the current US/NATO doctrine: пугать ежа голой задницей, which can be translated as “trying to scare a hedgehog with your naked bottom”.

The truth is that NATO military forces currently are all in very bad shape – all of them, including the US – and that their only advantage over Russia is in numbers. But as soon as you factor in training, command and control, the ability to operate with severely degraded C3I capabilities, the average age of military hardware or morale – the Russian armed forces are far ahead of the West.

Does anybody sincerely believe that a few B-52s and a few thousand soldiers from different countries playing war in Poland will really scare the Russian generals?

But if not – why the threats?

My explanation is simple: the rulers of the Empire simply hope that the people in the West will never find out how bad their current military posture really is, and they also know that Russia will never attack first – so they simply pretend like they are still big, mighty and relevant. This is made even easier by the fact that the Russians always downplay their real capabilities (in sharp contrast to the West which always brags about “the best XYZ in the world”). That, and the fact that nobody in the Western ruling classes wants to admit that the game is over and that the Empire has collapsed.

If the civilian leadership permits the US military to go into action against Russia or China, or to invade either Iran or North Korea, the US military is going to be exposed as the paper tiger it has become. And that will cause the rapid collapse of the global empire that presently has 800 bases in 70 countries around the world. The President is trying to downsize the empire without triggering a complete collapse while the neocons are attempting to use the US military while it could still be potentially useful for them.

The only reason the US isn’t losing wars is because the President is preventing the US military from fighting them.

Building nihilists

 Spacebunny points out the long-term consequences for the trophies-for-everyone generation:

The rarely discussed long term effect of “a trophy for everyone” is how this has destroyed more than one generation’s mental toughness and drive to succeed. If, at a very young age and then for years, you are told your successes are meaningless and not worthy of being noted or acknowledged, what does that do to your ability to compete successfully in any area in the future?

No wonder so many of them are weak, afraid of failure, and desperate for affirmation. The purposeful detachment of effort from accomplishment has proven to be insidious and psychologically devastating.

That took place in the aftermath of the news that the goatskins for the Libraria Castalia editions of THE MISSIONARIES, THE DIVINE COMEDY, and AWAKE IN THE NIGHT LAND have all been tested and passed the finish quality test as well as the gold foil and 22k gold stamping tests. We anticipate – we don’t promise, we anticipate – all three editions shipping to subscribers and purchasers by the end of October.

Below is an image of the test results sent to me by the bindery. The bright detailed design is the gold foil stamp, which is used to test the ability of the leather to hold detail even though we don’t use any foil on the Libraria editions. The square blocks are the 22k gold stamp, which is not quite as bright as the foil, and explains why the Libraria covers look more subtle than the Library or Easton Press covers.

Mailvox: a bad review

Apparently this gentleman was not pleased by the Voxiversity video about Jordan Peterson.

Here I was hoping to find actual intellectual criticism of Mr. Peterson. Instead I just find an absurd amount of baseless claims, twisting of the truth, and appeals to emotion. This video is a shining example of hate-mongering and ignorance hidden behind a veil of “entertainment”. Points for reference: 1 guy disputing Jordan’s claims is not evidence of his claims being false. It also doesn’t mean that what Jordan is saying is absolutely true. The entire point of lectures in real academia is for people to look at life from different angles to improve your own scope of understanding. This is to say, knowledge is just repetition, intellect is using knowledge to form your own ideas. If I were to compare it to food, it’s like being given potatoes and experimenting on your own to make mashed potatoes, or home fries, or gratin, etc. Only sheep take words at face value and apply them as rules for life, because every life is different. You call out his mental illness, yes the guy is clinically depressed, he’s talked about it openly. Despite having clinical depression, this guy has risen to be an esteemed professor. The people who bring about real change to the world are not the sheep, but instead the skeptics, the insane, and the so-called mentally ill. Jordan, instead of falling to his “illness”, has instead used that different perspective to give people a different (and overwhelmingly positive) outlook on their own lives and role in society. You criticize his inability to claim a religious doctrine multiple times through the video. He has described this perfectly in other talks. A large part of this is he doesn’t want to get lumped into groups, as you are trying to do. If he says he isn’t Christian, then he is atheist scum that shouldn’t be listened to, if he is, then he is a religious fool that is blind to the truth. He recognizes this question as a “gotcha”, and it’s disappointing that anyone claiming to be a purveyor of knowledge would push this argument (that’s talking about you here buddy). I honestly don’t know why I bothered with a response to a creator who clipped a fragment of JP quoting Nietzsche and tried to attribute the thought/words to his view of life. That alone shows your blatant disrespect to knowledge and towards the sanctity of intelligent debate. What kind of person lambastes another for quoting someone else? You. You do that sir. Under your methodology, any history teacher who talks about the holocaust or the gulags is now scum of the earth, not worthy of being listened to. 

It strikes me that if the gentleman is correct, and the people who bring about real change to the world are the insane and the mentally ill, that would go a long way toward explaining why everything is getting crazier and crazier.

Preparing to fight the Demon State

If the Archbishop is to be believed, the President has not even yet begun his battle against the Demon State:
