China rubs Afghan failure in US face

The Taliban is recognized by China:

The inviting of a delegation from the Taliban Islamic fundamentalist group to Beijing this week has raised eyebrows across the world. Is China being clever, or does it face grave dangers on entering the “graveyard of empires”?

China this week took the highly unusual step of hosting a delegation from the Taliban in Beijing for talks, as concerns rise about the future of Afghanistan, amidst growing fighting and a massive offensive by the Islamist group against the government, whose days are increasingly seen as numbered.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated he expected the Taliban to play a role in the “peace, reconciliation and reconstruction process” in Afghanistan. The visit was interpreted widely by the mainstream media that China was giving its blessing to the legitimacy of the Taliban on the international stage, and this has occurred despite huge ideological and theological differences between the two sides.

Despite all that, they have found a set of “common interests” to collude in, concerning the future of the country. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, while visiting India, said that the Taliban risks creating a “pariah state” but nonetheless admitted that China may have a “positive role to play” in the country.

There is no chance China is going to make the mistake of the British, Soviet, and US empires. This is a PR move meant to underline China’s international influence growing at the expense of the declining imperial US.

China is playing its grand strategy very, very well. It’s avoiding the mistake of confronting the US directly – it refused to arm or otherwise assist the Taliban while the USA was at war with them – knowing that time and demographics are on its side.

Americans are the Indians now

The inability of the Indians to band together against the invading Europeans presages the inability of the posterity of the American Revolution to stand together against the multiple waves of immigrants that have invaded, transformed, and even disappeared the very concept of the American nation:

King Philip had one extraordinary advantage as war raged in the autumn of 1675: The settlers did not know how to fight an Indian war. They couldn’t cross a swamp, they couldn’t travel silently in woods, they couldn’t keep warm outdoors. Indians won battle after battle.

But the victories were Pyrrhic. Plymouth and its allies in Massachusetts Bay, Rhode Island, and Connecticut were connected to global trade networks and could import food, while the Indians were an agricultural people a long way from their fields and stores. King Philip’s troops may have been winning. But they were also starving. The English controlled the technological platform of the war. However formidable Indians were at firing guns, they could not manufacture them. The best hope of the Wampanoags and their Nipmuck, Narragansett, and Abenaki allies was to enlist the ferocious Mohawks of the upper Hudson, with their thousands of fighting men. But the Mohawks’ ferocity (and independence) rested on arms obtained from Albany merchants whom they could not afford to alienate. They entered the war against King Philip, suddenly and to devastating effect.

Finally, the English had cohesion, however you choose to name it: solidarity, like-mindedness, uniformity. The Indians had diversity. That meant some fought with Philip and others fought against him. The Christians among them were an important source of intelligence to the English. War split up not just families but, among the tribal leaders, marriages. King Philip was driven eastward, back across Massachusetts, to his homeland and his fate.

“If the Wampanoags are as much our fellow Americans as the descendants of the Pilgrims,” Silverman asks, “and if their history can be as instructional and inspirational as that of the English, then why continue to tell a Thanksgiving myth that focuses exclusively on the colonists’ struggles rather than theirs?” The answer, as noted, is that we no longer do tell that myth, and haven’t for years. Once we have dismissed the Puritans’ religious claims, once we lose interest in the way their democratic intuitions, from the Mayflower Compact onward, anticipate our own democratic institutions, then we are left with a tale of increasing tensions between two ethnic communities that eventually exploded into war. Every prejudice that has been schooled into Americans over the past half-century would prompt them to root against the Pilgrims.

But that is no longer the only reason we don’t look at Plymouth from a Pilgrim perspective. Of the two communities that confronted each other in New England 400 years ago, it may now be the Indians, not the Pilgrims, who most resemble today’s Americans. The Wampanoags were divided between, on one hand, cosmopolitans like Massasoit, who believed that there was room for a mosaic of peoples in southeastern Massachusetts, and, on the other, skeptical provincials like Philip who lost faith in that ideal. They lacked the cohesion to stand up against a resolute rival.

A remark often bandied about today is Adam Smith’s to the effect that “[t]here is a great deal of ruin in a nation,” by which he meant that it takes a much greater set of misfortunes to destroy a nation, and over a much longer period of time, than we commonly realize. It is not actually true. The Wampanoags went from dominance and confidence to a point of no return in about 55 or 60 years. Suddenly they were losing population, and abandoning old values, too. Each problem fed on the other in a dangerous process. Once a people begins debating how much ruin there is in a nation, that process is already well underway.

This is why it is so pointless for conservatives to babble about “they’re trying to divide us” and other nonsensical civnatteries. There is no longer one single “us”, there are only multiple nations negotiating and jockeying for power over everyone else.

Perhaps Americans will preserve a rump state amongst the ashes of empire. Or perhaps the conquerors of the US empire will permit whites a few reservations out in North Dakota and Idaho.

Mailvox: tribalism wins

A reader relates a recent encounter with a group of Mennonites:

I am currently staying at a travel lodge in northern Wisconsin and there are 30-40 old school Mennonites, cousins of the Amish, also here.  The free self-serve breakfast room provides lessons regarding how the Amish likely will behave if, as speculated, they ever do achieve population dominance.

The Mennonites entered the room en masse and immediately occupied every open table remaining in the place.  Each clan had its own table and it did not matter whether there were two members or eight, they had their own table by clan and would stand beside their territorial claim despite empty seats being available at the other Mennonite tables. Spaces were reserved by laying objects in the conventional way.

Then the Mennonites formed an after church social barrier in front of the food supply, blocking outsiders from access in polite fashion while kibbitzing together in Swiss German.  The kids were all barefoot and roaming around, which dissuaded the rest of us from approaching.

About six old ladies commandeered the two waffle-making machines and began preparing waffles exclusively for all Mennonites.  They cast intimidating glares at some tough-looking brawny, sleeveless construction workers who attempted to stand in line for waffles.  Not gonna happen.

The men, who are noticeably trimmer than the somewhat fat women, helped themselves to all the food, making immediate return trips to fill up individual and shared plates for their tables.  This left only coffee for the outsiders.

No grace was given nor prayers offered, once the last old lady abandoned her waffle post the entire group began eating and the men discussed whatever Swiss German topic.  The food area resembled a war zone where the cockroaches would have starved.

Those Mennonites are going to do well when things fall apart. The rugged individualists should be fine, at least as long as they’re out in the deep wilderness without any resources that these people happen to decide they need for their families.

Notice how the supposed tough guys couldn’t handle the old women. They could have unplugged the machines and refused to plug them back in until one machine was given to the non-Mennonites, but apparently they couldn’t even manage to work together in that one simple regard.

A century of Communist rule

Xi Jinping’s speech on the centenary of the Chinese Communist Party:

The Chinese nation is a great nation. With a history of more than 5,000 years, China has made indelible contributions to the progress of human civilization. After the Opium War of 1840, however, China was gradually reduced to a semi-colonial, semi-feudal society and suffered greater ravages than ever before. The country endured intense humiliation, the people were subjected to great pain, and the Chinese civilization was plunged into darkness. Since that time, national rejuvenation has been the greatest dream of the Chinese people and the Chinese nation.

To save the nation from peril, the Chinese people put up a courageous fight. As noble-minded patriots sought to pull the nation together, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement, the Reform Movement of 1898, the Yihetuan Movement, and the Revolution of 1911 rose one after the other, and a variety of plans were devised to ensure national survival, but all of these ended in failure. China was in urgent need of new ideas to lead the movement to save the nation and a new organization to rally revolutionary forces.

With the salvoes of Russia’s October Revolution in 1917, Marxism-Leninism was brought to China. Then in 1921, as the Chinese people and the Chinese nation were undergoing a great awakening and Marxism-Leninism was becoming closely integrated with the Chinese workers’ movement, the Communist Party of China was born. The founding of a communist party in China was an epoch-making event, which profoundly changed the course of Chinese history in modern times, transformed the future of the Chinese people and nation, and altered the landscape of world development.

Since the very day of its founding, the Party has made seeking happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation its aspiration and mission. All the struggle, sacrifice, and creation through which the Party has united and led the Chinese people over the past hundred years has been tied together by one ultimate theme-bringing about the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

To realize national rejuvenation, the Party united and led the Chinese people in fighting bloody battles with unyielding determination, achieving great success in the new-democratic revolution.

Through the Northern Expedition, the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, and the War of Liberation, we fought armed counter-revolution with armed revolution, toppling the three mountains of imperialism, feudalism, and bureaucrat-capitalism and establishing the People’s Republic of China, which made the people masters of the country. We thus secured our nation’s independence and liberated our people.

The victory of the new-democratic revolution put an end to China’s history as a semi-colonial, semi-feudal society, to the state of total disunity that existed in old China, and to all the unequal treaties imposed on our country by foreign powers and all the privileges that imperialist powers enjoyed in China. It created the fundamental social conditions for realizing national rejuvenation.

Through tenacious struggle, the Party and the Chinese people showed the world that the Chinese people had stood up, and that the time in which the Chinese nation could be bullied and abused by others was gone forever.

Never forget that the adjective modifies the noun. The operative word in the phrase “Chinese Communist” is “Chinese”. If one compares the original Communist Manifesto with the Three Represents and the 14 Points of the Xi Jinping Thought, it soon becomes clear that China is considerably less genuinely communist in the original Marxian sense than the United States is now. This makes sense, contra the mainstream narrative, because the US is presently ruled by the intellectual heirs of Leon Trotsky.

Furthermore, it should be noted that the literal translation of “Communist Party” into Western political terms is United Production Party. The correct emphasis is upon the Chinese concepts that underlie the translation, not the nineteenth-century label for a failed economic philosophy, especially given the fact that China was not an advanced capitalist society facing a crisis of capitalism.

Both Putin and Xi have made it clear that the post-Cold War period of the USA as the one global superpower are over. Russia survived the financial occupation that followed its defeat and China won its unrestricted war with the US empire by avoiding the military conflict that would have ensured its defeat.

But empires seldom fall easily, which is why these are perilous times.

Give them their new flag

They aren’t Americans, so they have no claim to the Red, White, and Blue anyhow. And they hate it, so by all means, let them replace it.

The truth is far simpler, as truth usually is. The American flag is the symbol of a political and cultural order that no longer exists. White America is a thing of the past. The new regime, what Darren Beattie calls the “Globalist American Empire,” is anti-white and seeks to impose this cultural order on the entire world. The GAE is defined by the rejection of the historic American nation’s achievements and it celebrates the destruction of traditional Western civilization. The West’s greatest foe is not Beijing or Moscow, but the government on the Potomac that disgraces the name of George Washington.

White conservatives are misled by their supposed leaders when they are told that they should defend this. Giving the new regime a new flag will help whites understand the truth. The country white conservatives love is gone. They will need to build a new one if they want their people, culture, or identity to survive in any form. If they don’t, they’ll be surrendering to eternal subjugation and humiliation. “Juneteenth” is the beginning and reparations will be just another step.

Therefore, I endorse Miss Gray’s proposal. Let the GAE have its new flag. Let patriotic Americans finally see the political reality.

The mewling appeals to a nonexistent unity demonstrates the reprehensible idiocy of conservatives and civic nationalists. No one is “trying to divide America”. America is now a conquered and occupied nation, whose people cringe in fear of being punished by its ruling foreign elite. This is so obvious, despite the blithering denials of the conquered, that the invaders don’t even want to bother with the skinsuit anymore.

So let them have their new flag. Perhaps that will wake a few Americans up to the reality of the situation.

As the writer notes, Sam Francis saw it coming back in 2000, for which he was vilified by all good and proper Republicans and conservatives.

In this new order, whites — whether Southern or not — would be denied any public affirmation of their cultural and historical identity, and the denial of their identity would more easily allow their cultural and political subjugation to the non-white majority that has been projected to emerge in the United States in the next half century. The end result of the attack on Confederate symbolism, in other words, is not merely the disappearance of the Confederate flag, “Dixie,” and other symbols and customs of interest mainly to Southerners and Civil War buffs but, in time, the eradication of all symbols from pre-1960s America that suggest a white-based or “Eurocentric” public identity. With their disappearance and the cultural and racial dispossession it represents would come the racial domination of white Americans by the non-white majority of the next century.

Remember, every time you proudly proclaimed your non-racism, every time you boasted about how you didn’t care about color, every time you said the problem wasn’t immigration but ILLEGAL immigration, every time you proclaimed Not ALL X Are Like That, every time you talked about Judeo-Christian values, every time you proclaimed equality as a virtue, you helped make this happen

And here we are. Appealing to civic nationalism cannot fix the problem, because civic nationalism is how the problem was permitted to develop in the first place.

The liberal perspective on US decline

This is a long and thoughtful article on the decline of the USA from the perspective of a good liberal Democrat. It’s worth reading, if only to see how completely the author manages to miss the point while rather comprehensively, for the most part, describing the Four Americas as he sees them.

Just America’s origins in theory, its intolerant dogma, and its coercive tactics remind me of 1930s left-wing ideology. Liberalism as white supremacy recalls the Communist Party’s attack on social democracy as “social fascism.” Just American aesthetics are the new socialist realism.

The dead end of Just America is a tragedy. This country has had great movements for justice in the past and badly needs one now. But in order to work, it has to throw its arms out wide. It has to tell a story in which most of us can see ourselves, and start on a path that most of us want to follow.

All four of the narratives I’ve described emerged from America’s failure to sustain and enlarge the middle-class democracy of the postwar years. They all respond to real problems. Each offers a value that the others need and lacks ones that the others have. Free America celebrates the energy of the unencumbered individual. Smart America respects intelligence and welcomes change. Real America commits itself to a place and has a sense of limits. Just America demands a confrontation with what the others want to avoid. They rise from a single society, and even in one as polarized as ours they continually shape, absorb, and morph into one another. But their tendency is also to divide us, pitting tribe against tribe. These divisions impoverish each narrative into a cramped and ever more extreme version of itself.

All four narratives are also driven by a competition for status that generates fierce anxiety and resentment. They all anoint winners and losers. In Free America, the winners are the makers, and the losers are the takers who want to drag the rest down in perpetual dependency on a smothering government. In Smart America, the winners are the credentialed meritocrats, and the losers are the poorly educated who want to resist inevitable progress. In Real America, the winners are the hardworking folk of the white Christian heartland, and the losers are treacherous elites and contaminating others who want to destroy the country. In Just America, the winners are the marginalized groups, and the losers are the dominant groups that want to go on dominating.

I don’t much want to live in the republic of any of them.

It’s common these days to hear people talk about sick America, dying America, the end of America. The same kinds of things were said in 1861, in 1893, in 1933, and in 1968. The sickness, the death, is always a moral condition. Maybe this comes from our Puritan heritage. If we are dying, it can’t be from natural causes. It must be a prolonged act of suicide, which is a form of murder.

I don’t think we are dying. We have no choice but to live together—we’re quarantined as fellow citizens. Knowing who we are lets us see what kinds of change are possible. Countries are not social-science experiments. They have organic qualities, some positive, some destructive, that can’t be wished away. Our passion for equality, the individualism it produces, the hustle for money, the love of novelty, the attachment to democracy, the distrust of authority and intellect—these won’t disappear. A way forward that tries to evade or crush them on the road to some free, smart, real, or just utopia will never arrive and instead will run into a strong reaction. But a way forward that tries to make us Equal Americans, all with the same rights and opportunities—the only basis for shared citizenship and self-government—is a road that connects our past and our future.

It’s fascinating how concepts such as “immigration” and “offshoring” and “real wages” and “1965 Naturalization Act” and “surveillance society” don’t even enter into the thought processes of the liberal attempting to understand the current situation. And it’s informative to see that despite this, even the self-styled Smart American can see that the situation is untenable.

It’s impossible to resolve the situation through dialogue because all of the assumptions upon which the dialogue is based are fake. The Smart Americans are not that Smart and their beloved credentials are fraudulent. The Free Americans are not Free. Many of the Real Americans are not actually Americans, and the Just Americans are neither just nor are most of them even actual Americans.

The next global leader

As the USA visibly declines, some are claiming that Israel is destined to be the next global leader. Which appears to be a self-refuting argument, given that one would have to be on some very strong hallucinogenic drugs to believe that the per capita rate of drug consumption has anything to do with global power.

Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, the Chief Rabbi of Safed and a member of the Israel’s Rabbinate Council, says that we are witnessing the beginning of the end of America as a superpower, thus paving the way for Israel to take its place in guiding civilization forward.

“It is with great sadness that we can remember this event [storming of the US Capitol] as part of the process of America’s descent from the stage of history. It’s a sad moment, but it happens,” Rabbi Eliyahu wrote in a piece for Arutz 7.

The Rabbi points out that throughout history many empires and superpowers have fallen as a result of moral crises. Whether it was Rome, Egypt, England or Russia, no civilization can endure once there is a breakdown of its ethical foundations.

The Rabbi believes the time has come for Israel to fill the vacuum of leadership left by the failing American experiment. “One can’t help but mention the collapse of England and France, once regarded as among the four world-governing powers,” he writes. “Who remembers them today as such? They collapsed upon themselves like all of Europe, where moral values and justice have been replaced with ‘political correctness’. Family values have been replaced by hedonism.”

The Rabbi points out correctly that there is a vacuum in moral leadership in the world today and believes that it is Israel’s destiny to take up this role. “Israel leads the world in protecting family values,” he stresses. “The average number of children for an Israeli woman is double the average of the Western world, and that is what drives the successful Israeli economy and ingenuity.”

As examples of the moral decline in the West, the Rabbi noted that “Russia leads the world in alcohol consumption, and the US leads the world in drug consumption. Israel, on the other hand, has among the lowest rates of alcohol and drug consumption in the world.”

Rabbi Eliyahu also believes that there will never be a military or popular coup to overthrow the government in Israel, as happened to nations and empires throughout history. “We all remember the heavy toll of the destruction of the Second Temple and we won’t let it come to that again,” he writes, referring to the belief among many Israelis that Jerusalem was sacked because of the divisions and infighting amongst the Jews.

I suspect the Russians, and in particular, the Chinese, will have just a little something to say about what comes next. The Chinese, in particular, have indicated that they have absolutely no intention of permitting anyone else to tell them what to do.

And as for the breakdown of the USA’s ethical foundations, well, who was primarily responsible for that, Rabbi? I don’t seem to recall the media being run by Canadians, the political parties being controlled by the American Icelandic Political Action Committee, the porn industry being operated by the Japanese, the thought police being run by Nigerians, or the removal of prayer from the schools being driven by Bangladeshis.

Israel can’t even rule over eight million Palestinians with any noticeable degree of success. The short, but event-filled history of imperial Israel of the last 70 years, to say nothing of the ghastly Bolshevik rule in Russia, doesn’t exactly lend support to the idea of Israel “guiding civilization forward”. Forget global leadership, Israel will need to be fortunate and self-sufficient if it even hopes survive the decline and fall of the country that has been propping it up for decades.

A little reminder

I’m not expecting anything exciting to come out of the Geneva talks between Russian President Putin and US Fake President Fake Biden, but apparently the Sino-Russian alliance isn’t being subtle about reminding everyone who has the initiative now:

Russia and China have heaped pressure on Joe Biden with provocative military drills in the Pacific and the South China Sea ahead of the US President’s showdown with Vladimir Putin in Geneva today.

USAF stealth fighters were scrambled to Hawaii on Sunday as Moscow launched its biggest naval exercises in the Pacific since the Cold War, while in the South China Sea, an American carrier group has steamed in as Chinese warplanes tear around Taiwan.

Biden will finally sit down with Putin on Wednesday for their first presidential summit on Lake Geneva – the choice of venue harking back to the Cold War meeting between Ronald Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev in 1985.

Relations between the two sides are similarly cool – at their lowest ebb in decades after Putin’s outlandish cyber attacks against the US, aggression towards Ukraine, poisoning of Alexei Navalny and intervention in the Middle East.

Putin arrived at Geneva airport early this afternoon, a day after Biden, ahead of the meeting at the Villa de la Grange, a stunning chateau overlooking Lake Geneva ripe for photo-ops and small talk filled with bookcases, Trompe l’oeil ceiling details and a colorful rose garden.

What appears to be taking place is stage-managing the displacement of the USA as the premier global power. This is a delicate process, chiefly because very few in the USA even believe this is possible, much less that it has already taken place. But people who pay close attention to these matters have been anticpating and planning for this moment for more than a decade.

The fear expressed that “a real decline of the West, particularly the United States, would have dramatic consequences for the Jewish people,” also led to controversy. Brandeis University president Jehuda Reinharz agreed that this type of decline can be expected “in the coming two decades” – but Stuart Eisenstadt was less emphatic about it. He believes the United States will remain the leading power. In all events, it was agreed the Jews “should strengthen cultural links with non-Western civilizations, particularly China and also India,” powers that are on the ascent.

That was 14 years ago. However, as we’ve seen, the project to establish a cultural connection with China did not go so well.

The criminalization of reality

Thanks to their Promethean rulers, neither the USA nor the UK are very far away from literally outlawing the idea that 2+2=4.

A mother-of-two law student investigated by university chiefs after saying ‘women have vaginas’ has won her disciplinary hearing, it has today been revealed.
Lisa Keogh, 29, was hauled before a disciplinary panel at the University of Abertay in Dundee after she made the comments during a seminar on transgender issues.
But after a two month probe, which took place as the mature student underwent her final year exams, the university has now dropped its case against her.
University chiefs cited a ‘lack of evidence’ behind the decision to drop the internal investigation.
Today Ms Keogh hit out at the university for subjecting her to what she described as  a ‘cruel witch hunt’ due to her ‘gender critical views’.
The university deny Ms Keogh was put through the disciplinary procedure because of her ‘personal opinions’.

Notice that the internal investigation wasn’t dropped because it is evil and stupid to punish people for making incontrovertibly true statements of fact, but for lack of evidence that she had made one.

What they are doing is attempting to enforce the lie by enshrining it into law. But once you start forcing people to accept your lies as truth, whether they are “some women have penises” or “there was never a land called Palestine” or “all men are equal”, you’re already on the path to losing your indoor plumbing.

That does add up

Last year, I was wondering how on Earth it would be theoretically possible for the US population to drop to under 100 million in the next four years when other countries like China and Russia were predicted to remain essentially flat. In addition to the USA, a number of west European countries were also predicted to experience significant population declines by 2025 by Deagle, a Janes-style outfit that sells intelligence and military analysis. Col. Deagle, an unusually well-connected man who had been active in the international foundation scene, died in February 2021.

What was especially strange about the prediction was that the analysts made it clear that this negative population growth was not expected to result from nuclear war or a pandemic, but rather from “the Great Reset”. But what could that mean and how could it reduce populations on such a scale? Unfortunately, after seeing this chart below, there is a logical explanation for the prediction.

The lesson, as always, is this: don’t get the vaxx under any circumstances.
