Doesn’t anyone know how to play this game?

Steve Sailer busts the Other Vox:

From Vox, an article about factchecking that starts with an un-factchecked falsehood:

Trump supporters know Trump lies. They just don’t care.
A new study explains the psychological power — and hard limits — of fact-checking journalism.

During the campaign — and into his presidency — Donald Trump repeatedly exaggerated and distorted crime statistics. “Decades of progress made in bringing down crime are now being reversed,” he asserted in his dark speech at the Republican National Convention in July 2016. But the data here is unambiguous: FBI statistics show crime has been going down for decades.

Uh, the liberal Brennan Center estimated back in April 2017 that the homicide rate (the most reliable crime rate) was nationally 19% higher in 2016 than in 2014 and up 29% in the 30 biggest cities.

Media “fact-checking” is a perfect example of pseudo-dialectic. It’s framed in the style of dialectic, and pretends to be an objective appeal to the truth, but it is actually nothing more than disguised rhetoric meant to manipulate the emotions of the reader. Which, of course, is why it is almost entirely ineffective. The “hard limits” are the result of their “facts” being incongruous with observable reality and the truth as the target perceives it.

The problem most people have in understanding the difference between rhetoric and dialectic, let alone grasping the concept of pseudo-dialectic, is that they are philosophically monolingual. Consider, for example, Jagi Lamplighter’s typically dialectic disdain for rhetoric.

The problem with Rhetoric is…it cannot stand up against reality. It is only useful for persuading sheep. Worse, when a person is persuaded by rhetoric, he will change his mind as soon as someone comes along with snazzier rhetoric.

The advantage of dialectic is when someone is persuaded by reason, they stay persuaded.

Vox is a bright and brave man with brilliant ideas. He is so smart that much of what he understands, most people cannot follow—and that is a harsh and lonely way to live.

But that doesn’t mean that he can’t use his brilliance to learn how to present real arguments in a simple and concise manner that the masses can grasp.

This rhetoric nonsense is beneath him.

But one might as reasonably claim that this Chinese nonsense is beneath the English speaker, even when speaking to a Chinese-speaking audience. Jagi’s faith in my ability to not only leap the IQ communications gap, but successfully reason with emotion-driven non-thinkers, is probably more flattering than she knows, but I can assure her, neither I nor anyone else in the course of human history has ever been sufficiently brilliant for that.

Remember, dialectic is a form of rhetoric. That sweet reason dialectic speakers value so highly is merely a subset of the art of persuasion, and moreover, it is not the only legitimate form. Rhetoric is not about truth and falsehood per se, but rather emotional content that can point towards the truth with falsehood as readily as it points towards falsehood with the truth. And, as I noted above, the more rhetoric points towards the recognized truth, the more effective it tends to be.

Locked out of Twitter again

From our friends at Twitter:

We’ve temporarily limited some of your account features.

Supreme Dark Lord @voxday

What happened?

We have determined that you have violated the Twitter Rules, so we’ve temporarily limited some of your account features. While in this state, you can still browse Twitter, but you’re limited to only sending Direct Messages to your followers — no Tweets, Retweets, or likes. Your account will be restored to full functionality in: 6 days and 20 hours.

I can’t say I’m entirely shocked, considering that I had repeatedly broken my own advice against responding to SJWs on Twitter. Not smart. They complain to the amenable authority, and next thing you know, you’re “temporarily limited” or worse. No worries, though, I’ll simply go back to auto-muting any SJW who tries to “debate” me.

This will have absolutely no effect on the Daily Meme Wars. The mail will go out tomorrow morning as scheduled.

Here we go again

The pollsters are making a few “honest mistakes of their own. Again.

Most national pollsters are back churning out biased and misleading poll numbers after recovering from their shock over President Donald Trump’s 2016 election victory, according to The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group analysis.

“I do know inherently there is a Democratic bias in the polls. And most of them will deny it” says Raghavan Mayur, an independent pollster who is president of TechnoMetrica, which leads the polling operations at Investor’s Business Daily.

A national financial news organization, IBD was one of the few polling organizations to predict a Trump victory, and it has accurately called the last four presidential elections.

“Typically, the mainstream media and the major polling companies will never admit their bias to you,” Mayur said. “This is like an alcoholic not admitting to using alcohol. They are in denial.”

Democratic pollster Patrick Caddell agreed with Mayur, saying “there was a couple of days of shock. And then they moved on because what they could not do is to get to the bottom of their own polling bias.”

In other words, they’re undercounting likely Trump supporters by 6 to 9 percent. Keep this in mind when the 2018 election cycle begins.

An “honest mistake”

Strange, is it not, how these “honest mistakes” never seem to be made in favor of any Republican politician or right-wing public figure?

Sarah Palin’s defamation lawsuit against The New York Times should be tossed because the paper made “an honest mistake” when it said she incited a 2011 shooting that severely wounded Arizona Rep. Gabby Giffords and killed six people, a lawyer for the Gray Lady said on Friday.

“There was an honest mistake in posting the editorial,” lawyer David Schultz told Manhattan federal Judge Jed Rakoff.

Last week, Palin sued the Times over a June 14th editorial that stated there was a “direct” link between one of Palin’s PAC ads and the shooting by Jared Lee Loughner. But there’s no evidence he ever saw the ad, which placed Gifford’s district in stylized crosshairs. The Times issued a correction.

On Friday, Palin’s lawyers argued that the Times knew the story was false. “It was literally acknowledged the same day in another story in their paper,” said Kenneth Turkel.

I’m only surprised that lightning didn’t strike lawyer David Schultz dead on the spot. And when you’re chiefly known for #FakeNews and hit pieces, it probably doesn’t bode well for your chances of selling the innocent mistake narrative.

Surrender or antisemite

Those are the options being presented by the Israeli ambassador to Hungary. I have no doubt that Hungary will rightly choose the latter.

The Israeli ambassador in Budapest has called on the Hungarian government to end its campaign against Jewish billionaire George Soros, which he claims is stoking antisemitic sentiment.

The Hungarian government has recently rolled out a nationwide billboard campaign, urging Hungarians to stand firm against the ruinous influence of the Jewish financial speculator.

George Soros is well known for his involvement in the open borders campaign, with his Open Society organisation essentially acting as a front for the criminal people smugglers bringing third world migrants to Europe.

What is lesser known however, is the extent to which Soros is using his ‘soft power’ to influence civil society.

The Central European University in Budapest was founded and bankrolled by the Jewish billionaire, and has attempted to exert its influence against Viktor Orbán’s popular government in loosely veiled retaliation for recent legal measures against the university.

In recent months Hungary has seen protests by students carrying the Soros message against the potential closure of the university, with some fearing that this could be the beginning of another ‘colour revolution’.

Soros’ Open Society organisation has also worked tirelessly behind the scenes against the Hungarian government’s opposition to illegal immigration, despite the fact that 98.5% of Hungarians rejected illegal migrant quotas in a referendum just last year.

Yet despite the validity of the Hungarian government’s complaints against George Soros, it is apparently antisemitic to speak out.

Hungary’s largest Jewish organisation Mazsihisz has also called for the government to end its campaign, also on the basis that it is ‘antisemitic’.

This is precisely why I don’t give an airborne rodent’s fornication about it when people cry antisemitism or Holocaust anymore. It’s no different than when Zoe Quinn or Anita Sarkeesian cry sexual harassment and death threats; the accusations are just a rhetorical means of attempting to shut down legitimate and well-merited criticism. There is simply no substance to them.

If you’re going to call me a Nazi, or a Fascist, or an antisemite, or a Holocaust denier, or a rape apologist, or an Alien Autopsy denier, or a racist sexist transgenderphobe, or an anthropogenic global warming denier, or whatever vituperative label you can concoct because I disagree with your belief that one world government under anyone but Jesus Christ is desirable, then I do not give so much as a single electron for your opinion.

The undeniable fact is that most people have a very good reason to hate certain individuals and what those individuals have done to their nations as well as the rest of Mankind. Their creed and ethnicity is irrelevant. If you don’t hate what Immanuel Celler did to the USA, you’re objectively anti-American. And if you don’t hate what George Soros has done to European countries from the UK to Hungary, you’re either evil yourself or you are simply unaware of the unmitigated wickedness of his globe-spanning Evil Society. And if you don’t hate these creeps who believe God has chosen them to enslave the rest of humanity, well, you’re clearly suffering from a severe lack of self-esteem.

UPDATE: 1,115 people have signed up for the #MemeWar. Join the party, we’re having fun!

After talking to a couple of people who follow me on Twitter and somehow didn’t realize I’d published a book, let alone 15, I’ve been thinking about how it might be possible to increase the general awareness of Castalia’s catalog while simultaneously expanding our collective meme war capabilities. Nearly 10,000 of you are on the New Release mailing list, but I’m not willing to use that for anything but announcing new ebook releases once or twice a month. We don’t even email announcements of new print or audiobook editions, although we probably should.

But I was thinking that by putting out a Meme of the Day, which everyone on the MemeWar email list could then put up on their blog, Gab, or Twitter that day, we might be able to effectively set things trending on a regular basis. The Meme of the Day would be “sponsored” by one of our books, which might or might not be related.

Today’s MOTD. Do feel free to spread the love.

We’re reaching levels of #FakeNews that were not previously believed to even be possible. #CNNMemeWar #CNNBlackmail

And yes, I know an address shows up when you subscribe. No worries.

Christian civic nationalism

Would that the Christian churches had embraced this civic nationalist position rather than the cucked, anti-Biblical, globalist false Samaritanism that is their current creed. John C. Wright applies the Thomistic position to the immigration question:

No nation is required by God’s law to allow citizenship to any strangers not yet having the common good firmly at heart.

If divine law allows Mosiac law to forbid Ammonites and Moabite and other known enemies from being welcomed into fellowship, that is, citizenship, likewise the laws of a Christian nation can forbid Mohammedans from dwelling among them.

If divine law allowed Mosiac law to forbid friendly foreigners from being welcomed before the third generation, likewise the laws of a Christian nation can forbid the Christians who speak of different tongue, Mexicans and the like, from being granting the franchise to vote until their grandchildren have been born and raised here. Since this is roughly the amount of time it takes a group eager to acclimate and amalgamate into our customs and language to leave behind their Chinatowns and Little Italies and become true Americans, I see no evil in following the Thomist wisdom in that matter.

However, no matter how many generations pass, sad history has shown that children of Mohammedans born and raised in Western nations are too often still loyal to Sharia Law, to the brutal and vulgar practices of this alien and satanic religion, and too often are easily led to commit atrocities no votaries of civilized religions are wont to do.

The loyalty and the degree of Westernization by the first generation of Mohammedan immigrants has been proved by the harsh lesson of history to be immaterial.

Even if the grandfather is willing to be a citizen of a Western republic, or a subject of a Christian king, his grandchildren, upon reading the Alcoran and hearing the voice crying from the minaret, are subject to a strong temptation to forswear their civilian loyalties which, as history testifies, are simply not present in other faiths. It would be imprudent to assume that this temptation, which has operated often enough in times past to be noticeable, will sullenly and for no cause no longer influence future generations.

I would say that if three generations are required for citizenship, at least four generations are the bare minimum for political office, as that would have prevented Immanuel Celler, the man who is primarily responsible for the demographic destruction of the United States, from being elected to the House of Representatives and waging his successful 40-year jihad against White Christian America. All four of his grandparents were immigrants, thereby demonstrating the wisdom of permitting third-generation immigrants to set immigration policy.

Sadly, this sensible policy is no longer an option. The barn door cannot be barred after the horses escape. Which, of course, is why the civic nationalists, Christian or otherwise, are no longer relevant and the Alt-Right is inevitable. The fact is that the civic nationalists have never been willing to fight to defend or enforce their Proposition, but the Alt-Right is more than willing to fight to defend our various nations.

Mailvox: behold, the mighty Gamma

There was something strangely familiar about Tuatha’s atheist Gamma-bragging about how he is the intellectual superior of JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis, and everyone reading this blog:

The only thing needed to conclude lewis in nutshell, is that anyone who called himself an atheist because he hates god is a moron. Even tolkien could tell lewis was a birdbrain with his blatant and overuse of christian allegory that he regretted even trying to ‘convert’ him to christianity… Lewis was a fucking retard with no iota of a neuron in his tiny head. He was so stupid that he bought pascal’s wager-the absolute dumbest argument ever conceived-hook, line, and sinker. I know what the obese shit-for-brains said and wrote. I have read Mere Christianity beginning to end. His whole line of thinking is the worst sort of diabetic autism that I have ever seen outside of antifa and ‘brony nationalists’…. If I wanted I could easily go to oxford and get at least three positions there if I wanted without much effort.

Ah yes, it was this.

I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words.

You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands.

Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue.

But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it.

You’re fucking dead, kiddo.

Gammas. They never change. A million different variations, but always the same delusions of superiority.

The amusing thing is that, as is customary, the Gamma doesn’t even have his basic facts right. In the unlikely event he has read Mere Christianity as claimed, he has not understood it, because CS Lewis doesn’t base his apologetics on Pascal’s Wager. Even the passage that has been described as a “reflection of the basic premise of the argument” is not based on Pascal’s writings, but rather, the apostle Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians.

“Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, is of infinite importance. The one thing it cannot be is moderately important.”
– CS Lewis

“If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.”
– 1 Corinthians 15:12-19

UPDATE: Nailed it. The Gamma is BUTTHURT beyond belief.

How to keep your country

Hungary moves even further to the right:

Hundreds of Hungarian right-wing militants gathered in Budapest to launch a political movement that they hope will run in next year’s parliamentary elections on a platform that includes open racism.

Hungary’s main opposition party, Jobbik, has been moving away from its far-right roots and is staking out a more centrist position. This has created space for new hard-right initiatives.

Three groups held a rally in the suburb of Vecsés labelled “unfurling the flag of the far right”. Although attendance was limited its leaders have reached a national audience in the media and plan to take part in the 2018 elections.

The movement, to be called Force and Determination, looks more radical than any organisation targeting a serious political role since the fall of communism, and uses openly racist language to oppose liberalism and immigration.

Balázs László, one of the movement’s leaders, told the crowd of mostly black-clad muscular, tattooed men that Europe showed an ill-conceived tolerance in the face of peril from its existing minorities and the influx of millions more people. “Tens of millions are added to the ranks of the Arabs, Africans and gypsies who will show no tolerance once they realise the power that their demographic significance lends them,” he said. “Our ethnic community must come first … there is no equality.”

That symbol is more than a little reminiscent of Generation Identitaire in France. What is remarkable about this development is that Hungary is already the best-governed nation in Europe, having been on the front lines against Islamic invasion for centuries. I mean, this is how the center-moderate government governs there.

Human rights groups have heavily criticised a vote by the Hungarian parliament to force all asylum seekers into detention camps as the country’s prime minister, Viktor Orbán, called migration “a Trojan horse for terrorism”.

The asylum seekers will be kept in converted shipping containers while they wait for their cases to be heard via video-link as part of measures Orbán said were designed to save Europe. He considers the migrants, many of whom are Muslims, as a threat to European Christian identity and culture.

The measure was fiercely opposed by civil liberties groups in the country and some socialist MPs but was nevertheless passed overwhelmingly by 138 votes to six with 22 abstentions. Support came from Orbán’s Fidesz party and the far-right Jobbik.

It’s important to keep pushing right because as the nationalist parties of the right, the mere act of governance is going to necessitate various compromises. As long as an uncompromising element remains outside of governance, there will be political force to counteract the leftward drift towards ill-conceived tolerance.

And as Hungary grows and prospers while the more tolerant nations of Europe burn and are overwhelmed by rape and violence, the appeal of the Right is only going to grow. Does this look like Germany to you?
