The man who destroyed America

The reason white working-class Americans no longer recognize their country is because it is no longer their country. This isn’t that hard. A society is made up of the people who inhabit it. It is not some sort of immutable structure that molds people into something else; the reason non-Romans in Rome behave like Romans is because they are heavily outnumbered and they don’t wish to draw Roman attention to themselves. Once they are numerous enough that they feel they can influence, or worse, “improve” the society they have invaded, they will change it from what it was before.

This is neither difficult nor debatable. Pour milk in your coffee and you can see the same process at work. Pour enough milk into it and it ceases to be coffee and starts to become milk.

  • Nearly two-thirds (65%) of white working-class Americans believe American culture and way of life has deteriorated since the 1950s.
  • Nearly half (48%) of white working-class Americans say, “things have changed so much that I often feel like a stranger in my own country.”
  • Nearly seven in ten (68%) white working-class Americans believe the American way of life needs to be protected from foreign influence. In contrast, fewer than half (44%) of white college-educated Americans express this view.
  • Nearly seven in ten (68%) white working-class Americans—along with a majority (55%) of the public overall—believe the U.S. is in danger of losing its culture and identity.
  • More than six in ten (62%) white working-class Americans believe the growing number of newcomers from other countries threatens American culture, while three in ten (30%) say these newcomers strengthen society.

That isn’t a graph of “the changing face of America”. That is a graph of America being transformed into Not-America, all thanks to one man, Emanuel Celler.

Celler made his first important speech on the House floor during consideration of the Johnson Immigration Act of 1924. Three years earlier, Congress had imposed a quota that limited immigration for persons of any nationality to 3 percent of that nationality present in the United States in 1910, with an annual admission limit of 356,000 immigrants. This national origin system was structured to preserve the ethnic and religious identity of the United States by reducing immigration from Eastern and Southern Europe, thereby excluding many Jews, Catholics, Italians, and others. Celler was vehemently opposed to the Johnson act, which passed the isolationist Congress and was signed into law. Celler had found his cause and for the next four decades he vigorously spoke out in favor of eliminating the national origin quotas as a basis for immigration restriction.

As Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee from 1949 to 1973 (except for a break from when the Republicans controlled the House), Celler was involved in drafting and passing the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Act of 1968 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. In January 1965, Celler proposed in the House of Representatives the Twenty-fifth Amendment, which clarifies an ambiguous provision of the Constitution regarding succession to the presidency. Also in 1965, he proposed and steered to passage the Hart-Celler Act, which eliminated national origins as a consideration for immigration. This was the culminating moment in Celler’s 41-year fight to overcome restriction on immigration to the United States based on national origin.

Note that he was a third-generation immigrant. Celler is an excellent demonstration of why God considers immigrants to be a curse upon the land, and why they and their descendants should never be permitted to participate in the political process in any society that wishes to maintain its national identity. Consider:

Know for certain that for four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own and that they will be enslaved and mistreated there.
– Genesis 15:13

After 400 years, the immigrants to Egypt were still not Egyptians.

The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you reside in my land as foreigners and strangers.
– Leviticus 25:23

Immigrants reside in the land as foreigners and strangers. There is no Magic Dirt transforming them into natives.

May a creditor seize all he has; may strangers plunder the fruits of his labor.
– Psalm 109:11

Debt and immigrant capitalists are literal curses.

Strangers will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.
– Isaiah 61:5

No doubt doing the jobs that the natives won’t do. Isn’t it remarkable how what is happening today was described so accurately several thousand years ago, when scientists can’t manage to make a simple temperature prediction ten years in advance.

Our inheritance has been turned over to strangers, our homes to foreigners.
– Lamentations 5:2

Immigration and the economic benefits they supposedly bring are a literal Biblical lamentation.

“It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”
– Matthew 15:26

A nation exists for the benefit of its children. Not for the benefit of strangers, foreigners, and immigrants. No wonder Europe’s childless leaders don’t give a damn about their nations. And if there is one core lesson of history, it is this: work your own damn fields.

There goes the Israeli-Turkish alliance

I wonder if the (((media))) will lose its enthusiasm for importing Turks now that Israel is also a destination:

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called on Muslims around the world to visit Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem to protect the site’s Islamic identity. The Turkish leader also took the opportunity to heap scorn on Israel, likening the country’s policies to South Africa’s Apartheid era. Speaking in Istanbul at a charity conference discussing Palestinian economic development, Erdogan lashed out at Israel regarding its settlement plans in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

“We, as Muslims, should be visiting Al-Quds more often,” Erdogan said, using the Arabic name for Jerusalem. “Each day that Jerusalem is under occupation is an insult to us.”

As many as 26,000 Turks visited the Temple Mount, or Noble Sanctuary, in 2016. However, Erdogan emphasised “hundreds of thousands” should be visiting the site, which is considered holy by Muslims. “[It] would be the greatest support to our brothers there,” he said.

“Al-Quds is holy for all three divine religions. It is the heart and summary of all human history.

“Both in terms of our religion and historical responsibility, Al-Quds and the fight of our Palestinian brothers for rights and justice is of great importance to us. We will keep making efforts for Quds to turn into a city of peace.”

Erdogan also said that permanent peace in the region would only be possible with a “fair solution to the Palestinian issue”.

“What’s the difference between the present acts of the Israeli administration and the racist and discriminatory politics that were practised against black people in the past in America – and up until a short time ago in South Africa.”<

“Here is the only solution. The establishment of a fully sovereign and independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital along the lines of 1967,” said Erdogan, according to Anadolu.

It would appear the next Hitler has identified himself.  Which is somewhat of a relief, as I was beginning to think the world might be running out of Hitlers. And we can’t have that.

I’ve long wondered what would happen if Israel were to go to war with NATO ally Turkey, with whom, unlike Israel, the USA actually has a treaty obliging mutual defense. I assume the US would simply ignore any obligations, but doing so would have some pretty serious long-term ramifications.

Mindset is Life

DLD and Crypto.Fashion have teamed up with Mike Cernovich to produce a line of Cernovich t-shirts, beginning with these two massively triggering specimens, CERNOVICH and MINDSET IS LIFE. The Che-style shirt also comes in Royal Blue and Stone Blue.

Crypto.Fashion is also offering a Buy 2, Get 3 sale on the Rabid Puppies 2017 shirt. Buy the Rabid Puppies 2017 shirt, plus one additional shirt, and you’ll receive the Rabid Puppies 2016 shirt, shown below, free. The new Cernovich shirts do count for the sale, as do the new Helicopter Ride shirts.

The CERNOVICH design leads to a question. DLD and Crypto.Fashion are doing a similar design featuring yours truly. The question is: would you rather have it say VOX DAY or SUPREME DARK LORD?

SJWs will SJW

The latest 5-star review of SJWs Always Lie:

My friend told me he ‘didn’t mind me’ reading this ‘as long as I didn’t pay for it’ (his words)

First off, I’d like to dedicate this review to an acquaintance named Ryan, who demonstrated a neighborly concern for my finances when he discovered I was reading this book.

“I truly hope you didn’t give that man money,” he said.

My response: “I have never been shy about my willingness to read anything by anyone, no matter the stigma attached to the author or subject.”

“I don’t mind you reading it. I just hope you didn’t pay for it.”

‘I don’t mind you reading it.’ That was big of him to permit my appraisal of this ‘problematic’ tome, wasn’t it? Typical SJW response. He said nothing of value in outlining his hatred for Vox Day, rather he responded with such vitriol in the hopes of currying favor with the countercultural overlords who supply his alcohol at a convention every November.

As such, I’m not too concerned with how peers might judge me for this review, because I’ve actually read the book while they treat it with the same icy contempt as a fundamental Christian would an Iron Maiden record in the 80’s. My first loyalty is with books, not literary cliques. Books by authors of every color, gender, inclination, religious or political persuasion, historical paradigm or fictional conceit. In short, the very same diversity they claim to embody.

I can’t find it within me to stigmatize a book that draws from resources as rich as Aristotle’s Rhetoric and lectures proffered by military strategists. Real men born for the battlefield.

This book also provides great examples of how detrimental the enforcement of diversity can be to not just a workplace, but a nation. Not because diversity is a bad idea in and of itself, but because it is unenforceable.

Aristotle once said “Before some audiences, not even the possession of the exactest knowledge will make it easy for what we say to produce conviction. For argument based on knowledge implies instruction, and there are people whom one cannot instruct.”

When you throw the words ‘misogynist’, ‘racist’ and ‘homophobe’ around every single day over anything from a statement taken out of context to a critic panning a movie or a work of fiction not having enough diversity, these words lose their meaning. You cry wolf enough times, guess what? People stop taking you seriously. It’s both sad and farcical that these significant words have entered the every day vernacular. You’re not responding to modern day events. You’re responding to history, and history doesn’t answer to you no matter how much you grit your teeth or stomp your feet.

I especially appreciated the satirical scenario Vox wrote in the middle of the book in which the SJW and the anti-SJW engage in a duel of honor, moderated by a fence sitter who kept giving the SJW extra shots because he couldn’t control the gun. Hilarious.

With all of this being said, I don’t share all of Vox’s convictions and don’t follow how he arrives at some of these conclusions, but even if I listed them, his detractors would only focus on the positives referenced above.

What I find noteworthy about this is the reliable SJW focus on attempting to deny resources to non-SJWs.  The ebook sells for $5.99. A reasonable share of that massive amount comes to me. Yet the SJW will actively seek to deny even the most trivial sum, literally a dollar or two, to anyone who questions the Narrative. And you think they won’t gun for your job if you neglect to abase yourself and mouth the current dogma on demand?

Is it any wonder that, once they harbor sufficient power, they inevitably start killing people? For all that they constantly scream about fairness and justice, they grant no mercy and they give no quarter.

And, of course, as the book observes, they always lie. The reviewer’s acquaintance most certainly did mind him reading it, but he wanted to strike a reasonable posture so as not to alienate the moderate. But we know perfectly well that SJWs very much mind people reading SJWAL, which is why they post fake reviews about it attempting to dissuade people from doing so.

We are in a cultural war. Do not grant them any ground, because if you give them an inch they will immediately try to take a mile. Do not grant them any consideration or mercy, because absolutely none will be given to you. There is no benefit, however petty, that they will not seek to deny you.

Sexism at ESPN

These coverage statistics are truly shameful, especially from ESPN, which loves to devote its commentary to the sexist and racist injustices of others:

Women’s sports have never been more popular — everywhere except on television, that is. Both the quality and quantity of women’s sports coverage is far eclipsed by that of men’s sports and in some respects has actually worsened over time, according to the latest iteration of a 25-year longitudinal study of gender in televised sports news and highlights shows. SportsCenter, ESPN’s flagship program, dedicated just 2 percent of its airtime to women’s sports in 2014, according to the report — a figure that has remained flat since 1999.

The only answer is for ESPN to devote 50 percent of its coverage and commentary to women’s sports. Anything less would be sexist and absolutely unacceptable. It’s 2017! How can ESPN possibly justify such massive inequality in its coverage?

Ratings are irrelevant. What is important is for ESPN to live up to its own, loudly-trumpeted social justice ideals. And until it does, its representatives should shut the hell up about any perceived social justice failures by the various sports leagues.

Amazon cracks down

Sam Harris‏ @SamHarrisOrg
Just learned that @Amazon deactivated my affiliates account, saying: “This decision is final and not subject to appeal.”

The larger concern, of course, is if Amazon will start denying its retail channel to authors and booksellers. On the other hand, it’s good to see that Amazon, unlike Wikipedia, doesn’t appear to be prone to playing favorites with its rule enforcement.

RIP Pepe

Pepe the Frog has been murdered by his creator:

The creator of Pepe the Frog has symbolically killed off the cartoon frog, effectively surrendering control of the character to the far right.

Matt Furie, an artist and children’s book author, created the now-infamous frog as part of his “Boy’s Club” series on MySpace in 2005. Pepe took on a life of its own online as a meme, before being eventually adopted as a symbol by the “alt-right” in the lead-up to last year’s US election.

In September, Hillary Clinton identified Pepe the Frog as a racist hate symbol, and Pepe was added to the Anti-Defamation League’s database of hate symbols.

Furie launched a campaign to “Save Pepe”, flooding the internet with “peaceful or nice” depictions of the character in a bid to shake its association with white supremacy and antisemitism.

But he now seems to have conceded defeat, killing the character off in a one-page strip for the independent publisher Fantagraphics’ Free Comic Book Day. It showed Pepe laid to rest in an open casket, being mourned by his fellow characters from Boy’s Club.

Furie had been attempting to wrench back his “peaceful frog-dude” – whom he has often said he imagined as an extension of his personality – for more than six months. Pepe’s passing has been interpreted of his ceding control of the character.

Yeah, so, about that….

I cannot believe he didn’t see that coming. The Left has even begun to admit, reluctantly, that all their memes are belong to us.

Angela Nagle, a writer and academic whose book on the culture of the alt-right will be published at the end of next month, told the Guardian Furie’s campaign to reclaim his creation, while understandable, had been misguided.

“I can see why he must be dismayed that his own creation is being used in this way, so I don’t blame him for trying. In general though, I think it’s a dead end, yes.”“Critics of the alt-right have a tendency to try to outdo them at their own game by ‘trolling the trolls’. This should be rejected in its entirety and not ‘reclaimed’ in any way … There are many wonderful ideals for us to reclaim like beauty, utopianism, internationalism. Let them have their tedious nihilistic juvenile symbols.”

Why SF/F is left-leaning

I have to admit, American Conservative did successfully draw my attention to their article on politics and nerd culture with this tweet:

AmericanConservative‏Verified account @amconmag
@voxday we may be cucks but here’s a piece you might find pretty interesting:

The piece struck me as about two decades out of date. Science fiction readers may have once skewed more to the right than fantasy readers, but in these latter, SJW-ridden days, they are just as heavily left-leaning, if not more so:

One explanation is that progressives tend to gravitate toward fantasy because of the similarities between the idealism found throughout much of the genre and the progressive notion of progress and the perfectibility of humanity. George R.R. Martin sums up the meaning of fantasy in this sense very nicely on his blog, noting that fantasy is “written in the language of dreams”:

Fantasy is silver and scarlet, indigo and azure, obsidian veined with gold and lapis lazuli. Reality is plywood and plastic, done up in mud brown and olive drab. Fantasy tastes of habaneros and honey, cinnamon and cloves, rare red meat and wines as sweet as summer. Reality is beans and tofu, and ashes at the end. Reality is the strip malls of Burbank, the smokestacks of Cleveland, a parking garage in Newark. Fantasy is the towers of Minas Tirith, the ancient stones of Gormenghast, the halls of Camelot. Fantasy flies on the wings of Icarus, reality on Southwest Airlines. Why do our dreams become so much smaller when they finally come true?

Fantasy gives us wonderful visions, ones that drew me into the genre as a kid, but alas, ones that do not necessarily reflect the realities of human nature. George R.R. Martin knows this perhaps better than any fantasy author, for his is a work on politics and power.

Another convincing explanation for the lack of conservatism in the genre is found on the popular fantasy and science-fiction website Tor.com, where Liz Bourke argues:

If epic fantasy is second-world fantasy that shapes its arc in the form of a grand mythic quest (or several), that plays with tropes such as the return or re-establishment (or sometimes the purification) of a monarch, then it’s, by nature, conservative in structure, and by habit conservative in the political institutions it portrays. But it’s not necessarily conservative in its attitudes towards power, relationships, and orientation towards divinity.

It is an interesting question, but neither of these explanations are convincing or correct. The reason SF/F skews heavily left is actually very easy to understand. First, it is inordinately consumed by fat women and gamma males, or to put it another way, social losers seeking escape from the reality that they find painful. Second, those fat women and gamma males have been in control of SF/F publishing for several decades, so the delta males who used to read and write SF/F have largely gravitated towards thrillers and mil-SF if they read and computer games if they don’t.
