Homeschool or divorce

This report doesn’t actually include homeschooling, but given the significantly better family outcomes that accompany Christian Protestant private schooling than either Roman Catholic private schooling or public schooling, it is quite safe to assume that homeschoolers are even more likely to end up in intact families, without experiencing either children out of wedlock or divorce:

Men and women who have been educated in a private school tend to be more likely to be married, less likely to have ever divorced, and less likely to have had a child outside of wedlock. Figure 1 displays the proportion of US adults from each school sector who are in intact marriages, have ever divorced, and have ever had a non-marital birth. All other figures in this report, like Figure 1, do not adjust for background demographic characteristics like race, ethnicity, parental education, age, and gender. Nonetheless, these patterns remain unchanged even when results are adjusted using a regression framework for demographic characteristics. Specifically,

  • Adults who attended Protestant schools are more than twice as likely to be in an intact marriage as those who attended public schools. They are also about 50{5274a41d3bd2aa3d5829764fe19e8a7ecbc79c108731aad5f1ff2d292e60e2b4} less likely than public-school attendees to have a child out of wedlock.
  • Among those who have ever married, Protestant-school attendees are about 60{5274a41d3bd2aa3d5829764fe19e8a7ecbc79c108731aad5f1ff2d292e60e2b4} less likely than public-school attendees to have ever divorced.
  • Compared with public-school attendees, ever-married adults who attended a secular private school are about 60{5274a41d3bd2aa3d5829764fe19e8a7ecbc79c108731aad5f1ff2d292e60e2b4} less likely to have ever divorced.
  • Catholic-school attendees are about 30{5274a41d3bd2aa3d5829764fe19e8a7ecbc79c108731aad5f1ff2d292e60e2b4} less likely to have had a child out of wedlock than those who attended public schools.

The results detailed in this report suggest that boys and girls who attend private schools are more likely to avoid a nonmarital birth and to get and stay married. This pattern is especially pronounced among Protestant-school attendees, which suggests that these schools are more likely to foster a kind of “Protestant Family Ethic” among their students. This is an ethic that seems especially conducive to strong and stable families.

Of particular note is the complete failure of “missionary schooling” otherwise known as “sending your kids to public school to be a light unto the benighted godless masses”. That was always a transparently absurd excuse, as children are in the public schools to be indoctrinated, not to indoctrinate. But now there are statistics demonstrating how stupid that feeble rationalization always was.

A Deeper Delve

The Forge of Tolkien episode 9, A DEEPER DELVE, is now available on Unauthorized.

Are you the kind of Tolkien fan who reads the Appendices in The Lord of the Rings and is still hungry for more? What if you had Appendices for Tolkien’s life? In this episode, Professor Rachel Fulton Brown takes a tour through Christina Scull & Wayne G. Hammond’s 3-volume J.R.R. Tolkien Companion and Guide (2017), delving deep into the Chronology, the Genealogies, Bibliographies, and Guide. What is the difference between trivia and knowledge? How does knowing what Tolkien did on 7 September 1955 help us understand his creative work? And what does “Ae Adar Nín” mean in Sindarin?

The insidious Mark

CDAN exposes a new marketing strategy for the Prometheans pushing posthuman technology:

This very controversial makeup influencer is probably the only one you will know for this blind. There are several others throughout the world that are also in on the deal, but you would be hard pressed to guess them. The controversial one and the others have signed deals, that when executed could potentially pay them many millions of dollars. The deal is being made by a company based in Sweden that wants to expand their chip implants throughout the world. They are going to pay influencers around the world not only a flat rate, but also bonuses for every thousand people that get implants. They know that young people will be most accepting of the message which is why they have targeted influencers who have shown they can get people to buy and do what they are asked. It is the end of the world.

I can’t imagine it’s very difficult to get attention whores to take the ticket.

Spielberg’s religious fraud

The predatory evil of Steven Spielberg is beginning to become more obvious every year. But while his pedophistry has been largely hidden, his incessant Holocaustian propaganda doesn’t survive even the most cursory of examinations, let alone a reading of the fine print:

We note with considerable dismay the dissimulation employed to assert (as Steven Spielberg’s movie Schindler’s List does) that, “The Talmud teaches that to save one life is to save the entire world.”

This preposterous humanitarian gloss applied to the rabidly ethnocentric Talmud, was given credibility, both as dialogue in Spielberg’s movie and as the film’s motto, reproduced on countless posters that probably adorn school rooms to this day. The motto, dramatized in the film, is a purported to be a quote from BT Sanhedrin 37a, but the Talmud contains no such humanistic, universalist statement.

The uncensored Babylonian Talmud in Sanhedrin 37a is concerned only with the welfare of fully human beings, i.e. those described in its text as “Jews.” The actual Talmud tractate reads: “Whoever saves a single life in Israel, Scripture regards him as if he had saved the entire world”

This reflects the ruling of Maimonides in his Mishneh Torah, Sefer Nezikin, Rotzeach u’Shmirat Nefesh, 1:1: “Whenever a person kills the soul of another person from Israel, he transgresses a negative commandment, as it says, “thou shalt not murder.” With his narrow definition of who should not be killed, Maimonides nullified the Word of God in Genesis 9:6, Exodus 20:13 and Deuteronomy 5:17.

Mr. Spielberg’s fraud was peddled throughout American culture and educational institutions. What is instructive about this faking is the extent to which the corporate media have been sublimely complicit in circulating it, while their “fact-checking” departments failed to detect the cheat, if indeed they bothered to undertake the obligation to do so.

To be fair, it is textually possible that a literal English reading of this tractate also means that saving a single Palestinian life is saving the entire world. But I tend to doubt that is the accepted interpretation or that there will be any change of opinion concerning the morality of the BDS movement.

As for Spielberg, it appears he will soon be learning how little it profits a man to gain the Hellmouth by selling his soul.

The new family-friendly BLM

BLM is trying to quietly sweep their Marxism and anti-family ideology out of view of the public:

Social media users noticed Monday the controversial Black Lives Matter organization — the radical business behind the “social justice” movement — deleted its oft-cited “what we believe” page.

In the since-removed section of the website, Black Lives Matter said its mission is to “disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure,” to “dismantle the patriarchal practice that requires mothers to work ‘double shifts’ so that they can mother in private even as they participate in public justice work,” as well as “foster a queer-affirming network” by “freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual.”

Now the website states: “Sorry, but the page you were trying to view does not exist.”

They still believe it, of course. They just don’t want you to KNOW that they believe it.

No government contracts for SJWs

The God-Emperor is hitting the diversicrats where it hurts:

A few weeks ago, I BANNED efforts to indoctrinate government employees with divisive and harmful sex and race-based ideologies. Today, I’ve expanded that ban to people and companies that do business with our Country, the United States Military, Government Contractors, and Grantees. Americans should be taught to take PRIDE in our Great Country, and if you don’t, there’s nothing in it for you!

Best U.S. President since Andrew Jackson. Hands down. Trumpslide 2020

God loves Big Sexy

For He has made his enemies ridiculous:

The Katie Nolan vs. Jason Whitlock Thunderdome took a wild twist Monday night when Talcum X took time out of his busy schedule to chime in on the Twitter rager that has blue checkmarks up in arms. “Disgusting that this outlet is bragging about a black woman having to lock her account from online harassment,” Talcum, aka Shaun King tweeted before someone let him in on Katie being white. Really, really white.

In fairness, Shaun King has yet to realize that he isn’t black, so it is understandable that his ability to distinguish black people from white people might not be highly developed.

America’s race wars have officially gone meta when a white man who thinks he’s black attacks a black man for criticizing a white woman the white man thinks is black. All that we’re missing is the white man who thinks he’s black thinking the black man is white and attempting to play the race card on him.

A message from YouTube

The friendly folks at YouTube Trust & Safety sent me a cheerful little message:

Hi Darkstream,

Our team has reviewed your content, and, unfortunately, we think it violates our hate speech policy. We’ve removed the following content from YouTube:

Video: Darkstream 607: The decline of the US empire

Warning

We know that this might be disappointing, but it’s important to us that YouTube is a safe place for all. If content breaks our rules, we remove it. If you think we’ve made a mistake, you can appeal and we’ll take another look. Keep reading for more details.

How your content violated the policy

Content glorifying or inciting violence against another person or group of people is not allowed on YouTube. We also don’t allow any content that encourages hatred of another person or group of people based on their membership in a protected group. We review educational, documentary, artistic, and scientific content on a case-by-case basis. Limited exceptions are made for content with sufficient and appropriate context and where the purpose of posting is clear.

How this affects your channel

Because it’s the first time, this is just a warning. If it happens again, your channel will get a strike and you won’t be able to do things like upload, post, or live stream for 1 week.

What’s interesting about this is that the video was only available to silver and gold channel members. Which means that it wasn’t the usual SJWs, but rather, some gamma who paid to join the channel, then rooted around in more than 30 videos to try to find something that would trigger Trust & Safety.

So henceforth, all prerecorded Darkstreams will only be available on Unauthorized. Live Darkstreams will be recorded on YouTube, then removed.

UPDATE: Meanwhile, YouTube has absolutely no problem featuring videos made by actual pedophiles in police custody.

7 families, 7 books

The seven families have been selected and notified about the seven donated Castalia Library subscriptions they will be receiving. Each family will receive seven Library editions, the six books included in the annual subscription plus the seventh book to complete the Plutarch pair.

33 homeschooled children and 14 parents will be the beneficiaries of these beautiful donations.

My sincere thanks to the seven incredibly generous donors. You have planted acorns, and though you may never see the trees, you will know that it is thanks to you that they grow. Well done and thank you!

Call their bluff

Facebook threatens to pull out of Europe if it isn’t permit to continue ignoring European data protection and privacy laws:

Facebook has threatened to pack up its toys and go home if European regulators don’t back down and let the social network get its own way.

In a court filing in Dublin, Facebook said that a decision by Ireland’s Data Protection Commission (DPC) would force the company to pull up stakes and leave the 410 million people who use Facebook and photo-sharing service Instagram in the lurch.

If the decision is upheld, “it is not clear to [Facebook] how, in those circumstances, it could continue to provide the Facebook and Instagram services in the EU,” Yvonne Cunnane, who is Facebook Ireland’s head of data protection and associate general counsel, wrote in a sworn affidavit.

The decision Facebook’s referring to is a preliminary order handed down last month to stop the transfer of data about European customers to servers in the U.S., over concerns about U.S. government surveillance of the data.

I’m not exactly what you would call a fan of the European Union, but I would love to see the following sequence:

  1. Call their bluff.
  2. Watch them back down.
  3. Prosecute them for their past violations of GDPR.
  4. Prosecute them for their ongoing violations of GDPR.
Someone has to rein in the lawless Tech Cartel, and to date, neither the Trump administration nor anyone outside the Chinese government has demonstrated the courage required to do so.
