Tillerson for Secretary of State

Chuck Johnson and company score a reporting coup:

ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson is set to be nominated for the position of Secretary of State on Tuesday, according to a source close to the highest levels of President-elect Donald J. Trump’s transition team. The source tells GotNews that Trump-hating failed presidential candidate Mitt Romney is “not going to get it,” while Tillerson’s chances of being nominated are “100%.”

The public announcement of Tillerson’s nomination will come Tuesday, according to the source.

Tillerson is the chairman and president of ExxonMobil and has been CEO for nearly 11 years. He worked his way up to the top post since joining the company in 1975 as an engineer.

ExxonMobil is a multinational oil and gas corporation and one of the largest and most profitable companies in the world.

Tillerson was called the “worst Secretary of State contender” by The Washington Post for his and his company’s ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

I have no idea if it’s true or not, and I know literally nothing about Tillerson, but if the Jeff Bezos blog hates him, he can’t be all bad.

One leftist complains: “If Tillerson pick is accurate, Trump’s path is now clear. Corporate statism combined with aggressive white Christian supremacy.”

Sounds pretty good to me, so long as the corporate statism is corporate nationalism.

This book sets up a false binary from the start and then goes to prove its case on these terms. It is for the simple minded.

How fortunate that there are so many simple-minded people who troubled to read it.

I also have some other book-related news. As you know, the 500-page early edition of A SEA OF SKULLS will be out soon, most likely next week. There will be two ways to acquire it:

  1. Buy it for $7.99 at the Castalia store. We will send out the 900-page final edition when it is completed in the late spring, which is when the paperback and hardcover editions will also be released. There will be no print editions of the early edition.
  2. Buy it for $5.99 at Amazon, then update in the spring.

We expect most people to prefer Amazon and we will absolutely be willing to send out updates to everyone who buys from Amazon and send us a copy of a purchase invoice dated December 2016, but we are aware that there are people who are liable to fall through the cracks that way.

Take this with a grain of salt, of course, given that an author finishing a novel is among the least trustworthy of judges, but the initial internal reviews of ASOS have been positive. I was determined to avoid both the sophomore slump and middle-book syndrome, as well as GRRM’s patented perspective-character metastasization, and it would appear that I have been successful in doing so. ASOS is a harsher book than ATOB, but then, that is because it provides a glimpse into some harsher cultures than that of Amorr.

Let’s just be friends

Rudy Giuliani will not serve in the God-Emperor Ascendant’s administration. And that’s probably just as well:

Rudolph Giuliani, the former New York mayor, will not serve  in a Trump White House, it was announced Friday afternoon. Sources told NBC and CNN that Donald Trump told the former New York City mayor he wasn’t getting the job. Trump said in a statement Friday afternoon that Giuliani told him on November 29 that he no longer wanted to be considered.

The Trump statement said: ‘President-elect Donald J. Trump today announced that during a meeting with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani held on November 29, 2016, Mayor Giuliani removed his name from consideration for a position in the new administration.’

Giuliani surfaced shortly after the statement was published to tell Fox News he wanted to serve in the cabinet ‘but not that much’. ‘I went through the entire vetting process,’ he said. ‘None of them [his business dealings] would amount to even a conflict of interest.’

Asked if he was bitter he said: ‘Not at all. I’m a very happy man. Donald – sorry President-elect Trump – remains one of my closest friends. I’ll go to the Army Navy game with him tomorrow.’

It increasingly looks like it will be Dana Rohrabacher for Secretary of State, which would be vastly preferable to the selection of the neocon favorite, the oft-mentioned, never-selected John Bolton. But I’m not terribly concerned about it either way. One thing we can be sure of is that the God-Emperor Ascendant will not hesitate to remove any Cabinet member who insists on playing his own game rather than following orders.

The media has been aghast at the number of former military men in the Trump administration, but I don’t see how that is even remotely surprising. Say what you will about US generals, but even the most well-scented perfumed princes are adept at effectively following orders.

Homeschool or else

When they ask children who are abused why they didn’t tell anyone, this sort of thing is probably why. Who are they supposed to trust?

When a school police officer learned that a teacher was raping a 14-year-old sophomore, he did it too, the girl says in a civil lawsuit, and now the teacher is in prison and the cop is awaiting trial. In a federal lawsuit against the Edgewood Independent School District and Memorial High School, Jane Doe says both district employees used “hall passes” to pull her from class to sexually assault and sodomize her on school grounds.

Her chemistry teacher, Marcus Revilla, who impregnated her, pleaded guilty to sex crimes in state and federal courts, including sexual assault of a child and production of child pornography. He was sentenced to 13 years in state prison and a 17-year federal prison term.

Revilla filmed his sexual exploitation of the girl, and sexually assaulted and/or sodomized her “on at least 100 separate and distinct occasions,” according to her Dec. 5 lawsuit.

Former Edgewood ISD police Officer Manuel Hernandez is awaiting trial in Bexar County Court on charges of aggravated sexual assault.

She sued him too, and the school district’s police department.

Now, Mr. Hernandez deserves his fair trial, but the fact that the teacher she accused has already been convicted tends to lend credence to her account of events. Also, there is the fact that Hispanics are disproportionately inclined towards committing sex crimes to bolster her story.

You can talk the “my kids go to a great school” talk all you like, but the fact is that predators always go where the prey is, and the statistics clearly indicate that every school, public or private, is concealing one or more sexual predators among its employees.

Complete failure

Even the mainstream media is finally giving up on Saint Obama:

There’s no other way to describe it. Every December, Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post picks the biggest political loser of the past year. In 2013, Cillizza’s selection was Barack Obama. He cited the botched rollout of Healthcare.gov, the NSA domestic-surveillance scandal, the IRS’s targeting of tea-party groups, and the continuing questions about the administration’s actions before, during, and after the attack on Americans in Benghazi.

In 2014, Cillizza’s selection was Obama, again. The midterm elections went abysmally for Democrats, the threat of ISIS became much clearer, Russia moved into Ukraine, and former CIA director and secretary of defense Leon Panetta painted an unflattering portrait of the president’s leadership in his memoirs.

In 2015, Cillizza picked two co-“winners,” Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton. The reasons were obvious. By December 2015, it was clear Bush’s odds of winning the nomination were small and shrinking quickly. Clinton, meanwhile, looked likely to emerge bloodied from the Democratic primaries after a tougher-than-expected fight with Bernie Sanders.

This year, Cillizza assessed the surprising post-election political landscape and selected “The Democrats”:

The Democrats may be effectively locked out of power in all three branches of government for years. At the state level, after last month’s elections, they’ll control only 16 governorships and 13 legislatures. This year, punctuated by Hillary Clinton’s loss, exposed the remarkably shallow depth of the Democratic bench. The size of the Republican primary field — for which the GOP was relentlessly mocked — was also a sign of the party’s health up and down the ballot. Democrats simply didn’t have the political talent to put forward 17 candidates (or even seven). That’s partly because there’s been limited opportunity to move up in the leadership ranks. Pelosi (Calif.) and Reps. Steny H. Hoyer (Md.) and James E. Clyburn (S.C) have had a death grip on the party’s top congressional slots for a very long time. It’s also partly because the Democratic farm system is hurting. 

Lined up one after another, Cillizza’s picks create a broader narrative: President Obama’s second term has been a terrible failure for the country.

It’s actually hard to say which has been worse, Obama’s domestic policy or his foreign policy.

When the villains are white

I think Castalia House is going to have to create a team of diverse superheroes who pursue various white villains… and fail every time because they are diverse minorities who do the diverse things that minorities do.

This is the new Spiderman Homecoming team. You can just imagine how many ways things would go wrong with a pretty Halfrican girl who is an NBA groupie, a whip-smart Hispanic girl who always has to be right and argues about everything when she’s not busy getting beat up by her gangster boyfriend, the gay Indian H1B who doesn’t actually know how to use the computer technology in which he is supposedly an expert, and the fat Asian who keeps losing track of time in the middle of his Hearthstone matches and regularly collapses after 36-hour gaming binges.

And then, of course, there is the half-Jewish Spiderman, who agonizes over every decision, wondering whether it is good for Israel or not, is insecure about his sexual orientation, and is in love with both the Hispanic and the Halfrican to no avail.

Meanwhile, the white villains are running rings around them as they work towards enriching themselves, the Ascendance of their God-Emperor and the total destruction of the United Nations. I would read THAT comic book.

Dutch court convicts Geert Wilders

“You will not succeed in silencing me and defeating the PVV. Support for the party of freedom is stronger than ever and is growing every day. The Dutch want their country back!”

I suspect those eurofascists are going to be sincerely regretting their reprehensible and anti-democartic once the Dutch people put the PVV in power and Wilders becomes the Prime Minister. Never forget, if they can ban our speech, we can ban their speech. And if they do ban our speech, it is incumbent upon us to return the favor, with interest.

Feminism is hate speech.

Diversity is hate speech.
Equality is hate speech.

The Wilders conviction was quite literally a show trial. Every newspaper and government agency in the USA could be convicted of “insulting a group and inciting discrimination”.

Dutch anti-Islam political leader Geert Wilders has been convicted of insulting a group and inciting discrimination. But no penalty was imposed by the court near Amsterdam on Wilders, whose party is leading in polls ahead of parliamentary elections in March. Wilders was also acquitted of inciting hate over telling supporters in March 2014 he would ensure there were fewer Moroccans in the Netherlands.

A society in decline

Declining life expectancy is the expected result of a society that has peaked and is on the way down:

One of the fundamental ways scientists measure the well-being of a nation is tracking the rate at which its citizens die and how long they can be expected to live.

So the news out of the federal government Thursday is disturbing: The overall U.S. death rate has increased for the first time in a decade, according to an analysis of the latest data. And that led to a drop in overall life expectancy for the first time since 1993, particularly among people younger than 65.

“This is a big deal,” says Philip Morgan, a demographer at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill who was not involved in the new analysis.

“There’s not a better indicator of well-being than life expectancy,” he says. “The fact that it’s leveling off in the U.S. is a striking finding.”

One can’t say it is surprising. The same thing happened in Russia under Yeltsin, when the country was being strip-mined by the oligarchs in the wake of the collapse of the Soviet Union. Russia has found its confidence again in its return to Christianity and nationalism, and both its birth rates and life expectancies are on the rise again.

If Americans are fortunate, the God-Emperor Ascendant will be half as good for his people as Putin has been for the Russians. The more foreigners are driven out, the more the secularists and atheists and pagans are forced to accept their second-rate status, the more America will be made great again.

Equalitarianism is neither just nor healthy, and diversity is no more a strength than war is peace or black is white. If it was, the diversity advocates wouldn’t have to repeat it like a retarded mantra in defiance of all history and science.

The great irony is that allowing minorities equal status in a society is not only bad for the majority, it is almost always bad for the minorities themselves. After all, if they were even remotely capable of constructing a society in which they wanted to live in the first place, they would be the majority.

The end of progressive Christianity

This is an insightful piece by an intelligent observer of the battle between historic and progressive Christianity, and I think his conclusion is essentially correct:

The historic Christians believe their religion is revealed by God in the person of his Son Jesus Christ, and that the Scriptures are the primary witness of that revelation. They believe the church is the embodiment of the risen Lord Jesus in the world and that his mission to seek and to save that which is lost is still valid and vital. Historic Christians believe in the supernatural life of the Church and expect God to be at work in the world and in their lives.

Progressive Christians believe their religion is a historical accident of circumstances and people, that Jesus Christ is, at best, a divinely inspired teacher, that the Scriptures are flawed human documents influenced by paganism and that the church is a body of spiritually minded people who wish to bring peace and justice to all and make the world a better place.

I realize that I paint with broad strokes, but the essential divide is recognizable, and believers on both sides should admit that “historic” and “progressive” Christians exist within all denominations. The real divide in Christianity is no longer Protestant and Catholic, but progressive and historic.

When I say “divide” I should say “battle” because both sides are locked in an interminable and unresolvable battle. Interminable because neither side will yield and unresolvable because the divisions extend the theological and philosophical roots of both aspects.

However, it is true that if you look at the dynamic of progressive Christianity, you will see that by the end of this century it will have either died out or ceased to be Christianity.

At this time, modernism still wears Christian clothes in the mainstream Protestant churches and in parts of the Catholic Church.

This cannot last much longer for 11 very simple reasons:

The most powerful reason, of course, is that progressive Christians do not actually believe in the supernatural, which means that in the most basic sense, they cannot reasonably be described as Christians at all.

Michael Sebastian makes much the same point, in rather less elevated language, on Return of Kings:

This message that God promises people a wonderful life has had a deep impact on the lives of many modern Christians. It is a message that fits perfectly with our hedonistic culture that puts pleasure above duty. Christian couples forego having children so they can travel or drive luxury cars. Lukewarm Christian women divorce perfectly good husbands in pursuit of the Prince Charming they think they deserve. Bishops and pastors preach only those parts of the gospel that make them popular with the secular culture.

Modern Christianity is also compromised in other ways. Rather than standing against the culture, Christian churches have tried to accommodate as much of the culture as possible. Some denominations have embraced Christian feminism, push for left wing social causes such as open borders, and bless gay marriages. For that reason, if you want to learn what real Christianity is, you will have to ignore recent teaching in favor of the past.  A good rule of thumb is to simply avoid reading Christian material written after 1900. Listen to your Sunday Sermon but take it with a grain of salt.

Repent. Return to the fundamentals of the faith. Read the Word. Preach the Gospel. Go forth and multiply. And ignore all who tell you to follow the world on its broad and easy path to Hell.
