Avoid Like the Plague

The Dark Herald reviews Season One of THE RINGS OF POWER.

Avoid Like the Plague is my lowest rating, I’ve only given it two other times, and it takes a lot to get it. A production really has to work for it before I’m willing to put my ultimate seal of disapproval on it. I mean you got to dig deep and put your back to the wheel before I stamp that label on something. A show must do everything it can to earn it.

And this one did just that.

Throughout ten hours of runtime this travesty never let up in its determination to win my abject hatred for every aspect of its very existence.

It consistently fails on so many levels that you can’t help but be fascinated by its relentless incompetence.

This show is absolutely, and in all ways, the exact opposite of what J.R.R. Tolkien achieved with his life’s work.

There have been other attempts to subvert Tolkien. Writers who at the core of their work were trying to write an editorial reply that would somehow disprove Truth to be found in the works of men like J.R.R. Tolkien.

George RR Martin set out to invert the tropes that were established in the Lord of Rings, and it ended in the most hilarious series of failures of all time. At this point Martin is undoubtedly hoping he can run out the clock before he has to display the completeness of his artistic bankruptcy.

A better example is His Dark Materials. Phillip Pullman set out to create an atheist Chronicles of Narnia. The Golden Compass has been frequently remade in films and TV. It ends in debacle every time. Read John C. Wright’s review if you want a complete evisceration by a writer who leaves me in the dust.

But none of them come close to equaling the magnitude of the disaster that is, Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. These attempts to present the Lie as the Truth always fail like this.

Convergence always destroys an organization’s ability to perform its primary function. And while many an organization has been converged, Amazon Studios was born in convergence. It was never going to be capable of providing entertainment, or of transforming any literature into the video medium in a way that would appeal to the book’s fans.

Excellence + Time = Greatness

The NFL may, or may not, be irretrievably gay and converged, but the greatness of Bill Belichik cannot be denied:

The Patriots defeated the Browns 38-15 on Sunday, with New England having little trouble against the the team that Bill Belichick led as head coach from 1991-1995.

In many ways, that makes the milestone Belichick reached with the win that much more poetic. With his 324th victory — regular and postseason — Belichick tied George Halas at No. 2 for most wins all time by a head coach.

Belichick recorded 37 of his victories with Cleveland, the first of which coincidentally came over New England in 1991. The other 317 have come with New England since 2000.

Don Shula is No. 1 on the all-time list with 347.

I don’t think there is any question that he is the greatest football coach in history. And those seeking excellence in their own fields can learn a lot from the man and his singular focus on excelling in his chosen profession.

Vaxx = Cervical Malignancies

Dr. Kimberly Biss is an obstetrician-gynecologist in Saint Petersburg, Florida and is affiliated with Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. She received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. She’s now gone on the record about what she’s observing in her practice post-vaxx:

I’m Kimberly Biss. I’m an OBGYN that practices in St. Pete’s, Florida. I can definitely say since the vaccine rollout started we have seen in our practice a decrease in new OB numbers, which would be infertility, by about 50 percent. We’ve also seen an increase in miscarriage rate by about 50 percent. And I would say there’s probably about a 25 percent increase in abnormal pap smears as well as cervical malignancies in our area.

Don’t forget that the government-medical complex pushed the HPV vaccine for girls to reduce a much smaller risk of cervical malignancies than is apparently being produced by the Covid vaxxes.

On a not-unrelated note, 80 Canadian doctors are now reported to be dead of “suddenly” and the pace appears to be increasing. So there is at least some justice in the world, because Satan despises his servants.

The Next Step for China

Russia Today observes the importance of the CPC’s 20th National Congress:

The 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, the pinnacle event in the country’s political life and held only every five years, kicks off in Beijing on October 16. Experts will be tuning in to pick up any signals related not only to the political standing and prospects of China’s leader Xi Jinping, who is likely to run for a third term, but also to the way the country is planning to build its relations with the US and Russia in the future.

Western speculation believes that the event could signify a triumph for Xi as he will most likely remain at the helm of the party for a third term. Should that happen, it would go against the tradition which has formed in Chinese politics over the last 30 years. Up to now, the reins of power in the country were handed over to a new generation of leaders at the end of the second term.

Thus, such a move would herald a new era in the history of modern China.

Starting from 2018, it has become increasingly clear that Xi is going to defy this tradition. That year, amendments were made to the Chinese Constitution lifting the two-term limit on the presidency. However, according to Aleksandr Lomanov, the Deputy Director for Scientific Work at the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO RAS), the extension of Xi’s rule for another term is not indicative of the general direction of Chinese politics in the next five year.

“For the world at large, the important thing is not whether Xi Jinping is going to stay for another term. Most of the world’s countries don’t really care who is in charge in China. What is important is the kind of policies China is going to pursue in the future, and how stable the country is going to be,” Lomanov explained.

Also, the congress is expected to review the party’s work and achievements over the last five years as well as to announce the new composition of its ‘board of directors’ – the Political Bureau (Politburo) Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee, composed of the party’s top officials who make all the important decisions in the country. Today, it’s made up of seven members (historically, this number has ranged from five to nine).

It is believed that at least three of the party members currently serving on the Standing Committee will resign for various reasons, including China’s second most important man – Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang. He is required by law to step down as premier in 2023, since the term limit was only removed for the president.

Meanwhile, the Global Times explains that the core strength of the CPC is its direct connection to the nation, which stands in complete contrast to Western political parties, which are led by immigrant elites whose interests are distinct from, and often hostile to, the interests of the nations over whom they rule.

The CPC succeeded where the Communist Party of the USSR failed due to its focus on the Chinese nation rather than international revolution. The CPC succeeded where the Democratic-Republicans of the United States of America failed due to its focus on the Chinese nation rather than international immigration.

“Stability” is the most prominent feature and advantage of China’s politics and development, and it is also the fundamental manifestation of political maturity. Stability leads to long-term development, and this is especially the case for major countries. The key to China’s long-term stable development is the strong leadership of the CPC. This is not a secret, and should be one of the most important research topics in contemporary political science. The CPC cannot be simply explained and understood through the concept of “party” in Western political science. There are more than 96 million CPC members. This figure is more than the population of most countries in the world. More than 4.9 million grassroots Party organizations can be found in all fields of society. The CPC is deeply rooted in China and the Chinese people, and thus has uplifting power in the pursuit of excellence.

The CPC comes from the people, is for the people and relies on the people. All of the steps it strives to take are dedicated to working for the wellbeing of the Chinese people and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. This original mission is manifested through specific policies and measures, as well as the practice of every Party member, and has been proven by the great practice of the CPC. Ties between the CPC and the Chinese people are like ties between flesh and blood – they are inseparable. This is fundamentally different in nature from the relatively loose political parties in Western countries, which are more like interest groups formed around elections.

In today’s fast-changing international situation, the significance of the CPC as the backbone of the Chinese people is even more prominent. Since the establishment of the CPC, the Chinese nation has not needed to wander through the dangerous jungle of modern civilization.

The superiority of the Chinese political system can be summarized in the two sentences highlighted above. In 1835, Andrew Reed and James Matheson wrote that “America will be great if America is good. If not, her greatness will vanish away like a morning cloud.” But they were wrong. The United States is no longer great because the United States is no longer American.

China is great because the CPC is Chinese. And China will continue to be great so long as the CPC remains of the Chinese people, for the Chinese people, and dedicated to the wellbeing of the Chinese people and the Chinese nation.

History repeatedly demonstrates that a nation will inevitably decline once it accepts immigration, adulteration, and rule by women and foreigners. And no amount of wokery, diversity, and equalitarian rhetoric will avert the verdict of history.

Which is why the seeds of China’s eventual decline may have been planted in Xi’s speech to the Congress.

From this day forward, the central task of the CPC will be to lead the Chinese people of all ethnic groups…

And so it begins.

You Were Right

I have enough confidence in the vaccine, based on my research, to get it done. Those of you who think the vaccine kills people can use me as a test. If I die, you were right. If I don’t die, and have no ill effects, you were wrong, and should admit it (at least to yourselves). Better yet, you should admit that you were misled, and tell the world who misled you, so other people can benefit by avoiding those fearmongers.

Doug Brignole, 4 April 2021

Okay, that seems fair enough. Let the test begin!

Bodybuilding Icon Doug Brignole Passes Away At 63

Veteran bodybuilder Doug Brignole has passed away at 63 years of age. One of the most renowned bodybuilders competing in the AAU and NABBA, Brignole’s career spanned over four decades. It was marked with several huge accomplishments. While different theories about the cause of his passing are circulating in social media, the actual reason is yet unknown.

Fitness Volt, 14 October 2022

I suppose we can’t really expect him to tell the world who misled him, since he’s dead. And it’s probably too late for other people to benefit by avoiding those global depopulationists.

Boosted and Triggered

Boomers respond to Friday’s Hypergamouse.

  • Sorry to burst your bubble, but, these boomers refused to get vaccinated even when our companies threatened to fire us, even when our doctor threatened to not see us anymore, even when we were told we couldn’t enter stores or travel…. We still refused…. but one of our adult sons went out and got vaccinated even though we begged him not to… In fact, most of our Boomer friends refused to get vaccinated, but all of their kids and grandkids went out and got “Fully Boosted”
  • stop generalizing…I see tons of young idiots still wearing masks…
  • you are a idiot, most so called boomers i know did not take it so stfu little boy.
  • Jewish tactics to divide us. My boomer sisters and their kids had the same attitude on the vax.
  • you’re such a whiney little punk.
  • You sound like the left with White men. Your criticism of boomers highlights your own failures. May I recommend a crying room?
  • We are normal and most of you have been fucked over by the CIA and fed poison to reduce your T levels. It is painfully obvious to outsiders. Theodore’s blog is an echo chamber, however. And all of his little calamities rush to his rescue to gain his approval. I would be embarrassed to complain about my parents the way you little pussies do. BTW, Boomers didn’t have mudsharking, crying rooms, heteroflexibility or any of the pathologies younger generations have exhibited in large numbers. My father would have kicked me out of the house on my ass if i snivelled as Theodores boys all do. Maybe your parents decided all of you were hopeless failures and decided there was no point to leaving you a legacy. You homos need to man up and quit crying about daddy not buying you a BMW for your birthday. That’s essentially the sum total of your criticisms. None of you have ever done a hard day’s manual labor in your lives. You blame boomers to deflect your own culpability. Theodore uses you to feel popular and powerful. I’m trying to show how men think, which none of you are. If you don’t man up, the coons will eat your lunch when goings go South. They already fuck your women.

It’s always amusing how so many Boomers simply cannot help a) identifying with their g-g-generation and b) defending the actions of their g-g-generation while c) explaining that they are special and different every time anyone criticizes their collective actions.

It also demonstrates that Boomers don’t understand statistics. According to the CDC, as of 10 October 2022, 95 percent of the 65+ age group is vaccinated, the highest percentage of any age group. Furthermore, Boomers also had the smallest drop-off from one dose to a complete series as 92.8 percent of all 65+ US citizens have been vaccinated and boosted.

The younger generations obviously see things very differently.

  • This hits the nail on the head. Boomers were/are so selfish. The best of everything for themselves, never a bit of effort for anyone else, even their own families. They had career jobs where they literally just showed up with a resume and a handshake, first class pension plans, 8 hour work days, first class health and dental plans, 4 weeks vacation and paid days off… and they still had minimal involvement with their children and almost no helping with the grandkids. They shut off the career jobs, the pensions and health plans, the vacations, as soon as the last boomer got in. They laugh about spending money that could have been used to help their grandkids live in a good school district, but they need the second cruise every year and the vacation condo.
  • This cuts very close to home for me. I imagine once the old bastard dies, the assets will be on the negative side as he’s led a pampered lifestyle and given very little to help others.
  • It’s sad that the vax was urged on kids to protect their grandparents, even though it now turns out there’s no evidence being vaxed protects from passing the virus on. Now our governor has just ordered all kids in California to be vaccinated, even tho there’s no evidence kids are harmed by catching COVID-19.
  • The graph you posted a couple weeks ago from Pew, showing that Gen X parents spend a lot more time with their kids than Boomer parents, very informative. If I’m perceiving this correctly, Gen X’s strategy was more to drop out of the Boomer’s world and being the best parents possible, while my generation, Millennials, is more about directly confronting and destroying the Boomer World Order. And I’m just fine with that arrangement!
  • Boomers really can’t help themselves. One little suggestion that their generation isn’t perfect and they flock in to tell you how great they are. The boomers were the whiniest generation, then proceeded to raise their children terribly. Almost all the issues with millennials can be laid at the feet of the boomers. We do hate you. You all abandoned us for sex and hedonism, tanked our economy, destroyed the moral foundation and abandoned Christ.
  • Captures the attitude of some boomers perfectly.
  • Too funny. NO matter how many times it’s said, some Boomers just can’t bear to have the slightest criticism aimed at them, even if it doesn’t apply to them personally. And look at how some of them respond, childish insults and crass sexual innuendo. Like a bunch of perpetual children.
  • What kills me is the look of resignation on the face of this cartoon female mouse. The artist captured it well. I have to accept that some people just can’t be reached. This display of Boomer ignorance, narcissism, and selfishness isn’t just a cartoon. It’s frustratingly real. Imagine self-righteously demanding that we medically experiment on the young, in order to protect the old. That level of selfishness is nearly beyond belief.
