Mailvox: can’t you be nicer?

Robert imagines I would be more accessible if I only toned it down:

VD, I’ve read everyday for probably 18 months (and bought a couple of your non science fiction books). I agree with the overwhelming vast majority of what you have to say. I’m not thin skinned and I don’t mind confrontation. From school, to the business world to “around town” I’m considered well above average intelligence….

I still don’t always understand what you are trying to say 25% of the time. While my 38 years of life may prove me not in the fat part of the bell curve, here I most certainly think you would. Which is why when I read, and once every two to three days I think to myself “Vox sure can be an asshole. I don’t think that guy was trying to undermine or go gamma- just had an honest question because he didn’t understand” But I come back to read because you are also extremely insightful, even if I don’t also always understand.

Do you ever think you are turning away A LOT of potential allies because their IQ is 100, 110, 120, 125? The one time I took an IQ test back in high school mine was a little north of the latter. Maybe all those questions aren’t because they are trying to undermine what you are saying or making it about them with their gamma behavior. Sometimes us 100-125 folks just don’t get it. And yet I’m pretty sure if we are going to win, not lose, it’s going to take the 100-125 folks getting on board. I want to win. So in other words Vox, “I love your work. Please don’t always be such an asshole. Cause I want to win.”

I understand I said “I” about a hundred times in that, I’m a reader and not one who comments. Therefore you have no history with me and I no legitimacy with you- forgive my temporary trespass trying to build some cred to make a point.

This tends to remind me of the woman who argued that Ann Coulter would have so much more of an impact if she was just nicer. At the time, Ann had the bestselling nonfiction book in the country and was, as she is now, the most influential conservative political commentator in the world. It doesn’t actually apply as an analogy, since I’m not that successful, but you get the point.

Anyhow, while I’m willing to admit that I do occasionally misread questions that are asked in all innocence or ignorance, my read on a questioner is usually pretty good, having been honed by many years of receiving questions concerning my columns and blog posts. Spergs, trolls, and anklebiters have learned to try to conceal their intentions, and spergs, in particular, love to try to score imaginary points with pedantic, and usually incorrect, “corrections”. And frankly, I consider my response to that sort of thing to be restrained; I would favor capital punishment.

But I’m sure there are honest questions from the 0SD to 2SD crowd that simply don’t get something for one reason or another. It’s possible that I could try to slow things down in order to communicate better with them, or spell things out more, or stop skipping logical steps. I don’t see how that would make sense, however, as there are relatively few people doing what I’m doing. How many other people are introducing people to Fukuyama and Turchin and Taleb and tying their theories into something that can be coherently tied to today’s politics, just to provide one example? And I’m dubious that I have the personality or the patience to surmount the so-called communication gap that separates me from the 0SD to 2SD crowd. I’m not a teacher, after all, and this isn’t my job.

I’d prefer to see people do what the Men of the West have done. Take the ball and run with it. Rather than waiting for me to tone it down or dumb it down, why not write your own translations or impressions of what I’ve said and put it on a blog somewhere? Because, honestly, I don’t see things changing much. We are who we are, and if anything, I’m so busy these days that I am even less inclined to suffer questions and criticism that are less than substantive.

It is a good reminder, though, to think twice before dismissing someone as a troll, a sperg, or an anklebiter and treating them accordingly. Because not everyone who initially looks like one actually is.

Italy is next

Italy NEXT to reject establishment as protest vote set to WIN referendum. Italy is set to deal a hammer blow to its government as the latest polls revealed voters will punish Matteo Renzi’s administration in the upcoming referendum. The prime minister’s failure to reach out to working class suggest large regions will snub Mr Renzi’s plan for constitutional reform.

A Demos poll has revealed Mr Renzi’s reforms will be rejected by an 11 percentage point margin in the south of the country – where most of the poorest regions are located – compared with a seven-point margin across the country. As the nation prepares for a momentous referendum, which could spark an exit from the European Union, Mr Renzi said that he would have no interest in running the country if voters reject the proposed constitutional reform.

Now are you starting to understand why I favor direct democracy? A nation is harder to corrupt than its political elite.

I expect NO to win by more than 7 points. This is more than a referendum on the constitutional reforms, it is a virtual referendum on the UE. And the European Union has been very, very bad for Italy. As they say from Calabria to Genova:

I do not disavow

Roosh makes a strong statement about Richard Spencer:

Richard Spencer, head of the NPI Institute, was attacked by the media in the last week because attendees at his recent weekend conference did a Roman/Hitler salute. This caused a schism in the alt right, where more moderate voices condemned Spencer’s actions and splintered off into a “new right” or “alt light” group. Looking back on the episode with full hindsight, I believe it was a strategic mistake to side with the media and not assist Spencer, no matter how strongly you disagreed with his actions….

The proper response when the fake news tells you you’re a Nazi is to say “Fuck you.” The proper response to when they call you a racist is “So what?” The proper response when they call you a rapist is to say, “I certainly wouldn’t rape you.” The only way we can take away the power from these terms is to not immediately deny you are one. If a crazy old bag lady approaches you on the subway and loudly says you are a murderer, would you take the time to deny it? No, you would laugh and say, “Get out of my way, you crazy bitch.” This is how we must react when the media confronts us, because if you don’t have a fear of being called a Nazi, racist, or rapist, the power of the media establishment will quickly diminish.

That doesn’t mean that Spencer did not commit an unforced error. We have to agree that Spencer’s decision to let in the media and frame the conference any way they saw fit was a considerable mistake, but not one I will eternally hold against him. He is not an establishment talking head that has been “groomed” to be good with the media, and his first major interview was less than a month ago. I was a media newbie too. I got shellacked when I went on Dr. Oz and got embarrassed by the Daily Mail when they showed up to my parents house until I finally understood the game and humiliated the media myself in a press conference. I’m sure I will make a mistake in the future, since I am not a media professional who does interviews every month, and I hope my allies don’t disavow me because of it.

After Spencer’s gaffe, I’m seeing a lot of messages online that the alt right “brand” is done for, and that their movement is dead. Back in February, I said their movement has peaked, but I underestimated them, and those today saying the alt right is dead are also wrong. They will lick their wounds and get stronger, because they don’t need the media and they don’t need Trump. Their sales pitch of “America will be better with only white people” is too seductive for marginalized white men to resist, and in spite of their obsession with race, there is intellect and truth-telling underneath it. They have blind spots, but they have fewer blind spots than other movements, and for that reason I think they will have increasing cultural influence in the next five years for men who want an external fix to their problems instead of an internal one like I aim to provide. The Spencer debacle is a painful but necessary teaching moment for them.

Now that the schism has taken place, men like Mike Cernovich, Paul Joseph Watson, and Stefan Molyneux have a clear path to the top as part of their “new right” platform. There is no Nazi taint to hold them back. Within a couple years time, as long as their output is consistent, they will have a massive bullhorn to reach millions of conservatives. It will be fascinating to watch these men become the “new mainstream” as the old media order fades away.

Roosh knows better than anyone what it feels like to be under media assault. I have never seen anyone attacked so viciously in the media, and to make it worse, with so little cause. And he’s right to say that we should not disavow anyone under media pressure, because that is nothing more than their usual game of divide-and-conquer.

Anyhow, it is good to see that Roosh is a man of integrity. It has been fascinating to see him evolve from petty pick-up artist to an increasingly impressive philosopher.

That being said, I don’t believe there is a genuine schism, because the Alt-Lite has never been, and will never be, the Alt-Right proper. It is, rather, a large pool of newly awakened conservatives and liberals who are only beginning to shed the lies of the propaganda in which they have been steeped for their entire lives. Also, it is neither disavowing nor attacking someone to criticize a specific action they have taken. I’ve been criticized by my social media allies before, and while it wasn’t public, it was certainly every bit as direct as most of the criticism that has been directed at Spencer. The criticism was justified, I appreciated the criticism, and most importantly, I learned from it and adapted my behavior according to their advice.

Perhaps the most impressive thing about the Alt-Lite to Alt-White spectrum has been the ability of the various parties to bury the hatchet and avoid the virulent divisions that the media, and occasionally, some of the followers, would like to see. Everyone is excited about the ascension of the God-Emperor Trump, so it should not be surprising that a few of us managed to go a little overboard, after all, we have had far too political successes to celebrate for most of our lives. But the tide is turning, so it is time to learn how to discipline ourselves and be prepared for the larger-scale challenges to come.

The forces that have produced the Alt-Right are still at work across the West. They are growing stronger, the stresses on the unity of the international elites are growing, as are the explosive pressures on the popular unity of the various nation-states. What many find unnecessary, impossible, or even unthinkable, will come to be seen as the only possible route forward before long. And when they do, it will fall to those of us who have seen the patterns and trends evolve to do what we can to ensure that there are powerful voices of reason to be heard amidst the madness.

I expect Mike, Paul Joseph, and Stefan to continue to ascend to the top too, but not due to any avoidance of a nonexistent taint of a long-dead German political philosophy, but for the reason that is written on the bottom of this blog every day. The times are changing. The rules are changing. The game is changing.

2016 has been amazing. We’ve seen site traffic double. We’ve seen the God-Emperor ascending. We’ve seen the Alt-Right rise. We’ve witnessed the birth of Infogalactic and the Alt-Tech. Many of you have been a part of one or more of those things, but before we congratulate ourselves on them, let us not forget to be grateful to the Creator God who gave us the gifts of creativity and free will required to make those things happen.

Not a disavowal

Or at least, not the disavowal one might think. It turns out the God-Emperor Ascendant’s “disavowal of the Alt-Right” is considerably more limited than the media is portraying. How very surprising that the mainstream media’s precision in this regard should turn out to be, shall we say, just a little misleading:

UNKNOWN: Mr. President-elect, I wanted to ask you, there was a conference this past weekend in Washington of people who pledged their allegiance to Nazism.

TRUMP: Boy, you are really into this stuff, huh?

PRIEBUS: I think we answered that one right off the bat.

UNKNOWN: Are you going to condemn them?

TRUMP: Of course I did, of course I did.

PRIEBUS: He already did.

UNKNOWN: Are you going to do it right now?

TRUMP: Oh, I see, maybe you weren’t here. Sure. Would you like me to do it here? I’ll do it here. Of course I condemn. I disavow and condemn.

There you have it. Donald Trump condemns and disavows Nazis. I believe I can accurately speak for the vast majority of the global nationalist Right when I say: BFD. A defunct, defeated, and outdated German political program has literally nothing to do with everyone who doesn’t wear swastika panties.

The interesting question, of course, as Roger Stone points out, is: who is UNKNOWN?

Anyhow, if you’re Alt-Right, you don’t attend NPI conferences, and you haven’t “pledged allegiance to Nazism”, you need not concern yourself with it. The God-Emperor still loves you and America.

Free trade kills

As if the costs of free trade weren’t already high enough, some researchers have determined that free trade, specifically with China, is literally killing more white working-class Americans than guns and traffic combined.

Increasing competition with China for trade has been blamed for soaring death rates among white, middle aged Americans. A silent ‘epidemic’ of deaths from suicides, drug and alcohol poisoning within that faction was first highlighted last year. But scientists were baffled as to why white, middle aged Americans were bucking the national trend of decreasing death rates. Now two economists believe they have found the answer.

Justin Pierce and Peter Schott believe they can trace back the uptick in suicides, drug overdoses, and alcohol-related deaths to 2000, when President Bill Clinton decided to relax the rules on major imports.

Between 1978 and 1998, the study reveals the mortality rate for US whites aged 45 to 54 fell by an average of two per cent each year. This was reflected in other rich countries, including France, Germany, the UK, Canada, Australia, and Sweden. After 1998, these nations saw mortality rates for this group steadily continue to fall, by two per cent every year.

But, in the US, mortality rates rose by half a per cent a year. The authors wrote: ‘No other rich country saw a similar turnaround.’ They estimate that had the white mortality in the US rate held at its 1998 value, 96,000 lives would have been saved between 1998 and 2013. And had it continued to fall as it had between 1978 and 1998, 488,500 deaths would have been avoided from 1999 to 2013.

This figure is comparable to the number of deaths caused by the Aids epidemic in the US.

While death rates related to drugs, alcohol and suicides have risen for middle-aged whites across the board, the largest surge are seen among those with the least education. A shock rise in mortality rates for middle-aged, white Americans has been driven by a rise in suicides, drug and alcohol poisonings and liver disease. In 2011, poisonings overtook lung cancer as a leading cause of death in this group and suicides is poised to do so, Princeton researchers said For those with a high school degree or less, deaths caused by drug and alcohol poisoning rose four fold, suicides increased by 81 per cent, and deaths caused by liver disease and cirrhosis jumped 50 per cent.

All-cause mortality rose by 22 per cent for this least-educated group. Among those with some college education, researchers noted little change in overall death rates. While among those people who achieved a bachelor’s degree or higher, death rates fell.

Free trade was already dead from an economic and nationalist perspective. This should make it clear that there is no longer a moral case for free trade. It is both deeply inequitable and deplorably immoral; it is simply another form of the historical predation of the elite upon the peasantry. And it is, therefore, a significant and growing factor in the cliodynamical stresses that are leading towards the ultimate dissolution of the United States.

Alt-Right: what it is

I was helpfully provided with a translation of the 16 Points for the fat middle of the Bell Curve. I trust this will clarify the more complicated and challenging points that were troubling some English speakers.

1. Alt Right is right-wing. No lefties!
2. Alt Right edge, not lame. Cucks and cons so lame.
3. Alt Right gonna win. Not gonna lose.
4. Europe good, church good, white people good. History good too.
5. Freedom for everybody!
6. Stay home and don’t touch the foreign poop.
7. Equality bad, equality isn’t even.
8. Science good. Made-up shit bad.
9. Everybody votes they boys.
10. Small crew can’t tell big crowd what to do. Not for long, anyhow.
11. MS-13 gonna kill Crips. Bloods gonna kill Latin Kings. Split them up!
12. Alt Right got no fucks to give.
13. Free trade bad. No jobs, no money, no good.
14. White people good.
15. Stay home and leave them Red, Yellow, Brown, and Black people alone.
16. War bad, genocide bad too.

TL;DR: Everyone should be left by they own damn selves

I’m informed that a midwit translation is in the works, but unfortunately, with all the caveats, definitions, and pedantic clarifications, it is already 1,600 pages long. Translators are also working on the sperg edition of the translation, which comes with 800 more footnotes and a 200-page appendix of additional definitions.

You may not be interested in identity politics

But identity politics is your new reality, whether you are a Republican (White party), a Democrat (Not-White party), or an Independent (White or non-White who votes White but doesn’t want to admit it).

Symone Sanders, former spokeswoman for the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign, appeared on CNN Wednesday afternoon to weigh in on the future of the DNC and the Democratic party. Sanders dismissed the idea of Howard Dean returning as DNC chairman commenting, “we don’t need white people leading the Democratic party right now.”

“Howard Dean is also on record maligning young people and millennials. Telling those Bernie folks they just need to get in line and maligning Bernie Sanders. And that is not what we need,” Sanders said about the former party chairman.

“In my opinion we don’t need white people leading the Democratic party right now,” Sanders said. “The Democratic party is diverse, and it should be reflected as so in leadership and throughout the staff, at the highest levels. From the vice chairs to the secretaries all the way down to the people working in the offices at the DNC.”

That’s not quite honest of Ms Sanders.What she actually means is “we won’t accept white people leading the Democrat party ever again.” And by “white people”, she actually means “white people and Jews”.

TL;DR: Jews just developed a newfound interest in small government, a newfound respect for Donald Trump, and have decided they are White again.

Next year in Beijing!

My take: A Black candidate in 2020 who loses to the God-Emperor is the last hurrah for the traditional Democratic identity groups, followed by an Asian-Hispanic ticket in 2024.
