This is what gatekeeping looks like

While whining about how Amazon won’t post his Very Important Review of The Plot Against the President, Powerline’s Scott Johnson reveals his real imperative as a conservative gatekeeper:

I found three of the several talking heads in the film to be out of place: Mike Cernovich, Kimberly Guilfoyle, and Jack Posobiec. However, I appreciated the inclusion of the eminent historian Edward Luttwak. Among Luttwak’s many books is Coup d’État: A Practical Handbook. He brings scholarly expertise to the theme of the film. He knows what he is talking about.

Keep in mind that the “eminent historian” is primarily known by historians for writing a book about Roman grand strategy while being clueless about Roman history, and is famous for wrongly predicting that Desert Storm was going to be a protracted and bloody campaign in which U.S. troops would suffer thousands of casualties. He has also written a book on the “grand strategy” of the Byzantine empire despite knowing no more about the Byzantine empire than you, me, or Kimberly Guifoyle.

Notice that Johnson doesn’t explain why three people who are active observers of U.S. politics are supposed to be more out of place than an obvious ticket-taking globalist who still doesn’t understand how Trump was elected in the first place, and whose referenced book is “a hilarious satire”.

Krugman admits economists were wrong

 About free trade and globalization:

Paul Krugman has never suffered fools gladly. The Nobel Prize-winning economist rose to international fame—and a coveted space on the New York Times op-ed page—by lacerating his intellectual opponents in the most withering way. In a series of books and articles beginning in the 1990s, Krugman branded just about everybody who questioned the rapid pace of globalization a fool who didn’t understand economics very well. “Silly” was a word Krugman used a lot to describe pundits who raised fears of economic competition from other nations, especially China. Don’t worry about it, he said: Free trade will have only minor impact on your prosperity.

Now Krugman has come out and admitted, offhandedly, that his own understanding of economics has been seriously deficient as well. In a recent essay titled “What Economists (Including Me) Got Wrong About Globalization,” adapted from a forthcoming book on inequality, Krugman writes that he and other mainstream economists “missed a crucial part of the story” in failing to realize that globalization would lead to “hyperglobalization” and huge economic and social upheaval, particularly of the industrial middle class in America. And many of these working-class communities have been hit hard by Chinese competition, which economists made a “major mistake” in underestimating, Krugman says.

It was quite a “whoops” moment, considering all the ruined American communities and displaced millions of workers we’ve seen in the interim. 

Notice that they still haven’t admitted that they’re wrong about immigration and debt. But they still think you should listen to them, instead of the contrarian economists who have repeatedly been proven correct by events. It will be particularly amusing if he cites my labor mobility argument against free trade. I tend to doubt he will credit it properly….

What I find infuriating, though, is the way their own simple mainstream GDP models quite clearly predicted what will happen in a trade war between the USA and China. Any nation with a seriously negative balance of trade will automatically benefit from reduced trade and therefore win the trade war because a reduction in trade increases the (X-M) total. Reduce imports, increase GDP. The relationship is basic math.

Over the target

The blog is suddenly getting hit today by hundreds of spam comments. It’s a clear indication that the Hunter Biden incest and corruption scandal is squarely over the target. Fortunately, we’re already on full moderation lockdown, so most of the comments are going directly to spam.

Rumors

This one is more credible than the norm simply because it comes from the same source that first reported Jeffrey Epstein’s death. That does not mean it is true, of course.

Don’t ask me how I know but Hunter Biden died of a crack overdose over 20 minutes ago. Joe is already on his way to the hospital.

If true, it might serve to explain a rather less credible rumor.

Biden halted his campaign today (not rumor) and rumor has it he had a stroke that was followed by a larger stroke and death. I did not say that, call it BUNK, but that’s the rumor going around right now. It is somewhat safe to say he at least had a minor stroke. If Biden is indeed dead, he’ll be kept alive until after the election If he is alive, he actually did suspend his campaign

At approximately the exact same time Biden’s campaign got suspended, all the Biden drops stopped. So there are also rumors that a deal was made, but I would not bet on it. I am betting on two things, the first being they got locked out of their servers and the second being they are in custody, under arrest or dead. There is absolutely no proof of anything right now. No proof of a stroke. No proof of server lockouts, no proof of arrests, but one thing is definite: something is very fishy.

If Hunter Biden did die, by OD or by Epsteining, that would also suffice to explain Biden halting his campaign. Gateway Pundit has said that “something very big and shocking is breaking” this morning. So, we’ll see… Regardless, it’s not hard to figure out why the stroke rumors started.

Joe Biden last night seemed to forget who the president was, noting that he was fighting against ‘four more years of George.’ Addressing supporters online, during a virtual concert to drum up enthusiasm, the 77-year-old sat next to his wife Jill.

‘Four more years of George, er, George, er, he – we’re going to find ourselves in a position where, if Trump gets elected, we’re going to be in a different world,’ said Biden. Jill appeared to remind him, under her breath: ‘Trump,’ as Biden faltered over such an elementary fact that it is the classic question asked of confused patients: ‘Who’s the President?’

Many speculated that he was thinking of George W. Bush, president from 2001-09, but he may also have been thinking of Bush Snr. who was in office from 1989-93.

UPDATE: This had better not be the “very big and shocking” news that was to break this morning. Literally no one cares about this sort of inside baseball. We have known since Ruby Ridge and Waco that the FBI is corrupt.

And a fifth text message shows Hunter explaining to a certain person that her mom told former VP Joe Biden that she would call the police if Hunter tried to see that person:

 I found this article about working with Sid Hartman to be both amusing and inspiring.

Another time I thought Sid was dead was when I got a phone call saying he had fallen and broken his hip.

I was unaware how dire a situation that was for an elderly person — and Sid was 96 at the time — but based on the tone of the conversations, I began to think Sid would never work again. I got hold of his son, Chad, to see if I could come visit.

Sid was in a recovery room at Fairview Southdale, lying in a hospital gown with an array of machines connected to him and doctors and nurses and family coming in and out of the room. I had never seen him in a vulnerable position. I went to his bedside and asked him, as quietly and kindly as I could, how he was doing.

He rose up slightly, “You tell them not to touch my column.”

He was back to work three weeks later, writing about the Gophers hiring P.J. Fleck as the football coach.

He would publish 612 more columns.

To put that in perspective, I wrote a grand total of 535 columns for WND, enough to fill three fat hardcovers. Sid Hartman wrote more than that… after the age of 96. You’re not done until you’re well and truly done. 

And on a sadder note, RIP Matt Blair. I met the great Minnesota linebacker twice as a child, and I still have the cards from his photography studio he started after retiring from the Vikings.

No “tossup in Texas”

Now the media is just getting high on its own supply:

I’m only posting this because I suspect it will be funny to compare it to the actual results. Meanwhile, 538 has actually bumped up Biden’s chances from 77 percent a month ago to 87 percent today.

Election night promises to be a lot of fun watching the pollsters dance.

The media blackout cracks

 The Daily Mail has addressed the Hunter Biden videos. Allegedly.

Multiple videos and images claiming to show Hunter Biden in sexually explicit scenes and using drugs were shared on Chinese video platform GTV

GTV is a subsidiary of GTV Media Group, which was founded by former Trump senior adviser Steve Bannon and Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui in April 2020

The clips were uploaded by a single user Saturday night and one of the videos accuses Joe Biden of being ‘100{5c1a0fb425e4d1363f644252322efd648e1c42835b2836cd8f67071ddd0ad0e3} controlled by the Chinese Communist party’  

It’s not clear if the footage came from the ‘laptop from hell’, but some images appear to be from a third party laptop 

Bannon has claimed that everything in the Hunter laptop scandal is true and accused Joe Biden of taking a 10 percent equity in his son’s business dealings 

The footage has also been censored on Reddit

There does not appear to be any confirmation that the footage is legitimate.

The media is going to be spinning everything madly, of course, fighting every step along the way to deny what is right in front of their eyes, but the important thing is that the blackout has already failed.

Pelosi is next

To exactly no one’s surprise, it looks as if Nancy Pelosi’s bagman will be the next to be exposed. The /pol/ anons are all over it:

Latest update: There have been a slew of photos released showing Hunter involved in sex with minors. Also a photo released of him having sex with his brothers’s wife while she has the wedding ring on. Too much stuff like that to even go over but I am saving it all.

Her boy, Paul, had a Taiwanese girl friend who has stated that Paul was setting up the same kinds of deals for Nancy that Hunter was setting up for Joe. At first she thought he was a legit business man but then discovered it was all fake shell companies being used to funnel money to Nancy from the Chinese government. When Paul figured out she knew, he left her and then sent CPS to take her 4 children. This story is growing, but Nancy is clearly another Joe.

The drops are now coming so fast that there is no way I can handle all of it, and it is now being dropped via multiple outlets once Twitter banned Gnews. All I was doing is saving files to the desktop as fast as I could and when I closed the browser it looked like I had a HUGE porn stache….

In fairness, it’s his only chance

Putting together the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in American history isn’t nothing. It probably isn’t compatible with U.S. law or the U.S. Constitution, but one really shouldn’t dismiss the historic accomplishment out of hand.

No wonder they’re keeping poor old Creepy Joe on such a short leash. At this point, I’m surprised they let him talk at all.

What the Biden videos prove

The shills at /pol/ are desperately trying to minimize the fallout from the growing number of Biden videos being leaked, saying things like “well, I guess I’m not voting for Hunter Biden then” and “OMG, do you losers not realize that some people actually have sex!” But the fact that Hunter Biden is a complete degenerate who may be even more incestuous than he was already known to be isn’t the point. The point is who has the videos of him and why they have so many.

AC explains how the videos may alter our understanding of how the ticket works, since we don’t know which comes first, the corruption or the offer.

I have said previously it has appeared one thing Cabal required to advance people to the highest levels was a willingness to prove fealty by giving their children to the machine. Now, I suspect it was not so much a request they made. Rather, the surveillance was always on the lookout for families like this. Fathers molesting children, sons molesting sisters, drugs, debauchery, and on and on. Remember it is highly likely almost everyone gets a few days of being followed and them listening in your house every year or two, and some may get much, much more. I thought they were on the lookout for threats, but now I think they were probably primarily looking for this. When they found a family like this, how high they rose was only a measure of how degenerate they were. The worse their behavior, the more blackmail Cabal would get, and the higher they would rise. Biden is a complete imbecile, but he is just a smidge away from being President, and if Cabal was in full control, he would be.

As a result of this, we may be poised to find out that almost the entire leadership of our nation is one big orgy of sexually abused people with uncontrolled hyper sexuality, having sex with each other, passing each other their children, and doing God only knows what else. And when you have degenerates like that, and China shows up with $1.5 billion for whoever will sell out American interests, the DNC will very rapidly turn into the DNCCP.

One doesn’t need to force anyone to do what they are already doing. One merely need only facilitate and utilize their actions. Then again, there is no reason why both methods couldn’t be utilized, since having access to the more degenerate set would only make it easier to corrupt the non-autodegenerate people. That’s why I would expect more interfamily relationships like the reported Biden-Coons connection to come to light in the near future.
