They TRIED to do That

An absurd ex post facto explanation for the Bud Light marketing fiasco that naturally appeals to Smart Boys has been making the rounds:

Bud Light’s controversial partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney could have been a “strategic” attempt to permanently alter the brand’s audience, according to an anonymous former employee.

The popular beer brand came under fire in April after a post from Mulvaney’s Instagram account featured a personalized Bud Light can. The backlash to the brand in response to partnering with the transgender figure led to a massive slump in sales.

Though the company’s CEO insisted in a statement that it “never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people,” the ex-Anheuser-Busch worker suggested that the move was intentional.

“[Employees] expressed the fact that they were shocked. ‘Why would they do this? What were they thinking?’ Especially now. This is the worst; it’s like the worst time yet, the best timing yet if a company were trying to change the way it operates from a corporate level. And that’s just my opinion,” he said to OutKick’s Tomi Lahren, “Many of us are talking about that like they planned it in a way…like a strategic destruction of Bud Light.”

This has been spreading around social media courtesy of the dumber sort of conservatives and conspiracy theorists. It’s one thing to reject the mainstream narrative on the very sound grounds that a) the observable facts don’t support the narrative and b) the media always lies. Always be suspicious of any explanation that depends upon a motivation.

Since Smart Boys habitually claim retroactive intent for their stumblings and bumblings, and since they love to see things that everyone else doesn’t, especially things that aren’t there, it’s no surprise that the explanation appeals to them. They would LOVE to explain the REAL reason Bud Light’s marketing team immolated its own product, which of course couldn’t possibly be related to the reason the entire game, book, and movie industries have been doing the same.

After all, wouldn’t exactly the same motivation account for THE RINGS OF POWER? The strategic destruction of Amazon Studios!

To accept a substitute motivation for what has been the observable motivation of the corpocracy for the last decade on the basis of a suggested possibility that is the opinion of an uninformed former employee borders on the retarded. Especially when that “they MEANT to do that” motivation very usefully absolves the SJWs of their responsibility for the failure, thereby encouraging other SJWs in other corporations to continue metastasizing their cancers.

Come to think of it, perhaps we should be encouraging the Smart Boys here after all…

UPDATE: Heckuva plan, Brendan!

Sales are down, A-B’s stock price is getting crushed and CEO Brendan Whitworth is planning a tour across America to save the brand. Now, Anheuser-Busch is also writing checks to Bud Light distributors losing business, according to Beer Business Daily. Some distributors will be paid $.20 to $.50 per case depending on how bad sales have fallen, according to the report. Anheuser-Busch will also pick up the tab for any fuel and freight surcharges.

Tell Me You’re a Boomer

Without actually telling me you’re a Boomer:

I would like to add a song to Randy L’s list that should be banned from being played in public. The Backstreet Boys “I want it that way” should be on it. There are a few boy band songs that are probably worse but I’ll admit this one is personal for me.

The New York Mets used to play Billy Joel’s “Piano Man” in the middle of the 8th inning at every home game which is a great choice because it’s a classic and Billy Joel is from Long Island. This year they allow the fans to choose from three different songs, Piano Man and I Want It That Way are two of the choices.

I have been to three home games and the Backstreet Boys have won every time, all by very narrow margins which makes me think the voting is rigged because there is no way this should happen in New York. To add insult to injury, the scoreboard then finds every millennial and gen z guy who is lip-singing and posing as if they are making a boy band video.

The whole thing is nauseating to me but I am hoping that one day reason will prevail and Piano Man will be returned to the 8th inning where it belongs.

Billy Joel’s “Piano Man” was released in 1973. So, it wasn’t enough for the Boomers to force their music on Generation X. Now they’re actually offended that their music is finally being replaced by the generations that came after the one that came after them. Because how can their music be the best there ever was if people who were born 40 years after it was released aren’t as captivated by it as they were?

So obnoxious. The Day of the Pillow can’t come soon enough.

Of truth and Truth

Liars are very concerned that Christianity appears to make it harder for them to successfully lie to people:

A new study, published in something called the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion, claims that both Christian nationalism and biblical literalism are independently associated with a greater tendency to believe in conspiracy theories. More to the progressive point, that study purportedly found when people believed in both Christian nationalism and biblical literalism, their distrust of government officials increased significantly. Egad!

In other words, they were more astute and less naïve.

Yet leftists believe that the findings provide insight into the socio-cultural factors that contribute to the inexplicable spread and persistence of “misinformation” — among certain groups of people.

The more one is dedicated to discovering the truth, the more one finds oneself led inexorably toward the Way, the Truth, and the Life. It should not be a surprise that the People of the Lie wish to dissuade everyone from even beginning to learn what the truth of their reality is.

Sorry Not Sorry

The Budweiser CEO is planning a Hilary Clinton-style “listening tour” in an attempt to fix the Bud Light tranny debacle.

The Anheuser-Busch CEO plans on traveling around America “this summer to listen to consumers, in connection with Budweiser’s MLB sponsorship,” according to Axios.

Whitworth also released a statement Thursday attempting to get Bud Light back on track and vowing to do the three following things:

First, we are investing to protect the jobs of our frontline employees.

Second, we are providing financial assistance to our independent wholesalers to help them support their employees.

Third, to all our valued consumers, we hear you. Our summer advertising launches next week, and you can look forward to Bud Light reinforcing what you’ve always loved about our brand – that it’s easy to drink and easy to enjoy.

As we move forward, we will focus on what we do best – brewing great beer and earning our place in moments that matter to you.

Translation: if we stop trying to ram LGBTP propaganda down your throats for a little while, will you please, please, please consider drinking our pale ice-cold imitation of real beer again?

Don’t be fooled. The corpocracy is 100-percent globohomo and looks at these setbacks as a “one step back, two steps forward” thing. Don’t stop not buying their wicked wares.

A General’s Prediction

The divergence between Gen. Petraeus’s predictions for the Kiev counteroffensive and the apparent results does not bode well for NATO strategists.

Gen David Petraeus has said Ukraine’s counteroffensive is “very impressive” and can succeed, adding that the Ukrainians are “determined to liberate their country”.

On the counteroffensive, he said:

I think that this counteroffensive is going to be very impressive.

My sense is that they will achieve combined arms effects in other words, they will successfully carry out combined arms operations where you have engineers that are breaching the obstacles and diffusing the minefields and so forth; armour following right on through protected by infantry against anti-tank missiles; air defence keeping the Russians aircraft off them; electronic warfare jamming their radio networks; logistics right up behind them; artillery and mortars right out in front of them.

And most important of all … is that as the lead elements inevitably culminate after 72-96 hours, physically that’s about as far as you can go, and they’ll have taken losses … you have follow-on units that will push right on through and capitalise on the progress and maintain the momentum and I think that can get the entire Russian defence in that area moving, then I think you have other opportunities that will open up on the flanks as well.

It’s been a lot more than 72-96 hours. Not only are the NATO forces nowhere near Moscow, but they’ve essentially bounced off what has been described as “a wall of steel”, losing about one-third of their forces in the process.

Simplicius has turned out to be correct again. This is a “Schroedinger’s Offensive”, which is no longer an offensive, much less a “very impressive” one, but rather, a mere test, and mere recon in force. Never mind that the “in force” in this case amounted to a substantial percentage of the total available equipment.

No wonder the neoclowns are suddenly babbling about diplomacy and the need for negotiations.

A Purge, Long Overdue

They have a long way to go, but the Southern Baptists have finally begun to take their professed faith seriously and clean their house.

The letter in October came as a shock to Linda Barnes Popham, who had been the pastor of Fern Creek Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky., for 30 years, the first woman to lead her congregation. She had served in ministry even longer, since she started as a pianist at age 16.

But now, she read in the letter, officials of the Southern Baptist Convention had received a complaint about her church being led by a woman. The denomination was investigating, it said.

She replied at length, listing her qualifications and her church’s interpretation of the Bible that affirmed her eligibility to lead. Church deacons, including men, rallied to her defense.

Convention officials decided to expel her church anyway, along with four other congregations that have female pastors, including one of the most prominent in the country, Saddleback Church, based in Southern California.

“I never believed this would happen,” Ms. Barnes Popham said of the move to expel her church, as she prepared to appeal the expulsion on Tuesday afternoon before thousands of delegates at the annual S.B.C. convention in New Orleans. “Why would you want to silence the voices of the faithful churches? Why?”

However the delegates vote on her appeal, the larger message is clear: There is a movement in the Southern Baptist Convention, a denomination that is often a bellwether for evangelical America, to purge women from its leadership.

The right wing of the Southern Baptists, the largest Protestant denomination in America, is now — like conservatives more broadly — cracking down on what it sees as dangerous liberal drift.

UPDATE: Members of the Southern Baptist Convention upheld the decision of the Executive Committee to boot Fern Creek Baptist Church from the organization, on a 9,700-806 vote.

It’s about time. The answer to the woman’s question is very straightforward. “Why would you want to silence the voices of the faithful churches?” Because no Christian church led by a woman is faithful. Those voices are satanic.

If women want to start their own equalitarian Goddess-centered pagan religion, they currently have the right to do so in most countries throughout the West. What they don’t have the right to do, what they will never have the right to do no matter what the law asserts, is to elevate their own sensibilities above the Bible or violate the tenets of the Christian faith and still call themselves “Christian”.

These false female pastors should be grateful. If events proceed the way history suggests they will, within 50 years they won’t just be expelled, they’ll be burned at the stake.

Disney Adopts Zero History

Once a premier curator of American history, the skinsuit of the company founded by Walt Disney has opted for historical oblivion and the destruction of its own artifacts:

Walt had a vision of himself as one of the Big Americans, that his name would be remembered with men like Ford and Edison. Whether he genuinely felt an accurate record of his life and work would reflect well on him or he knew he was going to be in the history books anyway so he would be well served by writing the history book himself, he is one of the very few businessmen to start a museum dedicated to curating his life, his work and the company he built up from nothing.

So was born the Walt Disney Company Archive. Or simply The Archive. Just about every major or even minor thing the Walt Disney Company ever was a part of was dutifully curated. Decommissioned park attractions that were being dismantled would have disused animatronics packed away and sent to the archive. Every single addition and more importantly subtraction to the parks was carefully noted at the Archive. Artwork from all of the Disney animated features were meticulously cataloged and preserved at the Archive.

The Archive also operates public museums where you can gawk at such diverse things as Disneyland opening day curios, doodads, and tourist gimcrack. Want to see the real Pirates Redhead? She now lives at the archive. Original scripts, props from the Davey Crockett show. Various denizens of Tomorrowland’s obsolete future past are on display at The Archive.

You know what you won’t find at the Archive? Not one fucking thing connected with Splash Mountain. The most popular ride in the history of Disney parks and not one trace of it was curated.

The preservation of historical knowledge is one of the most sacred and important things that can be accomplished even by the irreligious. So it should come as no surprise that eradicating history is always among the foremost objectives of the Zero Historians in their permanent campaign against all that is Good, Beautiful, and True.
