Bookshelf Billionaire

Some people flex their gold chains and other flex their debt-financed sports utility vehicles. But contra the assumptions of this semi-literate Potemkin Pushkinite with a terminal case of imposter syndrome, the discerning intellectual flexes his bookshelves:

I confess that when I take a Zoom call, I rotate my chair and my laptop 45 degrees so that my head is framed by books. This is because the straight-on view is of an office full of piled up junk. The bookshelf background is tidier, but you can’t tell much about me from the titles, because I haven’t read any of them. They’re not my books – just my share of the general household burden, most of them paperbacks bought by my wife before she met me. But if you’re impressed by seeing the Complete Prose of Pushkin above my left ear, I’m also OK with that.

The Pushkin illusion is perhaps an unintentional example of Bookshelf Wealth, a design trend cited by both the New York Times and Homes & Gardens magazine, and described as a “whole home vibe” by TikTok interior designer Kailee Blalock. It’s an understated, homey look that seems to involve getting some books and putting them on shelves.

Of course it’s not that simple. “These aren’t display books,” says Blalock. “These are books that have actually been curated and read.” In that case Pushkin is ruled out on both counts. But what do your curated books say about you? How wealthy are you, bookshelf wise?

This is meant to convey casual intellectual abundance: my books, they just get everywhere! It’s curated overspill affected by someone who has never known true overspill – a book on its side takes up the shelf space of at least five upright books. When you really have too many books they end up wedged in so tight you can’t get them back out. This looks more like you’re halfway through packing up to move house, which is very now.

No one will ever believe you’ve read these, much less curated them. It just looks as if you’ve tried to purchase cultural credibility by the metre. If that’s the effect you’re after, you’re better off slicing off the spines and gluing them directly to the walls.

If books on shelves are Bookshelf Wealth, then it’s readily apparent that I am a Bookshelf Billionaire. My leather books are not merely curated and read, but I’ve published about half of them, and even written a few as well.

The Science of Female Competition

I wasn’t planning to post more than once a week on Sigma Game, but given the high level of interest demonstrated combined with my Cernovichian philosophy which dictates reinforcing success and starving failure, I’ve had to rethink my plans. So, today Sigma Game reviews an old Alpha Game post from 2011 in light of two recently published scientific studies about female competition. It’s fascinating to note the way in which both logic and science line up perfectly with observed female experience.

Due to an inept stylist over-processing part of my hair, it was breaking on one side and not the other, I had to continually cut it to even it out. It was shorter than I’ve ever been comfortable with. Now that it’s growing again I hear from women “oh, I just loved your hair shorter.” I don’t believe it. They also try to convince me to go back to my natural color (dark “dirty dishwater” blonde) instead of the color my husband prefers (platinum). Again, a suggestion I think is insincere and catty. Of course not all men prefer blondes but mine does, and women should not be taken seriously when suggesting hair styles to each other, unless they are trying to prevent the Good Idea Fairy from convincing them to “chop” their hair.

The conclusions of the two studies are highly amusing in light of the vociferous protests that greeted the historical post in defense of a woman’s right to chop her hair off, for any reason, without being forced to endure the painful knowledge that most men will find her less attractive. But I suppose that we have already been reliably informed that science is intrinsically misogynistic due to its inherent failure to prioritize feelings over empirical data.

Improving Democracy with Technology

Klaus Schwab and Sergey Brin of Google discuss the possibility of replacing voting with AI at the World Economic Forum:

World Economic Forum (WEF) founder and chairman Klaus Schwab has called for members of the general public to be excluded from election processes, arguing that voters could be replaced by artificial intelligence (AI). Schwab made the chilling calls during a WEF interview with Google co-founder Sergey Brin. During the discussion Schwab and Brin were discussing “digital technologies,” such as AI, and how they could be used to advance the WEF’s agenda.

“So technology now, and digital technology, mainly have an analytical power,” Schwab said as Brin nodded along obediently. “Now, we go into predictive power and we have seen the first examples. Your company is very much involved in it,” Schwab said of Google.

Schwab then continued by laying out his globalist vision for “the next step” for digital technology.

“But then the next step could be to go into prescriptive mode, which means you do not even have to have elections anymore because you can already predict. And afterward, you can say, why do we need elections? Because we know what the result will be.”

If the US military was actually concerned with “defending democracy”, which has been its excuse for dozens of military actions around the world since WWI, one would quite reasonably expect them to label the unelected Schwab “the new Hitler” and declare war on Davos. Because it has become abundantly clear that the whatever the globalist clowns actually mean by “our democracy”, it doesn’t have anything to do with the will of a nation’s people, no matter how it is expressed.

Instead, it’s gearing up for war with the duly-elected, and very popular, President of Russia.

Clown World isn’t just evil, it is inverted. False and inverted. Never forget that.

Disintegration

One of the reasons I selected Martyanov’s book on military supremacy for the Library series is that he’s considerably more perceptive than the average geopolitical observer. I’ve been reading his book on the ongoing breakup of the United States, and it was intriguing to see that he’s one of the few observers who understands that the USA is not, and has never been, a genuine nation.

Some quotes from his book Disintegration:

  • America’s collapse has been in the progress for some time now, and has been predicted by a number of observers—but in actuality the utter, historically unprecedented degeneration of America’s so-called elites, which have exhibited a level of malfeasance, incompetence, cowardice and betrayal of their own people on such a scale that it beggars belief. 
  • For the United States to survive as a unified country, a completely new narrative, grounded in reality, is required and the current American policy elites, be they purportedly left radicals and those forces which support them or the nominally conservative, no less grossly indoctrinated forces on the right, are utterly incapable of formulating the real American national interests, or of creating a new narrative, because the United States is in the process of the fragmentation of what used to be an American proto-nation, but ultimately never fully turned into the real thing. Political creeds, or abstract, often utterly wrong ideas are simply not enough to inspire and, most importantly, to sustain the growth of a nation. The modern American elites and their European followers have proved that beyond a shadow of a doubt.
  • Today neither France nor the United States are nations in a full meaning of this word, with France descending into the chaos of globalist multicultural orthodoxy, while the United States is completely subverted by ethno-religious and corporate interests.
  • Today, the United States is not a nation, certainly not in the traditional sense of having a dominant ethnic nationality, while the foundational American meme and myth of a “Melting Pot” has turned out to be exactly that—a myth. America’s many ethnicities have not been assimilated to form a single nation, but rather are more aptly regarded as a salad bowl comprised of descendants of the majority “white” European settlers and the “colored” (Native American, African American, and Latin and Asian immigrant) minorities, all maintaining to varying degrees their original cultural identities. But even the salad bowl analogy is too weak to reflect the multicultural disaster the United States has become.

Martyanov clearly sees what generations of Americans, blinded by relentless civnattery and immigrant propaganda, and generations of immigrants, averting their eyes from the historical facts that make them feel uncomfortable or left out, cannot. It is this ability to be ruthlessly objective about the world as it is, rather than the world we are told it is, or the world we wish it would be, that makes his insights and observations valuable.

The Irrelevant Media

The mainstream media is still operating under the illusion that it can control the Narrative.

MSNBC and CNN refused to air former President Donald Trump’s Republican Iowa caucus victory speech Monday evening, while airing fellow candidates’ speeches.

To say that they don’t have any grasp whatsoever on the current situation would be an understatement. And their justification for ignoring the winner’s words while broadcasting the speeches of those candidates who have not only been rejected, but overwhelmingly rejected, by the voters is downright risible.

There is a cost to us as a news organization, knowingly broadcasting untrue things as a fundamental truth of our business and who we are and so his remarks tonight will not air here live.

I’m not saying that Trump tells the truth. I’m certainly not at all thrilled about him in the aftermath of his abject failures with regards to the vaxx, the Deep State, and the integrity of the 2020 election. But the implication that he is the first politician to ever say anything that is an untrue thing is astonishing and accomplishes absolutely nothing except add yet another strike to the credibility of the ABCNNBCBS cabal.

Donald Trump isn’t the only one whose words are being edited out by the literally satanic media:

NBC Sports reposted its post-game interview with Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud on social media following the team’s playoff victory against the Browns on Saturday. But NBC suspiciously edited the video, omitting what Stroud would consider the most principled line in his response: His mention of Jesus Christ.

Here’s the line NBC removed, Stroud’s very first line: “First and foremost, I just want to give all glory and praise to my Lord, Jesus Christ.”

Sigma Game on Substack

I’ve been working on the much-requested Socio-Sexual Hierarchy book and it’s going very well. Assuming we can get both AH:Q and the first Midnight’s War omnibus out to backers in the next few weeks, which we should be able to do, the crowdfund for the SSH book and the Hypergamous book will probably take place sometime in March, which is also when I anticipate finishing what was originally planned to be a 60k-word book, but will probably end up clocking in closer to 90k.

However, due to the growing mainstream interest in the SSH, particularly in the Sigma and Gamma profiles, I decided it would be a) necessary to have a central site for discussing the concepts that was absolutely not here and b) more immediately accessible to the new readers coming from outside the broader community who aren’t interested in economics, politics, fiction, games, history, or my copious media baggage.

So, I set up a Sigma Game substack. It will last as long as it lasts; no doubt it will come under relentless attack from Gammas and other anklebiters, which should serve to make certain SSH-related concepts readily apparent in a way that no amount of books, posts, and articles written by me ever could. It’s always nice when antifragility is built right into the foundation. It’s a pity that Substack comments can’t be limited to free subscribers, rather than just to paid subscribers, though.

The first post is an analysis of a 2012 Alpha Game post in which I supported Dr. Helen’s contention that shame was not an effective tool for encouraging single men to marry. And a review of the recent data would appear to strongly confirm that contention.

Twelve years later, as anticipated, shame has entirely failed as a strategy to encourage more young men to get married. To the contrary, men have even begun to demonstrate less interest in pursuing sex as well as marriage. And the marriage rate has fallen another 8.6 percent in the interlude, from 16.3 per 1,000 in 2011 to 14.9 per 1,000 in 2021.

How long I will actively maintain it, I do not know; if the book proves popular enough, I might even transfer it to its own site on one of the UATV servers. The Decline is Observable

It’s rapidly becoming readily apparent to everyone, not just me, Wang Hunin, Simplicius, and Andrei Martyanov, that the decline of the imperial United States is both a) inevitable and b) observable.

The best indicator of real GDP per capita is energy usage per capita, because everything about a comfortable modern lifestyle takes a lot of energy, energy comes into everything people do and consume. This was rising exponentially to 1972, when the rise suddenly halted. It then started fall, slowly. And suddenly it has now started to fall rather more quickly and dramatically. It looks like three trend regimes: Exponential growth starting in the seventeenth century, then stagnation and slow decline starting in 1972, and now it looks like the beginning of dramatic collapse, looks like the beginning of a sharp break in the trend of slow and gentle decline.

This reflects a regime ever more hostile to the men who made it great, to the faith that made it great, the culture that made it great, and race that made it great.

Notice that no matter what metric is used, 1972-1973 keeps appearing as the high water mark for the USA. That’s not an accident. 1972 was, from an economic, industrial, and demographic perspective, the moment of Peak America.

Everything since then has been nothing but decline disguised by the collapse of the Soviet Union.
