Never Sell Out

At least, not if you value your legacy. Because, sooner or later, the acquiring company will destroy what you and your family have built.

After more than 157 years, Leinenkugel’s beer will no longer be brewed in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

The beer that has become synonymous with the western Wisconsin town will soon be produced at parent company Molson Coors’ sprawling plant in Milwaukee.

Molson Coors said the decision to move production of Leinenkugel’s products came after improvements to its canning line in Milwaukee. Another smaller brewery under the Molson Coors umbrella, 10th Street Brewery in Milwaukee, will also be rolled into the company’s main operation.

According to the Molson-Coors Company website, the Leinenkugel’s brewery, with 120 employees at the location in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, will soon be closing.

When efficiency is the order of the day, there is never any respect for history. The money is nice, but there is no legacy in having your name on a can of Old Shoe.

Darkness in London

Some observers are anticipating a false flag in London after observing that nearly all of London’s omnipresent webcams have been uncharacteristically turned off.

Yesterday, as I was finalizing my new report on Great Britain, an update to my August 26 article “The Coming Collapse of Britain,” YouTube randomly suggested to me a short video by one Craig Houston titled, “Why are ALL LONDON webcams offline…?” I was nearly floored: Mr. Houston looked through hundreds of Webcams across London and could not find a single one that was live. See for yourself here and here! That’s extremely odd: clearly, someone made the decision to switch them all off – they couldn’t all have failed randomly.

One of the webcams over the Westminster bridge displayed the last image it recorded: it was on 2 September 2024 at 16:51, which at least gives us a clue about when the Heart of Darkness went dark to the world. I posted a comment about this in my TrendCompass report yesterday and one of the readers found a working Webcam at Abbey road. Still, that’s one out of hundreds that are still dark.

Why someone would decide to cut all the webcams is a mystery, and an ominous one. Mr. Houston didn’t offer any explanations, which is understandable given that he lives in Britain where singing, “kung fu fighting,” or silently praying on the sidewalk can get you arrested. But where he declined to tread, I’ll venture a guess.

I think it’s the only explanation that makes any sense to my mind: they are planning a false-flag terror attack on London which they’ll blame on Russia, so that they can trigger an all-out, whole-of-society mobilization by all of the Western powers against Russia.

This hypothesis may explain why the Russians have gone to such lengths to very publicly display the terrible capabilities of their conventional weapons, such as the Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile, in order to demonstrate that any nuclear false flag was neither necessary nor orchestrated by them. Two hallmarks of false flags is that the number of casualties is always less than would reasonably be expected – less than three thousand people died in the demolition of the Two Towers, when more than 50,000 people worked there every day – and the scale and scope of the false flag is always a little bit smaller and less consequential than would otherwise make sense.

In other words, a real terrorist attack on the FBI isn’t going to be in some random field office; the Oklahoma City truck could have just as easily have been parked in front of the J. Edgar Hoover Building. If there is a false flag attack in London, it would probably be on some trivial, but vaguely symbolic structure that was already scheduled for demolition. An aging football stadium scheduled for replacement would make an ideal candidate.

But a small dirty bomb going off somewhere in London is going to look totally unconvincing now that everyone knows Russia can demolish any target in the UK in less than 17 minutes with 36 hypersonic warheads in a single missile launch.

Whether Clown World actually dares to risk waving a false flag or not with the Trump administration taking power in little more than a month, it’s clear that its warmongers are increasingly desperate to put the nations of the West on the same sort of martial footing that the October 7th green flag succeeded in creating in Israel. Whether the deactivated streetcams of London are an indication that one is forthcoming or not, it’s best to watch with a deeply jaundiced eye whatever the next big current event happens to be, particularly if we’re immediately informed that the Russians were responsible.

UPDATE: The website that shows all of the camera feeds shows that they are still offline.

The Takeaway

Simplicius summarizes the current stage of US-Russian pre-negotiations for NATO’s surrender in Ukraine.

The long-awaited plans we’ve theorized and brainstormed on since last year are finally resolving into view, where the West believes they can freeze the war Korean-DMZ style then insert their occupation KFOR troops to make sure Russia can never take Odessa, etc. As we said last time, they are even considering outlandishly absurd contortions to satisfy Putin’s demands, such as ‘stationing the bulk of the Ukrainian army somewhere in Europe’ in order to fulfill the “demilitarization” goals as per Putin’s Istanbul negotiations, which stated what Ukraine was allowed to have “on its territory”, technically speaking.

The problem is, Russia is in the driver’s seat and will not indulge such petty attempts to cozen and wheedle out a minor victory for Ukraine. As such, the only danger we can now expect is for the West to escalate in some brazen way should they finally realize Russia is not taking the bait. But we know neutered Europe has no political authority or consensus to act unilaterally, and at this point can only function like a pack of hyenas, if other major European states back each other’s ‘daring’ initiative…

The fact is though, the longer the Ukrainian conflict goes on, the closer the European Union comes to the verge of collapse. The conflict is outright killing Europe by exposing its bought-off treasonous leaders as the populace-hating cretins they are, causing mass discontent and political breakdown, spurring revolutionary new impulses which will soon bulge out the foundation’s cracks.

I suspect that Russia will have to destroy an American base in Europe or two with non-nuclear Oreshniks before President Trump utilizes the financial corruption and the misuse of US aid funds to provide him with political cover to cut off Ukraine and Europe alike. NATO will die of its own accord as soon as the US stops funding it, and the EU will be more focused on its own survival as a smaller supranational organization when Hungary and other member-nations start leaving it.

There isn’t going to be any US nuclear response to Russia no matter what Russia does in Europe, because no American has any interest in dying for the Europeans who can’t even bother to defend themselves. America has its own issues with its tens of millions of invaders, and is far more concerned about the global challenge posed by China than the return of historic norms in Europe. Which means that despite all the neocon bluster, Russia is ultimately free to act in its own interests; there is no economic incentive that the West can offer that Russia will be short-sighted enough to believe is either real or meaningful in the aftermath of the 13 rounds of economic sanctions and financial theft.

President Trump is under considerable pressure to figure out a way to rescue the Ukrainian rump state, but he’s more interested in the Middle East. So all of the various factors point to the USA abandoning Ukraine, the EU governments collapsing as they eventually follow suit, and Russia finally imposing its solution on whatever government succeeds the corrupt Zelensky regime in Ukraine.

Which, tragically, is the outcome that was inevitable nearly three years and one million Ukrainian lives ago.

Too Egregious for Employment

The Chicago Bears uncharacteristically, but quite rightly, fire their head coach in the middle of the season:

After yesterday’s debacle, the Bears have done what they had to do. Chicago has fired head coach Matt Eberflus, according to multiple reports. He ends his tenure as Bears coach 14-32, including a 4-8 record in 2024. This is the first time in franchise history that the Bears made an in-season coaching change. But after what happened on Thursday, unprecedented action was warranted.

After I watched what had to be some of the worst clock management in history, I was not even remotely surprised that Eberflus was fired. It was so bad that I suspected the league had ordered the Lions to let the Bears back into the game after halftime, with the assurance that the Bears would flop at the end. Which flop Eberflus duly provided; he was a dead coach walking anyhow, so perhaps he was just being a good league soldier rather than exhibiting dyschronometria.

In a league where a good quarterback can get a team in field goal position with only 13 seconds and no timeouts, failing to even get within field goal range when you’ve got 1 and 10 on the 50 with two minutes left and two time outs is terrible. And to run out of time on fourth down without snapping the ball when you’ve still got a time out is absolutely inexcusable. In the last 30 seasons, there have been 1500 games when a team is at or inside the opponent’s 30 with a time out at the end of the game. This was the only one of those 1500 games where neither the special teams unit came on to the field nor was a time out called. To put that in perspective, you’re 45 percent more likely to die by drowning in the next 30 years than to see that happen again.

“That guy is so fired,” was my immediate response yesterday after watching the debacle play out. And I’m a little disappointed that I was correct, since I would have preferred to see him coaching the Bears for the next 20 years. The NFC North is already difficult enough with LaFleur and Campbell in the division.

Thanksgiving Sale: Libraria Edition

The Thanksgiving Sale 2024 has gone incredibly well, so much so that four of the Library books we put on sale this week are now completely sold out. So, we’ve decided to put all seven of the LIBRARIA editions of those same seven books on sale, for subscribers and non-subscribers alike, for $200, which is 60 percent off the retail price. This is an excellent opportunity for Library subscribers to pick up a copy or two if they’re curious about the various differences between the two editions, and, of course, there are few finer gifts available in that price range than a Libraria book with its Italian goatskin and 22k gold cover stampings.

The Thanksgiving Sale will end tomorrow, November 30th, at midnight. Limited stocks are available, especially for the following Library titles:

UPDATE: NDM Express is also having a Thanksgiving sale, including three Landmark Thucydides with minor issues.

Excellence in Everything

The pursuit of excellence, in even the most humble of responsibilities, is never a waste. Indeed, it can be recognized and celebrated, even in the most humble of responsibilities:

It’s been quite the week for Trevor Skogerboe. Skogerboe, an assistant equipment director at Cal, went viral over the weekend for tackling a fan who was trying to steal a helmet as the Golden Bears faithful stormed the field following a 24–21 victory over rival Stanford at California Memorial Stadium.

That tackle—which has gained the praise of many across the college football world, including Cal head football coach Justin Wilcox—earned Skogerboe a spot among the sport’s greatest talents in February.

Jim Nagy, the executive director of the Reese’s Senior Bowl, announced Wednesday that Skogerboe accepted his official invite to the annual showcase set for Feb. 1 at South Alabama. No, Skogerboe won’t be suiting up at linebacker at the 2025 Senior Bowl. But he will be a part of the equipment staff responsible for working the postseason college football All-Star game.

Don’t ever be content with just doing the minimum required. Pursue excellence, even if you’re the only one who will know the difference. Persistence plus excellence will not guarantee success – nothing short of taking the ticket will do that – but it lays the foundation that makes success possible.

Winning is Not on the Table

All of the more informed military strategists concur: the US military is in no shape to win any sort of war with Russia:

Most Americans continue to believe that the United States will prevail in a conventional war with Russia. But that is simply not the case. For starters, Russia’s state-of-the-art missile technology and missile defense systems are vastly superior to those produced by western weapons manufacturers. Secondly, Russia can field an army of more than 1 million battle-hardened combat troops who have experienced high-intensity warfare and are prepared to engage whatever enemy they may face in the future. Third, the United States no longer has the industrial capacity to match Russia’s impressive output of lethal weaponry, artillery shells, ammunition, and cutting-edge ballistic missiles. In short, Russian military capability far exceeds that of the US in the areas that really count: High-tech weaponry, military industrial capacity, and experienced manpower. In order to drive this overall point home, I’ve taken excerpts from the work of three military analysts who explain these matters in greater detail underscoring the dramatic shortcomings of the modern US military and the problems it is likely to encounter when faced with a more technologically advanced and formidable adversary…

We see the same criticisms reiterated over and over again : Insufficient industrial capacity, dwindling stockpiles, “insuperable production limitations”, and diminished technological superiority. When we add these to the myriad logistical problems of conducting a war in eastern Europe with an ad hoc army of inexperienced volunteers who have never seen combat, we can only conclude that the United States cannot and will not prevail in a prolonged conflict with Russia. Even so, Washington continues to fire ATACMS missiles into Russia (13 more were launched over the past two days) apparently believing that there will be no response to the provocation. Even so, NATO Command continues to entertain illusions of victory by pressing for preemptive “precision strikes” on Russian territory welcoming the prospect of a direct conflagration between NATO and Russia. And even though, both France and the UK threaten to deploy combat troops to Ukraine thinking the inexorable trajectory of the war can somehow be reversed. It’s madness.

Five centuries of primacy have produced a cadre of western elites so drunk with hubris that they are incapable of seeing what is painfully obvious to everyone else, that the imperial model of western exploitation (the ‘rules-based order’) is collapsing and that new centers of power are rapidly emerging. It appears now that these same elites are prepared to drag the world into a catastrophic Third World War to preserve their grip on power and to prevent other nations from achieving the independence and prosperity they’ve earned. Fortunately, Washington will fail in this effort just as it has failed in all its other interventions dating back to 1945. Because the United States no longer has the technology, manpower or industrial capacity needed to win a war with Russia.

I’m no professional military analyst. But I reached the same conclusion before the Special Military Operation began in 2022, and nothing that has happened since suggests otherwise. All of the US and NATO sabre-rattling is counterproductive, because it’s like bluffing in poker with nothing in your hand but Uno cards.

One hopes President Trump is getting better advice from his experts than Clown World is getting from its various professionals, analysts, and strategists, all of whom have invested too heavily in their word spells to be capable of admitting even the most obvious truths. This is how imperial overstretch happens.

And forget China, let alone the Sino-Russo-Persian alliance.

Refuse to Play, Refuse to Lose

The Boise State women’s volleyball team are demonstrating courage that very few other female athletes have been willing to show by refusing to play against men pretending to be women.

In a stunning turn of events, the Boise State Broncos women’s volleyball team announced that it will forfeit its semifinal match in the Mountain West Tournament against San Jose State. Although the team did not specify the reason for the forfeit, that’s obvious: SJSU has a trans-identifying biological male player, Blaire Fleming, on its team. The Broncos forfeited twice against SJSU during the regular season, but the prevailing thought was that the team wouldn’t forfeit during the conference tournament and end its hopes of reaching the NCAA Tournament. However, that’s exactly what the women decided to do.

Equality does not exist. Women cannot compete with men in the vast majority of sports, nor should they. The point of sports is competition, not winning, and there is no competition when men and women compete on physically unequal grounds; this is why there are weight limits in sports like boxing and weightlifting.

Since the politicians, the courts, the conferences, and the schools won’t do the right thing, it therefore falls to the athletes to shut down the whole charade. Let the deranged baphomites collect as many fake “tropies” and “championships” as they like; so long as women refuse to compete with them, they will win nothing.

Happy Thanksgiving

New York, 3 October 1789
By the President of the United States of America

A Proclamation.

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor—and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me “to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.”

Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be—That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks—for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation—for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his Providence which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late war—for the great degree of tranquillity, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed—for the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted—for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us.

And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressions—to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually—to render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed—to protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concord—To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the encrease of science among them and us—and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.

Given under my hand at the City of New-York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789.
