Just in case

Ivan Throne and the Safe Streets Project will be ready for Antifa in case they aren’t just bluffing:

An organization called Refuse Fascism has more far-left protests planned all over the country to commemorate the election of Donald Trump and the right’s upset on November 4 that could spin out of control quickly. “Regime change,” as they call it is the goal and yet they claim they are not trying to overthrow the government or disenfranchise millions of voters who voted for Donald Trump. The idea is to take to the streets until Trump and Pence resign. Seriously. This footage of Refuse Fascism activists hyping the coming chaos was taken on Halloween night on the streets of Chicago.

Refuse Fascism claims their protests will be nonviolent. But domestic terror groups Antifa and Black Bloc, may have other plans. Ivan Throne’s organization, Safe Streets Project, is planning to be in Austin, Texas this weekend to document, identify, and help curb any violence. Throne, author of the philosophy bestseller The Nine Laws , and owner of the DARK TRIAD MAN® platform has been organizing against Antifa and Black Bloc violence for the last year. The Safe Streets Project is a peaceful volunteer effort that allows individuals to quickly, securely, and privately identify and flag violent street rioters for prosecution. PJ Media reached out to Throne for more information on his work.

“Our core team consists of senior military, threat intelligence, business leaders, technical, S.W.A.T. and private military contractor professionals determined to use their deep convictions and connections to put an end to violent Antifa riots and associated crimes against decent men and women who believe in free speech in the United States,” he said. “Antifa and Black Bloc rioters on the streets can be safely and anonymously referred to prosecution and convicted by the work of decent men and women in the street who use our digital platform to submit intelligence reports, images, video, and more information where it is cross-referenced using facial recognition and other technology,” he explained.

“A Safe Streets Ground Dominance team will be physically deployed for the first time in Austin, TX this Saturday,” he continued. “We do expect that there will be sporadic bursts of individual acts of violence from Antifa and associated groups,” Throne warned. “As is true in any crowd gathering, mob mentality can certainly ensue. We will have cameras and work with law enforcement to make sure that people are not harmed and that Antifa crimes are prosecuted. This is a major evolution of our work.”

Personally, I consider the spaghetti-armed socialists of Antifa to be little more than a joke. 20 VFM would make mincemeat of them. But, it’s always best not to underestimate your enemy. Just in case.

Truck attack in NYC

The attack truck problem has crossed the Atlantic:

At least six people are dead and more than a dozen were injured after a truck mowed down people on a bike path in New York City Tuesday.

The incident happened just after 3 p.m. ET on the bike path that runs along the West Side Highway in Lower Manhattan.

The NYPD said a truck entered the West Street pedestrian/bike path a few blocks north of Chambers Street. It proceeded to strike multiple people on the path.

Multiple fatalities and injuries are reported, though a senior law enforcement source said at least six are dead and 15 are injured.

Well, it’s just part and parcel of life in a major city with open immigration. The innocent driver of the killer truck, whose motives remain unknown, was from Uzbekistan. Sadly, it appears the Magic Dirt failed again.

Eight years. And yet people usually start describing immigrants as “real Americans” after five.

But they’re such nice, hard-working people! More American than Americans!

Accidents are war by other means

An “accident” at a North Korean nuclear reactor proves fatal:

A TUNNEL at an underground North Korea nuclear site has collapsed with up to 200 people killed, according to reports. The collapse happened at the Punggye-ri nuclear test site in the north-east of the country on October 10, according to Japan’s TV Asahi.

I would be very surprised if this was not a covert act of war.

That was fast

Six years after women are permitted on British submarines, the top two officers on a sub have been cashiered, along with two female officers:

Five officers on board the submarine have threatened to quit amid the reports Stuart Armstrong, 41, commanding officer of the Vanguard-class submarine HMS Vigilant, was sexually involved with an officer. The incident came to light after a member of the crew alerted senior officials at the vessel’s base in Faslane, near Glasgow, and Armstrong has since been relieved of his duties.

The allegations sparked anger among crew members and when their boat completed its patrol and docked in the US, a source told The Times a handful wanted to hand in their notice.

Armstrong’s second-in-command Lieutenant Commander Michael Seal has also been suspended amid the claims, according to The Sun, who also named Sub-Lieutenant Edwards – Assistant Weapons Engineering Officer on HMS Vigilant – as one of the women involved.

HMS Vigilant is one of four British nuclear-armed Vanguard submarines on active patrol which provide protection to the UK in case of a nuclear war…. It was only six years ago that a ban preventing female officers serving on submarines was lifted.

As I mentioned in my interview with Cerno Media last night, permitting women entry destroys the integrity, the quality, and the status of every male institution. It doesn’t matter if it is academia, the church, the military, gaming guilds, comics, science fiction awards, or the Boy Scouts. In the immortal words of Bill Simmons, “the lesson, as always, is this: ‘women ruin everything.’”

If you don’t guard your borders, you will be overrun. It plays out the same way every single time. The main problem is not with the women, who are simply doing what women do and seeking out the alpha men – it’s not a coincidence that the two men involved are the Commander and the Lieutenant Commander – but rather, with the low-status white knights who are excited to have women around on a daily basis because they hope that they might improve their poor odds.

Catalonia to declare independence

Apparently the combination of Spain’s actions and the EU’s statements have pushed the Catalan separatists over the edge:

Catalonia will move on Monday to declare independence from Spain after holding a banned referendum, pushing the European Union nation toward a rupture that threatens the foundations of its young democracy.

Catalan President Carles Puigdemont said he favored mediation to find a way out of the crisis but that Spain’s central government had rejected this. Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy’s government responded by calling on Catalonia to “return to the path of law” first before any negotiations.

Mireia Boya, a Catalan lawmaker from the pro-independence Popular Unity Candidacy (CUP) party, said a declaration of independence would follow a parliamentary session on Monday to evaluate the results of the Oct. 1 vote to break away.

“We know that there may be disbarments, arrests … But we are prepared, and in no case will it be stopped,” she said on Twitter.

To paraphrase Ben Franklin, you can declare your independence, but can you keep it? It will be informative to see what lengths Spain is willing to go to keep Catalonia, and what the EU is willing to permit Spain to do.

But, as we know from our study of socionomics, the breakup of both Spain and the EU are inevitable. The pendulum is just beginning to swing back from its credit boom heights.

When losing, lose harder

Having failed to learn from the failure of its initial show of force, Spain appears to be intent on losing the moral level of war and is doubling down.

Defense Tuesday ordered the sending of the Army to Catalonia with material and to provide logistical support to the Civil Guard and the National Police . 

This should end well and totally convince the Catalonians that they really, truly are better off as part of Spain. I doubt it escapes anyone’s attention that the Spanish government has shown itself completely unwilling to use its Army against the marauding immigrants invading the country.

20+ dead in Vegas shootings

Automatic fire at a country music festival near Mandalay Bay Hotel. Multiple shooters reported and five hotels on lockdown. Attack happened while Jason Aldean was playing. Video of the first two minutes of the attack.

Confirmed reports of 50+ dead, 200+ injured. The clattering sounded like AK-47s on full auto.

No reports yet on whether it is Muslims, Black Lives Matter, or someone else. But it looks like Religion of Peace. ISIS featured the Las Vegas Strip in a video four months ago.

UPDATE: Las Vegas sheriff confirms 20+ dead.

UPDATE: Some of the witnesses are saying the shooters were Mexicans, not Muslim Arabs, and they threatened the crowd before the shooting. The competence and body count is in line with that suggestion.

UPDATE: Possible suspect: Geary Danley from Fayetteville, Arkansas​. He is married to Marilou Danley. Geary is a fan of the The Rachel Maddow Show​ and liked several pages on Facebook​ including Thank You Obama, Anti-Trump Army, Progressive Day, Organizing for Action, Not My President, Proud to Be A Democrat, Fight Trump, Boycott All Things Trump, and Impeach Trump.

UPDATE: The Las Vegas Police Department said the suspected gunman, who was believed to be a local resident, was on 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay hotel. Police responded to the scene, engaged him and he is now dead. Law enforcement officials identified the suspect as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock.

What losing the moral level looks like

Spain is losing the moral level of war in Catalonia. Badly. The Spanish can cry “the vote is illegal” all they like, but the Spanish government can no longer pretend to have democratic legitimacy in Catalonia or to be anything but an imperialist state governing an unwilling people by force. The vote is no longer even necessary at this point; world opinion is actively turning against Spain. Had Spain encouraged the vote and offered incentives for a No vote, it might well have won. But by fighting against it and resorting to violence – even well-restrained violence of the sort it has utilized thus far – it has significantly increased the likelihood that Catalans will vote for independence.

The Catalan regional government may well be a collection of economically ignorant fools. Democracy and rule by the will of the people may well be an illusion. But people have the right to be fools and billions of people believe in the idea that the reason their governments are legitimate is due to their foundation of democracy. A government punctures that illusion at its own risk. Remember, “the law” does not actually exist in any material sense. It is merely a collective agreement, which ceases to exist when a sufficient number of people unilaterally withdraw from it.

Catalonian update

Spain is pulling out all the stops to shut down the Catalonian vote on independence. To save democracy, one presumes.

CATALONIA REFERENDUM LATEST: Madrid pulls out all the stops to block independence vote

SPAIN has launched an all-out assault on the Catalan government with Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, the prosecutor’s office and the judiciary all making moves to block a binding referendum on independence on October 1.

An unprecedented combination of legal action, police deployments and economic sanctions are disrupting the effort to hold the vote which has been declared illegal by Spain’s Constitutional Court.

Police have been sent to hunt down ballot papers and materials related to the referendum, while media organisations have been warned not to broadcast official Catalan campaign advertisements related to the vote. More than a hundred websites related to the referendum have already been shut down by the authorities.

Madrid has also essentially taken over the regional executive’s finances to ensure that “not a single euro” is spent on the ballot. Banks have been ordered not to allow money transfers from Catalan government accounts without Madrid’s consent.

Catalonia’s High Court is investigating the entire Catalan Cabinet led by regional President Carles Puigdemont — as well as five regional lawmakers — on charges of disobedience, prevarication, and misuse of public funds.

Sounds legit. Clearly Madrid has the moral high ground here. After all, the Constitutional Court has spoken!

 Remember when the USA went to war so that purple-fingered Iraqis could vote? Why, I’m starting to wonder if the neo-liberal world order is not actually founded on the principles of self-determination and democracy after all!

THERE WILL BE WAR Volume VII

THERE WILL BE WAR is a landmark science fiction anthology series that combines top-notch military science fiction with factual essays by various generals and military experts on everything from High Frontier and the Strategic Defense Initiative to the aftermath of the Vietnam War. It featured some of the greatest military science fiction ever published, such Orson Scott Card’s “Ender’s Game” in Volume I, Joel Rosenberg’s “Cincinnatus” in Volume II, and Arthur C. Clarke’s “Hide and Seek” in Volume III . Many science fiction greats were featured in the original nine-volume series, which ran from 1982 to 1990, including Robert Heinlein, Arthur C. Clarke, Philip K. Dick, Gordon Dickson, Poul Anderson, John Brunner, Gregory Benford, Robert Silverberg, Harry Turtledove, and Ben Bova.

33 years later, Castalia House has joined with Dr. Jerry Pournelle to make this classic science fiction series available to the public again. THERE WILL BE WAR is a treasure trove of science fiction and history that will educate and amaze new readers while reminding old ones how much the world has changed over the last three decades. Most of the stories, like war itself, remain entirely relevant today.

THERE WILL BE WAR Volume VII is edited by Jerry Pournelle and John F. Carr, and features 20 stories, articles, and poems. Of particular note are “The Tank Lords” by David Drake, “Test for Tyrants” by Edward P. Hughes, “The Last Article” by Harry Turtledove, “Remember the Alamo” by T.R. Fehrenbach, and “Consequences” by Walter Jon Williams.

It was Jerry’s wish to not only revive the series, but bring all of the old editions back in print so they could be read by the two generations of younger readers who only had access to the old ones through used bookstores. It’s one of my regrets that Jerry did not live to see Castalia House get the entire series back into print, but I take some solace in the fact that he did see us get most of them out again and he knew we would complete the task with which he charged us.

With today’s release of Volume VII, we have only one to go to finish the series, and we anticipate doing so in October.
