The End of the Aircraft Carrier

World War II marked the end of the battleship. World War III is marking the end of the aircraft carrier:

Both of Britain’s aircraft carriers, which are said to serve as the backbone of the Royal Navy, would have major battlefield vulnerabilities in a potential conflict with a near-peer adversary, The Times reported on Friday, citing sources.

A defense source told the paper that the UK military had run a “whole load of scenarios” simulating a full-scale conflict, in which the navy’s “ability to survive” was tested against an “overwhelming force.” The war games, the details of which are secret, involved HMS Queen Elizabeth – the fleet’s current flagship – and HMS Prince of Wales, which were commissioned in 2017 and 2019, respectively.

Designed to project UK power across the globe, both vessels can carry up to 40 aircraft, including advanced F-35B Lightning II stealth fighters, and can host helicopters for anti-submarine warfare as well as troop transports. A Times source familiar with the situation admitted that “in most war games, the carriers get sunk,” adding that the ships are particularly vulnerable to missiles.

It’s interesting that Russia still hasn’t demonstrated its objections to British support and funding for Ukraine by sinking one of these white elephants. Whereas sinking a US Navy carrier would provoke an unnecessary hot war with the USA, what is Britain going to do? Send the other one to the Baltic? And further support for Ukraine isn’t a threat since it’s already provided its long-range missiles to Russia.

This development has been obvious for some time, but it’s fascinating to actually reach this point in history. It will also be interesting to see if any carriers are actually sunk or if the navies of the world will simply stop producing new ships and maintaining the existing ones.

The Charade of Canterbury

No one ever believed Justin Welby was infallible. But the extent to which he was fallible, and an abject failure as a supposedly “Christian” leader, was astonishing even by historical standards, as one of the worst bishops in the history of the Anglican Church resigns as Archbishop of Canterbury:

The Archbishop of Canterbury resigned today after Sir Keir Starmer said the victims of the Church’s most prolific child abuser were let down ‘very, very badly’.

Justin Welby said he was standing down after a damning report found his failure to act meant that ‘abhorrent’ serial abuser John Smyth was never brought to justice.

In a statement, Dr Welby said: “Having sought the gracious permission of His Majesty The King, I have decided to resign as Archbishop of Canterbury. The Makin Review has exposed the long-maintained conspiracy of silence about the heinous abuses of John Smyth. When I was informed in 2013 and told that police had been notified, I believed wrongly that an appropriate resolution would follow. It is very clear that I must take personal and institutional responsibility for the long and retraumatising period between 2013 and 2024.”

Allowing women to become bishops and openly supporting their ordination was just the most obvious of his many errors of leadership. And the idea that, as the head of the organization, he could simply leave Church discipline to the state police was not only downright risible but caused every clerical grave in England to begin rotating rapidly. It’s not an accident that the same sort of Churchian leaders who support female leaderships are so reliably tied to a) supporting aberrant sexuality, b) endorsing unrepentant sin, c) refusing to hold the guilty accountable for their crimes, and d) sex crimes.

Whatever creatures like this Welby truly worship, it is observably not Jesus Christ.

An Irrelevant Ex-Empire

The UK military is totally incapable of war:

The UK military is unprepared to fight in a major conflict and would not be able to deter the enemy if a war breaks out now, British Defense Secretary John Healey has acknowledged. The British army, navy and air force have been “hollowed out” and “underfunded” during the 14 years of the Conservative Party’s rule, Healey said in his appearance on Politico’s Power Play podcast on Thursday. When the UK Labour Party came to power in July, “we expected things to be in a poor state – but the state of the finances, the state of the forces, was far worse than we thought,” he added.

The UK military failed to stop the invasion by millions of foreigners. It has no air defenses worth speaking of. It isn’t capable of stopping a violent insurrection by its resident invaders, much less anything that Russia should elect to do in response to the UK government’s fanning the flames of war in Ukraine.

Those who believed nuclear weapons meant an end to war never considered the inevitable development of anti-missile technology; the small size of the UK’s “nuclear deterrent force” means that if the Russians can’t already shoot it down with lasers and hypersonic missile defense systems – both of which are already in development – they will be able to do so soon.

The UK never had much in the war of ground forces, which were always intended to provide the balance of power on the continent. But now, with both the French and the German militaries but a shadow of their former selves, there is literally nothing to prevent Russia from accomplishing whatever it decides is in its national interest. Fortunately, and contra the neocon warmongering, none of the BRICS powers are showing any interest in following the self-destructive leads of the UK and the USA into empire.

The Next British Scandal

Something is going on with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer that the media is presently dancing around.

So we have a name, as do the Mail and the Telegraph, we have a birth certificate and people have been
looking into it. People been contacted. Journalists have contacted the family, so it’s in play and a lot of people do know it, but we have not been able to substantiate it to to the degree that you need to to
publish.

I’m no insider where British politics are concerned, but I heard rumors that the Prime Minister wasn’t even living with his wife, but was living with his other family until not long before the most recent electoral election began. But regardless of the how and why, it’s pretty clear that Starmer is a creature of Clown World.

New Values in London

Import people from a rape culture, increase the daily incidence of rape. How is this difficult to grasp?

There is one rape reported every hour in London, according to police data published on Friday. Almost 8,800 cases were handled in 2023, which is an average of 24 each day.

The figures, obtained by state broadcaster the BBC through Freedom of Information requests, show a further 11,000 reports of other sexual offences.

The totals increased by 14% over the last five years to almost 20,000 in 2023, which means that sexual violence or rape was reported to police every 26 and a half minutes, on average.

Charities concerned with protecting children and women against sexual violence said the true extent of such incidents is far higher.

One would think women would be the strongest opponents of immigration, given the inevitable consequences. But apparently widespread rape is a small price to pay for the dopamine hit of knowing that you’re a good person because you welcomed the refugees.

Or maybe their pet economists have determined that rape is good for the economy or something. Either way, Clown World is observably pushing it on everyone from Sweden to Japan. And you really have to hate women if you still support mass immigration.

They Always Kill the Golden Goose

It’s truly amazing that more than 100 years after economists formally discovered the concept of declining marginal returns, the rulers of Clown World continue to insist on driving a nation’s most successful entrepreneurs out of the country.

Britain’s richest plumber has put his £12million London penthouse on the market as he prepares to flee Britain ahead of a mooted Labour tax raid. Charlie Mullins, who founded Pimlico Plumbers, has said he wants to have ‘no assets in the UK whatsoever’ and intends on not paying tax next year as he leaves the country.

The 71-year-old, who made £145million when he sold his firm in 2021, had moved into the property the same year after falling in love with the view over the River Thames. But now he wants to get rid of the flat, which neighbours an apartment owned by Tom Jones, insisting that his family would ‘go mad’ if they had to pay inheritance tax because of it.

The businessman said he is concerned the new chancellor Rachel Reeves will increase death taxes and is instead ploughing his money into property in Spain and Dubai… Henley & Partners, which helps wealthy investors to move overseas, estimates that Britain is on track to lose a record 9,500 millionaires this year

Of course, this seeming stupidity is probably much more accurately attributed to economically-informed malice. If destroying the nation is the objective, then impoverishing it and driving out the nation’s most successful entrepreneurs away is going to be viewed as a positive.

That’s literally all it will take. But it might be beyond him anyhow.

Weimar Britain

And no, this isn’t a result of Brexit. Germany is in even worse shape. But regardless, it is clear that the decision to back Ukraine has been a fatal one for the British economy, the coming collapse of which is becoming increasingly obvious in the wake of Ukraine’s recent defaulting on its massive debt:

22 July 2024: we have a deal!
Almost as soon as Zelensky’s visit in London concluded, the Government of Ukraine announced that a deal was reached with its main bondholders to restructure the country’s near-$20 billion worth of bonds, including a 37% reduction of the amounts owed. But this was only “an agreement, in principle,” reached with an “ad-hoc creditor committee,” and it wasn’t binding on all the bondholders. Instead, it imposed on Ukraine’s government “the Restructuring as soon as practicable,” to be implemented through a “consent solicitation.” In other words, Ukraine was expected to chase after its creditors and beg them to accept the deal, even offering them a 1.25% “consent fee.” Well, things were about to take a sharp turn for the worse…

24 July 2024: Ukraine strikes the Fitch iceberg
Only two days after Ukraine announced the deal with their bondholders, Fitch downgraded Ukraine’s credit rating from CC to C, reflecting extreme credit risk reserved for countries that “entered default or default-like process.” Significantly, Fitch made it explicit that “the publication of sovereign reviews is subject to restrictions and must take place according to a published schedule…”

What’s peculiar about the British financial system is that the taxpayers are obliged to reimburse the Bank of England for any losses it sustains on its balance sheet assets. If the price of gilts on the bank’s balance sheet collapses, British taxpayers must cover those losses and make the bank whole. So, what kind of money are we talking about? As the the FT reported last July, the BOE has estimated it will require the Treasury to transfer a total of £150 billion by 2033 to cover expected losses on the central bank’s quantitative easing program.

So how much is £150 billion? Provided that things haven’t deteriorated since July 2023 (they have), we’re talking £2,240 per man, woman and child in Britain. Stand and deliver: that’s the ransom that the BOE is claiming from them! But given that the British workforce is only about half the population, and that private enterprise accounts for less than 55% of the British GDP, this sum represents nearly £10,000 per employee working in the private sector.

In all, the situation is impossible and all the cabinet reshuffles and cosmetic patches changed nothing of substance in the UK; they amounted to a sort of rearranging the deck-chairs on the Titanic as the ship is already sinking.

Translation: Ukraine is bankrupt and can’t even pretend that it’s going to repay all of its massive war-related debts after defeating the Russians. The economic collapse of the Ukrainian government will lead to a political collapse and the military collapse of its armed forces; Russia’s increasingly rapid advances in the Donbass are in part due to the beginning stages of the latter. And the surrender of Ukraine may lead directly to the economic collapse of Britain as well as several countries inside the EU, most likely those most deeply invested in Ukraine, which includes the Baltics, Germany, and Poland.

This is the genius of Putin’s patient multi-front attritional strategy and why he has an economist running the Russian Ministry of Defense. He never needed to bomb Britain or Berlin in order to comprehensively defeat them. And as for the USA, well, China and Iran are taking the lead with regards to the Clown World’s major stronghold.

Kursk was a UK Operation

Andrei Martynov and others have gradually come to the conclusion that the US military was actually not involved in the debacle of the Kursk invasion:

Many online commentators were surprised when footage of the Challenger 2 in action in Kursk began to circulate widely on August 13th. Furthermore, numerous mainstream outlets dramatically drew attention to the tank’s deployment. Several were explicitly briefed by British military sources that it marked the first time in history London’s tanks “have been used in combat on Russian territory.” Disquietingly, The Times now reveals this was a deliberate propaganda and lobbying strategy, spearheaded by Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Prior to the Challenger 2’s presence in Kursk breaking, Starmer and Defence Secretary John Healey had reportedly “been in talks about how far to go to confirm growing British involvement in the incursion towards Kursk.” Ultimately, they decided “to be more open about Britain’s role in a bid to persuade key allies to do more to help – and convince the public that Britain’s security and economic prosperity is affected by events on the fields of Ukraine.” A “senior Whitehall source” added:

“There won’t be shying away from the idea of British weapons being used in Russia as part of Ukraine’s defence. We don’t want any uncertainty or nervousness over Britain’s support at this critical moment and a half-hearted or uncertain response might have indicated that.”

In other words, London is taking the lead in marking itself out as a formal belligerent in the proxy war, in the hope other Western countries – particularly the US – will follow suit. What’s more, The Times strongly hints that Kursk is to all intents and purposes a British invasion. The outlet records:

“Unseen by the world, British equipment, including drones, have played a central role in Ukraine’s new offensive and British personnel have been closely advising the Ukrainian military…on a scale matched by no other country.”

Britain’s grand plans don’t stop there. Healey and Foreign Secretary David Lammy “have set up a joint Ukraine unit,” divided between the Foreign Office and Ministry of Defence. The pair “held a joint briefing, with officials, for a cross-party group of 60 MPs on Ukraine,” while “Starmer has also asked the National Security Council to draw up plans to provide Ukraine with a broader range of support.” On top of military assistance, “industrial, economic, and diplomatic support” are also being explored.

It’s becoming more and more obvious that Martyanov’s observation that neither the British nor the US militaries have any idea of how to fight a war on this scale was spot-on. How the British think they can fund, plan, and help execute attacks on Russian soil without the world endorsing Russian reprisals on British soil is entirely beyond me. I mean, there is no amount of conceptual redefining and word magic that is going to defend these clearly belligerent actions and redefine them as non-belligerent.

The only thing I can come up with is that Britain is playing the same game with Russia that Israel is playing with Iran, which is “Mom, He Hit Me First”, in the hopes that provoking a reprisal will commit the USA to fighting the war for them. Unfortunately, neither the British nor the Israelis appear to understand that the global superpower days are over and the USA is no longer capable of successfully fighting Russia in Russia or Iran in Iran.

An Insoluble Problem

The BBC is never going to keep itself out of the headlines, not as long as it limits its staff to the anti-traditional, the degenerate, and the diverse:

I want to acknowledge that this has been a demanding period for the BBC and everyone who works within it.

The shocking news about Huw Edwards and other stories, concerning some of our high profile shows, have put the BBC in the spotlight. It can be challenging for us all when the BBC becomes the headline. We work for this wonderful organisation because we care about what it stands for and the role it plays in society.

I know we have all felt let down and worried about the impact on the BBC. However, we hold ourselves to the highest standards and we know there will be lessons we can learn to ensure we have the strongest possible workplace culture.

Just wait. There will be more. There will always be more, because they’re not actually against most of it. They just don’t want the British public to know that.
