Iowa Democrats are desperate to to find out how they’ll be manipulated and misrepresented by their national counterparts in the caucuses tonight:

Underlying the bold pronouncements, campaigns and voters acknowledged a palpable sense of unpredictability and anxiety as Democrats begin selecting which candidate to send on to a November face-off with President Donald Trump. The Democratic race is unusually large and jumbled heading into Monday’s caucus. Four candidates were locked in a fight for victory in Iowa; others were in position to pull off surprisingly strong finishes.

“This is going to go right down to the last second,” said Symone Sanders, a senior adviser to Biden’s campaign.

Polls show Biden in a close race in Iowa with Sanders, Warren and Buttigieg. Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar and tech entrepreneur Andrew Yang are also competing aggressively in the state.

Democrats’ deep disdain for Trump has put many in the party on edge about the decision. A series of external forces has also heightened the sense of unpredictability in Iowa, including Trump’s impeachment trial in the Senate, which marooned Warren, Sanders and Klobuchar in Washington for much of the past week.

Many campaigns were looking to a final weekend poll to provide some measure of clarity. But late Saturday night, CNN and The Des Moines Register opted not to release the survey because of worries the results may have been compromised.

New caucus rules have also left the campaigns working in overdrive to set expectations before the contest. For the first time, the Iowa Democratic Party will release three sets of results: who voters align with at the start of the night; who they pick after voters supporting nonviable candidates get to make a second choice; and the number of state delegate equivalents each candidate gets.

Both national establishments manipulate and screw over their grass roots. But it’s particularly interesting to observe it when the national establishment isn’t sure of its direction. The one thing we can be fairly certain of is that Bernie Sanders will not be the beneficiary. He is to the current Democratic Party what Ron Paul was to the pre-Trump Republican Party. The problem is that the Democrats still haven’t settled on their Mitt Romney.

UPDATE: Mike Cernovich reports the results of the spiked final Iowa poll. Looks like things are going south fast for Creepy Joe.

• 22 percent Sanders
• 18 percent Warren
• 16 percent Buttigieg
• 13 percent Biden

The Des Moines Register inexplicably refuses to release its final poll before the Iowa caucuses:

The Des Moines Register, CNN and Selzer & Co. have made the decision to not release the final installment of the CNN/Des Moines Register/Mediacom poll as planned this evening.

Nothing is more important to the Register and its polling partners than the integrity of the Iowa Poll. Today, a respondent raised an issue with the way the survey was administered, which could have compromised the results of the poll. It appears a candidate’s name was omitted in at least one interview in which the respondent was asked to name their preferred candidate.

While this appears to be isolated to one surveyor, we cannot confirm that with certainty. Therefore, the partners made the difficult decision to not to move forward with releasing the Iowa Poll.

Sanders was shown leading by as much as four points in the previous poll. The pollster with the best track record, had him five points ahead of Creepy Joe.

Selzer’s most recent poll, conducted Jan. 2-8, showed Sanders at 20 percent, Warren at 17 percent, Buttigieg at 16 percent and Biden at 15 percent. 

And “subsequent reports said that Pete Buttigieg’s name had either been accidentally omitted or mispronounced by a poll worker during at least one call.” Yeah, because that would have totally altered the results….

It’s obvious that the Democrats desperately want to avoid throwing a decrepit jewish socialist up against the God-Emperor Donald I. As wicked and stupid as they are, even they understand that will end in disaster as blacks and Hispanics either stay home or vote for the only candidate they can possibly respect.

Buttigieg and Klobuchar are nonentities. Biden is as hapless as he is hopeless. Sanders is more obviously unelectable than Dukakis or Mondale ever were. Warren has been unable to generate enthusiasm. They have no one to stop the inevitable Trumpslide 2020.

It’s been a bit of a mystery why the media and the Deep State have been so desperate to keep Eric Ciaramella’s name out of the press and the impeachment hearings. Greg Rubini suggested a possible explanation in a twitter thread.

The SNIPERS were professional mercenaries. They were hired and paid to do that job. Their assigned job was to KILL about 100 people. They had been given precise instructions. Hired and paid BY WHOM?

Why 100 people had to be brutally killed? Because the CIA Director John Brennan and Victoria Nuland (State Dept.) wanted 100 people killed. That would trigger a Coup d’Etat in Ukraine. Which in fact happened.

Eric Ciaramella was assigned that task by the CIA Director John Brennan. Brennan was the CIA Director at that tme, in 2014. And Eric Ciaramella was, and is, a CIA Operative. He was Brennan’s CIA point man in Ukraine, in 2014.

Obviously, there is no way to know if this is true or not, but the facts about the massacre in Kiev are generally correct and the Ukrainian government was falsely blamed for the shootings before it was toppled in the “color revolution” coup in which the Obama State Department invested $5 billion. And the involvement of corrupt U.S. officials, both before and after the coup, is one of the things that the Deep State is now so desperate to hide from the American public.

Given the likelihood that Russian intelligence has a complete record of everything that happened and everyone involved, and that they have provided that information to the Trump administration, it should not surprise us to see signs of the Deep State thrashing around and lashing out as the noose continues to close in around it.

John Roberts is breaking Senate protocol by refusing to read a senator’s question for fear that it will identify the whistleblower behind the impeachment debacle:

Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-Ky.) attempt to ask about the whistleblower whose report helped spark the impeachment inquiry is running into a roadblock in the form of Chief Justice John Roberts.

A source confirmed that Roberts has indicated he would not read a question from Paul regarding the whistleblower at the center of the House impeachment inquiry.

The question from Paul is expected to name the individual. Because Roberts is responsible for reading the questions that would put him in the position of publicly outing the person on the Senate floor.

Paul indicated to reporters after a closed-door Republican dinner that he was not backing down from trying to ask his question.

The sad thing is that Roberts appears to be such a Boy Scout that no one would probably even care about whatever it is they have on him that they are using for control. Then again, appearances can be deceiving, and perhaps he is a full-blown Promethean infantivore.

I knew that the Democrats were going to throw a sacrificial lamb at the feet of the god-emperor, but I assumed it would be a woman of color, not an elderly socialist jew.

One week before the Iowa caucuses, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is growing in strength and increasingly looks like the favorite to win the Democratic nomination.

Polling in Iowa is still tight and shows a four-candidate race between Sanders, former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg, making it clear the first-in-the-nation caucus battle remains anyone’s game.

Yet it is also clear that Sanders has a strong chance of coming out on top in Iowa, as well as in New Hampshire, which will vote just a week later. Such a result would make him the clear front-runner, and would likely unnerve parts of the Democratic Party uneasy about the progressive independent being their standard-bearer in the fall.

No wonder the Democrats are getting increasingly desperate. If Sanders is their candidate, President Trump might win both the Black and Hispanic votes.

Everyone on both sides is perfectly aware that the impeachment is Fake News, which is why no one is interested in the “historic” event:

The Senate spectator gallery was at least half-empty throughout the first week of President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial and senators serving as the jury in the marathon sessions are taking notice — some stunned that there aren’t more people watching history unfold, while others understand the public avoiding the repetitive proceedings.

“I’m really surprised at that because this is kind of historic and I would think this would be an opportunity for people to get in there regardless of whose side you are on,” Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) told The Post Friday.

So, the Democrats lied about a lot of things, nothing is going to happen, and no one is going to pay any attention to stories about how you were there. And, on top of all that, it requires listening to a bunch of old people blathering on and on. There is literally nothing to appeal to anyone.

I’m surprised the gallery is anywhere close to being half-full.

He may have miscalculated when he broke with Movimento 5 Stelle last year in pushing for an election that never happened, but Matteo Salvini is still the most popular politician in Italy and La Lega is a ruling party in waiting:

Luigi Di Maio has resigned as leader of the anti-establishment Five Star Movement in a step that will shake up Italian politics and prompt fears of a snap election after months of internal party dissent and coalition infighting.

“It is time to rebuild,” Di Maio said in a speech in Rome confirming his departure as M5s leader. He added that he had worked to grow the movement “and protect it from the profiteers and traps along the way,” but “I have completed my task” and others must now step in to take on the role.

Despite his resignation, Di Maio insisted he remains fully committed to the party, and said the government “must go on” and have time to fix “the mess made by those who governed for 30 years before.”

Earlier, ministers of the co-governing Five Star Movement (M5S) met to discuss strategy ahead of crucial regional elections in Emilia Romagna and Calabria, where the party is expected to face defeat to the right-wing League party led by Matteo Salvini. The 33-year-old insurgent politician is expected to remain on as foreign minister for the coalition government which looks to be on increasingly shaky ground. 

The nationalist forces are rising and are stronger than ever. That’s why the global imperialists, from Scotland to Lampedusa, are desperately trying to avoid elections by hook, crook, or previously unthinkable political alliances.

Republicans’ plan for Senate trial of Donald Trump are revealed hours before it begins at 1pm Tuesday. Mitch McConnell wants each side given 24 hours spread over two days to make their case – the Democrats for impeaching and removing, Trump for acquittal. If he gets his way, Democrats could start spelling out why they want Trump removed at 1pm on Wednesday. Planned schedule could put ‘docket rocket’ trial on track to end before Trump delivers the State of the Union address. Nobody will be allowed to subpoena witnesses or documents until after each side has made their case and 16 hours of questions have been asked.

Minority leader Chuck Schumer took aim at the moves calling it a national disgrace and said it was not following the precedent in Bill Clinton’s trial. Plans offer apparent victory for Donald Trump – but will not explicitly allow him to demand instant dismissal of the two articles of impeachment.

Apparently they don’t have enough on enough Republican senators to slow down the Storm. Looks like everything is still under Qontrol.

UPDATE: It’s not going well for the Senate Democrats.

Democrats LOSE their first three battles of Donald Trump’s impeachment trial as Republicans block subpoena after subpoena – but Chuck Schumer vows to keep demanding witnesses long into the night.

Democrats in the Senate are desperately pushing for a rigged process:

On the eve of President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial, the Senate leader proposed a compressed calendar for opening statements, White House lawyers argued for swift rejection of the “flimsy” charges and the Capitol braced for the contentious proceedings unfolding in an election year.

Final trial preparations were underway Monday on a tense day of plodding developments with Trump’s legacy — and the judgment of both parties in Congress — at stake.

The president’s legal team, in its first full filing for the impeachment court, argued that Trump did “absolutely nothing wrong” and urged the Senate to swiftly reject the “flawed″ case against him.

“All of this is a dangerous perversion of the Constitution that the Senate should swiftly and roundly condemn,” the president’s lawyers wrote. “The articles should be rejected and the president should immediately be acquitted.”

The brief from the White House, and the House Democratic response, comes as the Senate could be facing 12-hour sessions for the rare Senate trial, with some of the very senators running to replace Trump as president sitting as jurors.

It will be interesting to see if the Democrats still want to drag this out as it becomes clear that the whole effort is tending to work against them. But then, as the rumored leak about Adam Schiff tends to suggest, they may not have any choice in the matter as those identified by Q as criminals are desperate to stop the god-emperor’s Storm.

Even CNN is throwing in the towel. Van Jones is without hope:

As a progressive, to see those two [Warren and Sanders] have that level of vitriol was very dispiriting. And I want to say that tonight for me was dispiriting. Democrats got to do better than what we saw tonight. There was nothing I saw tonight that would be able to take Donald Trump out, and I want to see a Democrat in the White House as soon as possible.

It doesn’t matter who the Wall Street-Devil Mouse-Hollywood-Academia alliance line up behind. Trumpslide 2020 is in the cards and on the way.
