The Trumpslide cometh

There will be no “blue wave”. The Republicans will hold the House and Senate. And this sort of political campaign is why.

All the SJWs exclaim, “What a beautiful family!” Meanwhile, all the civilized people shake their heads at the degraded state of the USA and vote for anyone or anything that stands against it.

The ad includes the Maryland Democrat talking about how he plans to stand up to Trump and lists several things he has already done to ‘infuriate’ the President.

‘What’s the number one way I p**s off Donald Trump and the Republicans?’ he asks before kissing his husband Mark Hodge on the lips.

He then says: ‘Take that, Trump!’

The couple’s two children, Katie and Jackson, are also featured in the ad as they sit on the front lawn outside their home. The ad also includes Madaleno talking about how he has stood up to Trump’s agenda by defending Planned Parenthood and supporting an assault weapons ban.

Democrats proudly stand for gays, blacks, murdering children, and disarming the American people. That’s a pretty good platform against which to run.

St. George shrugged

I was amused to hear about these two English gentlemen, who simply walked away and left a strong independent woman to fend for herself on the London Underground.

Tamara Cincik, founder and CEO of Fashion Roundtable, attacked on busy Tube. Mother-of-one kicked and threatened by an ‘unwell’ 6ft man as passengers fled. She has slammed two ‘white middle class men’ who left her to defend herself.

The fashion CEO is keen to stress she does not blame this man, who she believes needs medical help but said the incident was ‘terrifying’. Instead she is upset that two men she describes as ‘white and middle class’ chose not to help and moved to another carriage.

Ms Cincik said: ‘Children were crying and women were crying, it was awful. I wasn’t crying I was in shock. I remain more angry with those white middle class men who left me to it. As fathers, husbands and sons they should be ashamed of themselves.’

Why should they be ashamed? They did nothing of which to be ashamed. She isn’t their daughter, wife, or mother. They had no obligation to risk being injured or having the polish on their shoes scuffed for her. She’s lucky that they didn’t simply sit there and laugh at her, as the younger generation of white men are increasingly inclined to do. Women have spent the last fifty years telling white men that everything is their fault and that they are both unneeded and unwanted. Women broke the socio-sexual contract, which is why many white men quite reasonably feel absolutely no duty to look out for women, children, or anyone else for whom they are not directly responsible.

Of course, African and Asian men never have. Isn’t it wonderful that white women have successfully convinced white men to adopt non-European cultural values! Diversity truly is a wonder.

Given her subsequent reaction, those two men were absolutely right to leave this woman to take her beating. She’s a typical left-wing idiot, blaming the men who had no obligation to her but letting the man who actually attacked her off the hook. Had they done anything, she probably would have screamed at them for hurting the poor, harmless crazy man.

Melinda Gates is another white woman for whom no self-respecting white man will ever lift a finger.

I am specifically looking at funds who over-index on women-led and minority-led businesses. I’m asking a lot of business questions about how they will go about their funding, how they will over-index on women’s businesses, and how they will hold themselves accountable for a great return.

Some of these big firms often believe in the white guy in a hoodie disrupting a whole industry. So we’re going to disrupt it by making sure we’re indexing for women and minorities because they’ve got great ideas.

Many of them think if they have one female at the table, they’ve done their job. Another big one is when they say that they have trouble finding women. Those are just excuses. They don’t know what investing in these areas looks like until they get several women who are partners in their firm.

Meanwhile, her husband’s former company is now an Indian concern, thanks in part to “over-indexing”, which is the approved new pseudonym for “affirmative action”.

Mailvox: Identity and apocalypse

A reader writes about his recent observations concerning identity:

During a recent get-together to play games one of my friends who is a racial mix of white and Latino (racially and ethnically) expressed his angst about identifying with either group. He asked if we (all white) thought he could pass as a Mexican, while we thought he could it’s the Mexicans who matter and not us.

It’s a normal question to wonder about your origins, but this seemed out of place to me and an odd thing to ask. It got me thinking about some others on VP who are mixed races and asking “What about me?”. The difference here though is that we weren’t having a conversation about race and the was out of the blue. I think he spoke for millions of mixed race Americans who know that something big is coming even if they don’t know what is coming.

For everyone outside of the US let me make something very clear, the racial situation in America is a complete mess. Just a few years ago it was “I see no color” to… well… I don’t know. It’s everything from voluntary segregation is good, to bad, to picking your own race or denying your own race, to everything in-between. A good example is an article I read the other day about a company who had the races break out into groups by race to discuss racial tensions in the office. A very obviously black girl refused to go to the black group as she was raised around whites, and said she had nothing to do with black culture. She proudly walked right into the white group. The black woman running the groups didn’t know what to do, so let her do it, but didn’t agree with her decision.

So an apocalypse of some type is on the way. The nature of it is unknown, but people can sense it.

If you ever talk to someone who thinks the current situation is going to work simply ask them for the successful model from history the US should emulate. They cannot and will not provide one.

The irony, of course, is it that it is whites who deny the irrefutable reality of identity politics who are usually the fastest to play the card of whatever identity-complication they can claim, whether it is an adopted black nephew, a transmogrified child, or a Japanese friend.

And yet the population grows

As US birth rates continue to fall:

The number of babies being born in the United States continues to fall, with the birth rate reaching a new record low in 2017, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Last year, about 3.8 million babies were born in the U.S., which is 2 percent lower than the number born in 2016, and the lowest recorded number of births in 30 years, according to the report.

What’s more, there were about 60 births per 1,000 women ages 15 to 44, which is 3 percent lower than the rate in 2016, and the lowest recorded rate since the government started tracking birth rates in 1909.

This is the real reason for the sterile and secular Left’s staunch devotion to immigration. Without it, the fertile religious Right would outnumber it completely in two generations. So, they have recruited alien mercenaries to buy themselves time and keep themselves in the game.

Unfortunately, foolish cuckservatives have embraced the Left’s immigrationist rhetoric and are actively cooperating in their own marginalization.

Want to win the cultural war? Get married, have kids, and homeschool them.

Foundation follies

The NGO class is comprised of high-level financial predators who have refined the art of capturing and converging new foundations and charities in order to control the resources they contain, as they’ve been doing this for more than 100 years. Not even the Left is safe from their rapacious predations:

In the Democratic Party’s reckoning following the election of Donald Trump, an unlikely feud has erupted inside an organization at the heart of the progressive movement. Earlier this year, the board of directors of Wellstone Action — an influential training group formed after Paul Wellstone’s death — dumbfounded Minnesota Democrats when it voted the late senator’s sons off the governing board.

Founded after Wellstone’s death in a plane crash in 2002, Wellstone Action has trained thousands of progressive candidates, campaign operatives and community organizers throughout the country, with alumni serving in local and state offices and in the U.S. House. In 2016, the last year for which tax filings are available, the group reported providing training to 2,135 data and digital strategists, 723 nonprofit leaders and community organizers, and 854 aspiring political leaders.

David Wellstone and other Democrats close to his father began objecting last year to what David Wellstone described as Wellstone Action’s abandonment of disaffected Democrats in the rural Midwest — the rural poor were an early focus of the late senator — with an increasingly narrow focus on gender politics and people of color.

“I said, ‘After Trump, we’ve got to figure out how we are going to go back after those Democrats that we lost,” David Wellstone said. “We can do all the stuff we do. We do great stuff on communities of color; we’re doing great stuff on gender identity politics. But we need to do some of these other trainings. … Nobody wanted to have a discussion about that.”

In a prepared statement, Connie Lewis, chairwoman of the Wellstone Action board, said the group’s “mission has not changed.” But the group’s staff and board of directors appeared to suggest a shift in the progressive movement since Paul Wellstone’s death, asserting in a statement on its website that “a lot has changed over the last fifteen years” and that “the progressive movement also looks different today than it did when we first started.”

If you’re a high-wealth individual, the world would be much better off if you left all your money to your cats or simply set it on fire instead of putting it into a trust or charitable foundation. It took the predators just 16 years to capture the Wellstone Foundation, and they did so despite the man’s own sons being on the board. It doesn’t matter how clever you think you are or what preparations you make, they’ve been doing it a lot longer than you’ve been alive and all it takes is one weak director to be bribed, bullied, or otherwise convinced to start packing the board with their people.

Test-optionality

That’s one way to avoid the merit-based IQ showdown that is looming at the elite universities. Get rid of the tests:

There are now well over 1,000 colleges and universities that don’t require SAT or ACT scores in deciding whom to admit, a number that’s growing every year. And a new study finds that scores on those tests are of little value in predicting students’ performance in college, and raises the question: Should those tests be required at all?

Colleges that have gone “test optional” enroll — and graduate — a higher proportion of low-income and first generation-students, and more students from diverse backgrounds, the researchers found in the study, Defining Access: How Test-Optional Works.

“Our research clearly demonstrates that these students graduate often at a higher rate,” said Steve Syverson, an assistant vice chancellor at the University of Washington Bothell, and co-author of the study.

“When a college considers going test-optional, one of the first reactions that people, including alumni, feel is that the college will be admitting less qualified students,” he added. Syverson says the study should reassure admissions officials who’ve decided to go test-optional.

Syverson and his team of researchers studied 28 public and private institutions that no longer require test scores, and tracked about 956,000 individual student records.

Students like Ian Haimowitz, a sophomore at George Washington University, a test-optional school in Washington D.C.

He says in the beginning, he felt like a fish out of water.

“I know for a fact I’m the first Nicaraguan-American, the first Latino, the first Jewish Latino that a lot of kids meet,” he says.

He adds that when he arrived at GW, he looked around and asked himself, “What am I doing here with kids who went to private schools and got the best education possible?”

It was a very different world than he grew up in back in New Mexico.

“I remember my freshman year of high school, I didn’t have a math teacher. Maybe that’s why you see in my test score that I didn’t have a good grounding in math. But I believed my potential was still there.”

Ian was a straight-A student in high school, but his SAT scores were so low he didn’t think any top tier school would accept him. He says not having to submit his test scores opened the doors to a top selective school.

We can safely expect the Ivy League schools to try to get rid of objective testing as soon as possible, before it becomes obvious that there have been some very heavy thumbs on the admissions process at all of their institutions.

Christianity is not an option

Strange, that Rod Dreher seems to think so, but he doesn’t grasp that it is only the foundation built upon the rock that will stand:

I heard from a friend this morning who told me a story about a family we both know. A solid white working-class family. In the youngest generation, they’ve started falling apart in a way that will be hard to fix. It’s the usual Charles Murray Coming Apart thing: the loss of being bound by a sense of religious or traditional moral obligation, followed by a loss of a sense of the importance of marriage, especially for childbearing, and on down the line. Maybe they’ll pull out of this spiral, but odds are against them. I would bet money that some of them are thinking of the trouble they’re in as something that just happened to them. It’s like people who live in a nice house, but who wake up one day to discover that the yard has turned into a jungle of weeds, and the roof is leaking, and termites have eaten out the walls … and they wonder who came overnight and destroyed their nice house….

No social species can survive if its men (and women) are too drugged out and undisciplined to hold a job. No social species can survive if its people cannot make the adaptive imperatives that Wade Davis says all cultures must make. My dad was a civil servant and my mother was a school bus driver. My folks never had much money, and were, as I see now, living much closer to the edge than they let us know as kids. They didn’t want to burden us with anxiety. I also understand why my father instinctively imprinted the same taboos on his children. His basic code was:

  • Work hard, and above all things esteem those who do
  • Respect yourself and those around you, especially your elders
  • That means dress up for church, say “yes ma’am” and “yes sir,” “please” and “thank you,” and keep a clean yard
  • Be honest and fair
  • Do not lie, and that means in all things be true to your word
  • Be generous to others, but never expect anybody to give you anything
  • Kids need mamas and daddies, but a mama and/or a daddy who puts their own interests above doing right by their kids are of no account
  • Do not keep company with people who don’t believe these things and live by them, because they will only bring you down

You will note that “God” is not in this list. He believed in God, but his God was pretty much the transcendent guarantor of this code, and nothing more.

The problem is that there are too many who want to cut down the tree but keep living in the tree house. They don’t understand that it simply isn’t going to float there in the air by itself, but without the tree, it will fall to the ground, be smashed to bits, and badly harm everyone inside it. This is not a mystery. The descent of the modernists is the descent into post-Christianity and societal self-destruction. And the fact that the modernists are opposed to their natural successors, the post-modernists, does not make them on our side.

The dysgenic city

Freeman Dyson explains why cities, and indirectly, interracial relationships, are inherently dysgenic:

If a small population is inbreeding, the rate of drift of the average measure of any human capability scales with the inverse square root of the population. Big fluctuations of the average happen in isolated villages far more often than in cities. On the average, people in villages are not more capable than people in cities. But if ten million people are divided into a thousand genetically isolated villages, there is a good chance that one lucky village will have a population with outstandingly high average capability, and there is a good chance that an inbreeding population with high average capability produces an occasional bunch of geniuses in a short time. The effect of genetic isolation is even stronger if the population of the village is divided by barriers of rank or caste or religion. Social snobbery can be as effective as geography in keeping people from spreading their genes widely.

A substantial fraction of the population of Europe and the Middle East in the time between 1000 BC and 1800 AD lived in genetically isolated villages, so that genetic drift may have been the most important factor making intellectual revolutions possible. Places where intellectual revolutions happened include, among many others, Jerusalem around 800 BC (the invention of monotheistic religion), Athens around 500 BC (the invention of drama and philosophy and the beginnings of science), Venice around 1300 AD (the invention of modern commerce), Florence around 1600 (the invention of modern science), and Manchester around 1750 (the invention of modern industry).

These places were all villages, with populations of a few tens of thousands, divided into tribes and social classes with even smaller populations. In each case, a small starburst of geniuses emerged from a small inbred population within a few centuries, and changed our ways of thinking irreversibly. These eruptions have many historical causes. Cultural and political accidents may provide unusual opportunities for young geniuses to exploit. But the appearance of a starburst must be to some extent a consequence of genetic drift. The examples that I mentioned all belong to Western cultures. No doubt similar starbursts of genius occurred in other cultures, but I am ignorant of the details of their history.

West’s neglect of villages as agents of change raises an important question. How likely is it that significant numbers of humans will choose to remain in genetically isolated communities in centuries to come?

You know the current situation is becoming entirely unsustainable when both the traditional religious perspective and the secular scientific perspective are increasingly in alignment concerning the pressing need to eliminate big cities.

Ironically, despite the 20th century being known for eugenicism, it may prove to be the biggest experiment in dysgenics that Man will ever know. The Alt-Right is not only scientodific, it is apparently necessary for future human achievement, if not survival.

The 11 percent metric

Modern science is actually less reliable than flipping a coin. The Wall Street Journal reports on scientific efforts to address the reproducibility crisis:

Half the results published in peer-reviewed scientific journals are probably wrong. John Ioannidis, now a professor of medicine at Stanford, made headlines with that claim in 2005. Since then, researchers have confirmed his skepticism by trying—and often failing—to reproduce many influential journal articles. Slowly, scientists are internalizing the lessons of this irreproducibility crisis. But what about government, which has been making policy for generations without confirming that the science behind it is valid?

The biggest newsmakers in the crisis have involved psychology. Consider three findings: Striking a “power pose” can improve a person’s hormone balance and increase tolerance for risk. Invoking a negative stereotype, such as by telling black test-takers that an exam measures intelligence, can measurably degrade performance. Playing a sorting game that involves quickly pairing faces (black or white) with bad and good words (“happy” or “death”) can reveal “implicit bias” and predict discrimination.

All three of these results received massive media attention, but independent researchers haven’t been able to reproduce any of them properly. It seems as if there’s no end of “scientific truths” that just aren’t so. For a 2015 article in Science, independent researchers tried to replicate 100 prominent psychology studies and succeeded with only 39{9777635cfa82a0aab621d7111c7b7154d6356e0eedfaecd5a3ca30be59699a9a} of them.

Further from the spotlight is a lot of equally flawed research that is often more consequential. In 2012 the biotechnology firm Amgen tried to reproduce 53 “landmark” studies in hematology and oncology. The company could only replicate six. Are doctors basing serious decisions about medical treatment on the rest? Consider the financial costs, too. A 2015 study estimated that American researchers spend $28 billion a year on irreproducible preclinical research.

The chief cause of irreproducibility may be that scientists, whether wittingly or not, are fishing fake statistical significance out of noisy data. If a researcher looks long enough, he can turn any fluke correlation into a seemingly positive result. But other factors compound the problem: Scientists can make arbitrary decisions about research techniques, even changing procedures partway through an experiment. They are susceptible to groupthink and aren’t as skeptical of results that fit their biases. Negative results typically go into the file drawer. Exciting new findings are a route to tenure and fame, and there’s little reward for replication studies.

It’s always ironic how the IFLS crowd isn’t even remotely up to speed on current science while simultaneously pointing and shrieking about how everyone with substantive and valid criticism of scientistry simply “doesn’t understand science”. You can see this in the comments of the most recent Voxiversity on Christianity and Western Civilization. Richard Dawkins has repeatedly argued that eyewitness testimony should not be used in the courtroom because it is insufficiently reliable, but by his own metric, the expert testimony of a scientist should barred from the courtroom as well because science is considerably less statistically reliable.

As for the idea that science can even theoretically serve as a basis for moral guidance, the grand windmill at which Sam Harris has been jousting in futility for the last 10 years, that has become even more obviously ridiculous than even his most brutal critics believed at the start. One would do nearly four times better to simply flip a coin; indeed, statistically speaking, one’s optimal strategy is to listen to what scientists advise, then do precisely the opposite.

Of course, in retrospect, this should have always been obvious. Look at the average scientist. Do you think following his advice on women or doing the precise opposite is more likely to lead to a desirable outcome? Do you trust his philosophy on fitness, or on any other aspect of life? These are individuals whose entire perspectives on life, the universe, and everything are constructed on an illusion of a nonexistent solidity.

And the great irony is that scientistry now stands condemned by its beloved scientodific metric. The New Atheists reasoned that religious faith must be false on the basis of presuming the eyewitness testimony and documentary evidence to the contrary being false, but now we actually know, we do not merely reason, that it is faith in science that is false due to irreproducibility.

Merit-based immigration is no solution

It’s merely a different and more intractable problem:

“Merit-based immigration” is seen as the gold standard of immigration reform by many Republicans and conservative policy wonks. But it could lead to their political ruin.

We already have a clear window into what a merit-based policy could bring to the political landscape: look at the Indian colonization of Seattle’s Eastside—the area across Lake Washington from Seattle which stretches from Sammamish in the south to Bothell in the north. It has been transformed, in roughly 25 years, from a region that leaned Republican into a cesspool of socialism.

It all started with the rise of Bill Gates’ Microsoft in Redmond, followed by likeminded corporate titans who gorged themselves on the delights of Indian staffing agencies that exploit the H1-B visa program. Once a foreign worker’s H1B status expires in six years, them it’s time for an employment-based green card. These green cards have for years been handed out like popcorn with curry on top to almost any Indian techie who agrees to work for, on average, one-third lower pay than American tech workers.

Microsoft was an American-led company for many years until its upper leadership became Indian, beginning with the head of personnel some 20 or so years ago. Although the data released by the company is hard to interpret, employees note that the firm is a plurality Indian company in employees, as well as in leadership.

I always find the desperate attempts of conservatives to avoid the obvious consequences of the truth about immigration to be more than a little funny. First, “all immigration is beneficial.” Second, “it’s not the immigration, it’s the illegality”. Third, “it’s about the quality of the immigration.” Now that high-caste Indians are doing in the Pacific Northwest what high-caste Indians have done in India for thousands of years, conservatives will be forced to face the fact that their fourth line of intellectual retreat is just as false as the previous three.

How did “high-quality immigration” work out for the American Indian? Low-quality means your people are replaced on the low end. High-quality means your people are replaced on the high end. Either way, your people are going to be replaced, conquered, and disenfranchised.

There is one and only one metric that matters with regards to immigration: quantity. And even a relatively small quantity is considerably more destructive to a society than most social scientists realize yet.

“Indians can only think in terms of might is right, street-smartness and political connections. Such a society cannot have any understanding of the principles of the Ten Commandments, or have respect for the individual and liberty.”
– Jayant Bhandari

Sounds familiar, does it not? I believe it is informative to note that those who claim I am incorrect about the inability of the vast majority of post-18th century immigrants to adapt to or adopt historical Anglo-American norms are usually untraveled monolingual whites who have literally no experience living in any culture or society outside the United States.
