Not Whether but Which

Doug Wilson points out that discipline has never been a problem in the churches, it has merely been converged, twisted, and redirected:

This niceness vibe has been advanced in such a way as to make conservative believers think that they have been attending churches that have real trouble disciplining for error. But . . . not whether but which. In this world, it is absolutely necessary for every group that has defined boundaries to discipline for error, or for what they consider to be error.

Do you remember those times when conservative believers were chafing over the fact that no discipline ever seemed to be applied when young people drifted into sexual immorality, or into drugs? Or when middle aged businessmen abandoned their families and nothing happened? Or when someone announced that they were gay, and everyone thought it was a shame, but nobody did anything? It was easy back then to assume that this was because such churches didn’t know how to discipline.

But they did know how to discipline. Not whether but which. If you ever had pressed your concerns about the ongoing grab-assing in the youth group,, you would find out that they did know how to crack down on sin. They would crack down on you for your use of the word grab-assing in your letter to the session, which was totally unnecessary, and not becoming to one who names the name of Christ. In addition, they would discipline you for the legalistic spirit you were unfortunately starting to display. The discipline was there, just not aimed in the direction it ought to have been.

And how many churches over the last couple years have vigorously policed their congregations when it came to the wearing of masks? And they did this when to your knowledge they had never vigorously policed anything before. The one thing this should have told you is that they do know how to do it. They do know how to withstand pressure and blow back—but just from certain quarters. Not whether but which.

They had earlier refused to apply discipline in certain directions because they were concerned about the reaction they would get (from certain quarters). But on a different issue they applied discipline unambiguously and they were entirely unconcerned about the reaction they would get (from other quarters). When it came to you and your concerns about your aunt, who didn’t want to get the jab or wear a mask, but who had the antibodies, they were a rock wall. When it came to the concerns of those whose feelings were hurt by a visiting speaker who spoke insensitively about sex roles in marriage, they were a mound of marshmallows. Not whether but which.

This was because they feared the CDC (and the people who feared the CDC), and they did not fear God (or the people who fear God). Some went this way because health is their god, and they feared the virus. Others did it because the state is their god, and they feared the voice of officialdom.

At this point, the average church – be it Catholic or Protestant – is more likely to expel you from the congregation for quoting a Biblical passage deemed excessively racist or judgemental than for having a gay affair with the pastor’s son-in-law.

Flushing the Cucks

An unexpected side benefit of Scooter’s recent documentary, Patriot Purge, is the way it flushed a pair of cuckservatives from Fox News:

The trailer for Tucker Carlson’s special about the Jan. 6 mob at the Capitol landed online on Oct. 27, and that night Jonah Goldberg sent a text to his business partner, Stephen Hayes: “I’m tempted just to quit Fox over this.”

“I’m game,” Mr. Hayes replied. “Totally outrageous. It will lead to violence. Not sure how we can stay.”

The full special, “Patriot Purge,” appeared on Fox’s online subscription streaming service days later. And last week, the two men, both paid Fox News contributors, finalized their resignations from the network.

In some ways, their departures should not be surprising: It’s simply part of the new right’s mopping up operation in the corners of conservative institutions that still house pockets of resistance to Donald J. Trump’s control of the Republican Party. Mr. Goldberg, a former National Review writer, and Mr. Hayes, a former Weekly Standard writer, were stars of the pre-Trump conservative movement. They clearly staked out their positions in 2019 when they founded The Dispatch, an online publication that they described as “a place that thoughtful readers can come for conservative, fact-based news and commentary.” It now has nearly 30,000 paying subscribers.

Their departures also mark the end of a lingering hope among some at Fox News — strange as this is for outsiders to understand — that the channel would at some point return to a pre-Trump reality that was also often hyperpartisan, but that kept some distance from Republican officials.

Notice how small their actual following is, despite the fact that these guys have been getting massive amounts of media exposure for decades and the probability that The Dispatch is being propped up by the same people that keep National Review and the American Enterprise Institute going and going and going.

This doesn’t mean that Fox News can be trusted in the slightest. But it’s demonstrating, once more, that the Right’s erstwhile opinion leaders were always anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-Western gatekeepers. You can always tell the self-appointed moderate, they love the word “thoughtful” more than the average gamma loves the word “actually”.

Never Celebrate a Cuck

You can’t get demoralized or disheartened by a Republican doing what Republicans do.

Virginia Republican Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin will reportedly allow local mask and vaccine mandates to be implemented, including in K-12 public schools. Glenn Youngkin, the Republican Governor-elect of Virginia, will be allowing localities in the state – including cities, counties, and public school systems – to implement mask and vaccine mandates, but says he will not impose a mandate at the state level.

Republicans are all about the surrender game. The most important thing is to never, ever go on the offensive. Just defend and retreat, then defend and retreat again.

This is why I didn’t give a damn which of the two uniparty candidates won the governorship. At this point in time, “mildly less disastrous” is not going to accomplish anything that matters.

Adjust Your Expectations

Bruce Charlton explains that failure is the objective, negative consequences are desired, and the end result is destruction:

We are all finding it difficult to get to grips with this new post-global totalitarian world administered (ultimately) by demonic powers (and their mindless human hosts, servants and slaves); because it operates on the basis of an inverted value system which is not a natural way for us humans to think.

The difference is that (unlike Men) demonic powers are motivated by the desire to destroy whatever is Good, whatever is God’s creation.

For example, the birdemic-response, including the mandatory peck program, has led to major sectors of the economy, of national functioning, of essential provisions, being in increased danger of being rendered useless or even destroyed.

This makes the nations weak, impoverished, increasingly chaotic. This is negative feedback, indicating that what is being done is doing harm – and that we need to stop doing it.

Normally, negative feedback would lead national rulers to stop doing it. But these times are not normal.

When the global rulership is under demonic control, such negative consequences are regarded as A Good Thing. Since the demonic powers desire to destroy God’s creation and every-thing Good – they are delighted by evidence of increasing national weakness, and by the increased sufferings and death of human beings.

For demons; what we humans regard as Negatives are, in fact, The Plan.

This is why conservatism, which in normal circumstances is merely unsuccessful, is completely unable to comprehend what is happening right in front of conservative eyes. All their finger-wagging, all of their warnings about dire consequences, are entirely useless, because they fail to understand the significance of what it means for the servants of Satan to call good evil and call evil good.

The Death Seekers don’t fear death, they seek it. And they most certainly don’t fear yours! There can be no accommodation with them. There will be no accommodation with them.

They can, they must, and they will be defeated. But they will not be defeated by conservatives. They will not be defeated by secularists. They will only be defeated by Jesus Christ and those who serve him.

Seeing Through Shapiro

It’s been 16 years since I first pointed out that Ben Shapiro is a gatekeeper, a liar, and a fraud, but finally Christians and other influencers on the Right are seeing through his deceitful act.

Ben Shapiro hates Christ, rejects Christ, and is therefore by definition Anti-Christ. Christians should not be lending their time and money to this man. They should be sharing the Gospel with him instead and praying for his acceptance of Jesus Christ the King of Kings.
– Andrew Torba

Ben Shapiro wrote a new book telling us the real enemy we face, which is the “authoritarians,” both on the left and on the right, like the Jan 6th protestors who tried to overthrow our government so they could personally seize power over all of us. Nobody buys these books. I’ll bet Ben Shapiro has fewer honest fans than I do. But he has a $24 million dollar budget for his website, to run a massive staff, to spew all of this. And he does that all while a grossly criminal, illegal conspiracy, commits crimes which are not just technically illegal, but which utterly savages the very essence of the concepts of American freedom, privacy, and the United States Constitution. And Shapiro is a knowing paid agent of this enemy. And he is getting paid very well for it.
– Anonymous Conservative

Now the Zoomers are starting to publicly call him out.

AUDIENCE MEMBER: So in 2019 you went on Joe Rogan’s podcast, and you had a religious conversation with him. You were asked about your view on Jesus Christ, and you said “Jesus was a Jewish rebel who tried to lead a revolt against the Romans and was killed for his trouble.” My question is, Jesus said to give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and the roman governor even said it first that he was not guilty of any crime. So, given all of this, how can you argue that he tried to lead a revolt against the Romans.

SHAPIRO: Right, so I mean, you’re assuming, so I said, from the Jewish perspective, right, I’m not arguing from the Christian perspective, I presume that nearly everyone in this room knows the New Testament better than I do.

I do know the Jewish perspective on Jesus better than most people who are Christian, right, because it’s the Jewish perspective on Jesus. The Jewish perspective on Jesus does not accept the historicity of the gospels, if it did, then we’d all be christian, right? So the Jewish perspective on Jesus is that like many people at the time and this was true throughout that entire period, there were a lot of Jews who were attempting to lead political revolts against the Romans. The Jewish definition of a Messiah is very different from the Christian definition of the Messiah. The Christian definition of the Messiah and of Jesus is of course a unification of God and man, right? This doesn’t exist in the notion of Jewish philosophy. In Jewish philosophy, the Messiah is a person who accomplishes particular goals according to Maimonides: the gathering of the exiles, the reestablishment of a Davidic kingdom, the reestablishment of Jewish sovereignty in the land of Israel, right? So from a Jewish perspective, if someone was trying to be the Messiah, they would be a political figure. When I said that he was killed for the trouble, that was not demeaning of him. I assume that if I had been living at the time, I also would have been attempting to lead a revolt against the Romans, just like half the Jews were, right? This is why the temple was destroyed, this is why Jews were put into exile, several times, so that was not a smear against Jesus as a Jew, it’s just a recognition that Jews don’t believe in Jesus as a divine figure. And if we did then we’d be Christian.

AUDIENCE MEMBER: Well, then I probably would’ve changed the phraseology of that, because, then again, if that was the case, then he would’ve been going against Jewish law, and since that would’ve made him a political figure, then he would’ve been going against Jewish law, not Roman law.

SHAPIRO: No, leading a revolt against the Romans wouldn’t have been going against Jewish law either. We don’t want to get into a long, complex debate over what Jews think about the historicity and the take on Judaism that’s in the Gospels. That’s a pretty long conversation, honestly it’s really interesting and it’s kind of fascinating, but under Jewish law, even if you read the New Testament, Jesus’s claims aren’t punishable under Jewish law by death, actually.

What a despicable little weasel.

Just Go, Boomer

What is it about Boomers and Gammas that they can’t simply shut up and go away in peace. They always have to make some sort of formal announcement before flouncing away, just to make sure that everyone is aware that the Special Boy’s specialness will no longer be available to them.

On October 19th, I will be deleting my Gab account. If you still want to follow me, I’ll be at http://gettr.com/user/mitchellvii.

Sorry, but I just can’t hang with the negativity here.

I’ll have more followers on GETTR in a month than I have here – and they will be optimistic patriots ready to work for 2022!

I don’t belong here.

I’m out. Please follow me on http://gettr.com/user/mitchellvii

This was my second response. My first response, of course, was: “who is Bill Mitchell?” To which I discovered the answer was “Boomercon grifter”. This made me laugh. He should probably stay away from the chans too, as Facebook is clearly more his style.

Too Late to Shout “Stop!”

The Tree of Woe explains why it’s too late for conservatism:

Conservatism is dead.

Who would stand athwart history and shout “Stop” at this moment in time? America today is a dystopia.

The ruling class has pilfered the wealth and productivity of three generations of workers, financialized it into securities, and sold it to the globe. Now the factories and infrastructure of the country decay, and with them go our productive capacities. As productivity declines, purchasing power declines, so more currency is printed for billionaires. Productive wages languish while financial wealth soars. The hyperinflation of our currency spells doom for our consumption. “You will own nothing,” and you will not be happy.

Meanwhile, personal autonomy has been discarded in favor of the grossest arguments of collectivism. Parental rights have been handed over to the nanny state. The borders have been left open, even as our citizens have spent the last two years locked in their homes. The freedom of assembly has been abrogated. The freedom of speech has been obliterated. Through the mechanisms of Tyranny, Inc., the federal government has learned that any act or speech it wants to be regulated, it can have corporations regulate on its behalf.

Federal omnipotence is matched only by federal incompetence: The government is no longer competent to craft a budget, maintain a city, or win a war. It is no longer competent to even lose a war. A functioning autocracy can oftentimes achieve national greatness. A dysfunctional kleptocracy can achieve nothing but its own corrupt enrichment, and even that only until the citizens have nothing left to steal.

This is why the Nationalist Right, the Nationalist Christian Right, is inevitable. The alternatives have already failed. Globalism will fail. And we know, from the Bible, that both the nations and Christianity will survive until the end.

Proceed with confidence and serenity. No matter what names they hurl at you.

Republicans Play China Police

It’s infuriating how Republicans insist on trying to throw their weight around outside US borders, but don’t lift a single damn finger to prevent US-based companies from abusing, banning, and censoring Americans in the United States:

A top Republican has become the first member of Congress to call out LinkedIn, the only major American social media platform that operates in China, for censoring American users on behalf of the ruling Communist Party.

Rep. Jim Banks, chairman of the conservative Republican Study Committee in Congress, sent a letter Friday to Microsoft-owned LinkedIn, criticizing them for bowing down to the Chinese government by blocking the profiles of Americans who refer to the Asian superpower in a critical fashion.

There are at least 100 Americans whose LinkedIn profiles have anecdotally been found to have been banned by China in the past few months for allegedly anti-China content in the “Education” or “Experience” sections of their LinkedIn profiles.

Who cares about China censoring foreigners? Do something about Google, and Twitter, and Apple, and Facebook censoring Americans in the United States, FFS!

Conservatives are so utterly useless as they smugly preen and posture about abstract freedoms while doing absolutely nothing of any material value, they almost annoy me more than the idiot SJWs.

UPDATE: YouTube is now censoring all anti-vaxx information.

YouTube will ban any video that claims “vaccines are ineffective or dangerous” from now on and has suspended the accounts of prominent vaccination opponents, including Joseph Mercola and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

To which, top Republicans said “well, did you know LinkedIn is censoring criticism of China?”

Watered Down

You can’t say I didn’t warn you. But you shouldn’t be surprised, because conservatives don’t ever play to win.

The final audit reports from Cyber Ninjas work in Maricopa County Arizona were released over the weekend. They appear watered down. What was removed?

In the final report, the statement calling for decertification was eliminated.

First, you can’t revive a corpse. Second, you’re not going to vote your way out of this. That ship sailed sometime between 1965 and 1980.

They’re Not on Our Side

Anon explains that cuckservatives, the Republican Party, and Conservative Inc. are actively hostile to America and the Right:

Did you ever notice how it’s always us leading the fight and it’s always the vast majority of elected and appointed Republicans in the rearguard, robbing the baggage train, or in full retreat? But whenever we are about to score a victory against the Regime, they charge over us and stand athwart our crumpled bodies, shouting “STOP! PUT THAT SPEAR DOWN! THAT IS NOT WHO WE ARE!”

Well, when they say, “That is not who we are,” they are telling the truth – defeating the left isn’t who they are. When it comes to Republicans and us, there is no “we” because they aren’t on our side.

The Republican party’s mission is to maximally restrain us and let the left beat and stab us until we agree not to vote for Trump again.

They are a group not of bandits, but confidence artists and conmen. They don’t do direct violence, they trick other people into doing it for them. As long as we keep them in power, sitting pretty with pensions, health care, and insider trading opportunities – and $5 million a year job with Wall Street or a defense contractor afterwards – they’ll do the bare minimum to keep the Democrats from destroying our lives with insane policies. Not enough that we can ever escape needing the Republican party, though – can’t have the milk cows escaping the pasture! – but just enough that we can create more value for them to harvest

The Democrats want to torture the milk cow to death because “they identify as milk cows and we are othering them and denying them their lived experiences” – really they just want to rape it, eat it’s children, and sell the milk cow to China, where it’s teats will be sliced off and a spigot installed in it’s gall bladder.

The Republicans understand that they must keep the milk cow thinking that they love it, so instead of beating it themselves they let the Democrats beat it. They just want to maximize milk and calf production, eat like kings, and then send ole Betsy to the glue factory once she’s no longer good for anything else.

We are the milk cow.

I particularly appreciate his perspective on the demonic aspect of corporations. Think about that specific term a little, and how corporations are created before you dismiss the concept out of hand.
