Convergence at the World Cup

The Impossibility of Social Justice Convergence: the more an institution converges towards the highest abstract standard of social and distributive justice, the less it is able to perform its primary function.

Japan have pulled off the second stunning upset of the Qatar World Cup by beating four-times winners Germany in the latest embarrassment for the tournament veterans. In echoes of Argentina’s humiliating defeat to Saudi Arabia just over 24 hours earlier, Germany took the lead through a first-half penalty but a spirited fightback saw the underdogs claim a famous 2-1 victory.

When Nurture Wins

This is straight-up child abuse. Literally satanic child abuse from which they will likely never recover.

Elllon Muskrat: A few years back I took my kids to a showing of The Little Mermaid at the Castro Theatre in SF. It was introduced and MCd by some drag folks. The kids just said “look at the pretty ladies” and then we watched the movie.

Dave Watson: Wait! Your children haven’t been turned into DragQueens?! Impossible!

Elllon Muskrat: Well, they have all come out as trans in the years since, but I don’t think the Little Mermaid show was the catalyst.

Never, ever, again say that God blesses America. It’s readily apparent that He hasn’t been doing that for some time now.

Germany Braces for Deflation

German leaders fear the German public running out of cash this winter:

On Tuesday, Reuters reported German authorities are moving to acquire emergency cash deliveries to keep their economy running in the event power outages take down electronics-dependent methods of payment.

People familiar with the government plans reported that the Bundesbank, Germany’s central bank, had begun hoarding extra billions in the event there is a surge in demand for cash, or limits placed on withdrawals.

Government officials and bank authorities are also looking to secure the distribution mechanisms for the cash, giving priority fuel access to cash transporters, according to the sources. The planning sessions have also reportedly included multiple financial industry associations as well as financial market regulator BaFin.

The Reuters article noted, “Although German authorities have publicly played down the likelihood of a blackout, the discussions show both how seriously they take the threat and how they struggle to prepare for potential crippling power outages caused by soaring energy costs or even sabotage.”

Another illustration of how digital currency is a complete non-starter in any scenario that involves interrupted electricity flows. Which also goes for electric cars and the digital economy in general. If the power goes out anywhere along the way, you’re not going to be watching YouTube videos or streaming Netflix.

And yes, the inability to spend credit money is extremely deflationary. As with generals, economists always prepare to fight the last banking crisis.

Saudi Arabia 2, Argentina 1

Saudi Arabia Stuns Messi, Argentina With Comeback Win at World Cup. Saleh Al-Shehri and Salem Al-Dawsari scored just five minutes apart to overcome an early Lionel Messi goal in a massive World Cup upset.

The craziest thing is that the Saudis actually merited the win. Their French coach gambled on a very risky defensive strategy and it paid off.

Clown World Fails in Qatar

The Gay Rainbow brigade is afraid to stand up for their fake human rights at the World Cup:

Qatar’s conservative regime has been clamping down on pro-LGBT football fans with rainbow bucket hats, T-shirts and flags as Harry Redknapp had his say and declared today: ‘I just want to get on and enjoy the football. If you feel that strongly don’t play or don’t go’.

The farcical row over Harry Kane and other captains facing a ban from the pitch for wearing a rainbow armband has spilled over to the stadiums of Doha.

Last night former Wales captain Laura McAllister was among female football fans who were ‘told to take off their rainbow bucket hats’ at the Qatari stadium ahead of the Dragons’ first match. Men, however, were allowed to keep them on.

US football reporter Grant Wahl was stopped by security at the same match and ordered to take off his rainbow T-shirt. He refused and the Qatari officials questioned him before they eventually backed down. One security guard told him that they were protecting him from fans inside who might’ve attacked him for wearing the shirt.

FIFA has made it clear that rainbows on clothing and flags is not prohibited in stadiums – but have acted to prevent protests on the pitch. Organisers of the Qatar World Cup and Qatari cultural groups have also urged visitors to respect their customs and religious rules. These including no drinking or swearing in public, wearing modest clothes and no public displays of affection. LGBT people are criminalised and they have also faced discrimination and violence.

Harry Kane did not wear his ‘One Love’ armband during England’s game against Iran because of the threat of a yellow card after orders from the FA. The England captain had previously said he was determined to put it on, and was accused of ‘bottling it’.

On the sidelines former England footballer Alex Scott, now a BBC broadcaster, wore the armband during a live broadcast.

Veteran football manager Harry Redknapp told LBC today that he backed Kane’s pro LGBT stance, but suggested he believes it will make no difference in Qatar.

He said: ‘I agree with Harry Kane. But we’ve gone to their country – If you feel that strongly don’t play or don’t go. I don’t know whether wearing the armband will change anything in that country. It’s their country and that’s how they want to run it. I just want to get on and enjoy the football. But a yellow card for wearing an armband is ridiculous’.

Qatar, like Russia, China, and the rest of the free world, has learned from the failure and subjugation of the former West to Clown World. If you give the clowns an inch, they will take a marathon’s worth of miles. Isn’t it interesting how “it’s just a rainbow” and “it’s just a t-shirt” and “it’s just an armband” suddenly become an outrageous authoritarian denial of so-called “human rights” as soon as they are banned?

If it’s just a t-shirt, then what’s the problem with banning it? If it’s just an armband, why are you vowing to accept any punishment in order to wear it?

As always, they speak with forked tongues. It’s not as if FIFA or the clown media would ever permit a team to wear a swastika armband, even if it was a Hindu team from India. It’s just too bad Qatar hasn’t banned the ridiculous prematch submission to St. George Floyd as well.

Clown World is literally built on lies, chief among them being that the political is personal until it is made mandatory.

Civilizational Awareness

Or rather, the lack thereof:

Ethan Williams, a 20-year-old White kid from Indiana, was shot dead by William Freeman, a Black 26-year-old, while Ethan was sitting on the stoop of the Bushwick (Brooklyn, NY) Airbnb he had rented to fulfill his “lifelong dream” of visiting New York City.

Listen, I try as hard as I can not to “victim blame” in events like this. I try to keep the blame appropriately focused on those at the top who have inflicted the conditions of our degraded society upon us. And while there’s no doubt that the institutional blackout on crime statistics – and all other observable reality – contributes to errors in judgment like the ones that led to Ethan Williams’ murder, the question must be asked:

What the fuck was a White kid from Indiana doing sitting on a stoop in Bushwick???

This isn’t a lack of situational awareness – this is a lack of civilizational awareness.

Hey, at least the late Mr. Williams achieved his “lifelong dream”. The fact of the matter is that since the advent of humanity, some young men and women have proven themselves to be literally too stupid to live. Perhaps their deficiency is entirely genetic, or perhaps it’s partially the result of an upbringing that fails to teach them that Man is fallen and the body is mortal.

This is why it’s very important to provide your children with a clear and accurate picture of what other cultures, civilizations, societies, and peoples are like, so if they aren’t terminally stupid, they will avoid putting themselves into completely unnecessary danger.

Anyhow, to answer the original question: he was probably gay. Normal young men don’t dream of visiting New York City. What was next on his list, Sydney? This may have played a causal role in the shooting, as it an unwanted attempt to make Mr. Freeman his friend could have easily provoked it.

Disney Doubles Down

I wish I could have seen the Dark Herald’s face when he learned that Disney is bringing Bob Iger back as CEO:

Former Disney boss Bob Iger, who headed the entertainment giant for 15 years, is returning to lead the firm. He replaces Bob Chapek, who took over as chief executive in February 2020. Disney shares have fallen by more than 40% this year and the company has poured billions of dollars into its loss-making streaming service Disney+.

Mr Iger’s decision to step down in 2020 came as a surprise, after he had driven several major takeovers and launched Disney’s streaming network.

Susan Arnold, who heads the company’s board, said in a statement that Mr Iger was “uniquely situated” to take Disney through “an increasingly complex period of industry transformation.”

Mr Iger has agreed to hold the post for two years in which time he aims to find a successor to lead the company.

“I am extremely optimistic for the future of this great company and thrilled to be asked by the Board to return as its CEO,” Mr Iger said.

During his decade and a half as chief executive Disney bought animation studio Pixar, comic book company Marvel, the home of Star Wars LucasFilm and Rupert Murdoch’s 21st Century Fox.These deals, along with the launch of the Disney+ streaming platform and amusement park openings helped the company’s market value increase five-fold during his time in charge…

Disney now has more than 235 million subscriptions across its three streaming platforms, which also include the sports-focused ESPN+ and wider entertainment site Hulu. Netflix, by comparison, has about 223 million subscribers. Mr Chapek also faced pressure over his response to Florida’s controversial “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

Here is my prediction. Iger will not only double down on Disney’s convergence, he will also attempt to buy Netflix. Growth through leveraged buyout is the only thing he knows, and the seeds of future failure are always planted in the flowering of success.
