SJWs invade Cimmeria

As it has been said, SJWs always lie. Yet another example, this one from the world of Robert E. Howard scholarship:

At one time the Cimmerian Blog was the cream of the crop for online Robert E. Howard scholarship and I was very proud to be a contributor there in 2009-2010. Since closing down that year the blog has remained online as an archive of scholarship, hosted by the owner Leo Grin.

This weekend I learned that owner had posted a political rant attacking one of the other bloggers, Barbara Barrett, and endorsing controversial science ficiton writer Theodore Beale (a.k.a. Vox Day) founder of the Rabid Puppies group that tried to hijack the Hugo Awards this year. The wording of his rant in the first person plural makes it sound as though all of the other bloggers endorsed this action as well as the ideology of Vox Day. This is not the case at all.

I was not consulted about this and I do not in anyway endorse Leo Grin’s comments or the beliefs of Vox Day and the Rabid Puppies. I have asked that my name, image, and posts be removed from the site and Leo has complied. I will likely be reposting some of my less-dated material here as time permits in the weeks to come. I am very saddened that this had to happen and that what was once a great REH blog has been tarnished by such divisive politicization.

That said. there are amazing things happening in Howard fandom and scholarship now and coming in the future. We will not let this petty nonsense get in the way of that great work.

Allow me to translate: “petty nonsense” means someone dared to disagree with an SJW. “Divisive politicization” means that an SJW attempt to take over the organization was resisted.

SJWs can’t easily operate out in the open before they’ve seized effective control. That’s why they will cooperate and play along right up until the moment that it becomes clear that their entryism is futile. Then they’ll make it clear that their allegiance is to the Narrative, not to the organization or its objectives.

It’s all right there in the book. Their playbook never changes much. So learn it and learn how to deal with it, because sooner or later, it will affect you directly.

More lessons in rhetoric

Chublie Martin is now into his fourth day of demonstrating that he doesn’t care and he totally isn’t triggered at all:

Charlie Martin
The funniest part of this is you *still* haven’t thought of anything more creative than fat jokes.

Vox Day
It’s funny because you’re fat. And because you’re STILL crying into your gallon tub of Blue Bunny.

Thales
Watching @voxday tear down rhetoric speakers is like watching a Kung Fu master fight an overweight couch potato. Literally, in this case.

A Street in Texas
quit. Vox is dominating this thread 64RT/127FAV to 2/3

Charlie Martin
Go home. You’re not big enough to ride this ride.

Minion 278
what is the minimum weight limit, 350lbs?

Vox Day
Chublie, ARETHA FRANKLIN isn’t big enough to ride you.

Charlie Martin
Oh, don’t forget small penis.

Charlie Martin
You could say I have a big nose.

Charlie Martin
You could say I dress funny.

Charlie Martin
You could say I don’t speak Telegu.

Charlie Martin
You could make fun of my beard.

Charlie Martin
Mom was Jewish, you could call me a kike.

Charlie Martin
Look, I’ll give you some help: racial slurs. You could call me a Muslim,

Charlie Martin
I mean, OMG he might make another fat joke.

Vox Day
We didn’t make any fat jokes, Chublie. Your mother did.

For some reason, those losing a rhetorical battle often resort to the fighting withdrawal of the overwhelmed loser: “real original”. But not only will you search Aristotle in vain for any reference to originality, you will learn that a) truth and b) repetition are among the most potent rhetorical tactics.

Of course, this isn’t a fair fight. Not only is Mr. Martin considerably less experienced at dealing with intelligent opponents than I am, his real handicap is socio-sexual. Gammas should never take on Alphas and they should never, ever take on Sigmas. An Alpha will stop beating on the Gamma when he feels that the challenge has been dealt with and his dominant position is secured. A Sigma will stop beating on the Gamma when it stops amusing him.

This can, as we know, take a considerable while.

Mailvox: the power of rhetoric

RM puts SJWs Always Lie into practice:

On Twitter I was able to apply your tactics in realtime against some atheist chick. I demolished pseudo-dialectic with dialectic, and met rhetoric with rhetoric. Additionally, I also worked in the Red Pill, maintained frame and got her hamster working over time by saying her profile pic was one of a 4, and hitting the Wall must drive her to seek male attention. I got six tweets in response for one of mine with her hamster spinning like mad to qualify herself to me.

In the end, she started following my account and asked if I’d follow her and if I wanted to have a conversation with just her since she was shy on Twitter.

I dropped it and walked away at that point, shuddering.

Granted, I have room for improvement. It took me far too long to get her to that point and I replied too often, but the end result was a confirmation of your tactics for logic and your observations concerning socio-sexual interactions.

There is a definite connection between rhetoric and Game that merits further exploration. And on a tangential note, I’ve had some requests for how to respond to common rhetorical attacks. For example, it’s quite common to see atheists use the Old Testament to rhetorically attack Christianity, to which the ideal rhetorical response should be obvious: “You’re attacking the Torah? You’re an anti-semitic Jew-hating Nazi!”

It would be helpful, in this regard, if you would list some of the common rhetorical attacks you’ve observed at school, at work, or online.

The migrant crisis is Greek revenge

Steve Sailer points out that the Greeks warned Germany that they would manufacture a migrant crisis for the EU if they did not get debt relief back in March:

Yes, the Greeks are shoveling the Muslim mob through Greece as fast as possible because they are humanitarians. The Greeks are sending the Muslim masses north toward Germany as a gift to express how grateful Greece is for Germany’s kindness during last summer’s Euro crisis negotiations. The Greeks would love to hang onto all this prime human capital themselves, but they want Germany to benefit from the Merkel Youth as payback for Ms. Merkel’s kindness over the last seven years toward Greece.

It’s the least the Greeks could do for the Germans after all they’ve done for the Greeks.

As the old saying goes, “Never beware of Greeks bearing gifts.”

UPDATE: Oh, wait, it turns out that the Greek government explicitly threatened to unleash Muslim migrants upon Germany if Ms. Merkel’s government insisted upon a hardline in the Euro debt negotiations. From the Daily Express, 3/9/2015:

The rising tensions between Greece and the eurozone came as Panos Kammenos, the Greek defence minister, warned that Europe will be hit with migrants that could include “some jihadists of the Islamic State” if Greece is forced out of the euro.

He said: “If they deal a blow to Greece, then they should know the the migrants will get papers to go to Berlin.

“If Europe leaves us in the crisis, we will flood it with migrants, and it will be even worse for Berlin if in that wave of millions of economic migrants there will be some jihadists of the Islamic State too.”

His comments came shortly after Nikos Kotzias, the Greek foreign minister, warned that “there will be tens of millions of immigrants and thousands of jihadists” if bailout negotiations fail.

In retaliation to Mr Kammenos’ comments, the spokeswoman for EU Migration Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos assured she had spoken to Greek authorities and had “received assurances from the Ministry of Interior that no measures to open up detention centres have been taken.”

History never “just happens”.  I can’t even imagine how hard Mr. Kammenos must be laughing after reading American columnists writing about how “hospitable” and “humanitarian” the Greeks are in comparison to those terrible, very bad, and quite possibly NAZI Hungarians. Greece doesn’t intend to keep any of the migrants, it is weaponizing them and sending them north as revenge upon the rest of the EU.

Back From the Dead

Helton Strom is just a guy between contracts when he runs afoul of both planetary officialdom
and space pirates. He is left with nothing but the clothes on his back,
and not even a citizenship to his name. Is the ancient, broken-down
military-surplus starship and the young lady living aboard it the key to
a bright future, or will his repairs and new mercenary friends awaken
the demons lurking in the ship’s murky and lethal past?

THE STARS CAME BACK: BACK FROM THE DEAD is part space-western, the
story of folks just trying stay alive, seeking work to earn money for
repairs to get to the next job, with no shortage of action and adventure
along the way. It is military sci-fi, featuring a company of
mercenaries, spaceship combat, mortar and rifle combat, spear-and-shield
battle, and post-traumatic stress disorder. And it is a philosophical
investigation, pondering everything from the lessons of Achilles to how
one stops a bar fight with earplugs.

BACK FROM THE DEAD is the prose rewrite of the first half of the screenplay-format version of the original THE STARS CAME BACK. Today and tomorrow we are making it available for only $1.99 for anyone who previously purchased the screenplay-format version but would like to read the prose version as well. It is available in both EPUB and Kindle formats. 235 pages, DRM-free.

Beginning Wednesday, it will be available for $4.99 from Amazon.

The moral imperative of foreign intervention

Be sure to bring this military policy up the next time someone is telling you that there is a moral imperative demanding U.S. military intervention abroad:

Rampant sexual abuse of children has long been a problem in Afghanistan, particularly among armed commanders who dominate much of the rural landscape and can bully the population. The practice is called bacha bazi, literally “boy play,” and American soldiers and Marines have been instructed not to intervene — in some cases, not even when their Afghan allies have abused boys on military bases, according to interviews and court records.

The policy has endured as American forces have recruited and organized Afghan militias to help hold territory against the Taliban. But soldiers and Marines have been increasingly troubled that instead of weeding out pedophiles, the American military was arming them in some cases and placing them as the commanders of villages — and doing little when they began abusing children.

“The reason we were here is because we heard the terrible things the Taliban were doing to people, how they were taking away human rights,” said Dan Quinn, a former Special Forces captain who beat up an American-backed militia commander for keeping a boy chained to his bed as a sex slave. “But we were putting people into power who would do things that were worse than the Taliban did — that was something village elders voiced to me.”

The policy of instructing soldiers to ignore child sexual abuse by their Afghan allies is coming under new scrutiny, particularly as it emerges that service members like Captain Quinn have faced discipline, even career ruin, for disobeying it.

It’s also worth noting that 6.6 percent of the EU asylum seekers come from Afghanistan. It should be obvious that not only is there NO moral imperative to provide anyone from that society with any refuge whatsoever, the moral imperative is to keep them out of every society that can be considered even remotely civilized.

Mount Gamergate

I’m pleased to announce that every Monday, we’ll be running a regular political cartoon created by Red Meat and me. As for the inaugural cartoon, one could probably suggest 10 or 15 other GGers who belong on Mount Gamergate; the thought of there one day being a giant, topless tribute to Mercedes Carrera is certainly amusing. But for me, when I think of #GamerGate, these are the five individuals who first come to mind.

And, of course, if you’d like to see more of our collaborative efforts, you can find them in SJWs Always Lie: Taking Down the Thought Police.

The idea with these graphic memes is to pass them around. They have been a very effective tactic for #GamerGate because they are one-way communication in pure rhetoric. So, if you’re on Twitter or other social media, I would encourage you to do so.

Rise of the ultras

The result of the recent Greek parliamentary election is in line with my prediction of the European ultra-nationalists coming to power in two election cycles.

Golden Dawn, one of Europe’s most violent far-right parties, has emerged as one of the biggest winners of Sunday’s general election in Greece, consolidating its presence in parliament and power on the streets. The neo-fascist group came in third with 7% of the vote, behind the triumphant leftwing Syriza and conservative New Democracy….

“Golden Dawn is a movement of power, it is not a protest movement any
more,” the party’s Swastika- tattooed spokesman, Ilias Kasidiaris, told
Star TV as it became clear that the extremists had retained their
position as the country’s third biggest political force. “Golden Dawn is
the only party seeing an increase in its percentage. In October when
Greeks begin to experience the consequences of the memorandum and
illegal immigration you will see our support increase radically,” said
the former marine, berating the country’s mainstream media for
boycotting the party.

With 18 MPs in the 300-seat house, around 500,000 Greeks cast ballots
in favour of Golden Dawn. The organisation performed especially well in
Attica, the greater Athens region and the Aegean islands of Lesbos and
Kos where voter support doubled. Both islands have been overwhelmed in
recent months by thousands of refugees and migrants fleeing conflict and
poverty.

Golden Dawn’s anti-immigrant stance at a time of mounting fears over
Greece’s frontline role in Europe’s biggest humanitarian crisis in
recent history, almost certainly helped. The party, portraying itself as
the “only nationalist choice” played heavily on fears that Greeks could
soon become a minority in their own country. But, so too, did its
shrill opposition to the internationally sponsored bailout accords, or
memoranda, that the extremists have said amount to “ethnocide” or death
of the nation. Polls showed that some 16.6% of those who voted for
Golden Dawn were victims of record levels of unemployment – the most
grievous side-effect of massive budget cuts and lay-offs enforced as the
price of being bailed out to the tune of €326bn creditors in the EU and
International Monetary Fund (IMF).

“In terms of absolute numbers Golden Dawn was the only party to hold
its ground,” said Aristides Hatzis, political commentator and Athens
University professor.

The Fascists and the National Socialists came to power in the 1930s because they were the most credible options available to the Italian and German publics at the time. Don’t confuse the beginnings with the ends; 1933 was not 1941 or even 1939. Fascists were not elected with the idea that they would throw in with German imperialism (it is usually forgotten that Mussolini was an ally of France and Great Britain and only threw in with Germany after Great Britain betrayed Italian interests), and the National Socialists were not elected because they promised they would invade the Soviet Union, slaughter the Jews in Eastern Europe, and get Germany into a war with the USA.

One can’t learn anything useful about the future prospects of revolutionary parties by what other revolutionary parties did AFTER they came to power, one can only learn about their prospects by looking at what the other parties were doing BEFORE they came to power.

The worst thing about the established anti-nationalist European parties is that they have failed so spectacularly that even the violently murderous anti-immigrant parties will be preferred to them by even the most sane and civilized elements of the electorate. In a time of invasion, it doesn’t matter how dangerous the only party willing to defend you might be, what matters is that they are the only ones willing to defend you, your family, and your children.

As for those who are historically ignorant enough to point out that Golden Dawn only won 18 seats in the Greek parliament with 7 percent of the vote and therefore will never come to power, I will type very, very slowly and point out that in 1928, five years before they took power, the National Socialist Workers Party won 12 seats in the German parliament with 2.6 percent of the vote.

Two election cycles. And then you will see an absolute sea change in Europe. And if the EU attempts to entirely abandon even the pretense of democracy in defense of the invasion, the change will come even faster. And harder.

Vox and the Fat Man

The great Cuck Defender Charlie Martin has been proving that he doesn’t care for two days now. A brief selection:

Charlie Martin
He’s made a bald assertion to which he himself is a counter-example.  It’s vacuous.

Charlie Martin
Vox has made the point that he’s  Italian now. Somehow his “race” hasn’t stopped adopting a new culture

Charlie Martin
As with his assertion that I don’t speak German. I answered in my “native” dialect of German.

Charlie Martin
And when he realizes he’s made a fool of himself he tries to change the subject.

Charlie Martin
And like a lot of “deep thinkers”, when caught out, he gets pissy.

Charlie Martin
So he veered to “fatty” — which hurt my feeling when I was six, not so much at 60.

Charlie Martin
Like a lot of other Great Men, he’s a childish bully and a shallow, petulant little man.

Charlie Martin
like a lot of other Great Men, he’s gotten a collection of sycophants who prefer following to thinking.

Charlie Martin
But as Trump, Obama, Sanders, and a million others have demonstrated, followers don’t make you smart.

Vox Day ‏@voxday
I’m sure if you just tweet 30 more times, you’ll convince everyone you don’t care, El Chubbo.

Charlie Martin
You’re a small little man whose major recent accomplishment was stealing someone else’s idea.

Vox Day ‏@voxday
So the Doritos didn’t do the trick? Perhaps you should try pizza, Chubbawumba.

Charlie Martin ‏@chasrmartin
And you still can’t get beyond middle school taunts.

Vox Day
That is all your butthurt rhetoric merits. I want you to be able to comprehend them, after all.

The trick is to leave them to it once they’re triggered. You don’t want to overdo it; that’s just sadistic. Just step in every now and then and give them a little slap to keep them spinning. Like all Gammas, El Chubbo has been looking for an opportunity to “get even” since the last time he was publicly slapped down, which is why he jumped in to white knight David French, but he’s too caught up in his delusion bubble to grasp how far over his head he’s found himself.

The revelation here is that Charlie Martin has apparently been prone to having weight problems as long as he can remember. That’s the psych tell that explains his otherwise overly defensive behavior. And sure, while it makes perfect logical sense that a petty taunt about his weight should bother him less at 60 than at 6, the emotional reality is that it bothers him more. That’s why it triggered him for two straight days.

The reason is that after all this time, after all these years, after all his various adult accomplishments and efforts, he’s still dismissed as the little fat boy. It’s not actually my taunts that cause the emotional pain that set him off, it’s the memories of past pain that they induce in him. That’s why they’re called “triggers”.

It’s also why Gammas find their attempts to trigger me so futile. Notice how their attempts are always all over the place; they are searching, in vain, for something that hurts. Perhaps because they can’t identify with jocks, they never seem to grasp the psychological implication of my not only having been smart as a child, but an elite athlete as well. I’m not saying that I don’t have emotional triggers because we all do. It’s just that mine have absolutely nothing to do with the average intelligent individual’s.

I may have to reconsider women’s sports

Sure, they don’t grasp either sportsmanship or emotional continence, but that doesn’t mean they don’t offer considerable entertainment in their own right:

By the side of the green, Hull could clearly be seen walking towards the next tee in a gesture that golfers the world over will recognize as the tacit concession of a tiny putt. Lee duly scooped her ball up, only to be met by Pettersen’s fiery insistence that no such concession had been made. ‘Europe one up,’ declared the referee, who had no choice but to apply the dictum: rules are rules.

Cue pandemonium. Down the 18th hole the European coterie of captains and assistant captains debated what had happened. Surely one of them could see it drove a coach and horses through the idea that the spirit of the game is a vital part of the integrity of these matches?

Under the rules they had the opportunity to offer a concession of the final hole and make things right. It cried out for strong leadership – or just common sporting decency, for that matter – but sadly none was forthcoming from the captain, Carin Koch.

It says everything about the grotesqueness of it all that Hull had taken her record to four wins out of four – and yet still ended the match in floods of tears.

Awesome. Frankly, I think women’s sports would be a lot more popular if they stopped trying to imitate the men and just embraced the full extent of cattiness and head games that women are capable of bringing to intra-sexual relations.

This will serve as your NFL open thread.
