An archeological synchronicity

The combination of pyramids and eyes never seems to bode anyone very well:

An enormous ancient Chinese pyramid has been discovered in an 4,300-year-old lost city, which regularly hosted human sacrifices and was once one of the largest settlements in the world. The astonishing find was documented in the latest issue of the journal ‘Antiquity,’ in which researchers revealed that the newly excavated step pyramid is at least 230ft high and covers a staggering 24 acres at its base.

The article, written by a team of professors at universities in China and California, says the city, now named “Shimao,” flourished for five centuries across a 988-acre region surrounding the pyramid, making it one of the largest cities in the world.

The pyramid is decorated with eye symbols and part-human, part-animal figures which, the researchers say, could have given the pyramid religious power in the eyes of the Shimao citizens of the day. Both the city and pyramid were surrounded by a series of sophisticated defensive stone walls, ramparts and gates, which the team says indicates highly restricted access to the complex. Decapitated human heads were also discovered, suggesting human sacrifice was a popular tradition at the time.

Do you ever get the unsettling impression that this isn’t the first time the human race has been through this whole technological cycle?

Chung Kuo in the USA

A simulation of Harvard’s admission model sans affirmative action is already indicating that the future of the USA is neither white supremacist nor civic nationalist nor a branch of the Israeli military nor a pan-civilizational utopia populated by vibrant people of diverse color, it is as a Chinese-ruled satrapy.

Even with the admission department stacking the deck against them, Asians account for 22 percent of the latest Harvard class, up from the 16.5 percent that has mysteriously been the average for decades despite growing numbers of Asian applicants. And I’ve seen a model showing that if Harvard were to practice a strict test-based meritocracy, that figure would rise to 51.6 percent.

How is either situation to the benefit of the American posterity, I wonder?

Ron Unz has been the thought-leader on the subject, and his most recent article has a graph that very clearly demonstrates the anti-Asian bias at the elite universities. The two rising lines are the young Asian population and Asian enrollment at Caltech from 1990 to 2011, although the latter also appears to have begun to level off contra the population trend in 2008….

Oprah for men

Roosh explains why Dr. Jordan Peterson has sold whatever shattered fragments remain of his tortured soul:

Why has Jordan Peterson betrayed his red pilled audience? Peterson signed with the LA-based media agency CAA and had an informal screen test with Dr. Oz and Oz’s producers. This coincided with the planned  Kavanaugh tweet to give him a patina of moderation and separate him from the alt-right, ultimately making him more palatable to TV advertisers. The end goal is to voluntarily neuter him by giving him a massive paycheck and daily show talking about diet, relationships, and family like Dr. Phil.

I suspect the Weinstein brothers were heavily involved in making the initial contacts meetings, but the CAA media agency in LA is pushing this hard as well. They have a comprehensive plan to accomplish it. No idea if Jordan Peterson is enthusiastic about participating but I fear he has already made up his mind. Just look at the social responsibility page of CAA; it’s just absolutely littered with all the specific woke SJW nonsense Peterson specifically said never to associate with. He’s destroying, I mean destroying his brand. This was the cornerstone of his brand, now he’s about to cash in with CAA.

The only problem with this theory is that it assumes Peterson didn’t gladly sell his soul already. And he did; he is content manufactured by a Canadian television impresario who was on the lookout for someone he could market. CAA is just the call-up to the big leagues, nothing more. The goal is to create an Oprah for men, less because a male Oprah will further weaken a generation of spineless American men and render them more compliant, but because a male Oprah will make a lot of money for an industry that is literally under siege from every side.

Mailvox: R U bored?

A Youtube commenter wonders if I find life to be boring:

Because of your understanding of human behavior, is life boring to you? Or have you lost your faith in humanity?

People are mostly boring to me. Their behavior is highly predictable, both on the micro and macro levels. I have no interest in what Suzy said about Jennifer or in learning that yet another alpha or gamma has offered additional evidence to support what I know to be his natural behavioral patterns. An Alpha cheated on his wife? Quelle surprise! A Gamma is depressed because his One True Love failed to return his affections? Color me shocked! A Delta’s wife thinks he works too hard and was wrongly passed over for promotion? Will wonders never cease!

But I have not lost my faith in humanity because my faith is it is not based on unpredictability or entertainment. My faith in humanity is continually refreshed by the small tokens of good faith, of loyalty, of generosity, and of self-sacrifice that I witness on a daily basis.

While people are boring, life is always intriguing. I wouldn’t be bored if I had 500 lives to live. Every day, I wish there were more hours because there are so many different things I would like to do, so many questions to answer, so many objectives to accomplish.

And I haven’t even begun to write what I anticipate will be my magnum opus. AODAL is merely the warmup.

Mailvox: suspicions of jealousy

Stanley is convinced that I simply MUST be jealous of Jordan Peterson:

You say you’re not jealous of Peterson, but somehow I suspect you are, whether consciously or not. The whole ‘St. Jordan Peterson’ thing raises those suspicions. He never pitched himself as a saint. If yourself or others began to picture him like that and have now become disappointed that he’s merely human, that’s your own failing. He is, however in my opinion a great man doing his best to steer humanity in a positive direction as we all should.

It’s really remarkable how all of Peterson’s fans are incoherent too. It’s as if the incoherence and illogic is infectious. What these lunatics never seem to grasp is that all their nonsensical accusations accomplish is to inform us of their own emotional predilections.

However, the truth about Jordanetics is penetrating some Jordantologist skulls:

I wish I would have tapped into you before I tapped out $400 for tickets to go see Peterson, upcoming on Nov. 21st. I “worshiped” this guy. Now I feel like a fool. I will not go sit in that front row seat. It will be empty.

That’s the thing about Jordanetics. Once you see through him, you can’t unsee it. But dude, just sell the ticket.. the greater fools are out there, guaranteed.

The end of empire

More and more people are beginning to be able to see the endgame is in sight:

We’re getting close to the end now. Can you feel it?  I do.  It’s in the news, on the streets, and in your face every day. You can’t tune it out anymore, even if you wanted to.

Where once there was civil debate in the court of public opinion, we now have censorship, monopoly, screaming, insults, demonization, and, finally, the use of force to silence the opposition. There is no turning back now. The political extremes are going to war, and you will be dragged into it even if you consider yourself apolitical.

There are great pivot points in history, and we’ve arrived at one. The United States, ruptured by a thousand grievance groups, torn by shadowy agencies drunk on a gross excess of power, robbed blind by oligarchs and their treasonous henchmen and decimated by frivolous wars of choice, has finally come to a point where the end begins in earnest. The center isn’t holding… indeed, finding a center is no longer even conceivable. We are the schizophrenic nation, bound by no societal norms, constrained by no religion, with no shared sense of history, myth, language, art, philosophy, music, or culture, rushing toward an uncertain future fueled by nothing more than easy money, hubris, and sheer momentum.

The tragedy is that it was always unnecessary. All Americans had to do was keep doing what they had been doing for decades. But instead, they listened to the whisperings of evil-minded foreigners in their ears, and decided to destroy their nation.

Foreign entanglements

One significant aspect of immigration that is often overlooked is the way in which it tends to increase tensions between the two countries involved.

Speaking last month at a Washington think tank, Rushan Abbas relayed tales of suffering she had heard about China’s repression of ethnic Uighur Muslims — including the detention of members of her husband’s family in a widespread system of mass internment camps.

Within six days, Abbas’ ailing sister and elderly aunt disappeared from their homes in northwest China. No family members or neighbors have heard from them in more than a month.

Abbas is an American citizen and Virginia resident; her sister has two daughters and both live in the United States. They all assume the women are being detained in the camps, which Western analysts estimate hold up to 1 million people.

Abbas said they had fallen victim to the persecution against which she had been campaigning — and because of her.

“I’m exercising my rights under the U.S. Constitution as an American citizen,” Abbas, a business consultant, said from her 12th-floor office in Rosslyn, Virginia, overlooking the Key Bridge and Potomac River. “They shouldn’t punish my family members for this.”

Why should the USA care how China treats its own citizens? Why shouldn’t China punish the family members of a disloyal citizen? And why should China care what happen to be the rights under the U.S. Constitution?

The neo-liberal world order is a huge, unwieldy mass of contradictions and false narratives. That’s why it is collapsing even faster than the Soviet Union did.

Accepting the minimum truth

The Economist is attempting to square the circle between standing by its globalist principles while minimizing the inevitable political consequences of those principles:

Matteo Salvini, Italy’s hard-right interior minister, deputy prime minister and leader of its Northern League, is surging in the popularity polls. Mr Salvini is likely in due course to become Italy’s leader in large part because of his uncompromising stance on immigration. “People whose only contact with immigrants is with the Filipino servant who takes the dog for a walk in the evening are in favour of immigration, but they have no idea of how immigration is lived in the peripheries,” he said in July.

That, in a nutshell, is the charge made against smug liberals who champion “open borders”. They get all the benefits of large-scale migration from low-wage countries: cheap nannies, Uber drivers, decorators, waiters, sandwich-makers, chambermaids and dog-walkers. But they don’t rely on public housing, tend to have private health-care and often pay for private education so that their children are not brought up in classes where, in some cases, their native tongue is spoken by a minority.

Meanwhile those locals not so fortunate as the cosmopolitan elite (who kid themselves that they deserve their good fortune because they worked hard, ignoring that they started life on third base) often compete with people who will work for less because they are prepared to live in dorms or bedsits, having left their families at home.

It is a crude oversimplification. Economically, migrants are a net plus. European Union migrants in Britain, for example, typically contribute more in taxes and take less in benefits than the natives they ostensibly “compete” with. In global utilitarian terms, the benefits of migration to the migrants themselves are much greater than the downside, if indeed there is one, to the native-born. For the host country, more labour means a bigger economy, so that more money is available to be spent on the schools, hospitals and houses needed to accomodate the newcomers (though in these straitened times the money is often not spent on doing that). The liberal case for more immigration is pretty clear.

The trouble is, many liberal leaders forgot to ask citizens if they wanted large-scale migration from distant lands. And it turns out that a large number of them did not.

What the Economist calls “a crude oversimplification” is the truth. What is actually “a crude oversimplification” that is false is the claim that “economically, migrants are a net plus”. That claim is only viable in certain circumstances, when GDP is substituted for native economic wealth per capita.

In fact, given the way GDP is measured, it is a tautology; moving the entire population of China into the United States would also be a net plus, economically. The Japanese invasion of Manchuria was also a massive net plus, economically. The fundamental error of the Economist is to assume that all economic growth is intrinsically desirable, no matter what the cost.

They moved in place

The civic nationalists just don’t realize it yet.

That’s an important thing our side needs to grasp. For most white people, individualism, civic nationalist, anti-racism and so forth are what define their life as a citizen. To abandon those things would be the same as moving to another country. People do walk away from the friends and family to start new lives. Many of the people reading this have ancestors they knew, who left the old familiar to become Americans. For most Americans, though, this is the destination, so leaving it is like abandoning the point of their life.

The reality is, America is going to be a majority- minority country, at least while it remains a country. There is no changing that demographic reality. Robert Stacy McCain is right about “summoning men of goodwill to our banner.” We will need numbers to contend with the rising brown tide that threatens the West. It’s the “goodwill” part that our side must always keep in mind. Converting these normies is about convincing them that rooting for your own team is the moral thing to do, the thing men of goodwill do. That’s our challenge.

Key phrase: “while it remains a country”. It won’t. It can’t. The empire is already observably in decline and unsustainable. The USA can no longer be considered a nation-state because the state is no longer synonymous with the nation.

The lies will not hold. They never do over time. All the nonsense about “men of goodwill” and “patriots bleed red” and “creedal nations” will no longer be believed by anyone, anywhere. It’s already rejected by anyone of significant intelligence who is paying attention. So, signal your virtue all you like, proclaim the “Brotherhood of Man” to your heart’s content, avert your eyes from the terrible reality if you must, but none of it will make any difference to those to whom you are so desperately signaling when the Red Horse rides.

The challenge posed by Zman isn’t wrong, it’s just irrelevant. It won’t be too much longer before the ships are sunk and the caravans are strafed, because mass immigration is invasion.
