A private jet traveling from Moscow to St. Petersburg crashed on Wednesday in Russia’s Tver Region. The Russian Emergencies Ministry said all 10 people on board had died. Rosaviation has since said that Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Wagner Private Military Company, was listed among the passengers.
“The Embraer plane was flying out of Sheremetyevo to St. Petersburg. There were three crew and seven passengers on board. They all died,” an Emergencies Ministry official told TASS.
If it’s genuine, I can’t see how this will have any effect on the wars in Ukraine or Africa. And it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if he next popped up making bombastic broadcasts in Mali or South Africa.

Wang Wenbin: The US imposed those illegal sanctions on Chinese officials under the pretext of Tibet-related issues and in disregard of the facts. This move gravely interferes in China’s internal affairs, harms China’s interests, and violates basic norms governing international relations. We firmly oppose and strongly condemn it.
The human rights conditions in Tibet are at their historical best, as witnessed by the international community. The region has long enjoyed a booming economy, harmonious and stable society, and effective protection and promotion of cultural heritage. The rights and freedoms of all ethnic groups, including the freedom of religious belief and the freedom to use and develop their ethnic groups’ spoken and written languages, are fully protected. As is commonly seen around the world, there are boarding schools across Chinese provinces and regions to meet the need of the local students. In the case of China’s Tibet, this is a region of high altitude and highly scattered population in many areas. For children from herding families in particular, they have to travel long distances to get to school. If schools were to be built in every place the students live, it would be very difficult to ensure adequate teachers and quality of teaching in each school. That is why boarding schools have been set up as a practical way to ensure all children’s equal right to education. It is entirely up to the students and their parents whether to go to boarding schools or not. Students can choose to go home on every weekend, holiday and festival (including traditional Tibetan festivals such as the Tibetan New Year and the Shoton Festival), as well as during the winter and summer breaks. Parents can visit their children at school any time and take their children home whenever needed. Courses of traditional culture, such as Tibetan language and literature and folk dance, are widely available, traditional food unique to the Tibet Plateau is provided, and students are allowed to wear traditional dresses at these schools. The boarding schools in Tibet are examples of human rights and cultural heritage protection. The so-called “forced assimilation” is pure fabrication.
In contrast, throughout the US history, more than 4.7 million Native Americans were slaughtered, and people of Asian and African descent and other ethnic communities suffer daily from the scourge of racial discrimination. In recent years, the US’s armed invasion has led to millions of casualties in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria. The US needs to reflect on itself, instead of styling itself as a judge and wantonly meddling in other countries’ internal affairs by wielding the big stick of “human rights”.
I need to stress that Tibet-related affairs are purely China’s internal affairs that brook no foreign interference. The US needs to respect facts, fulfill its commitment on Tibet, stop using Tibet-related issues to meddle in China’s internal affairs and undermine China’s interests, and immediately withdraw its wrong decision. Otherwise, there will be a resolute response from China.
To say that the USA is badly losing the battle for global hearts and minds would be an understatement. All the USA really had going for it once the rest of the world industrialized in the aftermath of WWII was a) its military and b) the dollar. And international confidence in both are rapidly falling.
What makes the Chinese so formidable on the global stage is the fact that unlike Europeans, they understand the influence of word magic. And unlike Clown World, they understand that power trumps influence.

That’s another reason to turn down a record deal that most people don’t appear to have considered. You can’t sign one if you’ve already got one.
The initial conclusion appears to be that this is a Conservative Inc. campaign. If so, then my guess is that it’s ultimately intended as an anti-Trump play. So, watch to see whose presidential campaign the Bard of Appalachia appears at for potential confirmation.

Jason Howerton seems to be the key player involved in the astroturfing campaign. He’s the CEO of Reach Digital, which helps “media companies and political influencers grow their social media footprint exponentially.”
Jason was one of the first accounts heavily promoting this song as he provided a background on Oliver Anthony and his faith. Jason indicates that Oliver Anthony had been contacted to record the song. Jason also admits he even covered the cost to produce the record.
So who wrote the song? And how did so many big right wing-accounts have the video ready to post simultaneously?
You can like the song, and like its message without gaslighting us into believing this was an authentic viral hit by a simple country man with a mic and a guitar.

Always be skeptical of the things that appeal to you. No one gets fooled by that which they hate or to which they are indifferent. People get fooled by that which makes them feel good.

In what feels like day 200 of this month’s heatwave, we’re ready to try just about anything in a bid to cool down. And taking a cold shower seems like a good option, doesn’t it? Well, according to a doctor, it’s something you want to avoid.
It’s believed taking a cold shower in hot weather is actually counter productive. This is because when our body is subjected to extreme cold, it tries to regulate our core temperature. One of the ways it does this is by controlling blood flow to the skin. When it is reduced, heat is retained within the body, meaning although initially a cold shower might make you feel cooler for a short period, you’ll actually feel hotter than you did before after a few minutes.
Think about it. Do they also tell you not to go swimming in pools and lakes because you’ll just feel hotter afterwards? How is cold water magically transformed by its journey through the shower tubes in such a manner that it actually has an anti-cooling effect?
I took a cold shower one hour ago. Not only do I still feel much cooler than I did prior to taking it, but I’m not even sweating now.
First of all, if you’re feeling hotter than you did before after a few minutes, then you didn’t take a cold shower, but a lukewarm one at most. A cold shower is a shock to your system that leaves you shivering when you get out. Don’t dry yourself off either, as letting the water evaporate will prolong the cool period.
Second, while you’re still wet, get settled where a fan is blowing on you. This will make the evaporation process even cooler, as will drinking ice water while you are still cool. The colder you get, the longer it lasts.
Third, the longer you can avoid physical activity after you’ve brought your body temperature down, the longer it will take before you being heating up enough to start sweating again.
I take two cold showers a day during heat waves, once in the afternoon and once in the late evening, and I’m quite comfortable even when it’s over 100 degrees. And I strongly suspect that if I were to measure my core temperature over the course of a day, I could easily falsify the doctor’s hypothesis that blood flow to the skin renders cold showers counterproductive.

Anyhow, it appears that Big Bear continues to bat 1.000. The lesson, as always, is this: everything viral is manufactured. Everything. Nothing goes viral in the mainstream without preparation, authorization, and approval.

Apparently the Iranian military was not impressed by the overwhelming show of force by the US Navy, and now the US Navy would very much like the Iranians to please stop bullying their gunboats.
Dozens of Iranian drones and speedboats swarming two US Navy ships near the Persian Gulf after Washington sent them in to deal with Iran’s renewed threat against one of the world’s most important waterways, dramatic new footage has revealed.
Iran’s navy sent the small vessels to confront the USS Bataan and the USS Carter Hall in the fraught Strait of Hormuz, which sits between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, according to a video published on Saturday.
The speedboats were manned with armed soldiers from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and came within inches of the ships, while drones also taunted the ships and managed to snap pictures right above them.
Chopped up footage taken from several of the drones and speedboats showed Iranian soldiers speaking in a mix of English and Farsi, while a US soldier can be heard through garbled radio responding to the swarm of vessels, though it is unclear exactly what was said.
Iranian media outlets claimed that the confrontation forced helicopters to land back on the Americans ships. The ships, a helicopter carrier and a support vessel that were carrying more than 4,000 American troops between them, were sent to the Gulf in response to Iran’s continued threats of seizing commercial ships in the region.
NATO and the US Air Force have already been exposed as a paper tigers. It’s obviously the US Navy’s turn next. The only surprise may be that it could be Iran that sinks the first US warships, instead of China.
Or, you know, Israel.
