The benefits of immigration

Julia Ioffe@juliaioffe
This #WorldCup has been clear evidence that immigration has changed the “culture” of Europe—for the better.

Sabrina Siddiqui@SabrinaSiddiqui
Sixteen of the 23 players on France’s team come from families that recently immigrated to the country, most of them from Africa. Seven players are Muslim. A testament to how immigrants enrich a country’s culture.

They’re absolutely right. Congratulations to the World Cup-winning “French” team! The people of France must be so proud! From the Daily Meme Wars.

I saw one amusing aspect of this unseemly multiculti triumphalism when a member of my soccer club spoke to an African acquaintance after Nigeria and Senegal were both knocked out. The African said, not entirely without bitterness, “maybe an African nation could win a World Cup if the European teams didn’t keep stealing all our best players.”

Hultgreen-Curie Syndrome in the US Navy

No wonder the Chinese are confidently expanding their blue water navy and asserting their control over the South China Sea. The gender-integrated U.S. Navy can’t even manage to sail straight without getting its sailors killed.

In an 11-hour hearing, prosecutors painted a picture of Lt. Irian Woodley, the ship’s surface warfare coordinator, and Lt. Natalie Combs, the tactical action officer, as failing at their jobs, not using the tools at their disposal properly and not communicating adequately. They became complacent with faulty equipment and did not seek to get it fixed, and they failed to communicate with the bridge, the prosecution argued. Had they done those things, the government contended, they would have been able to avert the collision.

That two of the officers — Coppock and Combs — involved in this fatal incident were female suggests that discipline and training standards have been lowered for the sake of “gender integration,” which was a major policy push at the Pentagon during the Obama administration. It could be that senior officers, knowing their promotions may hinge on enthusiastic support for “gender integration,” are reluctant to enforce standards for the women under their command.

This was the story of Kara Hultgreen, the Navy pilot who died in a 1994 F-14 crash. Investigation showed that Hultgreen had been allowed to proceed in her training after errors that would have meant a washout for any male pilot. But the Clinton administration was pushing for female fighter pilots, which resulted in a competition between the Navy and Air Force to put women into these combat roles. It is not necessary to believe that (a) women shouldn’t be fighter pilots, in order to believe (b) lowering standards for the sake of quotas is a bad idea. Of course, you may believe both (a) and (b), but it is (b) that gets people killed.

It seems obvious that the Pentagon (and the liberal media) sought to suppress full knowledge of what happened to the Fitzgerald in the immediate aftermath of the June 2017 incident that killed seven sailors, in the same way the details of Kara Hultgreen’s death were suppressed. It took investigative reporters like Rowan Scarborough of the Washington Times a lot of hard work to find out what actually happened to Hultgreen. Let’s hope other reporters will dig into what’s happening in our military with the “gender intergration” agenda at the Pentagon now.

The Navy has followed the usual pattern. Declare that women are just as good as men. Discover that they’re not, for one reason or another. Deny that this is true while simultaneously lowering their standards. Dissemble about the reasons things are no longer working the way they should.

This is what the end of empire looks like. One stupid, indefensible decision after another.

UPDATE: Even the famous Gurkhas are being converged.

The Gurkhas are set to open up their ranks to women for the first time. The group, who have served in the British Army for more than 200 years will allow female soldiers to join from next year, but they will have to pass the same gruelling selection test the men do.

That’s what they always say. And then, when the women can’t pass it, they lower the standards. It never ceases to amaze me how no organization ever seems to look at what happened to similar organizations that already did what they are contemplating.

Well, he is

The usual suspects are upset at an MMA champion acknowledging the obvious:

MMA fighter Conor McGregor has sparked outraged after labelling Vladimir Putin ‘one of the greatest leaders of our time’ after meeting him at the World Cup Final.

McGregor posted the inflammatory photo to his 24 million Instagram followers on Sunday showing him posing with the Russian top dog ahead of kick off at the Luzhniki Stadium.

In the photo’s caption, the multi-millionaire fighter said he was ‘honored to attend the event’ and said he had been invited as Putin’s personal guest.

But his antics didn’t go down all that well on social media, as several online commentators blasted him for accepting the invitation.

Remember, his critics are the kind of people who slavered over Stalin and Hitler back in their day. But what world leader seriously compares to the likes of Putin, Xi, and the God Emperor? Merkel? May? Trudeau?

The eight years of unmitigated failure known as Obama?

Lame

I’m pulling for Croatia, but expect France to win on the basis of being better and more rested.

UPDATE: Horrible refereeing today. Griezman takes a dive, wins a free kick, and scores on an own goal off a defender’s head. Croatia answers with a beautiful team goal, only to have the referee hand France a penalty on an obviously non-deliberate hand ball.
It’s not that hard. If the hands aren’t waving around or being used to control the ball, it’s not a foul. This is the first time the VAR system really seems to have gone wrong.

How SJWs take public figures down

All they need is that one kill-quote:

Earlier this week, John H. Schnatter resigned as the company’s chairman after he admitted to dropping the N-word during a conference call with a marketing agency. The 56-year-old billionaire now claims his words were taken out of context and that he was pressured to use the slur.

“The agency was promoting that vocabulary […] And I made it real clear: ‘Listen, we’re not gonna go there. We’re not gonna talk about this,’” Schnatter told Louisville radio station WHAS. “They pushed me and it upset me, and I just said, ‘Listen, other people have used that word. I don’t, and will not use that word and people at Papa John’s don’t use that.’ And that was the comment. But they actually wanted to get into that vocabulary, and I said absolutely not.”

It’s strange, is it not, that these people professing to be so offended by Schnatter have no problem with Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, or any number of people know to have used the exact same language far more extensively.

If this has anything to do with the NFL, it’s mildly amusing to contemplate the idea that this will accomplish anything but sink it faster.

Don’t talk to the media and don’t talk to anyone who has anything to do with the media.

The end of world revolution

This is a particularly interesting article on the end of the Bilderberg era in light of some of the rumors that are supposedly coming out of the most recent Bilderberg meeting. And notice how it all just keeps going back to Leon Trotsky:

The beginning of the end of the Bilderberg/Soros vision is in sight. The Old Order will cling on, even to the last of its fingernails. The Bilderberg vision is the notion of multi-cultural, international cosmopolitanism that surpasses old-time nationalism; heralding the end of frontiers; and leading toward a US-led, ‘technocratic’, global economic and political governance. Its roots lie with figures such as James Burnham, an anti-Stalin, former Trotskyite, who, writing as early as 1941, advocated for the levers of financial and economic power being placedin the hands of a management class: an élite – which alone would be capable of running the contemporary state – thanks to this élite’s market and financial technical nous. It was, bluntly, a call for an expert, technocratic oligarchy.

Burnham renounced his allegiance to Trotsky and Marxism, in all its forms in 1940, but he would take the tactics and strategies for infiltration and subversion, (learned as a member of Leon Trotsky’s inner circle) with him, and would elevate the Trotskyist management of ‘identity politics’ to become the fragmentation ‘device’ primed to explode national culture onto a new stage, in the Western sphere. His 1941 book, “The Managerial Revolution,” caught the attention of Frank Wisner, subsequently, a legendary CIA figure, who saw in the works of Burnham and his colleague a fellow Trotskyite, Sidney Hook, the prospect of mounting an effective alliance of former Trotskyites against Stalinism.

But, additionally, Wisner perceived its merits as the blueprint for a CIA-led, pseudo-liberal, US-led global order. (‘Pseudo’, because, as Burnham articulated clearly, in The Machiavellians, Defenders of Freedom, his version of freedom meant anything but intellectual freedom or those freedoms defined by America’s Constitution. “What it really meant was conformity and submission”).

In short, (as Paul Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Gould have noted), “by 1947, James Burnham’s transformation from Communist radical, to New World Order American conservative was complete. His Struggle for the World, [converted into a memo for the US Office of Strategic Services (OSS, the forerunner of CIA)], had done a ‘French Turn’ on Trotsky’s permanent Communist revolution, and turned it into a permanent battle plan for a global American empire. All that was needed to complete Burnham’s dialectic was a permanent enemy, and that would require a sophisticated psychological campaign to keep the hatred of Russia alive, “for generations”.

What has this to do with us today? A ‘Burnham Landscape’ of apparently, ‘centrist’ European political parties, apparently independent think-tanks, institutions, and NATO structures, was seeded by CIA – in the post war era of anti-Sovietism – across Europe, and the Middle East – as part of Burnham’s ‘battle plan’ for a US-led, global ‘order’. It is precisely this élite: i.e. Burnham’s oligarchic technocracy, that is facing political push-back today to the point at which the Liberal Order feels that it is struggling for its very survival against “the enemy in the White House”, as the editor of Spiegel Online has termed President Trump.

“Burnham renounced his allegiance to Trotsky and Marxism, in all its forms in 1940.”

Sure he did. The Scarlet Pill, redder than red, is to grasp the fact that the Trotskyite communists, the World Revolutionaries, the Neoliberal world order, the New World Order, Bilderberg, the neoconservatives, the Never Trumpers, NATO, the European Unionists, and the Silicon Valley technocracy are all different aspects of the same thing. And their latest vision for global empire has observably failed, and failed faster and more conclusively than anyone would have imagined.

It will be very interesting to learn if the elite can learn from its failures or not. There have been rumors floating around that the European migration is to be reversed for fear that the whole thing will come crashing down amidst a series of large-scale civil wars. Maybe saner minds have prevailed, maybe the God-Emperor is behind it, or maybe it’s just fake news.

Interesting times, to be sure.

CHUCK DIXON’S AVALON #1

From the mean streets of Moseley to the luxurious beach houses of Diamond Beach, crime affects everyone in Avalon. And the presence of the superhumans known around the city as “specials” hasn’t necessarily made life for the average citizen any better, since the local vigilantes are as apt to demand payment for their protection as they are to provide their services for free.

The crime-fighting duo of King Ace and Fazer are true heroes, not vigilantes, as Fazer explains the difference to a reporter interviewing him for the city paper. A hero doesn’t expect thanks or payment, he helps people because it is the right thing to do. And a hero doesn’t kill anyone, ever. All he and the big guy are trying to do is make everyday life better for everyone walking through their streets and living in their city.

But even heroes face temptation.

Chuck Dixon is the most prolific comic book writer in history. Set in the world of Alt★Hero, CHUCK DIXON’S AVALON #1: THE STREET RULES is the legend’s newest creation.

From the first reviews:

  • Chuck is off the leash. Dixon, writer of Conan, Punisher, creator of Bane, gritty as Sandpaper westerns(And PG Wodehouse!), gets to write his take on vigilantes and Superheros without corporate shackles. First issue is a brilliantly written world builder full of action and comedy. Fosco’s art is tailored to the tone.
  • Gritty raw and fun, this is a great issue with Chuck Dixon firing on all cylinders – the art is raw and fun. This is a MUST READ! I was reminded of Chuck Dixon’s early era Punisher stories – this was GREAT!
  • Saw this recommended for me in Kindle Unlimited and thought I’d give it a try. It was really fun, kind of a twist on what you think of as a superhero comic. And the art was awesome!
  •  Chuck Dixon’s name convinced me to try it and I’m glad I did. It’s typical Dixon—expertly plotted and fast paced. A promising start to a new series.
  • This is classic Chuck Dixon. He lays the foundation of a fully-realized universe–complete with heroes, supporting characters, and heaps of action. Fosco’s work sets a perfect tone for the city of Avalon.

Trumpslide 2020 confirmed

Piers Morgan interviews his old pal, the God-Emperor:

Confirmed: He’ll run for a second term in 2020

There has been lots of rampant speculation as to whether Trump will run for President again. It was time to get a definitive answer.

‘Is there any doubt you’ll run again in 2020?’

‘Well you never know what happens with health and other things…’

‘You look fit.’

‘I feel good.’

‘I saw your menu for tonight, pretty healthy stuff… but 2020, are you going to run?’

‘Well I fully intend to. It seems like everybody wants me to.’

I suspect ‘everybody’ is bordering on fake news.

But there it was – official confirmation that Donald Trump will run again.

‘Do you see a Democrat who can possibly beat you?’ I asked.

‘No. I don’t see anybody. I know them all and I don’t see anybody.

‘So liberals could be facing not two more years of you but potentially six?’

‘They do not have the right candidate.’

There isn’t even a Democrat who can keep it close. Donald Trump is already the best U.S. President since the 19th Century and we haven’t seen anything yet. Six more years sounds good.

His bitch they is

The God-Emperor humiliates CNN on the world stage:

President Donald Trump found time to attack CNN, NBC and the British tabloid The Sun, and offer fashion advice to a fourth news organization, while talking to reporters Friday with British Prime Minister Theresa May.

The leaders faced sharp questions at a news conference following their talks, which came between a reportedly contentious meeting of NATO representatives and Trump’s upcoming summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Frequent Trump foil Jim Acosta of CNN tried to ask a question at one point and was rebuffed by the president.

“CNN is fake news,” Trump said. “I don’t take questions from CNN.

“Let’s go to a real network,” Trump said, pointing to John Roberts of Fox News Channel. Roberts asked if there was any way that relations with Russia would improve as long as the country occupied Crimea.

Hilarious. I hope he never changes. If you must talk to the media, that’s the way to do so.

Mailvox: created equality

AP observes that equality is ideology, not theology:

Good response to Rob re: being “created in the image of God” on this morning’s post. I hadn’t thought of that one.

I did a little research into the use of the words “equal” and “equality” in the Bible not too long ago that turns out to support the point you’re making. The words are never used in the Genesis account (as you probably already have noticed), and while erek (the Hebrew) and isotes (Greek for “fairness”) appear here and there throughout scripture, at no point are they used to describe any sort of equality in God’s eyes between one man and another. That concept is simply not there in our Bibles, whether in Testaments Old or New.

Further, to say that two people are both “created in the image of God” is not the same as saying they are equally created in the image of God. There are always more accurate likenesses and less accurate likenesses, as we all know from portraiture, genetics and funhouse mirrors.

Even among Christians there is no “equality” in the sense that is being claimed here. 1 Corinthians 12 talks about how the Body of Christ is constituted of many members, some of which appear “less honorable”, “weaker” and even “unpresentable”. They serve purposes that appear ignoble, and the more “presentable” body members therefore have an obligation to care for these. The apostle Paul hints that these unpresentable members often have hidden value (probably both to God and to us; personally, I suspect their value consists largely in the graces they were created to cultivate in the other members of the Body), but what is very clear is that they were created to function differently. Further, whatever value they do have, no claim whatsoever is made in the passage that the various parts are “equal” in any way, or anywhere else in the Bible, only that they need each other to function properly

This is evident from the real world: nobody functions better and more admirably than the godly mother of a disabled child. The graces cultivated in her by caring for a “lesser part” speak eloquently to God’s real purpose in creating living beings that just don’t work, look, act, think or function as well as others.

Those who claim the Bible teaches equality are reading their early childhood Western propagandization back into scripture with no warrant.

As a general rule, if there is any doubt about a theological position, look with extreme skepticism at the position that is in line with the world’s approval.
