The Faith of the 150 Holy Fathers

That is the correct and original name for what many Christians today erroneously call “the Nicene Creed”.

At Nicaea there were present some 318 bishops, at Constantinople some 150, so the two creeds were distinguished as the Creed of the 318 holy Fathers and the Faith of the 150 holy Fathers respectively. They were so much alike that great temptation was offered to copyists to assimilate their texts. Indeed, as we shall see, the process of corruption had already begun. In course of time the revised Jerusalem Creed, often called Constantinopolitanum, came to be regarded as an improved recension of the Nicene Creed, and inherited all the prestige which attached to the work of the first General Council. From one point of view this development may be justified because the kernel of the teaching of the Nicene Council on the Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ was enshrined in it, leaving outside the husk of the negative warnings, the anathemas.

The interesting question is this: by whom was the great temptation offered? And why does the modern Church not stand by the original Nicene Creed rather than by the corrupted one that relies upon the prestige of the original council despite having been produced 56 years later?

Hence the Library II

You don’t even own your own ebooks anymore.

Owners of Roald Dahl ebooks are having their libraries automatically updated with the new censored versions containing hundreds of changes to language related to weight, mental health, violence, gender and race.

This is one of the strongest arguments against copyright that I can imagine. What prevents Amazon or any other entity with access to your files from completely changing what was previously a copyright-protected text?

And how can the same copyright protect two entirely different texts?

It’s also why we’re providing the ebooks to those who buy our print editions from the direct store.

The End of the Involuntary Non-European

I realize this will sound improbable, if not impossible, to most, but recall when everyone thought I was crazy for forecasting the end of the European Union and the collapse of the United States. I’ve been anticipating that for several years now, although I’ve never explicitly stated it, but now I feel confident enough to state my expectations on the basis of recent developments in genetic science:

The long-dead woolly mammoth will make its return from extinction by 2027, says Colossal, the biotech company actively working to reincarnate the ancient beast. Last year, the Dallas-based firm scored an additional $60 million in funding to continue the, well, mammoth gene-editing work it started in 2021. The woolly mammoth’s DNA is a 99.6 percent match of the Asian elephant, which leads Colossal to believe it’s well on its way toward achieving its goal. “In the minds of many, this creature is gone forever,” the company says. “But not in the minds of our scientists, nor the labs of our company. We’re already in the process of the de-extinction of the Woolly Mammoth. Our teams have collected viable DNA samples and are editing the genes that will allow this wonderful megafauna to once again thunder through the Arctic.”

First of all, despite all my criticism of corrupt modern science, modern engineering is both amazing and cool. I would absolutely love to see the woolly mammoth and other great beasts of the past brought back to life.

Second, consider the implications of the DNA match between the woolly mammoth and the Asian elephant. If similar genes can be edited to turn an Asian elephant embryo into a woolly mammoth, then obviously it will not be much more difficult to turn an Asian embryo into a Nordic European.

Although obviously the genetic engineering could be, and will be, applied in a wide variety of directions, the immense size of the hair-color, contact lens, skin whitening, and plastic surgery industries make it entirely obvious which direction will be generally preferred by parents, which is to say, which way the profitable investment is going to run.

In the future, everyone will be blond-haired, blue-eyed, and beautiful. Whether they want to be or not.

The Folly of Ukraine

Karl Denninger explains how the imperial USA’s interventionist foreign policy is leading up to a Syracuse moment for the US empire:

It was only a matter of time before our so-called foreign policy turned into a serious problem with someone who can punch back.

For decades the United States has arrogated to itself the capacity to tell other nations who they should have as leaders. Who must run said nation, and who may not. The alliances that are to be coddled, and those that are forbidden. This is preposterous, of course, in that national sovereignty is precisely that, yet we have for decades believed we have the “righteous authority” to issue such diktat.

The CIA has toppled some 50 governments over time. Some more-or-less openly, some on the down low. Iran is an infamous one that ultimately blew up in our face. Deciding that the Iranian government was unacceptable because it expropriated the property of a British company, not even a US concern, we interfered, toppled the government and installed the Shah. This ultimately led to the Iranian revolution and the seizure of hostages at our Embassy, never mind a whole bunch of other terrorism.

We are very anti-narcotic and anti-serious drug — except, of course, when the use of the money generated suits us. Then its “oh well” or “oh, that’s sad”, even if the people that die from said drugs are in the United States, and they often are. Oliver North and the cocaine trade that was at the center of Iran-Contra anyone?

The United States was the initiator of events that led to the war in Ukraine. We were fully behind the overthrow of the government there back at the time of Maidan less than a decade ago. Said government was incorrigible, but that’s none of our business, right up until it apparently is and someone gets a wild hair in their backside about where someone’s using the money — or really, really likes the idea of being able to launder some as a US interest. Anything that gets in the way of that is, of course, unacceptable.

But for Maidan there would be no war in Ukraine. But for our continued attempts to do what we did with Turkey and missiles right near Russia there would have been no Cuban missile incident either. Yes, that was a crisis, but it was our making — not the USSR’s. Would you sit back and let some foreign nation put nuclear missiles in Mexico within a few minutes flight time of LA?

Didn’t think so.

Fundamentally the Ukraine problem lies there.

His analysis is correct, although I consider it to be partial and historically incomplete. Here is my not-unrelated perspective: the US empire, like most late-stage empires, is currently run by foreigners who have obtained power and influence through words, money, and the naivete of the native people. Those foreign rulers are now in the process of discovering the massive difference of being a parasite on another people and actually being responsible for all the various challenges of governing a major world power.

Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it.

It should be no surprise that the endeavor is going about as well as it did for the adopted gamma child who is suddenly given responsibility to provide for and protect the entire neighborhood. The challenge is not just beyond his abilities, it is beyond his imagination. And now the people who have never successfully managed a single state the size of Delaware are intentionally seeking direct conflict with the oldest and most successful civilization on Earth as well as with the second-greatest military power in human history.

The odds are not good.

The Cupboard is Bare

Germany’s Defense Minister publicly admits that Germany is totally incapable of defending itself against military attack.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius claimed on Monday that the country’s army isn’t prepared to protect the nation against military aggression. The minister made the remarks during a meeting with fellow members of the Social Democratic Party (SPD).

We have no armed forces that are capable of defending [the country], that is, capable of defending [it] against an offensive, brutally waged aggressive war,” Pistorius said.

The minister said the Bundeswehr is understaffed and under-equipped after decades of neglect from the federal government. Pistorius added that Germany would have to invest much more in its military in order to be up to NATO standards.

Lieutenant General Alfons Mais, the commander and highest ranking officer of the German army, told the DPA press agency on Sunday that the €100 billion previously promised by Chancellor Olaf Scholz would not be enough to make the country’s armed forces battle ready. He further added that “the army that I have the duty to lead is more or less bare.”

It appears NATO has succeeded in at least two parts of its mandate, which was keeping the Germans down and the USA in. But while it prevented the Soviets from invading, it clearly failed to keep the Arabs and Africans from doing so.

Clown World is going to crash so hard that it’s hard to even try to formulate an opinion about what is going to come next. There is absolutely no point in history that decadent and unarmed nations have ever fared well against the barbarians who decide to take their land, their women, and their gold.

If, by this point, you haven’t figured out that all of the ideologies of Clown World, both left and right, are intrinsically destructive, you simply aren’t paying attention. The cult of freedom and capitalism is every bit as satanic and self-contradictory as the coven of feminism and centralized control.

Already #1!

Wow! That’s just incredible! A #1 bestseller on Amazon! Ron DeSantis must be very, very popular, and so smart and an excellent writer! What a great President he will be!

Clown World wants us to believe that everyone is just rushing to read Ron DeSantis’s book now that they’ve finished reading Harry Markle’s record-setting bestseller.

Ron DeSantis’s book is already a #1 bestseller on Amazon
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s “The Courage to Be Free” hits number one on it’s first day of Amazon sales. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s new book went on sale today, and it’s already hit number one on Amazon:

Gov. Ron DeSantis’s book “The Courage to Be Free,” which goes on sale Tuesday, has already hit No. 1 on the Top 100 list of Amazon.

— The Wall Street Journal (@WSJ) February 28, 2023

That’s a perfectly meaningless title for a ghostwritten political book that virtually no one will read, and anyone who does read it will forget the contents within five minutes of finishing it as completely as if his mind was erased multiple times. These “book sales” are just another form of narrative shaping; it’s no different than Ben Shapiro’s radio show being syndicated all over the place or Eric July shattering the comics crowdfunding record previously set by Ethan van Sciver.

I always find it telling that these “bestselling authors” so seldom bother writing a follow-up.

I’m probably one of the few people who actually tried to read Battlefield Earth. It was always near the top of the B. Dalton’s bestseller list and it was a huge science fiction novel, so it must be good, right? I don’t think I finished the second chapter, which really caused me to harbor some serious doubts about human intelligence. And then I learned about Scientology, and marketing, and it all made sense.

The Premier Fake Science Journal

The “science” published in this journal doesn’t even rise to the coin-flip level of professional peer-reviewed scientific publications:

Research scientists and doctors are always looking for grants. Not only so they have a job for themselves, but often can get funding for a place to live and transportation and if you string enough of them together from some very high end donors, you can live really well. The thing is those big donors all have pet causes, so you have to be able to match yourself with one of their causes and then make sure the big donor sees it. The donor wants to see that you have done the work. You also need to make sure your research fits what the donor wants to see to write the big check. Many times, the donor can be a big business who would like another business to be put out of business. If it can be done with some splashy research, that is scientifically backed and looks plausible, all the better. Then, the one big business can send out press releases talking about why some product is awful and then come in a week later with another press release about where consumers should go to spend their money.

The scientists and doctors need a publication that is willing to publish some really shaky science so the doctors can go to the donors and say look at this. We are published in this magazine that even you know. So, give us a bunch of money. The magazine has been around forever. It started as a magazine that just talked about general easy to digest science stuff for the general public and was sold on newsstands. Over the years, it has become more tailored to the scientific crowd. Most of you know the name of the magazine, especially if you were around when it came out and was sold everywhere. Now, it just takes huge amounts of money from businesses and scientists to publish poorly done research papers that most of the time are inherently flawed, but they make ten times what they ever did when it was just for sale as a regular magazine.

The magazine appears to be Scientific American, which rather like the old chestnut about the Holy Roman Empire, is neither scientific nor American these days. But it could just as easily be describing Popular Science, which is now equally devoid of genuine science. UPDATE: Or Nature, which also appears to be a candidate.

The New Atheists always failed to understand the relationship between religion and science. Not only is there no inherent conflict between religion and science, but increasingly, Christianity is proving to be an absolute requirement for science that can be successfully replicated.

Google is a Clown World Creation

Remember, literally EVERYTHING about Clown World is either fake, gay, or quite often, both.

Google “fundamentally started as a CIA project,” according to journalist and author of Propaganda in the Information Age, Alan MacLeod, who has warned that tech giants’ ties with intelligence agencies pose big problems for freedom of information as well as freedom of speech.

MacLeod, who has extensively researched the ties between the national security state and Big Tech, explained to journalist Whitney Webb on the Unlimited Hangout podcast how a prior investigation by Dr. Nafeez Ahmed found that the CIA and the National Security Agency (NSA) were “bankrolling” research by Sergey Brin at Stanford University, which “produced Google.”

“Not only that … but his supervisor there was a CIA person. So the CIA actually directly midwifed Google into existence. In fact, until 2005, the CIA actually held shares in Google and eventually sold them,” MacLeod told Webb.

Ahmed explained that Brin and his Google co-founder, Larry Page, developed “the core component of what eventually became Google’s search service” “with funding from the Digital Library Initiative (DLI),” a program of the National Science Foundation (NSF), NASA, and DARPA.

In addition, the intelligence community’s Massive Digital Data Systems (MDDS) initiative, a project sponsored by the NSA, CIA, and the Director of Central Intelligence, “essentially provided Brin seed-funding, which was supplemented by many other sources.”

Brin and Page “regularly” reported to Dr. Bhavani Thuraisingham and Dr. Rick Steinheiser, who were “representatives of a sensitive US intelligence community research programme on information security and data-mining,” Ahmed shared.

In his own research, MacLeod has found that the CIA’s ties with Google continue today, as “there are dozens and dozens of examples” of former CIA agents who now work at Google, “who had just been parachuted into these positions of extreme importance.”

That is, these former CIA employees often cluster in “trust and safety” roles, which are hugely influential in their management of so-called “misinformation” and “hate speech.” Examples include Jacqueline Lopour, Ryan Fugit, and Nick Rossman.

Such hiring preferences suggest, MacLeod noted, that either Big Tech is “is actively recruiting from the intelligence services or that there is some sort of backroom deal between Silicon Valley and the national security state.”

This tends to raise an obvious question: what other great corporate successes were not organic?

Given the complete inability of Jeff Bezos to do or say anything of any consequence in the last 20 years despite his fame, success, and wealth, it would not be even remotely surprising to learn that Amazon, too, has been a Clown World enterprise from the start. The hokey story about Bezos and his ex-wife boxing books on the floor of their garage has always sounded a little bit too familiar and unoriginal. And then there’s this:

The company started in the humble garage of Jeff Bezos’ house at Northeast 28th Street in Bellevue, Washington…. The start was extremely difficult as it took a full year before the company had finally sold its very first book called “Fluid Concepts & Creative Analogies: Computer Models of the Fundamental Mechanisms of Thought.”

Do you know what sort of entity takes a full year to accomplish what dozens of similar operations manage to do in less than a week? A government contractor. And not to get all Miles Mathis on you, but the choice of the very first book sold strikes me as an inside joke.

It would appear that Brin and Page are frauds who are not primarily responsible for what are believed to be their own accomplishments, just like Bill Gates and many other famous “successful” entrepreneurs in the tech arena. It always puzzled me, back when I had access to various tech circles in the 80s and 90s, how vapid and observably not-particularly astute many of the most successful “businessmen” in tech were. The business history book In Search of Stupidity is a massive chronicle of the mistakes and intellectual shortcomings of the men who ran some of tech’s most impressive successes, as without the public knowledge of Clown World’s interventions, it’s hard to make much sense of many of the industry’s history.

Andy Grove of Intel was incredibly smart and insightful. Bill Gates struck me as clueless and evasive. They guy who founded Skype was entirely legitimate, while the Epic founders were less than entirely straightforward, to put it mildly. On the publishing side, the GT Interactive and Activision executives neither knew nor cared at all about games qua games. In fact, based on what we know about Google and about the post-Gamergate policing of the game space, it would be shocking to learn that the intelligence agencies haven’t been focusing on it and putting their collective thumb on the scale determining winners and losers since 2015 at the latest.

And the convergence of that space would help explain why more and more games aren’t even any fun to play any more.

Increasingly, what are believed to be the differences between “capitalism” and “communism” are proving to be nonexistent. The primary difference between the Chinese “communist” corpocracy and the US “capitalist” corpocracy appears to be that the Chinese openly utilize centralized command-and-control while the US hides its centralized command-and-control behind a false front of a darwinistic free market.
