Notice the huge gathering of atheists, rational materialists and secular humanists who are boldly putting their lives on the line in opposition to a dictatorial government. Now, I think the monks are somewhat misguided in their apparent aims, as democracy is no more inherently friendly to human liberty or a functional civil society than military rule, but I admire their courage and dedication nevertheless.
