YouTube Deplatforms Scott Ritter

It’s getting a little tedious seeing people who insist on relying solely upon hostile platforms affecting surprise upon discovering that they, too, are on the hit list. This must be what it was like in a historical society where people were rounded up gradually, and no one ever did anything because, after all, nothing had happened to them yet.

YouTube has terminated the account of former US spy Scott Ritter and deleted all of his videos on the platform. According to Ritter, the Google-owned social media giant accused his channel of violating the terms of service.

Writing on X, Ritter stated that his channel, ‘The Scott Ritter Show’, through which he attempted to “import Russian voices to an American/Western audience,” had been flagged for ‘hate speech’ and taken down without prior warning or any specific examples of the offense.

Sooner or later, you would think that people would begin to grasp that it’s not necessary to actually break any of the rules to be metaphorically accused, arrested, charged, found guilty, and punished with deplatforming in one fell swoop. Do they seriously believe that everyone who had previously been deplatformed was genuinely guilty? Do they seriously think X isn’t going to do the same thing, sooner or later?

It’s interesting that they targeted Ritter now, though. This suggests that either a) something is going to happen in Ukraine or b) something is going to come out about Ukraine. He’s a fairly esoteric figure; if he was going to be deplatformed over the Special Military Operation, one would have expected it to happen about a year ago. So the question is not why, but why now? If Col. MacGregor is similarly deplatformed soon, that will tend to heighten suspicions.

Anyhow, this is precisely why UATV exists. And this is precisely why I encourage everyone who reads the blog to subscribe to UATV. And speaking of UATV, the SG community has suggested that we launch a DIY channel where UATV subscribers who specialize in useful skills can send videos to the channel moderators who will review and upload them for the benefit of the UATV community.

It’s a good idea, especially since YouTube is getting less and less useful for even the most vanilla subjects, so we’re sorting out how we’re going to make that happen.

Learning from The Legend

I think the format used by the Legend for his highly informative Ask Chuck Dixon videos works a lot better than having people ask them during the live stream, so if you’ve got a question for the upcoming Stupid Question Day, please ask it in the comments of the SG post linked below.

Superchat questions will continue to be prioritized, of course.

Also, the second part of the Material Greed vs Spiritual Wickedness stream has been posted on UATV.

Never Trust the Cloud

As Microsoft contemplates trying to talk future Windows 12 users into using a Cloud-based operating system, Apple aggressively undermines the case for the cloud:

Apple will permanently delete a photo album from iPhones in about two weeks and has stopped uploading pictures to it, the company confirmed.

My Photo Stream is an iCloud service that originally launched in 2011. What the service does is temporarily uploads photos taken on a device so they can be seen on another device with My Photo Stream enabled. It also allows users to import the pictures to that device. Up to around 1,000 photos can be stored in My Photo Stream for about 30 days. They are then automatically deleted from Apple’s iCloud.

But it will no longer be available in just a few days, and users are advised to save any photos they may have in that soon-to-be-deleted photo album. Apple confirmed in a recent bulletin that My Photo Stream will be “shutting down” on July 26. It did not provide a reason for the shuttering of the service that was launched in 2011.

If you don’t own, control, and possess your data, you will lose your data. Even if you’re not deplatformed, there is no guarantee that the platform on which you are depending will continue to exist, as these Apple users are discovering. And the wisdom in building UATV – to which you should definitely subscribe if you have not already – is further demonstrated by the shuttering of GabTV.

Remember “the cloud” is short for “someone else’s computer”.

A Confession

I suppose I might as well come clean about my fake chair and fake library now that the cat is out of the bag. It’s actually just a commercial green screen image that costs $2.99 sold by a streaming software company. My apologies to everyone who was taken in by this shameful deception. I was just trying to impress everyone.

I hope you will find the wherewithal to forgive me for this moral failure.

The Importance of UATV

I don’t talk much about Unauthorized here. I’m much more focused on Castalia and Arktoons, as I’m just not a video guy whereas at this point, I am pretty much a world-class expert on the art of publishing books in various forms and formats. We’re literally working on doing things that no one else has even imaginedon that front.

However, as Disney and the other streaming services circle the drain prior to the beginning of what will eventually be an intense period of mergers and acquisitions that result in the reduction of all of the various services to a Big Three, the fact that UATV is presently featuring 27 channels with more than 5180 videos from creators who have been banned everywhere from Amazon to YouTube is worth mentioning.

Especially because with full access to all content being provided for as little as $5 per month, UATV arguably provides the biggest bang for one’s entertainment buck. Sure, not everyone is interested in listening to me rambling very slowly about the significance of Marshal Zhukov’s memoirs to the current situation in Bakhmut or sitting through three hours of Big Bear ranting about the paucity of evidence for the Moon landings.

But that’s why there is the epic poet of vulgarity, Razorfist, whose epic SILENCE, COMMUNIST dissection of the history of the Disney corporation alone is worth the price of admission. And throw in The Legend Chuck Dixon discussing the art of comics, Professor Rachel Fulton-Brown’s scholarly explication of Tolkien, and more than 20 other channels, and it’s quickly evident that there is more content here than anyone can reasonably watch in a day.

Or a week, for that matter.

UATV is doing fine. This is not a passive-aggressive televangelist-style plea where only your donation can stave off disaster. The devs are gradually adding features while keeping the system running smoothly despite systematically surmounting more challenges than you know about. But with more subscribers, we can start creating more original content and building stronger infrastructure. So if you’re not subscribing to UATV yet, I hope you will consider doing so. Because it does make a difference.

It Was Never About the Trinity

While I have been reluctant to pay the matter any attention whatsoever, I have come to the conclusion that there is a lot more going on here than the usual Internet drama and JimBob is something very, very different than he purported to be when he joined the Bear community and began lavishing attention on Owen. Not only does JimBob increasingly appear to be directly connected to some very bad actors, but his few defenders in the Bear community increasingly appear to be infiltrators as well, as they are shamelessly lying about JimBob, Owen, and now me as well.

For example, JimBob appears to have some connection to this woman, whom he tagged in his 2016 post about pizza-related jewelry.

He also tagged the artist below on the same Instagram post, whose highly-sexualized work is rife the same one-eye symbolism along with plenty of grotesque and evil imagery. There is a LOT more, and a lot worse, than what is seen here.

In response, JimBob’s dishonest defenders have resorted to everything from (a) claiming that the screenshots taken directly from Instagram yesterday, one of which I personally took myself, were fakes…

@WhiskeyDelta It’s a fake screenshot, created by a bear to troll JB. Vox is only sharing it because he’s good friends with Owen. I’m not even sure what site this is on. A search of that exact text finds nothing. If it does exist somewhere, I bet good money the account was created in the last week from an IP in Idaho… I’m not sure what Owen’s end game is here. Whatever happened to the Christian principle of turning the other cheek?

To (b) attempting to redefine the very concept of rhetoric while attempting to change the subject.

@BattleBrotherBear It’s rhetoric because there was no investigation just couple of photos PROVES the TRUTH. Vox and Owen are the wizards…

To claiming that I am lying about the fact that Owen’s subscriber numbers on UATV have increased since the so-called “debate”.

@WhiskeyDelta UaTv doesn’t publish subscription numbers, and Owen’s a proven liar. I stopped watching Owen after this, but in one of his last rants he complained Jimbob was “stealing his audience”. You don’t do that when your cup runneth over.

As I pointed out on Gab, these things are not, as yet, conclusive proof of anything. But the rabbit hole is definitely getting deeper. And considerably darker. It should be informative to see what the VFM and the Troll Hunters learn about the gentleman, his wife, and their associates, as there will certainly be an investigation now.

UPDATE: JimBob’s inept defenders are beginning to retreat. From Gab.

VD: You’re a complete and shameless liar. The screenshots were taken directly from JimBob’s own Instagram page. I took the pizza necklace screenshot dated August 15, 2016 myself.

WhiskeyDelta: Fair enough. I didn’t notice the date.

VD: The date has nothing to do with it. Do you admit that you lied when you stated this? “It’s a fake screenshot, created by a bear to troll JB. Vox is only sharing it because he’s good friends with Owen.”

UPDATE: The genuine Bears have reached a conclusion that appears to be at least partially correct.

Anyone who is defending jimbob is literally defending satanism
