A Terrible Decision

While Walz was an even worse choice, I don’t doubt that President Trump is regretting his decision to choose JD Vance as his running mate.

Donald Trump is ‘lighting up’ his campaign staffers as he hunkers down at Mar-a-Lago after his ‘terrible’ decision to pick JD Vance as vice president, two former aides have claimed.

The former president’s reported meltdown comes from two staffers who worked in the White House under the former president and have since turned on him, as polls show the race with Kamala Harris is getting tighter by the day.

‘I think that he feels this election slipping away from him, and that’s where you’re beginning to see him spiral,’ Sarah Matthews, a former Trump spokeswoman told MSNBC.

Republicans and top donors are worried about Trump’s flailing strategy as he continues to launch vicious personal attacks on Harris and obsess over her personality instead of core policy issues such as the border, the economy and crime.

‘He picked Vance – he knows Vance was a terrible, terrible pick,’ Scaramucci said on the podcast The Rest is Politics.  ‘He’s lighting people up inside his campaign right now about picking Vance.’

Vance was a bad pick, regardless of what the political people said. SSH trumps all political considerations, and from the moment that I saw his fat face and fearful eyes, I knew that Vance was going to neither command admiration from men or attraction from women. This isn’t any ex post facto rationalization; I identified Vance as a probable Gamma from the get-go.

One area where Alphas regularly and reliably fail is the matter of succession. Usually, they fail by selecting a faithful Bravo to succeed them, in the hopes that their long mutual association will have resulted in the Bravo somehow picking up some of the Alpha’s vision and leadership abilities.

This never works. Bravos are not, and never will be, Alphas. The very skill set that makes them so compatible with Alphas, and so helpful to them, renders them incapable when forced to take the Alpha’s role at the top of the hierarchy. But Donald Trump, a definite Alpha, didn’t make the usual mistake in selecting his next Vice-President.

As it happens, he may actually have made a much worse one, at least in socio-sexual terms.

Throw in the fact that he’s a ticket-taker, and it’s such an obviously suboptimal selection as a running mate that it almost makes it look as if Trump is seeking to throw the election. Which assumes, of course, that the votes are even going to be counted with some semblance of accuracy.

Harris-Walz 2024

If the response of Minnesotans who are just slightly right of center are any guide, Walz is actually going to make things worse for the Harris campaign. Literally no one thinks well of him, and contrary to ignorant coastal opinions about a solid Midwestern guy who will do well across flyover country, Walz is a lunatic DFLer who is best known for putting tampons in the public school boys’ rooms at the behest of one of his tranny subordinates.

It’s been reported that the 12 previous choices all told Harris no, so it makes sense that she would finally settle on a man who otherwise would never had any hope of running for a national office. This might actually be a worse vice-presidential pick than Trump’s selection of JD Vance.

The Wall of Silence Failed

Bestselling author Larry Correia comments on cancel culture and Mr. Tubcuddle.

Speaking of cancel culture last week, why is it that most of the liberal authors who gleefully jumped on the slander bandwagon that I was a misogynist who wanted to keep women out of publishing (by my nominating a bunch of women for an award? Beats me. Run with it.) have since gotten outed themselves for being weirdo sexual predators?

But in a completely unrelated note I just heard award winning author Neil Gaiman has been accused of sexual assault by a few different women, but in his defense he claims he’s ONLY been having affairs with barely legal fan girls and the nanny.

Seriously, that’s like 75% of my old detractors who have since gotten busted for some pervy shit. I don’t think anybody has accused George of anything like that, but let’s be honest, he’s too fat to molest anything except a bag of Cheetos. And Scalzi probably reproduces asexually, like a sea sponge or something.

And it appears the silly season has arrived. Because of all the things that never happened, this definitely never happened the most.

I was over at my dads house today helping with some household chores. He lives in a very rural area of a very red state. At the end of the work we went to one of the nearby country bars. It’s the kind of place that farmers, truckers, legit cowboy boot wearers and the working class go to unwind with a cold one.

Vice President Harris was on the TV and the local gun store owner said to his auto mechanic (friends since high school), “You know what? She ain’t so bad. The economy is recovering, nobody’s rioting, and we’re standing up on the world stage again. Can’t believe I’m saying this but ol’ Oakland Kam’s got my vote this year.”

I looked around and all I saw were heads nodding in agreement. I heard a few calls of “Yes sir” and “Damn Straight” from the men around me. Even saw the lonely ball cap wearing farmer in the corner raise his drink with a nod.

I’d assume it’s a parody, except this is exactly the sort of thing that liberal Democrat they/thems who are less familiar with the rural working class than I am genuinely believe a) this is how country folk still talk in the Year of Our Lord 2024, and b) will somehow influence white Republicans.

And who is “ol’ Oakland Kam” anyhow? If I recall correctly, her nickname is “Heels Up Harris”.

Finally, JDA reports that JD Vance is proving to be a negative for the Trump ticket because women don’t like him. Gamma confirmed. And Karl Denninger noticed something very odd about the man’s marital relationship.

So his wife was employed by a California firm that focused on litigation and appeals in San Francisco and DC yet Vance lives in Ohio. That’s a rather interesting arrangement you two have, don’t you think, particularly with three young children in the game.

Oh, I don’t know, Karl. I’m sure he got out there as often as he could. There’s a lot of things for a man to do in San Francisco. A lot of interesting places to visit. A lot of friendly fellows interested in getting to know you…

The Fall Girl

The Director of the U.S. Secret Service finally resigned under pressure:

Kimberly Cheatle has resigned as director of the US Secret Service, after refusing to do so in the wake of the attempted assassination of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

A shooter nicked Trump’s ear during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13, killing one person in the audience and injuring two others before Secret Service snipers managed to neutralize him. Thomas Crooks was able to position himself on a roof that had a clear shot to where Trump was speaking, which the protective detail had inexplicably left unguarded.

Cheatle tendered her resignation on Tuesday morning, one day after an acrimonious congressional hearing during which both Republicans and Democrats accused her of withholding information and refusing to take responsibility for security failures at the rally.

No one ever thinks that they’re going to be the patsy. But you can hardly claim “the buck stops with me” and then be surprised when people expect you to accept the consequences of your responsibility. That being said, while she almost certainly permitted the green flag, I very much doubt that she was the architect of what seems to have been a more complicated assassination attempt than it first appeared to be.

Biden Drops Out

President Biden announced Sunday that he will suspend his 2024 re-election campaign amid mounting pressure from his Democratic colleagues on Capitol Hill, top donors and Hollywood stars after a disastrous debate performance last month.

The unprecedented announcement came as an increasing number of Democrat lawmakers had begun to publicly call for Biden to step aside and the party’s leadership reportedly was engaged in efforts to convince Biden, 81, he could not win in November’s general election against former President Trump, the 2024 GOP nominee who Biden defeated four years ago to win the White House.

It’s not exactly a big surprise. The real question is if his faction is even able to hold on to the Presidency until November.

I suspect it’s less the unsuccessful assassination attempt and more Trump’s willingness to accept Vance as VP that led to this resolution.

The statement from Team Biden, since obviously none of the five Bidens wrote this:

My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.

Two Strikes

I may be wrong about my initial diagnosis of JD Vance as being a Gamma male.

  • CDAN: The payment billionaire finally got what he wanted. He has the possible #2 in his pocket who could very well be the A++ lister in the future. It is amazing what can occur in “meetings” back in the day that leave you vulnerable to being exploited.
  • Charles Johnson: I pointed out that Vance, who would ban all abortions, has no real women around him on his staff. I even went into detail about there are similar comparisons between Vance and Obama on the closeted gay stuff… One of the oddly consistently parts of Vance’s politics has been an opposition to gay marriage, The Nation notes. Why? Is this like Senator Joseph McCarthy — another Republican closet case — being leveraged?

CDAN is referring to Peter Thiel and JD Vance. If true, this certainly would explain why the Republican Party’s longstanding opposition to LGBT rights has suddenly vanished from the platform. And why Mawmaw felt the need to ask young JD if he harbored any particular proclivities.

I’m not saying Vance is a closet case. There isn’t enough information to conclude anything one way or the other. But there is observably a certain buzz about him in Republican insider circles that might not unreasonably be described as a William F. Buckley vibe.

Corrupt Like a Commissioner

We’re going to have to update the old simile, because US Senators haven’t got anything on EU Commissioners when it comes to corruption. Senators at least have to face elections from time to time, and they come much cheaper than anyone would imagine.

The EU Commission concealed details of multibillion-euro Covid vaccine deals with pharma giants Pfizer and AstraZeneca without legitimate reason to do, the European Union’s second highest judicial body has found.

The ruling by the bloc’s General Court covers purchase agreements struck by the EU Commission in 2020 and 2021, at the height of the pandemic, and worth “approximately €2.7 billion” ($2.95 billion), according to the court’s statement published on Wednesday.

In 2021, MEPs requested access to the documents detailing the terms of the deals to make sure that the public interest was protected and the members of the EU negotiating team had no personal conflict of interest. Brussels bosses only provided them with partial access to redacted documents and refused to reveal the identities of the negotiating team’s members.

Brussels promptly reacted to the judgement, which came just two days before a European Parliament vote on Ursula von der Leyen’s bid for a second term as the EU Commission head. She has controversially claimed she deleted key SMS messages between her and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, and will be the subject of a European Court of Justice ruling on the matter expected this year.

It’s always fascinating to see how the biggest champions of “our democracy” are unelected elites whose number one priority is thwarting the genuine will of the people and taking advantage of their position to enrich themselves and their masters. Once more, we see the inversion that is always redolent of satanry.

SSH Analysis of VP Choice

A look at JD Vance from a purely socio-sexual perspective, rather than an ideological or political frame, at Sigma Game.

Let’s have a look at Sen. JD Vance, Trump’s selection as a running mate for the 2024 US Presidential election. Senator. US Marine. Author. Married man with children. JD Vance almost looks like a leader of men here. Senator Vance has clearly done his best to improve his image and make himself look more masculine. But one principle of Sigma Game is that no matter what superficial and temporary changes a man makes to himself, his core behavioral patterns are always going to be there and will tend to resurface over time and under stress.

So, is this bearded, resolute visage the true face of JD Vance? Almost certainly not.

This could prove to be a fascinating test of the SSH as a predictive model if the conclusion turns out to have been correct.

The Unaccountable Executive

The buck stops with her, but she refuses to take responsibility for her failures.

During a portion of an interview with ABC News that was aired on Monday’s broadcast of “World News Tonight,” Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle stated that the assassination attempt on 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump “should have never happened” and “The buck stops with me,” but she does plan to stay in her position.

Cheatle said, “This is an event that should have never happened.”

ABC News Chief Justice Correspondent Pierre Thomas then asked, “Who is most responsible for this happening?”

Cheatle responded, “What I would say is, the Secret Service is responsible for the protection of the former President.”

Thomas followed up, “So, the buck stops with you?”

Cheatle answered, “The buck stops with me, I am the Director of the Secret Service. It was unacceptable, and it’s something that shouldn’t happen again.”

Thomas then said, “The president and homeland security secretary said today they had 100% confidence in you, but there are some members of Congress calling on you to resign.”

Cheatle responded, “I appreciate the secretary’s comments, and we’re going to continue to be transparent and communicate with people.”

Thomas then asked, “Do you plan to stay on, absolutely?”

Cheatle answered, “I do plan to stay on.”

What’s fascinating to me is the way men know how women are highly reluctant to take responsibility for anything in their personal lives, and yet usually somehow fail to anticipate that women will tend to exhibit precisely the same behavior in their professional lives. That’s the reason for all those meetings, after all, to occlude and spread out the perceived responsibility for any corporate decision, no matter how trivial.

If we all agree it’s a good idea, then no one needs to be held accountable when it fails.

Even if the attempted assassination wasn’t a green flag – and at a minimum, it was a green flag – there is no way that Director Cheatle was ever going to resign her office despite her agency’s egregious and comprehensive failure. Unfortunately, the feminization of the boardroom is such that men no longer expect to be accountable for their executive failures either.

The buck never stops with anyone anymore.

Vance is VP

Donald Trump picked Ohio senator J.D. Vance as his running mate on Monday afternoon, choosing a grassroots favorite ahead of more seasoned political operators. The former president left it until the last possible moment, using all his showman skills to leave the world guessing, before opting for 39-year-old Vance. Trump made his announcement on Truth Social, dropping it just as delegates were rubber stamping his nomination as presidential candidate at their convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

It could have been worse. Although the fact that Vance is married to a Hindu probably doesn’t bode well on the immigration front. But regardless, we can hope that the assassination attempt and all of the prosecutions will convince President Trump to stop mucking about with irrelevant things like black employment rates and support for foreign countries and focus on doing to the Deep State what Russia is doing to Ukraine.

Unfortunately, this choice tends to suggest that the old dog hasn’t learned anything at all. About the only good thing one can say for him is that he isn’t Nimrata Haley or Marco Rubio.
