Okay, so let’s say Congressman Swalwell gets his wish, and the government says turn them in or else. And even though the government has become tyrannical enough to send SWAT teams door to door and threaten citizens with drones and attack helicopters, rather than half the states saying fuck you, this means Civil War 2, instead we’ll stick to the rosiest of all possible outcomes, and say that most gun owners comply.

In fact, let’s be super kind. Rather than a realistic number, like half or a third of those people getting really, really pissed off and hoisting the black flag, let’s say that 99{72cf27ffdac1ec816f49e283bd4617ffdd8df37c3501aa744a12e9a9c4d5faff} of them decide to totally put all their faith into the government, and that the all-powerful entity which just threatened to kill their entire family will never ever turn tyrannical from now on, pinky swear, so what do they have to lose? And a whopping 90{72cf27ffdac1ec816f49e283bd4617ffdd8df37c3501aa744a12e9a9c4d5faff} of gun owners go along peacefully.

That means you are only dealing with six and a half MILLION insurgents. The entire active US military is about 1.3 million, with about 800,000 reserve. Which is also assuming that those two Venn diagrams don’t overlap, which is just plain idiotic, but I’ll get to that too.

Let’s be super generous. I’m talking absurdly generous, and say that a full 99{72cf27ffdac1ec816f49e283bd4617ffdd8df37c3501aa744a12e9a9c4d5faff} of US gun owners say won’t somebody think of the children and all hold hands and sing kumbaya, so that then you are only dealing with the angriest, listless malcontents who hate progress…  These are those crazy, knuckle dragging bastards who you will have to put in the ground.

And there are 650,000 of them.

To put that into perspective, we were fighting 22,000 insurgents in Iraq, a country which would fit comfortably inside Texas with plenty of room to spare. This would be almost 30 times as many fighters, spread across 22 times the area.

And that estimated number is pathetically, laughably low.

The bizarre thing that would be amusing if it wasn’t so potentially serious is that the gun controllers think gun-owning Americans will simply ignore their part in this. I find that most of them suddenly decide to rethink the notion of using violence to enforce gun control once I point out that the average government skeptics view of the situation is live and let live.

The converse of which, of course, is come for our guns in our homes, we come for you in yours.

The strategery is astonishing in its subtle read of the electorate:

Several incoming House Democrats plan to introduce gun control measures when their party regains the majority next year. Gun control proponents are buoyed by the takeover of the House. Democrats ousted at least 15 House Republicans who had an “A” rating with the National Rifle Association with candidates who received an “F” rating, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Rep. Mike Thompson, D-Calif., told the Journal on Friday that he plans to introduce legislation that will mandate universal background checks. Thompson is chairman of the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force.

Clearly they only won due to their support for gun control. The American people LOVE gun control.  Run, Democrats, run!

In a cruel twist of fate, dozens of people who survived the Las Vegas shooting were inside the Borderline bar when Long opened fire.

‘It’s the second time in about a year and a month that this has happened,’ Nick Champion told OnSceneTV. ‘I was in the Las Vegas Route 91 mass shooting, as well as probably 50 or 60 others who were in the building at the same time as me tonight.’

Champion and his friends were inside country music bar Borderline Bar and Grill for student night Wednesday, when ex-marine Ian Long, 29, stormed in, shooting dead 11 before turning the gun on himself. He and other Las Vegas survivors considered Borderline a ‘place of healing’ and gathered at the same bar for a memorial on a student night earlier this year.

It could just be a coincidence. Of course, both Q and Fox Mulder have repeatedly informed us that there are no coincidences. Perhaps this is a matter for the Winchester brothers and there is a country-music hating demon haunting the music venues of the West.

Democrats are going to run on gun control in 2020. Can you spell TRUMPSLIDE?

Newly ascendant Democrats are promising congressional action on gun control amid a rash of mass shootings, including a late-night assault at a California bar that killed 12 people. Measures including expanded background checks and a ban on assault-style weapons are likely to reach the House floor when Democrats retake control after eight years of Republican rule.

“The American people deserve real action to end the daily epidemic of gun violence that is stealing the lives of our children on campuses, in places of worship and on our streets,” said Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California, the Democratic leader who is running for a second stint as House speaker.

Pelosi vowed to push for a range of actions to stem gun violence, including restrictions on high-capacity magazines and a measure allowing temporary removal of guns from people deemed an imminent risk to themselves or others.

They never, ever, learn. They never will learn. Because NPCs lack the capability.

It’s interesting to see that the police actually responded rather than “setting up a perimeter outside the building” like they do for school shootings:

Five people are dead and many more injured after a lone shooter opened fire with a long gun inside Maryland’s Capital Gazette newsroom.

Police responded within 60 seconds to reports of an active shooter at the newsroom in the 800 block of Bestgate Road, Annapolis, at around 2.40pm. Acting police chief William Kamph confirmed that five people died and at least three others were gravely injured in the attack.

The suspect has been taken into custody but is refusing to identify himself to authorities. He is a white male believed to aged in his 20s. NBC reported that the shooter had a ponytail and was wearing a black t-shirt, olive pants at the time.

Police say the shooter is still being interrogated and they don’t have a motive for the shooting. CBS is reporting that the gunman purposely damaged his fingertips so investigators couldn’t fingerprint him.

I note that Q warned that there would be more attacks in the coming weeks. This thing stinks of chicanery.

Two days ago the President called the media the enemy. Two days ago Milo Yiannopoulos told people to start gunning down journalists. Today an active shooter fires inside the Capital Gazette leaving journalists and others dead. How can any of you support these people?

How many times do we need to go through this routine? If it’s not another left-wing whacko, it’s most likely a live-action version of the fake Pizzagate shooter. Milo likely has it right:

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this shooter – just like the last one at YouTube – is another demented left-winger.

UPDATE: Q is on it. The newspaper shooting appears to have been a stage-managed affair.

Why are Freemasons on the scene of most shooting locations?
Openly giving interviews or in background shots?
Symbolism will be their downfall.

Which is to say, the only correct response is, of course, #wompwomp.

It’s rather amusing to see conservatives falling all over themselves to be the first to denounce the reported SWATting of David Hogg. Remember, these are the same people who claim that they will actually shoot and kill police and other lawful authorities should said authorities ever come to disarm them, but they are denouncing a much milder response to someone actively attempting to lay the foundation for those confiscations.

Let me make a prediction: if anyone does violently resist having their guns forcibly confiscated, conservatives will be the very first to denounce that resistance.

Conservatives simply don’t have the backbone to fight for anything. Not their nation, not their guns, not their families, not even their persons. At this point, I tend to doubt they would have the wherewithal to do more than write a wordy complaint citing the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Gettysburg Address to protest being rounded up en masse and sent to concentration camps.

As many as eight people have been killed Friday in a shooting at Santa Fe High School, according to a source close to the investigation. Galveston County Sheriff Henry Trouchesset said authorities have arrested one person and are still trying to determine if there is more than one shooter. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said in a tweet that two people have been taken into custody and that an officer is being treated for injuries.

No word on David Hogg’s whereabouts, but I’m sure he’ll be on TV soon. A lot.

Sometime on or around April 1, 2018 Broward County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Fitzsimons, 42 years old and in excellent state of mind and health, called in sick to his job. Shortly thereafter Fitzsimons was found dead on his sofa. There has been a complete “news blackout” of this curious and untimely death.

Deputy Fitzsimons wasn’t just any law enforcement officer. Unlike many of his peers, he took to social media to question the potential agenda behind the February 14 Marjory Stoneman High School mass shooting, suggesting that the event was being used to promote the Democratic Party’s gun control platform in anticipation of the 2018 midterm elections. One post found on Fitzsimons’ Facebook page depicts the Parkland massacre’s main spokesperson, David Hogg, in National Socialist regalia, with the caption, “We will March Until We Disarm Every American.”

How will President Trump respond to this outrageous Syrian attack on US soil? Animal Assad must be invaded at once! And Iran too! And the brave US soldiers must not stop until Moscow is occupied!

On an almost completely unrelated note, it is even more amusing to see that the Pakistani mayor of London actually implemented a policy that had hitherto been a joke among the pro-gun crowd. Is it time to start the National Butterknife Association?

On the plus side, the knife controllers won’t have to pry any knives out of cold dead hands, since the butter tends to make them a little more slippery.

One hopes the second attempt will be more successful, and more peaceful, than the first:

South Carolina debated seceding from the Union more than 150 years ago, one of the opening salvos of the Civil War. Now, the topic has come up again, amid a national debate over firearms and gun rights.

A trio of state House Republicans on Thursday quietly introduced a bill that would allow lawmakers to debate seceding from the U.S. “if the federal government confiscates legally purchased firearms in this State.”

Rep. Mike Pitts, the measure’s chief sponsor, acknowledged Friday in an interview with The Associated Press that the bill has no chance of passage this year but pledged to continue to raise the issue based on what he described as a defense of the Bill of Rights.

“Without a Bill of Rights, our nation is not what it is,” Pitts said. “I see a lot of stuff where people even talk about totally repealing the Second Amendment, which separates us from the entire rest of the world.”

It would serve as a serious warning. However, it would be wiser if they seceded over the federal government settling aliens in their state. That’s much more likely to present the people of South Carolina with serious problems than another federal military conquest.
