At some point in time, and I’m not sure exactly when, but some at some point in time after the early 1990s, and I don’t know exactly when it started, at some point in time, people began to act as if failing to understand the obvious was somehow a indicator of intelligence. And we see this all the time. I see it a lot myself on on the blog and so forth. I find it befuddling, you know, I don’t understand what the reasoning is. As far as I can tell, it seems to be striking a superior pose and implying that the other person cannot effectively communicate what they’re saying. I can’t really find an explanation for it that isn’t just based on pointless attention-seeking, or frankly,  an obnoxious sort of implied insult.

I find it very frustrating to deal with this sort of thing over and over and over, every time you say anything. Now I can go ahead and get as pedantic as you like, yeah, if you want to go deeply down and get very, very specific and that sort of thing, I can do that, but I don’t want to. And I especially don’t want to do it every single time I open my mouth. So there seems to be this belief that if you can somehow come up with some possible interpretation that allows you to pretend to be confused as to what the person says, this is somehow a sign of your intelligence.

It’s not. It’s a sign that you’re a jackass. It’s actually a sign that you’re not very intelligent because clearly you’re not able to understand the context. Now, I’m not saying that if you are genuinely confused that you shouldn’t ask, obviously, but the correct question is, the correct way to pose such a question is, to assume the obvious then ask to confirm that. That’s the way you do it. That’s the way intelligent people do it. I mean one of the signs of intelligence is to understand things when you’re only given partial clues. One of the reasons why C. Auguste Dupin, one of the reasons why Sherlock Holmes,  were considered to be highly intelligent detectives is because they were able to ascertain the truth from incomplete information in a way that most people couldn’t. So, if you want to demonstrate your intelligence, don’t pretend not to understand what the person is almost certainly talking about.

To be clear, none of these self-proclaimed pagans are actual pagans. They don’t actually believe in pagan gods, they don’t actually worship pagan gods, they have no knowledge whatsoever of actual pagan religion, and so pagans are atheists, maybe agnostics at most. But the reality is that you have to give them some credit because the reason for this, for lack of a better term, for this paganism, the reason that people are trying to push it, is because they understand you cannot go into a religious war without a religion.

What we’re actually seeing – this is kind of ironic – the interest in paganism, particularly on the part of young Westerners, is a reaction to two things.  Number one, it’s a reaction to the increased number of Muslims in the West, but number two, it’s also a reaction to the complete failure of atheism. It’s a reaction to the failure of secular society. It is now very obvious to everyone that the whole idea that science was going to help humanity develop past religion and and create a society that was this shiny, sexy, science fiction futuristic society where everyone would wear funky 70’s one-piece suits isn’t going to happen. Secular humanism has completely failed and so because of that people are looking for alternatives.

Of course you’ve got the same problem in accepting Christianity. People, especially young people, are resistant to accepting Christian morality, and of course some people simply have problem believing in things that they can’t see. And so when you look at those factors, this is where you get the idiot pagans saying that Western civilization cannot be saved, it’s over and largely “thanks to Christianity which is so homo-Jewish.” It’s not at all, in fact, Jewish homosexuals would be the first to tell you how much and how actively they oppose Christianity. What you guys who are trying to blame the failure of Christendom on Christianity are doing is you’re attempting to saw off the branch that you’re sitting on in order to save the tree. It’s ridiculous. It’s utterly, utterly stupid

Peter Turchin tracks the intra-societal stresses that afflict historical societies, and the odds do not presently favor the current United States:

The fundamental drive (a kind of a “pump” that drives up social pressure) is the oversupply of labor, which developed after the 1970s as a result of multiple interacting factors, and more recently was made acute by technological change driving automation and robotization. Oversupply of labor is the root cause for both popular immiseration and elite over-production/intra-elite competition. Both of those factors, then, contribute to the fiscal crisis of the state, because immiserated population can’t pay taxes, while the elites work to reduce the taxes on themselves.

We saw all those mechanisms operating in our current crisis. Immiseration of large swaths of the American population was what fueled the successful campaign of a counter-elite presidential candidate, Donald Trump. Intra-elite conflict has reached unprecedented heights (since the First American Civil War), as the established elites are using various means at their disposal to get rid of the counter-elite chief of state. At the same time, a weird coalition of Trump and the established elites (remember, laws must be approved by the Congress) legislates deep cuts into the taxes the elites will pay, bringing the fiscal crisis of the state much sooner. Political violence has also reached new heights, although thankfully mostly demonstrators and counter-demonstrators are beaten up, not killed (a major exception was Charlottesville a year ago).

Until last year I thought that we collectively have a decent chance of avoiding the crisis, but I now have abandoned this hope. A major reason for my pessimism is the resolute refusal by our ruling class (including its both Liberal and Conservative wings) to see the real causes of the crisis. They are internal, not external. As a result, the mid-term elections will be completely free of (largely mythical) Russian influence, but no attempt is made to address the deep structural-demographic causes. All these pressures continue to increase….

Over the years I have studied about thirty cases of historical societies going into crisis, and emerging from it, ranging from Rome and China to France, Russia, and the United States. I scored the crisis severity in each by such parameters as the effect on the population (none, mild decline, catastrophic decrease), on the established elites (from mild downward social mobility to dispossession or even extermination), and on the state (territorial fragmentation, external conquest). Adding together these indicators, here’s the result: As you see, the more positive outcomes (lower severity on the left side) are fairly rare (about 10{8359bd26b913e24a7303d212a23546aa4fafa0cfcdec25c849ef881c8a4ae759} of historical cases), while the majority of outcomes cluster in the middle-high severity territory.

I would be very surprised if the results of the coming crisis in the USA does not result in the dispossession and deportation of the established elites, given the fact that so many of them are foreign. As a general rule, foreign elites only survive a crisis when they habitually act in the interests of the masses over which they rule; those which predominantly act in their own interests tend to fare considerably less well.

A paper from 2007 (PDF) explains some of the negative civilizational developments that we have been observing over the last decade. And events quite clearly appear to have proven his thesis largely correct.

In the period before the onset of demographic transition from large to small families, when fertility rates were positively associated with income levels, Malthusian pressure gave an evolutionary advantage to individuals whose characteristics were positively correlated with child quality and hence higher IQ, increasing in such a way the frequency of underlying genes in the population. As the fraction of individuals of higher quality increased, technological progress intensified. Positive feedback between technological progress and the level of education reinforced the growth process, setting the stage for an industrial revolution that facilitated an endogenous take-off from the Malthusian trap. The population density rose and with it social and political friction, especially important at the top of the social pyramid. Thus, from a certain turning point of history, the well-to-do have fewer children than the poor.

Once the economic environment improves sufficiently, the evolutionary pressure weakens, and on the basis of spreading egalitarian ideology and general suffrage the quantity of people gains dominance over quality. At present, we have already reached the phase of global human capital deterioration as the necessary prerequisite for a global collapse by which the overpopulated earth will probably decimate those of mediocre IQ.

On the one hand, this will present opportunities for the cognitive elite. On the other, the downward trajectory of society and civilization is almost certainly going to increase as time goes on, IQ continues to decline, and the r/selected increasingly outnumber the K/selected. The welfare system was bad enough, but combining it with low-quality mass immigration is fatal. The longer the negative cycle persists, the more likely it is that the people of the West will eventually have to choose between utterly ruthless eugenics and total civilizational collapse.

When we look at the history of past high civilisations, it is noticeable that it was a long time before internal decay lead to final collapse (Knaul, 1985). From a certain point on there were nearly only failures. The economy stagnated and the finances of the state and of the cities fell more and more into disorder. The number of people depending on welfare rose from year to year, although each new ruler declared it an aim to lower this number. The security of the citizens was no longer guaranteed; the relationship between man and woman had likewise changed as had the relationship between young and old. The whole society seemed to be stricken by an illness and incapable of making and implementing rational and necessary decisions. Although nobody wanted the decline, the states and their inhabitants accepted policies that steered themselves into an abyss in such a way, as though they had no other goal than falling into the abyss. Today, our situation is similar.

Indeed.

A Court of Appeal rules that “the judge at Leeds should not have commenced contempt proceedings that day” so Tommy Robinson is now free on bail.

Former English Defence League (EDL) leader Tommy Robinson was freed on bail today after his 13 month jail term for contempt of court was quashed – but his case will be re-heard again.

The far right activist, 35, has been in prison for two months after being locked up in May for filming defendents involved in a criminal trial at Leeds Crown Court and broadcasting the footage to 250,000 people on Facebook.

The activist, whose real name is Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon, successfully appealed against his 13-month jail term for contempt of court claiming it was ‘excessive’ and the hearing was ‘rushed’.

Lord Burnett said today the Court of Appeal was allowing his appeal ‘in respect of the committal for contempt at Leeds Crown Court’ – but said the case would have to be be heard again.

Robinson was not present for the ruling and is expected to be released from prison later today.

Of course, the message has been sent: some of those presently in control of the British legal system will seek to protect Pakistani pedophiles preying on British schoolgirls even at the expense of the law.

It’s no wonder all of these churches in Minnesota are dying. They have abandoned the Word of God so the Holy Spirit has left the building and people can sense it.

Minnesota’s mainline Christian denominations face unprecedented declines, altering communities and traditions celebrated for generations.

La Salle, Minn. — For 100 years, Lutherans in this farming community on the Minnesota prairie have come to one church to share life’s milestones.

They have been baptized, confirmed and married at La Salle Lutheran. Their grandparents, parents and siblings lie in the church cemetery next door.

But the old friends who gathered here early one recent Sunday never imagined that they would one day be marking the death of their own church.

When La Salle Lutheran locks its doors in August, it will become the latest casualty among fragile Minnesota churches either closing, merging or praying for a miracle. Steep drops in church attendance, aging congregations, and cultural shifts away from organized religion have left most of Minnesota’s mainline Christian denominations facing unprecedented declines.

St. Paul’s On the Hill Episcopal Church on prestigious Summit Avenue was recently sold to a developer after more than a century of religious service. Bethany Lutheran Church in the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis held its “holy closure” ceremony last fall. St. Michael Catholic Church in West St. Paul celebrated its last mass 18 months ago.

Mainline Protestant churches have been hit the hardest. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) in Minnesota has lost almost 200,000 members since 2000 and about 150 churches. A third of the remaining 1,050 churches have fewer than 50 members. The United Methodist Church, the second largest Protestant denomination in Minnesota, has shuttered 65 churches since 2000.

Once a Christian church goes Churchian, accepts women as leaders, and begins to preach the Gospel of Emma Lazarus and Martin Luther King, it begins to die. Every single time. I find it absolutely astonishing that so few Christians appear able to recognize the very clear and undeniable pattern of church decline and demise.

The blogger at the link notes: La Salle Lutheran Church. It is Lutheran Immigration Services in MN that is largely responsible for the growing Muslim population there. So should anyone be surprised that Lutheran churches are losing congregants.

The discussion on dysgenics and failure migration, which naturally circled back to the conceptual distinction between posterity and the proposition nation, was usefully clarifying for several readers.

Even without non-whites, there will still be Anglo-America, Scots-America, German-America, Scand-America, Cajun-America, etc. This is the source of the problem. Even whites are not homogeneous. The United States is dead, it’s just a matter of what new nations the fragments will form into. No one group is going to win it all.

Both observations are correct. That has been my consistent theme since 2004.

Tibetan religious tradition has it that when the Dalai Lama dies, the Buddha of Compassion leaves his body and incarnates in the body of a young child. The monks immediately go out in search of this blessed child, and when they find him – as they inevitably do – he is tested by a group of high lamas and enthroned as the reincarnation of his successor.

Imagine, however, if the lamas refused to recognize that the Dalai Lama was, in fact, dead. Suppose that instead of going in search of the Buddha’s new carnal home, they hooked the corpse up to a life support machine and waited patiently for the Holy One to awake and rise up. It’s not hard to see that they would be doomed to disappointment, and furthermore, would fail to find the next Dalai Lama as well.

This is precisely our dilemma today, for America, as envisioned by the Founding Fathers, is dead. By every measure, large and small, the original vision of limited government by, for and of the people has been folded, spindled and mutilated beyond recognition. When one reads the Constitution, one simply marvels at the distinct difference between its words and our present reality.

America is dead. Let us go, then, and find her.

Item One: This Fourth of July, nearly 14,000 immigrants become America’s newest citizens, swearing the oath of allegiance at 27 naturalization ceremonies across the nation that coincide with the country’s 242nd birthday and the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. “When oath ceremonies are tied to the Fourth of July, it’s a message that immigrants believe in this country. It’s a beautiful and emotional thing,” Joshua Hoyt, executive director of the National Partnership for New Americans, said. “United nations, from Albania to Yemen, are represented in the ceremonies.”

Item Two: This Fourth of July marks a low point in U.S. patriotism. For the first time in Gallup’s 18-year history asking U.S. adults how proud they are to be Americans, fewer than a majority say they are “extremely proud.” Currently, 47{f82a6d9b5e5cff01d97267394322fca158507b75156f51cfa613d94c4c7ae29a} describe themselves this way, down from 51{f82a6d9b5e5cff01d97267394322fca158507b75156f51cfa613d94c4c7ae29a} in 2017 and well below the peak of 70{f82a6d9b5e5cff01d97267394322fca158507b75156f51cfa613d94c4c7ae29a} in 2003.

How can they not be proud, when “Americans” from Albania to Yemen are now their fellow citizens? And it’s interesting, is it not, that all those nations are represented in the ceremonies.

Notice that the cucks of 2018 are still appealing to the same false justifications to defend the largest invasion in human history that the cucks of 1952 did in order to let it take place. Something like this could have been written by Ben Shapiro just last week.

From Whom Shall We Welcome, REPORT OF THE PRESIDENT’S COMMISSION ON IMMIGRATION AND NATURALIZATION

The greatest vice of the present quota system, however, is that it discriminates, deliberately and intentionally, against many of the peoples of the world. The purpose behind it was to cut down and virtually eliminate immigration to this country from Southern and Eastern Europe. A theory was invented to rationalize this objective. The theory was that in order to be readily assimilable, European immigrants should be admitted in proportion to the numbers of persons of their respective national stocks already here as shown by the census of 1920. Since Americans of English, Irish, and German descent were most numerous, immigrants of those three nationalities got the lion’s share — more than two-thirds — of the total quota. The remaining third was divided up among all the other nations given quotas.

The desired effect was obtained. Immigration from the newer sources of Southern and Eastern Europe was reduced to a trickle. The quotas allotted to England and Ireland remained largely unused, as was intended. Total quota immigration fell to a half or a third — and sometimes even less — of the annual limit of 154,000. People from such countries as Greece or Spain or Latvia were virtually deprived of any opportunity to come here at all, simply because Greeks or Spaniards or Latvians had not come here before 1920 in any substantial numbers.

The idea behind this discriminatory policy was, to put it baldly, that Americans with English or Irish names were better people and better citizens than Americans with Italian or Greek or Polish names. It was thought that people of West European origin made better citizens than Rumanians or Yugoslavs or Ukrainians or Hungarians or Baits or Austrians. Such a concept is utterly unworthy of our traditions and our ideals. It violates the great political doctrine of the Declaration of Independence that “all men are created equal.” It denies the humanitarian creed inscribed beneath the Statue of Liberty proclaiming to all nations, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”

It repudiates our basic religious concepts, our belief in the brotherhood of man, and in the words of St. Paul that “there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, . . . for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”

The basis of this quota system was false and unworthy in 1924. It is even worse now. At the present time this quota system keeps out the very people we want to bring in. It is incredible to me that, in this year of 1952, we should again be enacting into law such a slur on the patriotism, the capacity, and the decency of a large part of our citizenry.

Unbelievable, and yet entirely recognizable. They made all the same appeals to expanding the labor pool we see today, including an implicit “crops rotting in the fields” argument. The commission even did what cuckish conservatives do today, and omitted the bit about “neither male nor female” from the citations of Galatians. So, who were the architects of America’s demographic dismantling?

There’s a comment talking about Steven Pinker. Steven Pinker is pretty much wrong about everything, so if he is asserting that intelligence has not declined, you can pretty much count on the fact that it has. I would not trust Steven Pinker to be able to correctly identify the color of the sky.

So what’s important is the average intelligence, right, that’s what dictates how well society functions and let me show you something before I get to the article that I mentioned. A couple years ago I wrote a book called Cuckservative: How ‘Conservatives’ Betrayed America. I wrote it with John Red Eagle, Cerno wrote the foreword, and let me read you a little selection here of what we wrote:

By multiplying the average measured IQs for the four major ethnic groups in the United States with their changing demographic ratios, we can calculate how the demographic changes have affected the national intelligence over time. In 1960, we calculate the national IQ average to have been 100.3. By 2010, the average national IQ had fallen four points, to 96. By 2030, if the current population estimates are correct, it will fall another point, to 95. Lest you think that average national intelligence is irrelevant, note that just that four-point difference is essentially equal to the difference between countries such as Austria, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, and countries such as Uruguay and Portugal. There is a strong correlation between societal wealth and average national intelligence as measured in IQ.

So you know, we were saying that since the modification in the US immigration policy the average IQ has dropped over five points.  Now I always strongly suspected that we were being conservative there because there are possibly other factors involved. When you look at the fact that highly-educated women, who tend to be the most intelligent women, are far and away the least likely to have children, and there are other factors that are involved as well… so now keep in mind that was something that we wrote two-and-a-half years ago.

Now that was interesting because there’s an article in The Daily Mail today where the headline is “young people really are getting more stupid. IQs have started to fall by seven points per generation in worrying trend.” IQs have in risen in every decade since World War II, but have now begun to fall again. I have to say the trends started by those born after 1975 is worrying, and of course, they come up with all kinds of reasons and yet the word immigration is never mentioned, but here’s what is kind of shocking. The level, the extent to which they calculate is this fall in IQ equates to about seven points per generation!

Okay this is bordering on the catastrophic. If US IQs have fallen seven points per generation since 1975, we’ve got nearly two generations there so instead of a five-point decline we are talking about a decline of as much as fourteen points! And you know, this is a catastrophe! This is why you’re seeing a decline in the basic functionality of United States society and of a number of the European societies,  because people simply are not fundamentally as able to to function in a modern society. They simply can’t do the basic tasks that their fathers and their great-grandfathers did, and so you know, this is what you are going to experience and you can’t get away from it. You cannot escape it.
