The Imperial USA Retreats

Although the way it was done was a humiliating shambles, the retreat of the USA from its occupation of Afghanistan is not a bad thing; the US military should also be withdrawn from Iraq, Africa, Europe, and most of its military bases around the world. But the question is, does this retreat spell the end of the empire?

Wise men in Washington have claimed for years that defeat in Afghanistan is what pushed the Soviet Union to collapse. Now that the US has done much worse, the world is about to see whether their theories hold water.
The last US military flight out of the Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA) took off on Monday, a minute before the clocks struck midnight in Kabul. The 20-year war had come to an end, and the Taliban lit up the night skies with celebratory gunfire.

To hear President Joe Biden tell it, “the largest airlift in US history” was an “unparalleled” success, executed by the US military, diplomats, veterans and volunteers “with unmatched courage, professionalism, and resolve.”

In the minds of just about everyone else who could watch the events unfold over the past two weeks, it was a mad scramble to evacuate over 100,000 Afghans eager to emigrate, with fewer than 6,000 Americans making the flights – and several hundred being left behind for diplomats to try and save.

In fact, while 82nd Airborne Division commander General Christopher Donahue and US ambassador to Afghanistan Ross Wilson were the last two people to step on the last plane, no American civilians were on board the last five flights out of Kabul. This was the startling admission by General Kenneth McKenzie of CENTCOM to Pentagon reporters on Monday evening.

“We did not get everybody out that we wanted to get out,” McKenzie said.

Compare that to the Soviet pullout from Afghanistan, which ended in February 1989. The USSR took nine months to draw down over 100,000 troops. The last man across the Bridge of Friendship into present-day Uzbekistan was General Boris V. Gromov, who turned to a TV crew and said, “There is not a single Soviet soldier or officer left behind me.”

The government of Dr. Najibullah, whom the Soviets intervened to support against the US-backed Islamists a decade earlier, fought on for three more years – collapsing only after the USSR itself imploded and stopped sending aid. By contrast, the US-backed government in Kabul vanished into thin air before the US withdrawal was even complete.

Russia Today, 31 August 2021

What this comparison tells us is that the neoclown world order, aka “the open society”, aka Globohomo, is even less ideologically appealing to the people it oppresses around the world than Soviet-style communism. The riots and protests against the vaccine regimes around the world, from Australia to France, testify to the same thing.

This is precisely what the Learned Elders of Wye feared back in 2006 when they began to make their initial plans to leave the sinking ship of the USA, but if the shambolic retreat of their servants from Afghanistan is a true harbinger, it suggests their planned retreat from the USA will be even more disastrous.

UPDATE: George Soros on China:

2010: China has ‘better-functioning government’ than the USA.

2021: Xi Jinping is “the most dangerous enemy of open societies in the world.”

I wonder what could possibly have changed Mr. Soros’s opinion in the interim?

Boost, Baby, Boost

Israel appears to be deeply committed to vaxxocausting its citizens:

Israeli authorities announced Sunday a third coronavirus jab will be offered to anyone aged 12 and up, with Prime Minister Naftali Bennett declaring that all citizens must receive a third jab to be fully vaccinated.

‘We have to complete third doses for all of our citizens. I call on those aged 12 and up to go out and immediately take the third shot,’ he said in a statement.

The announcement came following the success of the country’s booster jab campaign which launched one month ago among seniors.

Bennett said a third jab slowed a rise in severe illness caused by the Delta variant among the elderly, prompting the decision to make a third jab available for the wider population.

‘The third dose of the vaccine works,’ he said, declaring that ‘the increase in severe morbidity has begun to slow’ following the booster campaign.

If you ain’t BOOSTED, you ain’t VAXXED!

Don’t hesitate to remind of all those no-longer-fully-vaccinated two-vaxxers that as of Wednesday, they are now as officially UNVAXXED as you are.

I’ll bet four shots will be required to be “fully vaccinated” by January.

UPDATE: It just gets better. Covid passports will be revoked for those who don’t get their third shot. They’re not just demanding compliance, they’re demanding complete and ongoing submission.

Mailvox: Vaccine or Get Out

I can’t confirm the accuracy of this, but I received an email that contained the following information:

Cadets at USAFA will be forced to receive the covid vaccine Monday morning (8/30) or be dismissed from the Academy.

If it’s legitimate, I assume that similar steps are being taken at West Point and the Naval Academy. We already know of one former midshipman who recently left Annapolis due to the constant pressure to get vaccinated, so whether this particular assertion is accurate or not, the campaign to indoctrinate and vaccinate the officers of tomorrow is real.

We can’t know how many cadets will elect to abandon their careers, but we can be certain that this will be an absolute disaster for US military capabilities. It should be kept in mind, however, that this isn’t necessarily the awful thing many people would have thought it was before the US government declared patriots and white people to be among its most pressing threats.

First They Shut Down Big Tech

Now China is gunning for the Hellmouth:

In a dramatic turn for the major studios, Hollywood’s share of China’s box office is in free fall, reportedly collapsing to less than 10 percent as Beijing aims to bolster its domestic movie industry while continuing to block major Hollywood releases from playing in Chinese cinemas.

The result is a potential existential crisis for Hollywood, which has bent over backwards to please China’s Communist dictators in the hopes of maintaining access to the lucrative Chinese market.

But the reverse has happened. Hollywood’s share of the China box office market has plummeted to just 9.5 percent so far this year, according to data from consultancy Artisan Gateway, as reported by Variety.

The stark decline comes as Hollywood imports are being edged out by domestic releases.

Last year, only two Hollywood releases cracked China’s top-ten grossing movies — Tenet and The Croods: A New Age. For 2019, only Avengers: Endgame and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw made the top-ten list. A decade ago, Hollywood accounted for eight of China’s top-ten grossing movies.

Chinese audiences are instead gravitating toward home-grown movies in larger numbers, lifting the time-traveling comedy Hi, Mom and the buddy-cop adventure Detective Chinatown 3 to blockbuster status. Meanwhile, recent Hollywood titles like Disney-Pixar’s Luca and Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon have failed to resonate with local audiences.

Even Universal’s dependable Fast & Furious franchise, which has been enormously popular in China, is showing signs of fatigue. The latest installment, F9, saw its China grosses plummet in the second week by a stunning 85 percent.

Hollywood’s decline in China comes as the Communist country has overtaken the United States to become the world’s largest movie market.

If you think it’s an accident that China increasingly appears to be targeting the neoclown strongholds in the USA, well, you’re not paying attention. It’s obvious that China is not so much focusing its “unrestricted warfare” on the USA per se anymore as on a specific and influential foreign demographic. My guess is that the media will be next, followed by Wall Street.

Believe it or not, there is not only considerably more freedom in the Chinese media than in the US media – by which I mean there are far fewer no-go zones – the rules are considerably more coherent and stable. Remember, I’ve not only been interviewed on Chinese state TV about trade and cryptocurrencies, I was asked more than once to return, most likely because both my predictions – contra the other experts – were correct. Do you think that would ever happen on Fox, CBS, ESPN, or even the Disney Channel?

Remember, China’s primary goal is to be left to their own devices. And their increasing engagement with the West appears to have taught them that unlike China, the USA is not a nation.

Bindery Campaign Update 26

Days Left: 2

Status: 104.2 percent of goal!

The Iliad: 355/500

The Odyssey: 346/500

I’m extremely pleased to be able to announce that the Castalia Bindery campaign has been a complete success! Yesterday afternoon, the Books For Frens group placed their orders on behalf of the selected recipients and that pushed the campaign across the finish line. Thanks to everyone who supported it!

What’s particularly remarkable is that the campaign has actually exceeded the original Alt-Hero campaign that got this whole process started, but since it didn’t utilize Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or any other crowdfunding site, we’ll be able to devote at least an additional $20k to the purpose rather than the process. This is an important proof of concept, and means that we’ll be able to operate at an even higher level of efficiency and stewardship in the future.

We very much appreciate all the Bindery backers, and also wish to single out Cactus Eater Bear, who was the architect of the Books For Frens operation that was completely unknown to us, but is an excellent reminder of the value of effective independent action in parallel with the primary effort. Well done, everyone!

There are still two days left, so if you’re interested in obtaining either the Library or the Libraria editions of The Iliad and The Odyssey, now is the time to act. Of all the books we’ve done to date, these will almost certainly be the most collectible over time, as in addition to being the first products of the new bindery, they will have a smaller print run than anything we intend to do in the future.

Green light means go!
