Star Wars justice convergence

The LucasFilm president explains her vision for Star Wars:

They are really, really making a huge effort across the company to put more focus around casting women and putting women in positions of responsibility, with directing and various other positions inside, different lines of business in the company. It’s not just about casting female protagonists. It’s gotta be across the board throughout the industry.

I think Hasbro, who’s making toys for a while, they were perhaps a little reluctant to move too quickly with something that’s been such a successful boys line. I think they’re recognizing that selling to girls is just as effective as selling to boys. More and more the lines are being blurred as to deciding ahead of time that some things are for boys and some things are for girls. I think that’s a big part of the conversation. It’s all of these areas that are contributing to change really happening.

Over the last several years that I’ve been in the business it seems to me that this has been a topic of conversation every few years. Then everybody thinks it’s a trend or that it’s a significant change. And then it doesn’t really move the needle. I think that’s — hopefully— what’s going to begin to happen now. It’s going to be real change. And not just perceived change.

Among those “real changes” are going to be declining sales, frantic PR spin to explain away the declining sales, and eventually some bitter diatribes about how the market is not worthy of their brilliant, progressive, and socially just products.

It’s at times like these that I am very, very happy that I was able to convince myself that Star Wars ended with The Empire Strikes Back. (I put Return of the Jedi in the same category as The Star Wars Christmas Special, which I also saw and was rather confused by, what with the Wookies living in trees and all. In retrospect, that should have been our first sign that George Lucas just go lucky, he didn’t actually know what he was doing.) I did give the Phantom Menace a go on opening night; I remember how we all felt almost as if we’d gone back in time, we were so excited that the future we’d imagined when we were kids was actually upon us!

And then, after about five minutes, we all realized that our imaginations were now rather preferable to George Lucas’s. I walked out of there and never again gave any subsequent Star Wars-named product another thought.

Anyhow, as Jeffro observes, this is classic SJW entryism at work. They’re essentially cargo cultists, they have no understanding of what made Star Wars valuable in the first place, and so they will further destroy what has already gone far, far past tragedy and is now well into self-parody.

Cucks show their true colors

What is the color for “anti-American” anyhow?

One of Florida’s biggest conservative Republican moneymen — and a billionaire backer of Jeb Bush — is so disgusted by Donald Trump’s candidacy that if he has to, he’ll do the unthinkable:

“If I have a choice — and you can put it in bold — if I have a choice between Trump and Hillary Clinton, I’m choosing Hillary,” Miami healthcare magnate Mike Fernandez told the Miami Herald on Friday. “She’s the lesser of two evils.”

Outraged by Trump’s unimpeded ascent, Fernandez is taking on the GOP frontrunner himself. He purchased a full-page ad in the upcoming Sunday edition of the Herald calling Trump a “narcissistic BULLYionaire with a hunger to be adored.” He also likened him to some of history’s bloodiest demagogues.

“You have no idea how furious I am with my friends in the Republican Party who have embraced this guy,” Fernandez said.

Fernandez, who also plans to run the ads in Des Moines and Las Vegas newspapers on Dec. 14, said he didn’t notify the Bush campaign of his plans. Fernandez was the single highest donor to the political committee backing Bush, Right to Rise USA, as of the last financial disclosure report at the end of June. His contribution: more than $3 million.

“My frustration is really with that sector of Republican voters that are so blinded by the demagoguery” of Trump, Fernandez said. “I know the campaign — or any other campaign — is not going to say it…. This is not about Jeb. This is about us. This is about the voter.”

Yeah, tell us again how “conservative” you are. He’s so conservative that he’s become a billionaire by leeching off the federal government; that’s the only way to make money as a “health care magnate”.

But this sort of announcement should help Trump far more than it hurts him. After all, if the big money men in the Republican Party hate him so much, that’s got to appeal to the working class vote in both parties.

Monday

Somehow, between Red Eagle, Mike Cernovich, Red Meat, Automatthew, myself, Castalia House’s star proofreader, and the self-appointed religious conscience of the blog, we have managed to complete Cuckservative in time to ensure its Amazon release on Monday. I also just received the second of the two bonus books; it is a complete riot, so if you haven’t signed up for the New Release mailing list, please note that this is your last chance to do so before the Cuckservative mailing goes out on Monday morning. You can sign up on the left sidebar. <——- Look over there.

As one of the authors, my opinion is too close to have any perspective at all, for better or for worse, but two of the early reviewers have used some form of the phrase “hits it out of the park”. Red Eagle himself said after going over the completed manuscript, “this is a powerful book”.

It is going to be considerably more controversial than SJWAL was. I would be absolutely astonished if it was not vilified as being heartless and unapologetically racist, and I will be astounded if the words “vicious”, “hateful”, and “Nazi” do not appear in almost every critical review. It should have a real shot at the record for the most one-star reviews on Amazon. I wonder what the record is?

In the book’s defense, all I can say is that it is remorselessly true. We didn’t bother with footnotes or a lot of citations because we know how that game is played; this is not a dialectical book, it is weaponized rhetoric backed by solid dialectic. And, as we know, the best rhetoric always stands on a foundation of truth.

There will be many things about the book that will make you uncomfortable, things you will not like. Some of you will even be offended. But we cannot, and we will not, apologize for writing about the truth as best we see it. Reality is what it is. The facts are what they are. The future will be what it will be. I don’t like many aspects of what appears to be the most likely scenario any better than any other sane individual, but then, no one ever asked me to arrange matters.

A few people have questioned whether Red Eagle exists or if I invented him in order to deflect some of the inevitable criticism. All I can say is that a) he wrote more of it than I did, b) he’s a more engaging writer than I am, and, c) if you genuinely believe I wrote both SJWAL and Cuckservative by myself since June, you’re insane. Also, there will be no deflecting any criticism. The open borders crowd is going to view Cuckservative as something between the hateful bastard of The Bell Curve and Mein Kampf, and a set of blueprints for making a working nuclear bomb out of Legos printed on the back of a Cheerios box.

Translation: I don’t think SJWAL‘s reign as “the most dangerous book in America” is going to last beyond Monday. The goal is to hit 1k on Monday.

10 reasons to GROW OR DIE!

All right, that was a little bit much. It’s actually 10 reasons to garden at this particular point in the space-time continuum.

Someone commented on one of my videos the other day that she was “a city girl” who didn’t know what she was doing in the garden… and that she was probably just going to give up.

I urged her to keep going. Now is a terrible time to quit gardening!

With the way the world is going, this is the time to garden like you’ve never gardened before. Here are just a few reasons.

1. GMOs
Do you really want to be part of a big science experiment, eating gene-spliced foods without knowing if they’re safe or not? Me either! Grow your own food with heirloom seeds and step away from the lab.

2. Economics
The economy is rotten and is likely to get worse. Runaway immigration, shaky banks, rising food costs, global unrest… all these have an impact on wages, investments and savings. Fortunately, a garden can save you some serious money.

3. Eating Local
Why count on food coming in from 1,000 miles away? Eating locally is a big deal right now – and you can’t get any more local than your own yard. Put in a garden and cut out the shipping!

The faithful lose their way

The Church of Star Citizen has lost a brother:

Its always going to be hard leaving a cult that I helped to build – But it was time to do it.

Not only has the game changed, but so has the community. Its hard to watch the transition between “tech savvy people with a bit of money to invest in a fun project” into “hypemachine! – you are not valid unless you invest, and subsequently don’t complain”

It is a shame that CR has not been able to admit to himself that he couldn’t handle this, and I promise – this is the same goddamn problem every single one of us have, role delegation, letting someone else take over, when we don’t have the time/skills to do it anymore.

So, assets are getting done, redone, changed, people jump off, new guys come in, hype online, the name that shouldn’t be mentioned, grey market crashing, 2.0 another disappointment, this feels like a DEMO cd from the front of a magazine in the damn 90’s… AAAARRRH……

Silence. . . .I had had enough. This project’s direction is lost within itself.

I had tried to sell my stuff, so that CIG could keep the money I had donated, but, I couldn’t even get half of what I had invested. So, I decided to just mail CIG and ask them for my money back. And they gave it to me.

We will see. But certainly events do seem to be following the direction Derek Smart predicted. Which is not at all to say that he is responsible for them going that way.

Did I not say as much?

I have never claimed to be a conservative or a Republican. For some reason, a fair number of people seem to have trouble grasping this. But the real self-proclaimed conservatives don’t seem to have any trouble doing so, such as Mr. Marcus from yesterday’s post concerning his Federalist article.

David Marcus ‏@BlueBoxDave
So @voxday did a portrait of me, the good news is he disavows conservatism as there is no place in it for him.

Vox Day @voxday
You’re absolutely right. Unlike conservatives, I have principles beyond “don’t get called racist” and “incoming, surrender!”

David Marcus ‏@BlueBoxDave
Good luck with your American Nationalist movement. I can’t wait to see the outfits.

Vox Day @voxday
It’s fascinating to see conservatives devolve to imitating the left. You’ve got nothing they don’t do better. #cuckservative

David Marcus ‏@BlueBoxDave
Opposing racial discrimination is not a leftist position. It’s an American position.

Vox Day ‏@voxday
That’s absolute ahistorical bullshit. Anti-racism is anti-nationalism. Which, by definition, is anti-American. Your position is opposed to Franklin, Washington, Jefferson, and Hamilton, just for starters.

He didn’t read the book

SJWAL didn’t reach New Zealand in time to prevent one gentleman from cutting his company’s throat by apologizing:

On the company’s Facebook page Mr Garratt offered his apologies.

“We apologise to all those who have been offended by our sign. It was very poor judgment on our part.”

In an earlier post, he said there was no offence intended.

“It was not our intention to offend any people in the community … Cait is more then [sic] welcome to stay at my house with my family anytime. I will have a wine or a beer with her quite happily and it would be an honour.”

Rebecca Jones, the mother of a 9-year-old transgender boy, was not satisfied and wanted a “face-to-face apology”.

“He seems to think a donation is enough. It is not,” she said. “I want an apology to my 9-year-old son AND a donation, and the transgender community is behind me on this.”

Ms Jones said he was just trying to “save his reputation”.

Well, he’s not going to be able to do so. When you find yourself in a position of repeatedly apologizing to child abusers – and as Camille Paglia says, treating a child as if he is “transgender” is child abuse – that should be your first sign that your strategy is less than entirely effective.

What part of NEVER APOLOGIZE is hard to understand? When someone comes to you and demands an apology, there is only one correct response: “No, absolutely not.”

An apology to SJWs is no different than a confession to the police. It is not the end of the matter, it is something to be delivered to the prosecution.

Of shopping and survival

It’s rather remarkable that David Brooks is still regarded, by some, to be a serious and thoughtful public intellectual, when in reality he is about as deep and reflective as Britney Spears hopped up on anti-depressants. Here he explains, in the aftermath of the most recent Islamic immigrant massacre, why the appeal of Donald Trump is bound to fade:

A little while ago I went rug shopping. Four rugs were laid out on the floor and among them was one with a pink motif that was dazzlingly beautiful. It was complex and sophisticated. If you had asked me at that moment which rug I wanted, I would have said the pink one.

This conviction lasted about five minutes. But then my mentality flipped and I started asking some questions. Would the furniture go with this rug? Would this rug clash with the wall hangings? Would I get tired of its electric vibrancy?

Suddenly a subtler and more prosaic blue rug grabbed center stage. The rugs had not changed, but suddenly I wanted the blue rug. The pink rug had done an excellent job of being eye-popping on its own. The blue rug was doing an excellent job of being a rug I could enjoy living with.

That’s right. The analogy from which Brooks draws his political model is his own interior-decorating habits. If I was a similarly shallow thinker, I would argue that Marco Rubio is bound to win because I had a glass of Spanish Tempranillo with lunch today and he is the most obviously Spanish candidate in the mix.

I am not certain yet that Trump is capable of overcoming the all-out war that will be waged on him by both factions of the bi-factional ruling party. The Republican establishment already has its knives out for him, but the Democratic establishment has not yet begun to fight. But I would not count him out either, especially in an environment where Americans quite rightly feel threatened by the hostile invaders that the ruling party has established in their midst.

But speaking of politics, and political philosophy, I am pleased to be able to say that SJWs Always Lie is now #1 in Political Philosophy on Amazon UK and is in the top 1,000 overall on  #1 in Political Philosophy on Amazon Australia as well.

Portrait of a cuckservative

It would be hard to get much more cucky than this. This is simply a straightforward and unabashed cuckservative surrender to left-liberal fantasy:

Anti-Racism Is a Conservative Issue

The Left is happy to go on endlessly promoting policy prescriptions for racism and justifying state control of anything and everything along the way. Conservatives do not have that luxury. Racism undermines conservative ideals of individual responsibility, freedom of speech, and limited government in ways it does not with progressive ideals. The Left believes it can coerce equality on a racist population. Conservatives do not. Conservatism demands that we overcome this problem ourselves.

Implicit in the demand for limited government is a responsibility to treat people fairly. Conservatives are not anarchists. We do not eschew moral norms, we insist upon them. Any concept of conservative morality must contain the duty to treat people as they are, not as symbols or reflections of their racial caste. On that moral principle, we have not been insistent enough. But there are ways for conservatives to tackle this issue, and they hold much more promise than the tired digital privilege theory pamphlets so pervasive on our Internet feeds.

The first step is mostly symbolic. It is simply to accept the racism that exists in our society and to call it an important problem. On its own, this admission will do nothing. But it will lay the groundwork for positive approaches and assure people of color that conservatives are not blind to their concerns.

A second and vital step is for conservatives to start developing a competing anti-racism agenda. The focus of this agenda should be the irrational nature of racism, not its immorality. It should harken back to the outdated but much more successful color-blind model, which demands we treat people as individuals, not as representatives of a demographic. Our think tanks and foundations should develop curriculum around this ideal and demand equal access in education. We must demand that diversity and race in culture be treated as a conversation, not a lecture.

It’s always amusing to see cuckservatives roll over, play dead, then wag their tails, hoping to win that elusive left-liberal approval at last. But, as he’ll find out soon enough, the color-blind model is not only outdated, it is has been deemed irredeemably racist by the very people whose favor he is attempting to curry.

Sorry, cuckservative. Even your anti-racism is racist. But this piece does serve the useful role of pointing out that there is no proper “conservative” ideology, as it is nothing more than “what the Democrats said, only a little less of it and 20 years later.”

So forget conservatism. It is an abject failure and has conserved nothing. The only thing that has the capability of surviving and taking down the left is a strongly nationalist American party.

Government isn’t fixing this either

The New York Daily News has announced that God is not going to fix the problem of Muslims murdering people in California:

GOP presidential candidates offer prayers — not solutions on gun control — after San Bernardino massacre

Prayers aren’t working.

White House hopefuls on the Democratic side of the aisle called for stricter gun laws in the wake of the shooting in San Bernardino that left at least 14 dead.

But after yet another mass shooting in America, GOP presidential contenders were conspicuously silent on the issue of gun control.

Instead, the Republicans were preaching about prayer.

“Our prayers are with the victims, their families, and the first responders in San Bernardino who willingly go into harm’s way to save others,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) tweeted.

It was remarkably similar to the response from Cruz following the shooting at a Planned Parenthood office in Colorado Springs last week.

“Praying for the loved ones of those killed, those injured & first responders who bravely got the situation under control in Colorado Springs,” Cruz tweeted at the time.

Democrats — even those not running for office — slammed the GOP presidential candidates for offering prayers instead of action.

“Your ‘thoughts’ should be about steps to take to stop this carnage,” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn) posted on Twitter. “Your ‘prayers’ should be for forgiveness if you do nothing — again.”

Now, let’s get this perfectly straight, would-be gun-banners. There is a much better chance, it is far more likely, that God will answer people’s prayers, descend from on high, and forever put an end to all gun violence tomorrow morning before breakfast than tens of millions of armed Americans will EVER permit you, or the federal government, or anyone else, to disarm them.

Give it up. It isn’t happening. Not now. Not ever. Deal with it. We don’t care how many dead bureaucrats or how many corpses of kindergarten kids you want to run up your bloody flag and wave. WE. DON’T. CARE. We aren’t falling for the sob stories again. Not now. Not ever.

Molon labe, motherfuckers. Molon labe.
