“The Greatest Medical Scandal of All Time”

Dr. Bernard Dalbergue, a former pharmaceutical industry physician with Gardasil manufacturer Merck, declares that Gardasil has “has absolutely no effect on cervical cancer”:

The full extent of the Gardasil scandal needs to be assessed: everyone knew when this vaccine was released on the American market that it would prove to be worthless!  Diane Harper, a major opinion leader in the United States, was one of the first to blow the whistle, pointing out the fraud and scam of it all.

Gardasil is useless and costs a fortune!  In addition, decision-makers at all levels are aware of it!

Cases of Guillain-Barré syndrome, paralysis of the lower limbs, vaccine-induced MS and vaccine-induced encephalitis can be found, whatever the vaccine.

I predict that Gardasil will become the greatest medical scandal of all times because at some point in time, the evidence will add up to prove that this vaccine, technical and scientific feat that it may be, has absolutely no effect on cervical cancer and that all the very many adverse effects which destroy lives and even kill, serve no other purpose than to generate profit for the manufacturers.

Gardasil appears to be literally worse than useless, because it has demonstrably harmed many girls and young women without any reduction of cervical cancer rates. Gardasil was introduced in 2006. As of 8 September 2013 there have been
more than 57 million doses distributed in the United States. The result with the latest available data from the CDC:

2003: 11,745 women in the United States were diagnosed with cervical cancer
2011: 12,109 women in the United States were diagnosed with cervical cancer

Needless to say, the pro-vaxxers are already attempting to destroy Dr. Dalbergue’s reputation.

Godless Ebola zombies

Fantastic. It’s not just a lethal hemorrhagic virus, it’s now mutated into something capable of creating The Walking Dead:

Two Ebola patients, who died of the virus in separate communities in Nimba County have reportedly resurrected in the county. The victims, both females, believed to be in their 60s and 40s respectively, died of the Ebola virus recently in Hope Village Community and the Catholic Community in Ganta, Nimba.

But to the amazement of residents and onlookers on Monday, the deceased reportedly regained life in total disbelief. The New Dawn Nimba County correspondent said the late Dorris Quoi of Hope Village Community and the second victim only identified as Ma Kebeh, said to be in her late 60s, were about to be taken for burial when they resurrected.

Note that the two victims not only regained life, but they did so in “total disbelief”. Perhaps this newly mutated virus is the antidote for religion for which Richard Dawkins has hitherto been searching in vain. It would, of course, be deeply raciss to be skeptical of these accounts in any way, given the fact that both the eyewitnesses and the journalists are African.

The ignorance of the irreligious

Damien Walters is very poorly read:

Dear religious folks. All of your prophets agreed on one thing, DON’T KILL PEOPLE. Start listening, stop killing. Yours, Damo.

Oh, did they now?

    seized them, and Elijah had them brought down to the Kishon Valley and slaughtered there.” – 1st Kings 18:40
  • “It is not for any Prophet to have captives until he has made slaughter in the land.” – Sura 8:67  

One wonders what prophets he has in mind, considering the words of Moses, Samuel, Elijah, and Mohammed. The truth is that the religious understand that there is always “a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build”

It is really astonishing how pig-ignorant these guys are, especially considering that they tend to consider themselves to be the well-educated side. 

They think they’ve won

The pinkshirts don’t just think they’re winning, they think they’ve already won. Because Inevitable, insofar as I can follow what passes for the logic:

There’s a culture war happening right now. It’s happening in games, in film, in journalism, in television, in fiction, in fandom. It’s happening online, everywhere. And everywhere, sexists, recreational misogynists and bigots are losing.

They are losing, and they don’t know why….

I’m talking about gender itself, sex and sexuality itself, as a game you can play and win by ‘beating’ the other ‘side’ into submission. A game where the other ‘side’ isn’t really human at all. Shoot to kill. Destroy the brain. Move on.

Games and pickup artistry gave a formal structure to that mindset for this generation, but it’s older than that. The gamification of misogyny predates the internet, but right now, in this world full of angry, broken, lost young men convinced that women have robbed them of some fundamental win in life, it’s rampant.

The trouble is that treating other human beings like faceless opponents doesn’t work in the real world.

Gender isn’t a game you can play and win by brutalising and harassing and shaming and hurting the other ‘side.’  Ultimately, there is no other side. Gender oppression is structural. Everybody loses, in the long term, because everybody has to live in a culture where it’s normal to hound women out of their homes for daring to demand fairer treatment, normal to shame girls and queer people into silence for suggesting that there might be other interesting stories to tell. There is no way to win this game, except by not playing at all.

So they can’t understand why they’re losing.

They can’t understand why their arguments aren’t working. They can’t understand why game designers, industry leaders, writers, public figures are lining up to disown their ideas and pledge to do better by women and girls in the future. They can’t understand why, just for example, when my friend, the games critic and consultant Leigh Alexander, was abused and ‘called out’ as an unprofessional slut, a lying cunt, morally and personally corrupt, just for speaking truthfully and beautifully about all of this, it was Alexander who was invited to write her first piece for Time magazine, Alexander who got to define the agenda for the mainstream, who received praise and recognition, whilst her abusers’ words will be lost in a howling vortex of comment threads and subreddits and, eventually, forgotten.

Their rage is the rage of bewilderment.

This is a beautiful piece of feminist agit-prop, which begs the very question it asserts. It is an attempt to simultaneously encourage the Social Justice Whores who are demoralized by the unexpectedly fierce resistance being shown by the gaming community while undermining that resistance by falsely claiming it to be counterproductive.

Notice how the need to resort to existing allies is portrayed as some sort of victory; is there any doubt that Time Magazine was on their side from the start? The classic female attempt to silence the opposition and pretend it doesn’t exist instead of confronting and defeating it is portrayed as a victory, instead of the renewed offensive it actually is. But in fact, the need to throw in your big guns is indicative of the fact that the battle is not going your way.

The Social Justice Whores, who as I noted yesterday are the moral mutaweenies of the godless Left, are making two major mistakes. First, they have completely failed to understand their enemy. Second, they have prematurely declared victory.

We aren’t bewildered at all. Nor are we even slightly mystified by why we have been losing for decades, anymore than we fail to grasp why the pinkshirts are suddenly feeling the need to screech louder and redouble their efforts. The truth is that they are meeting with active and stubborn male resistance for the first time in years and they are stunned and astonished by it. Remember, an angry woman always engages in psychological projection. When Penny Red talks about “the rage of bewilderment” she is talking about herself.

The problem is not that “women are creating culture, changing culture,
redefining culture”, the problem is that women are actively attempting to DESTROY culture and they offer nothing that anyone wants in its place. That is why “those cunts, those poisonous cunts, those
disgusting, uppity cunts must be stopped”. And that is why they will be stopped.

We will win so long as we refuse to submit because we are the creators. They are nothing but pale imitators and parasites. They create nothing new, they bring nothing to the table, they gorge themselves insatiably off the scraps that we cast off and then claim to be feeding themselves.

A year ago, Castalia House did not exist. In six months, we have sold or given away more than 35,000 books. That’s a drop in the bucket, but it is a start and we are but one minor player in the growing resistance to the SJWs “in games, in film, in journalism, in television, in fiction, in fandom.” The sides are being drawn up, and soon it will become apparent that the pinkshirts have absolutely no idea how reliant they were upon male forbearance.

But we know what our predecessors did not, we see where their perceptions failed them, so we will show no mercy and we will not give them one single inch of additional ground. They will soon find that victory comes considerably harder when the enemy is actually aware there is a war on. Ask yourself this: if they are truly winning this latest battle, why did Penny Red feel the need to close comments on her blog post?

Russia takes on the globalist PR

Limiting foreign media ownership wouldn’t be a bad idea for the USA either.

Russia appears poised for a clampdown on western involvement in its media with
new legislation limiting foreign media ownership gaining momentum in
the Duma. Russian lawmakers on Tuesday overwhelmingly backed a bill that would
restrict foreign ownership of the country’s media properties to 20 per
cent. At present, foreign stakes in radio and television are capped at
50 per cent, but no such restrictions apply to print media.

If adopted into law, the proposed changes would uproot the Russia
business of some of the world’s leading media groups and could force a
reshuffle of the Russian media industry….

The draft legislation also prevents foreigners from appointing top
editors and otherwise exerting control by more formally separating the
ownership and publisher roles. “With all these details, this is a piece
of legislation that has not been written hastily but with careful
consideration to close all potential loopholes,” said the foreign
executive.

I’ve never quite understood how having foreigners own your corporations is supposed to be beneficial to anyone but the propagandists. Especially with the credit money system. Write a few bonds, “loan” the borrowed money to a state corporation, then have it buy up a controlling interest in the stock of a publicly traded media corporation belonging to the country you want to control. Congratulations, you now own a propaganda outlet with a mainline connection direct into the communications bloodstream of that country. It’s not exactly rocket science.

It’s rather remarkable how so many of Putin’s actions appear sensible, while so many of Obama’s appear to be so haplessly counterproductive as to be almost sinister.

The agenda-driven sports media

It’s a bit amusing to see Mike Florio backtracking after repeatedly demanding that the Ravens provide evidence of their claims that the ESPN report was full of errors:

One of the more glaring problems with ESPN’s story regarding the Ravens’ mishandling of the Ray Rice investigation relates to the text messages sent by owner Steve Bisciotti to Rice after the team cut him. In the story, ESPN presents the text messages in italics.  While quotes weren’t used, the technique created the clear impression that the text messages were being quoted verbatim. The surrounding context reinforced the idea that exact quotes were being shared…. ESPN has acknowledged that the italicized text messages did not reflect actual quotes.

“We understand the confusion surrounding our use of italics and recognize we could have been more clear,” ESPN said Tuesday in a statement. “Most importantly, the information in our story about the contents of the texts was consistent with what the team released.”

While the contents were consistent, the clear and obvious error in the presentation invites fair questions regarding whether other aspects of the story are incorrect, especially in light of the strong (albeit belated) written response the Ravens provided to 15 different aspects of the report.

This specific flaw also carries with it some irony.  At a time when the Ravens fairly have been hammered for failing to ask for the notorious elevator video, ESPN didn’t ask the Ravens to confirm the precise contents of the text messages sent by Bisciotti. Instead, ESPN asked only if Bisciotti sent two text messages to Rice.

The story from ESPN doesn’t disclose that ESPN asked the Ravens only to confirm that Bisciotti sent two text messages and not to confirm the contents of the text messages.  But the words selected by the authors invite a perception that the Ravens were informed of the alleged language of the text messages: “Asked about the text messages Friday, the team did not deny Bisciotti had sent them: ‘His text messages to Ray reflect his belief that everyone is capable of redemption and that others, including players, can learn from Ray’s experience.’”

So, ESPN is making up quotes, misrepresented their communications with the Ravens, and claimed that Ray Rice was watching the Ravens-Bengals game from his home
with former teammate AQ Shipley even though Shipley was on the
field for the Colts at that time, but Florio still thinks that we should take their report seriously? After all, the Ravens response was, in Florio’s opinion, “belated”.

At this point, it’s difficult to rely upon the sports media to get the final score of the games right. Assuming they bother to report it in the first place, given all the socially vital crusades for which they have to find space.

That being said, good on Bill Simmons for being willing to step up and say exactly what he thinks about Roger Goodell. He may be on the opposite side of the fence, but at least he is genuinely calling them as he sees them:

“Goodell, if he didn’t know what was on that tape, he’s a liar. I’m just
saying it. He is lying. If you put him up on a lie detector test, that
guy would fail. For all these people to pretend they didn’t know is such
[expletive] [expletive]. It really is, it’s such [expletive]
[expletive]. For him to go into that press conference and pretend
otherwise — I was so insulted.”

I think Goodell was lying too. I don’t think the tape justified one additional day of suspension for Ray Rice, but I don’t think there is any doubt that the NFL Commissioner didn’t know what was on it.

Wikileftia

I’ve previously pointed out the way that the Wikipedia editors seek to minimize those they dislike and elevate those they support. But their left-wing bias is getting increasingly out of hand, as evidenced by their rationalizations for not permitting criticism of their favorite token black scientist, Neil deGrasse Tyson:

Keep in mind, these are actual quotes from Wikipedia editors discussing why it’s okay to airbrush history in order to protect their precious prophet.

1. “Telling a funny anecdote with fudgy details to make a joke/point is not a controversy, its what public speakers do.”

2. “It doesn’t matter if we can demonstrate it happened or not, many things happen in many people lives, we don’t write each of them into every persons biography.”

3. “[W]e may have to leave this up for a few days until S Davis drops his ‘censorship’ campaign.”

4.”So, [Tyson]‘s not making a point about Bush, he’s making a point about the lost opportunity of 1.3 billion people not contributing to the advancement of human knowledge.”

5. “This is thus far a relatively insignificant story pushed by a fringe attack blog[.]“

6. “We shouldn’t be asserting that ‘No evidence exists’ based upon the current sourcing.”

7. “There are literally thousands and thousands of articles about this topic […] If this was something important, then you would see a lot more sources covering.”

8. “[I]t is a non-notable commentary that begun in an obscure media site and was picked up with even more obscure sites/blogs.”

9. “[T]his is being kept off because Wikipedia is deeply conservative in the non-political meaning of the word.”

There are a plethora of examples of this Wikileftia bias. If you look at the page, about me you’ll see that a “Feud with John Scalzi” is apparently my primary View, but you won’t see any corresponding “Feud with Vox Day” on the Scalzi page even though a) he is the one who started it back in 2005, and b) he is the one who keeps talking to various media outlets about it, thereby rendering it notable.

The worst offenders may be the champions of Sam Harris. In the criticism section, they actually offer defenses of the very criticisms made, and the most substantive critiques, such as my complete demolition of his Red State argument, which was so successful that he dropped it entirely, are not there.

Wikipedia isn’t entirely useless. But for any public figure of any political controversy at all, it is entirely misleading.

When publishing was taken over

In the annual Publisher’s Weekly salary report, it is easy to see when the Pink Rot solidified:

Meanwhile, the pay gap between men and women—the other well-known imbalance in the industry—continued in 2013, even though women accounted for 74% of the publishing workforce and men only 26%. The average compensation for men in 2013 was $85,000, the same as in 2012, while average compensation for women rose to $60,750 last year, up from $56,000 the year before. Women filled at least 70% of the jobs in sales and marketing, operations, and editorial, but only 51% of the management positions. The relatively large portion of men in management roles (though they’re still a slight minority there) partly explains the overall pay gap, since those jobs are the best paid in the industry. But men also tended to earn more than female colleagues with similar titles last year, due, in part, to the fact that men tend to have more experience. In 2013, the median number of years of experience for men in the industry was 17, compared to 11 for women (the median for men in management was 19 years, compared to 13.5 for women).

Look at the Years of Experience chart at the linked post. Whereas 37 percent of the men have more than 20 years of experience, only 21 percent of the women do. But sometime between 11 and 20 years ago, women first made up the majority of employees. That’s observably the point at which the pinkshirts took over; for me it first became apparent when THE QUANTUM ROSE, which is little more than a romance novel in space, won the Nebula and made me realize how much the SF/F field was changing, and not for the better.

The amazing thing is the way it is implied that a field in which there are three times as many women as men working is somehow stacked against women due to the “pay gap”. The amusing thing is how lily-white and non-diverse the field is; it is readily apparent that the reason the publishing industry so feverishly embraces diversity in their authors is as a shield to distract from their own lack of diversity in their offices.

Obviously the process began more than 15 years ago, but that’s when it became increasingly difficult for those writing masculine fiction for male audiences to break into print.

The beginning of the end

This 1978 speech given by Alexander Solzhenitsyn at Harvard is not only prophetic, but appears to have fallen entirely on deaf ears:

How short a time ago, relatively, the small, new European world was easily seizing colonies everywhere, not only without anticipating any real resistance, but also usually despising any possible values in the conquered people’s approach to life. On the face of it, it was an overwhelming success. There were no geographic frontiers [limits] to it. Western society expanded in a triumph of human independence and power. And all of a sudden in the 20th century came the discovery of its fragility and friability.

We now see that the conquests proved to be short lived and precarious — and this, in turn, points to defects in the Western view of the world which led to these conquests. Relations with the former colonial world now have turned into their opposite and the Western world often goes to extremes of subservience, but it is difficult yet to estimate the total size of the bill which former colonial countries will present to the West and it is difficult to predict whether the surrender not only of its last colonies, but of everything it owns, will be sufficient for the West to foot the bill.

But the blindness of superiority continues in spite of all and upholds the belief that the vast regions everywhere on our planet should develop and mature to the level of present day Western systems, which in theory are the best and in practice the most attractive. There is this belief that all those other worlds are only being temporarily prevented (by wicked governments or by heavy crises or by their own barbarity and incomprehension) from taking the way of Western pluralistic democracy and from adopting the Western way of life. Countries are judged on the merit of their progress in this direction.

However, it is a conception which develops out of Western incomprehension of the essence of other worlds, out of the mistake of measuring them all with a Western yardstick. The real picture of our planet’s development is quite different and which about our divided world gave birth to the theory of convergence between leading Western countries and the Soviet Union. It is a soothing theory which overlooks the fact that these worlds are not at all developing into similarity. Neither one can be transformed into the other without the use of violence. Besides, convergence inevitably means acceptance of the other side’s defects, too, and this is hardly desirable.

If I were today addressing an audience in my country, examining the overall pattern of the world’s rifts, I would have concentrated on the East’s calamities. But since my forced exile in the West has now lasted four years and since my audience is a Western one, I think it may be of greater interest to concentrate on certain aspects of the West, in our days, such as I see them.

A decline in courage may be the most striking feature which an outside observer notices in the West in our days. The Western world has lost its civil courage, both as a whole and separately, in each country, each government, each political party, and, of course, in the United Nations. Such a decline in courage is particularly noticeable among the ruling groups and the intellectual elite, causing an impression of loss of courage by the entire society. Of course, there are many courageous individuals, but they have no determining influence on public life.

Political and intellectual bureaucrats show depression, passivity, and perplexity in their actions and in their statements, and even more so in theoretical reflections to explain how realistic, reasonable, as well as intellectually and even morally worn it is to base state policies on weakness and cowardice. And decline in courage is ironically emphasized by occasional explosions of anger and inflexibility on the part of the same bureaucrats when dealing with weak governments and with countries not supported by anyone, or with currents which cannot offer any resistance. But they get tongue-tied and paralyzed when they deal with powerful governments and threatening forces, with aggressors and international terrorists.

Should one point out that from ancient times declining courage has been considered the beginning of the end?

Solzhenitsyn even foresaw the vicious and unending assault of the Social Justice Warriors: “Social dogmatism leaves us completely helpless in front of the trials of our times.” Social Justice Enforcers would be a more apt term. The SJWs are nothing less than the mutaween of the godless West, the self-appointed enforcers of the would-be globalist elite’s hellish parody of morality.

This is the time to make your choice. This is the time to stand up for what you believe. This is the time to show courage rather than to keep silent in the hope that you will be overlooked and the rabid mob will pass you by. This is the time to support those who stand with you and abandon those who don’t. This is the time to stop trying to appease the voracious, insatiable rabbits, who have tasted blood and discovered that they rather like it.

This is not the time for cowardice.

Sooner or later, the end will come. Every society ever known to Man has come to an end and ours will not be an exception. But if it ends in our time, let us be found with wounds in the front of our bodies and broken, bloody swords in hand. And if it ends in our children’s or grandchildren’s times, let them be able to look to us, as we look to Solzhenitsyn, and know that we prepared them for the battles they must fight.

Job in SE Michigan

A member of the Dread Ilk is looking for a part-time worker in Michigan:

Small technology start-up, revenue-funded, doing SaaS mobile apps, needs a part time support person – three days per week  – to interact with customers on site in SE Michigan.  Needs to be able to do the following:

  •  Talk with customers on phone and email
  •  Understand what features our software does and does not have (We will show and demo the apps)
  •  Recognize a feature request from a customer and be able to report those up for prioritization
  •  Execute a checklist for launching a customer instance of our app (Very light project management)
  •  Talk with developers when you run into a problem; file tickets; confirm resolution thereof
  •  Keep track of common issues customers have and report them up for improvement/enhancement
  •  Will need to understand how a spreadsheet (Excel) works sufficiently to make and upload user lists/configurations
  •  Will need at least a theoretical understanding of a relational database and what a query is
  •  Have an understanding of mobile apps at least at the user level – use an iPhone or Android
  •  Some light graphics skill in Gimp/Photoshop a plus – e.g., be able to resize a logo, or create a splash page graphic from supplied customer branding assets
