Washington is getting into the act of buying social media influencers to counteract the influence of other influencers:
The Pentagon has secretly installed several conservative military veterans with large online followings in government roles, declining to disclose their assignments as they amplify the viewpoints of Pete Hegseth. At least some of the influencers have been assigned to civilian roles that could lead to changes in policy, the people familiar with the matter said. They include Rob Maness, Kurt Schlicter and Thomas Anderson, who goes by the online handle Cynical Publius.
Neither the Pentagon nor those involved have disclosed the government roles despite the Trump administration’s claims that they are running the most transparent Defense Department ever.
It’s fake, gay, and corrupt all the way down. It’s at the point where I just laugh and delete the email every time someone sends me a request for my take on yet another “conservative” who “really tells it like it is.” I don’t have a take on any of them. I don’t pay attention to any of them. The only people who interest me are the people who simply describe what they think they are seeing without trying to fit it into some sort of narrative.
What part of “it’s all fake, gay, corrupt, and retarded” is so hard to understand? Why do so many people have this burning need to follow other people and parrot whatever it is they’re saying?
