Here is the quiz for the section covering 2.47 to 2.103, which marks the end of Book Two. If you wish to take the previous quizzes again, they are still available:
The History of the Peloponnesian War 1.1 to 1.115.
The History of the Peloponnesian War 1.116 to 2.46.
Go ahead and discuss the answers and so forth freely here. We’re getting a bit more into the nuts and bolts of the campaigning and some of the wider aspects of the war are perhaps a bit less interesting, but there are a number of events which are worthy of note in this section. I’m sorry I didn’t participate as much in last week’s discussion as I intended; I’ve been pretty busy of late. And by the way, is anyone else with the paperback version of the Landmark edition having problems with the binding coming undone? Or with the hardcover?
Next week’s reading is all of Book Three. It’s really quite a remarkable section, as it contains what must be one of the startlingly prescient passages in human history.
