Turning off hotkeys

Does anyone know the best way to go about turning off hotkeys in Windows XP? I have a new laptop and while the keyboard is fantastic, it has this annoying tendency to somehow tab up, down and all around while I am typing. In fact, it’s happened three times in the course – make that four – of this post. It appears to be some sort of arrow key function that is getting triggered and I really want to turn the damn thing off.

Seriously, it’s happened eight times in this post alone. When I typed the “p” in “typed”, it stuck it back between the two “p”s in “happened.

I cannot tell you how much I hate these “helpful” features. If I want to make use of the up arrow, I’ll hit one of the two up arrows on the damn keyboard, all right?
