Republican leaders are only interested in law and order when it comes to spying on and prosecuting American citizens:
The two top Republicans in Congress, confronted with internal party divisions as well as large public demonstrations, said Tuesday they intend to pass immigration legislation that does not subject illegal immigrants to prosecution as felons.
That makes a lot of sense. If the Republican leadership made felons out of incoming Mexicans, they’d never be able to vote for Democrats and the abandonment of US sovereignty when they are eventually naturalized.
