Mailvox: diagnosis is not a personal critique

SC wonders why we can’t all just get along:

You might say that they chose to have children when they were in that situation, but that argument doesn’t hold water when so many of this country’s jobs pay too little for a household to survive on one income. We have so much to beat each other up over without manufacturing more.

Of course, if you ever wish to improve the situation, it’s not the worst idea in the world to examine what caused it to come about in the first place. And why do so many of this country’s jobs pay so little?

I suggest that SC would do well to examine the history of American wage rates to find the answer.
