Mr. Joseph Farah writes on WND:
ohn Roberts still has most conservatives buffaloed. They just can’t believe George W. Bush would betray them so boldly. But he has.
Even I, the ultimate skeptic, am just beginning to fathom the extent of the shell game that has been played on conservatives – most of whom are actively working on behalf of the confirmation of a new chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court who will make Ruth Bader Ginsberg look like a moderate.
That’s right.
Up until now, I’ve been comparing Roberts to Sandra Day O’Connor, Anthony Kennedy and David Souter. I’ve got news for you. He’s worse.
I like and respect Mr. Farah, but the ultimate skeptic he’s not. I’m not even the ultimate skeptic on WND’s Commentary page – I was initially willing to grudgingly follow the administration’s lead on Iraq – that honor belongs to Mr. Patrick J. Buchanan.
Mr. Farah is, of course, right on soon-to-be Chief Justice Roberts. I’d encourage all of those conservatives who voted for George Bush because of the Supreme Court nominations to keep that in mind once it’s Roberts who has them putting on sackcloth and gnashing their teeth again.
