Let them laugh

Remember when SJWs were laughing about how “Opera Vita Aeterna” finished behind No Award in the 2014 Hugo Awards? Then remember the shock and horror they expressed when the nominations for the 2015 awards were announced?

Let them laugh about Infogalactic now. Let them scoff and sneer, as is their usual wont. Not only is everything going according to plan, but the plan has been accelerated, we have more dev volunteers than were expected, after 16 days we are just three short of the 100 subscribers we hoped would sign up in the first three months, and we’re already seeing third-party developers wanting to integrate with us. By this time next week, we should have add-on extensions for Firefox, Chrome, and Opera that will allow you to make Infogalactic your default search engine to go with the current redirect extensions.

It was not surprising to see our old pal Pedophil didn’t pass up the chance to strike the customary SJW pose.

Seriously, even for Vox Day, the Dumpster Fire that Walks Like a Man, Infogalactic is an amateur hour shitwreck.

If you had any doubt that Phil is totally clueless with regards to technology before, now you have confirmation. No one who knows anything about Wikipedia or MediaWiki would say we don’t know what we’re doing. One might not concur entirely with our priorities, or understand our objectives, but the combination of what we’ve accomplished to date, combined with the Roadmap, is sufficient to indicate that we are neither entirely incompetent nor amateur developers.

As it happens, we know the highest levels at Wikipedia are paying close attention to what we’re doing because they’ve already been in contact with us. I would describe their attitude as half-confused, half-concerned. They know they can’t do what we’re already in the process of doing, nor do they have a good grasp of why we’re doing it in the first place. So, don’t be surprised if, in the long run, they end up using our technology.

But if you want a detailed plot summary for an unreleased video game, well, someone definitely added that today.

And he thinks that is a bad thing? That is exactly the sort of thing I’d hoped to see Galaxians putting on Infogalactic. We’re not the Notable Knowledge From Sources Our Thought Police Deem Reliable Core, we’re the Planetary Knowledge Core.

Let them laugh. It will make their dawning horror all the more satisfying when Phase Three arrives.

UPDATE: Should have mentioned this: Safari users now have an extension that will redirect Wikipedia links to Infogalactic. Download it here. I am also informed that extensions adding Infogalactic as a default search engine option will be available next week.

UPDATE: One of the VFM explains why it is time to stick a fork in Wikipedia and why he is supporting Infogalactic:

Our Dark Lord of the Evil Legion of Evil is leading the way showing those of us who are awake, that we don’t have to take the continued SJW convergence of our institutions, social media and other mediums of thoughts and expressions lying down…that we CAN actually do something to fight back.

SJW’s converged Science Fiction? Our Dark Lord went and co-founded his own damn publishing house and is now producing literary works with themes and narratives that have been largely suppressed by the traditional publishing houses seeking to control the narrative.

Alt-Right folks getting shadow-banned or outright banned on Twitter? He’s one of the leading users and supporter for Gab, a new social media platform alternative, which unlike Twitter, is dedicated to upholding real free speech for it’s participants.

While leading thousands on an exodus from an SJW converged mainstream social media platform and founding a successful publishing house of best-selling, politically incorrect literature are both major accomplishments by our Dark Lord in the 21st Century culture wars in our Brave New World Order, it his latest act of counter-insurgency that I hope grows into his most successful venture to date.

It is the badly needed and long overdue answer to the SJWs attempted control of the narrative by manufacturing consensus with heavy handed and persistent  censorship and suppression of politically incorrect topics on Wikipedia.

The cost of corporate convergence

Money-losing Twitter is cutting jobs. What will be interesting is if all of the Trust and Safety Council member and other SJWs still have jobs after the job cuts.

Twitter Inc. is planning widespread job cuts, to be announced as soon as this week, according to people familiar with the matter. The company may cut about 8 percent of the workforce, or about 300 people, the same percentage it did last year when co-founder Jack Dorsey took over as chief executive officer, the people said. Planning for the cuts is still fluid and the number could change, they added.

It’s always easy to see the extent to which a corporation is converged when it engages in layoffs. If engineers and salespeople are let go while diversity hires and HR personnel remain employed, the convergence is complete.

The success of Gab, accomplished on a shoe string, can’t be helping the Twitter cause any. Where is the value in a money-losing company with such demonstrably low barriers to entry? Particularly when that company is converged and prone to attacking its customers.

It’s not a question of IF the polls are false

But rather, the degree to which they are falsified:

Now, for all of you out there who still aren’t convinced that the polls are “adjusted”, we present to you the following Podesta email, leaked earlier today, that conveniently spells out, in detail, exactly how to “manufacture” the desired data. The email starts out with a request for recommendations on “oversamples for polling” in order to “maximize what we get out of our media polling.”

I also want to get your Atlas folks to recommend oversamples for our polling before we start in February. By market, regions, etc. I want to get this all compiled into one set of recommendations so we can maximize what we get out of our media polling.

The email even includes a handy, 37-page guide with the following poll-rigging recommendations.  In Arizona, over sampling of Hispanics and Native Americans is highly recommended:

Research, microtargeting & polling projects
–  Over-sample Hispanics
–  Use Spanish language interviewing. (Monolingual Spanish-speaking voters are among the lowest turnout Democratic targets)
–  Over-sample the Native American population

For Florida, the report recommends “consistently monitoring” samples to makes sure they’re “not too old” and “has enough African American and Hispanic voters.”  Meanwhile, “independent” voters in Tampa and Orlando are apparently more dem friendly so the report suggests filling up independent quotas in those cities first.

–  Consistently monitor the sample to ensure it is not too old, and that it has enough African American and Hispanic voters to reflect the state.
–  On Independents: Tampa and Orlando are better persuasion targets than north or south Florida (check your polls before concluding this). If there are budget questions or oversamples, make sure that Tampa and Orlando are included first.

Meanwhile, it’s suggested that national polls over sample “key districts / regions” and “ethnic” groups “as needed.”

–  General election benchmark, 800 sample, with potential over samples in key districts/regions
–  Benchmark polling in targeted races, with ethnic over samples as needed
–  Targeting tracking polls in key races, with ethnic over samples as needed

It is not “wishful thinking” to distrust the polls. Nor is there a “natural tightening up” of the polls as election day approaches. The entire polling industry is an exercise in attempted manipulation of public opinion. That’s why there is so much media attention focused on it.

The Podesta email doesn’t merely prove that the poll-doubters are right to be dubious about their credibility, but demonstrates, once more, that the conspiracy theory of history is the only one that can properly account for historical events.

Moreover, the media narrative claiming that Hillary’s win is inevitable is nothing more than the First Law of SJW in action:

A confidential memo allegedly obtained from Correct The Record, a Democratic Super PAC, reveals a plan to “barrage” voters with high frequency polls that show Hillary ahead in order to “declare election over,” while avoiding any mention of the Brexit vote (which completely contradicted polls that said Brexit would fail).

Pursuant to which….

Truth or social justice?

Jonathan Haidt argues that universities face a choice:

Aristotle often evaluated a thing with respect to its “telos” – its purpose, end, or goal. The telos of a kife is to cut. The telos of a physician is health or healing. What is the telos of university?
The harvardmost obvious answer is “truth” –- the word appears on so many university crests. But increasingly, many of America’s top universities are embracing social justice as their telos, or as a second and equal telos. But can any institution or profession have two teloses (or teloi)? What happens if they conflict?

As a social psychologist who studies morality, I have watched these two teloses come into conflict increasingly often during my 30 years in the academy. The conflicts seemed manageable in the 1990s. But the intensity of conflict has grown since then, at the same time as the political diversity of the professoriate was plummeting, and at the same time as American cross-partisan hostility was rising. I believe the conflict reached its boiling point in the fall of 2015 when student protesters at 80 universities demanded that their universities make much greater and more explicit commitments to social justice, often including mandatory courses and training for everyone in social justice perspectives and content.

Now that many university presidents have agreed to implement many of the demands, I believe that the conflict between truth and social justice is likely to become unmanageable.  Universities will have to choose, and be explicit about their choice, so that potential students and faculty recruits can make an informed choice. Universities that try to honor both will face increasing incoherence and internal conflict.

But they don’t, really. The universities are, by and large, going to have to choose social justice. Truth will never serve any institution that depends upon a partnership with government and the banks to prey upon unsuspecting young people in order to mortgage their futures.

A skull for the SDL!

A reader on Gab successfully applies the lessons of SJWs Always Lie:

A SJW just resigned in embarrassment after unsuccessfully attacking me at work! Thanks to “SJWs Always Lie” by @voxday, I was able to preempt her by predicting her plan/goals to my colleagues. Her coup attempt was strongly rebuffed by them; after realizing she had no support she left in disgrace.

These days, no one is safe from SJWs. They are a plague upon Western Civilization and one can neither reason with nor negotiate with them. If you haven’t read the book yet, it really is in your best interests to do so. It can observably make the difference between you losing your job in disgrace and your SJW attacker doing so.

Anyhow, I love to see AARs of anti-SJW defenses, particularly the successful ones. But even the unsuccessful ones are informative.

Nothing is sacred, nothing is safe

From SJWs. They insist on injecting their filth into EVERYTHING they encounter:

Kara Desiderio and her partner Kristina Wertz’s 13-month-old daughter loves Hello magazine for toddlers. The problem: The publication, which is owned by Highlights for Children, has yet to depict same-sex couples anywhere in its pages. So on Friday, October 14, Wertz took to the Highlights for Children Facebook page to express her concern.

“One of the reasons we appreciate Hello is the diversity represented — families of all races, interracial families and grandparents,” Wertz wrote. “We are consistently disappointed, however, in the complete lack of same-sex parents in Hello magazine. I think a lot about the things that create culture — the subtle and not so subtle messages that our kids get about how the world works. Since becoming a parent, I feel keenly aware of the messages kids’ books send to tiny minds.”

Wertz continued: “There is a deep need for books that positively reflect back the diversity of the world around us and I hope that Highlights embraces that diversity because we would like to keep it in our little one’s life as she grows.”

The Hudson, New York–based mom didn’t get the response she was hoping for. “We understand your wish to see your family’s situation represented in Highlights Hello,” wrote a Highlights for Children editor. “For much of our readership, the topic of same-sex families is still new, and parents are still learning how to approach the subject with their children, even the very little ones. We believe that parents know best when their family is ready top open conversation around the topic of same-sex families.” The staffer added: “We will continue to think deeply about inclusion — specifically, how to address it in developmentally appropriate ways for our broad audience.”

Needless to say, because the publisher was dumb enough to offer to “think deeply about inclusion”, that has only increased the SJW pressure on them. The excuse for targeting them is because they used the word “situation”. Nothing is too small or petty to justify a convergence campaign!

And if Highlights is foolish enough to cave and converge, it is going to quickly find out how much of their readership is not going to tolerate even a modicum of SJW filth, no matter how “developmentally appropriate” it is.

SJW delenda est. Never give them an inch. Never give them anything.

SJWs are bitter about Infogalactic

One way you can be certain that Infogalactic already threatens the SJW’s control of the cultural high ground that is the online knowledge base is the reaction of SJWs to it. I am reliably informed our old acquaintance and master of rhetoric, Cameltoes Freckeltongue, is bent out of shape about the fact that our editors are removing the ideological graffiti that litters many, if not most, Wikipedia entries.

I thought that you might like to know about Camestros’s latest meltdown. He’s posted about infogalactic and the science article editing out the “women in science” section. He uses this to claim you are erasing women’s contributions to science, without of course the understanding that the inclusion of such would be motivated by feminist worldview, and irrelevant to science as practice and theory.

I do so love the smell of SJW outrage in the morning. Our email correspondent is correct, as it appears Cameltoes understands the difference between “science” and “political activism directed at science” about as well as he grasps the difference between “dialectic” and “rhetoric”.

Voxopedia: where information about women goes to be erased

The erasure of women’s achievements in science is a known phenomenon, but it is rare that you get to see it happen in such a simple and direct way. Over at our new favourite train-wreck, Vox Day had been busy quite literally erasing women’s contribution to science.

This is the relevant Wikipedia page sub-section from the main ‘Science’ article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science#Women_in_science

The Voxopedia, sorry Infogalactic page has had the section removed: https://infogalactic.com/info/Science#Science_and_society

It’s true, the “women in science” section has been deleted from the Science page. Why? First, because there is absolutely no case whatsoever that justifies its inclusion there. Second, because there is already a separate and detailed Women in Science page that is, quite correctly, devoted to the subject.

The topic “women in science” is an entirely separate subject than the topic of “science” for the same and obvious reason that the person sitting inside the car is not the car. Moreover, if “women in science” was a legitimate aspect of the topic “science”, then literally every topic would obviously need a similar “women in x” section.

Otherwise, it would quite clearly be sexism, historical discrimination, and thoughtcrime to fail to devote a section to women for every entry from Art to Zoology, including, but not limited to, the Battle of Borodino, the Sicilian Vespers, Sun Tzu’s The Art of War, and the page about Milo Yiannopoulos. Women were somehow involved in all those things, so there is no rational basis for which a “women in x” section can be justified for one topic and fail to be justified for another.

The real question is: Why was “women in science” ever part of the Science page in the first place? After all, there are no “Negroes in science” or “children in science” or “Native Americans in science” sections. There isn’t even a “men in science” page addressing the unique concerns of men as they relate to the method, the profession, and the knowledge base of science.

The answer, of course, is that “women in science” is nothing more than an ideological intrusion by SJWs attempting to converge the very description and summary of science toward “the highest abstract standard of social and distributive justice”. They aren’t genuinely concerned about either women or science. What concerns them is maintaining control of the flow of information and converging it to suit the Narrative as necessary, which is why Wikipedia’s 531 thought police patrol the encyclopedia so relentlessly.

Infogalactic threatens that control and the SJWs know it. They’re already past the Ignore phase and have entered the Mocking phase, which is remarkably fast considering that we only launched it one week ago. We’ll know Infogalactic is firmly established when they do a 180 and go from mocking it as “Voxopedia” to denying I had anything to do with its success. Anyhow, if you’d like to help us shatter their control entirely, as we intend to do within the next 36 months, sign up for a subscription, buy a Planetary Knowledge Core t-shirt, or donate to Phase Two: Neapolitan Spoon.

Note to Infogalactic supporters: we had a highly productive Techstars meeting Monday night with 19 volunteers, and as a result of the considerable technical talent now available, we have decided to significantly modify the Roadmap. The modified Roadmap will be posted later today; check out Infogalaxians this afternoon if you’re interested.

SJW entry point: HR

Dr. Helen reviews a new book about Human Resources and how SJWS use it to converge corporations:

Silicon Valley and the tech industries are the next targets. If you’re a manager at a tech company, we’ll suggest some ways to protect your people from HR and its emphasis on credentials and affirmative action (AA) over the best fit for a position. Corporate leaders need to be sure their HR departments are managed to prevent infiltration by staff more interested in correct politics than winning products. And we’ll show why appeasement of diversity activists is a dangerous strategy that may make your organization a target for further extortionate demands.

The next battlefield after high tech is discretion in hiring–which the activists believe must be limited to force employers to hire any candidate “qualified” for a job as soon as they apply. Only a few radicals are proposing this kind of blind hiring now, but continuing successes in getting firms to bow to their diversity demands will result in a list of new demands. We have already seen Seattle pass an ordinance requiring landlords to rent apartments to the first applicant who qualifies. And similar movements in hiring–supposedly to prevent discrimination by eliminating management choice of who to employ–are coming soon.

Of course, no one who has read SJWs Always Lie will be even remotely surprised by any of this. The good news is that all of this corporate convergence is creating a whole range of new opportunities as the converged corporations begin to pursue social justice objectives rather than serving their customers. It’s not a question of whether SJWs can ruin a company they converge.

Once they’ve entered, it’s only a question of when. And as long as we’re on the subject of SJWs, this probably as good a time as any to mention the latest from Dark Lord Designs.

The Restoration of Ricky Vaughn

It will not be happening. Twitter has formally buried his account.

It’s strange, but no one who has participated in targeting me for abuse has ever had their account suspended, let alone deleted. This is why, if you’re on Twitter, it’s time to move over to Gab. Your days are numbered there anyhow. Consider the casualties:

  • Milo
  • Scott Adams
  • Instapundit
  • Vox Day
  • Ricky Vaughn

I guarantee you that every single one of those individuals were more sinned against than sinning. But that is the SJW tactic, to repeatedly hit you, then declare that you are not allowed to hit back. That’s not right.

Hit back. Join #TheDisconvergence. Sign up for Gab. Start using Infogalactic. Start using Brave. We’re going to foxnews these fuckers to oblivion, and you’re going to help us do it. There are tens of thousands of you who have read SJWs Always Lie, so you know what the stakes are. When I wrote about “taking down the Thought Police”, this is exactly what I anticipated.

If you’ve ever rolled your eyes about a biased entry on Wikipedia or censored yourself on Twitter or Facebook because you knew if you exposed what you really think you’d find yourself the subject of an SJW campaign, you’re one of us already. It’s time for all of us to take the offense for a change and let the thought police worry about us.

UPDATE: a skeptic is impressed by the team’s work so far, but is characteristically skeptical about our ability to keep it up. I think we’ll surprise him in the future, as we can certainly work more efficiently and effectively than we have to date.

As an observer of a number of tech startups, I’m impressed with how much he’s done to date with quite modest funding. My crude estimate is that he’s been operating at roughly ten times the normal projected effectiveness in coding and deployment…. I’ve looked closely at three proposals (and seen countless more) to replicate Wikipedia in some fashion that theoretically creates revenue. This is the best thought out, and the best executed to date. He’s spent about a tenth what the next best plan cost, and achieved results about 4 months faster. Technically I should rate that as better than ten times. I’m not sure how you wish me to spin that. Would you like me to lie and say he’s horrible in my judgement?

INFOGALACTIC NOTE: If you’ve requested an account already, please be patient. We want to get you approved and editing, but we’ve had to hold them up while we fix an astonishingly stupid “feature” that would automatically expose your real names. I know that people are skeptical that we can do what we’re planning to do; but trust me, you have no idea how inexplicably insane the tools we’re presently utilizing are. If they worked the way any competent team would have designed them, we’d be halfway into Phase Three already. To date we’ve spent far more time fixing the dysfunctional tools that are available than we have doing anything new, which is why we plan to entirely replace them with tools of our own design.

Seriously, I’ve never seen inside a project where so many obviously terrible decisions were made and baked into the cake. And I was brought in to help fix Age of Conan.

Wait, they’re going to police US?

The lesser SJWs of SF fandom belatedly discover that SF’s thought police don’t only intend to police the speech, thoughts, and behavior of science fiction’s right wing:

The illiberal factions in fandom just want power. They don’t care much whom they go after, as long as they can flex their muscles. The Worldcon 75 committee has offered the latest sample of this, shoving Dave Weingart out as the filk head.

Dave discussed what happened here. In brief: Someone got the notion that Dave should never talk to her. He respected this. One day he inadvertently posted a Babylon 5 video link to a chat group which this other person was also in. For this, he was told he could continue to run filk only if he agreed to end all staff contact outside his division. Of course, it’s impossible to run a part of the program that way, so his only choice was to withdraw.

The concom’s action makes no sense of any kind. It grows out of the notion that “feeling offended” trumps every other consideration and entitles someone to claim any remedy. Well, listen, Helsinki gang. I’m offended. I hope every filker who was planning to go cancels out on you.

I once got a supporting membership. Some early suspicions that people of this kind were running the con led me to back out on it. I never had any real plans to go there, so there’s only one thing I can stop doing. I run a Twitter account called Filk News, which contains various tidbits about what’s happening in the filk world. From here on, I’m giving the Helsinki con no publicity there.

I know Dave personally. He’s a friend and a hard worker with a lot of integrity. Filkers know that. Maybe the Helsinki clique decided filk is beneath their idea of a con. They forget that filkers aren’t just filkers; we include pro writers, regular supporters of conventions, and other people who’ve helped to build and maintain fandom. If the con had just decided to drop filk — well, it can do that. But using bullying tactics to drive us away was a serious mistake.

And the Dark Lord laughed. It’s more than a little amusing to see how these hapless idiots obviously didn’t see it coming despite the fact that the same pattern has played out ever since the Montagnards turned on the Girondins. So, it should come as no surprise that the freakiest SJW, such as Mr. Alexandra Erin, publicly applaud the thought police, despite their hilarious incompetence.

I think no one would dispute to Mr. Weingart’s contributions to cons actually have been tremendously valuable. But as fannish circles and conventions embrace community standards and commitments to safety and work to be more welcoming to people from every walk of life, we really have to internalize the lesson that nobody is irreplaceable….

Even if he’s 100% right that this is just bad optics, even granting he’s 100% right that the restrictions he’d have to agree to would prevent him from doing his job, we can’t agree to treat women’s (and others’) safety concerns seriously right up until the moment that it’s inconvenient. That’s not how it works.

Translation: Everyone who doesn’t submit to the latest version of the Narrative will be replaced. And once they scent blood, the zharks will swarm. And really, if the safety of the delicate flowers is paramount, wouldn’t it be best for everyone if they just canceled the convention and everyone stayed home, safely ensconced in their blankets and covered with a thin, comforting coating of stale Doritos dust?

I look forward to the first accusations being directed at the Finns running Worldcon 75 and charging them with being secret Castalia operatives seeking to destroy the Hugo Awards.
