Then they came for Chuck Dixon

Reddit SJWs are attempting, with limited success, to brigade the latest episode of Chuck Dixon’s Avalon by leaving negative comments and driving the rating down. They have managed to drive it down to about 7.6 from the 9.6 it was before. There are only about 20 of them, but that’s been enough, apparently.  UPDATE: they’ve actually driven it below 7.0 now. As if that will accomplish anything. Gammas….

And in other Arkhaven news, Hypergamouse Episode 4, EVOLUTION IN ACTION, is now live.

For UATV subscribers, there is a new episode of Barcelona Life up on the new UATV site, featuring what I can testify is an excellent Kung Pao Chicken recipe.

Neil Gaiman is a massive prick

As, obviously enough, his ex-wife-to-be figured out before the rest of us:

Good Omens author Neil Gaiman has sparked outrage after he travelled 11,000 miles from New Zealand to the Isle of Skye so he and his wife could get ‘some space’ from each other.

The fantasy writer, 59, took to his blog on Thursday to describe his trip halfway  around the world from Auckland after he and singer Amanda Palmer hit a ‘rough place’ amid the coronavirus lockdown.

‘Hullo from Scotland, where I am in rural lockdown on my own,’ Gaiman wrote. ‘I’m half a world away from Amanda and [my son] Ash, and missing both of them a lot.’

He explained he had been living in New Zealand with Palmer and his son Ash, four, until two weeks ago, when the pair ‘agreed that we needed to give each other some space’ and he boarded a flight to London.

The pair, however, confirmed in a letter shared beneath the blog that they are ‘not getting divorced,’ and will ‘sort out our marriage in private.’

Gaiman said he borrowed a spare car from a friend after arriving in the UK and began the 600-mile drive north to his second home in Skye – despite Scottish officials urging Britons to stop travelling to the Islands.

‘What is it about people, when they know we are in the middle of the lockdown, that they think they can come here from the other side of the planet, in turn endangering local people from exposure to this infection that they could have picked up at any step of the way?’ local MP Ian Blackford added, according to the Sunday Times. ‘To descend on this island at this time, when we have a serious outbreak, which has resulted in such tragic circumstances — it pays scant respect to the families of the bereaved and the people who live here.’

What a solipsistic retard. Keep in mind, these are exactly the sort of people that SJWs revere. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least to learn that Gaiman and his wife were previously lecturing people on the vital importance of staying home and staying safe.

Why SJWs will always fail

It’s rather comical to see that Kickstarter’s Comic Outreach Lead was recently let go:

It was revealed last month that crowdfunding service popular amongst comic book creators, Kickstarter, had let 40{105b5945f2a7891a3dd860d3a09046b26c32f8a07d097b566642738deee8841e} of staffers go. They are not alone in this, Patreon also made redundancies, and IndieGoGo had similar last year. However, one of Kickstarter’s 40{105b5945f2a7891a3dd860d3a09046b26c32f8a07d097b566642738deee8841e} was Kickstarter’s Comic Outreach Lead, Camilla Zhang.

Why is this amusing?

Well, precisely how inept, how completely incompetent, does someone responsible for reaching out to comics crowdfunders have to be in order to not reach out to the most successful new comics crowdfunders in the history of comics crowdfunding?

Of course, we all understand why the SJWs at Kickstarter didn’t reach out to Arkhaven. And that is one of the reasons why 40 percent of their staff is now unemployed.

She’s not done

Episode 6 of Chuck Dixon’s Avalon is now live on Webtoons.

The good news: Now that Toaster Dude has been promoted to Original, Alt★Hero has moved up to #6 in the Superhero category, with more than 30,000 views and a subscriber/episode ratio over 540. This latter ratio appears to be the most important metric on the platform, as the top Canvas comics average between 1,500 and 3,500 subscribers per episode. The top Originals, which obviously have the benefit of significant algorithm-push behind them, average over 20,000 subscribers per episode.

The bad news: SJWs there have discovered Alt★Hero and driven its rating down from 9.53 to 9.30 in a matter of hours. The ride never ends.

If you want an easy way to take part in the war, download the app, subscribe, and rate. It literally costs you nothing.

UPDATE: Alt★Hero is now #4 and CDA is #9 in the Superhero category.

An unamenable authority

An SJW discovers that Castalia House is the wrong place to play the Informant Game.

Your author [REDACTED] is on social media making a complete ass of himself on a page that I would say is full of people who are not his usual customers, but he is in this page making comments on a recent hate crime we had here in American saying that the person in question deserved it, I have screen shots on all the comments and will send them once I get a response.

Dear SJW,

We don’t care if our authors burn SJWs at the stake. [AUTHOR] is free to think and say whatever he wants.

See: The 1st Amendment.

Regards,

Castalia House

Marvel MIA

Bleeding Cool notes that there may be trouble in the house of the Devil Mouse:

Marvel Comics Missing In Action Until At Least Mid-July

Marvel Comics issued a revised shipping schedule last night covering the end of May through into July. But which books are being scheduled and which are not? Firstly, nothing that was solicited for May or June is getting a look in yet, Instead, we seem to be getting a selection of the first few weeks of planned titles for April, spread out across the new period, with monthly comcis every two weeks and collections in the weeks between. Which titles we get, which we don’t, which are missing in action, and when if at all we will get them is something I am sure we will be looking at.

We’ll see how it all shakes out. In the meantime, we’ll continue breaking new ground.

Keep your gates

And defend your interests. Inclusivity is just another word for invasion, and diversity is just a synonym for destruction:

This is where the inclusivity experiment must end. Everything cannot be made for everyone, no matter how much some people try. Popular media with decades of history should not be trashed just so individuals who didn’t even like it in the first place can feel at home. And since most companies don’t have the balls to stand up to internet outrage, it’s up to long-term fans to shut down those who want to forcefully enact change. So, for as much backlash as the woke crowd is already receiving, they need to get even more of it. These people don’t deserve to feel welcome in our hobbies. There is no place for them here.

On the same hand, I don’t belong in theirs. If they create a new property built around stopping orc racism and snagging the land back from colonizers using the power of rainbows and hugs, who am I to barge in and demand they include more death and murder? That would be a game that caters to them, and they deserve to have that, just as we deserve to have our D&D with orcs as they have always been.

Gatekeeping. It’s for the best.

Don’t be afraid to kick people out of your games, groups, and organizations. No one has a right to be involved, and they certainly don’t have a right to demand changes that will suit their preferences or psychological issues.

And different people suit different roles. A perfectly suitable player might make for a terrible DM or guild master just as a first-rate sales manager can turn out to be a horrifically bad director of sales and marketing. The Peter Principle applies to entertainment as well as business.

Proximity equals possibility

Zeroh Tollrants wonders, in light of the ruin that is now games, why anyone ever wanted more women in gaming:

I need an explanation as to why any man thought it would be awesome to have women involved in their games. No one should trust anyone that dumb.

The gammas and omegas who make up the larger part of the RPG players and wargamers imagined that if women started spending time playing games with them, those women would be willing to date them. So they sacrificed their hobbies to their mostly unsatiated desires and wound up with SJWs policing their games.

It’s not hard to tell which of them still believes that price was worth paying.

And then they came for anime

There is literally nothing that is safe from SJWs. Not even being part of a foreign industry conducted in a foreign language that they don’t understand is enough to protect one from their rapacious and never-ending demands to submit to their narrative:

Fans of Japanese animation are getting increasingly angry at the politically correct reworking of the cartoons when they’re translated into English.

A recent announcement about anime production has alarmed consumers worried about the intrusion of political correctness into their entertainment. Funimation, a company that translates and distributes anime in English and which has a long record of censoring the English-language versions of the original Japanese shows, has joined a key committee overseeing anime production….

‘The Rising of the Shield Hero’ was deemed controversial in the USA because it included a storyline about a false accusation of rape. In the politically correct era of the Me Too movement, the suggestion that a woman might make a false accusation was considered provocative. The listen-and-believe agenda was deemed to apply to fiction. If Western partners – so politicised and vulnerable to social media pressure – were involved in assessing storylines, would such a plot be approved?

Western companies, staffed by individuals with assertive political and social outlooks, will attempt to influence Japanese studios, imposing their own beliefs. When progressives have the ability to meddle in the creative process they will not hold back, even if it leads to disastrous financial consequences. We already have evidence of this in the collapse of American superhero comics.

If you are not a fan of anime or manga, why should you care? Evidence shows that incremental expansion of control within culture affects us all. Political correctness in pop culture has already distorted production and reception of card games, video games, comics, movies and other areas. In high culture, moralising authoritarians exert powerful domination over fiction publication, theatre, ballet and museums, even leaving aside academia. Suppression of creativity and diversity of thought will continue and expand unless we actively expose and oppose it.

This is why we fight back every single time, in every single industry, no matter how seemingly insignificant. And as will be announced later today, we’re taking the opportunity of the SJW-inspired collapse in establishment superhero comics mentioned in the article to take back the ground that has been conceded to them.

Sometimes people ask me why I bother with comics when it obviously is not an area of particular interest to me. And it’s not, to be sure, as I have previously pointed out on the Darkstream, unless you read Eco and Dante in the original Italian, Goethe and Nietzsche in the original German, and Balzac in the original French, and your favorite authors are Eco, Hesse, and Murakami, you can’t possibly even hope to aspire to my level of literary snobdom. You need not remind me of the comic genre’s dearth of intellectual value; the fact that Neil Gaiman’s Sandman is considered the creme de la creme of comics should be a major point of embarrassment rather than pride.

But if you consider the level of influence Hollywood has had over Western culture for the last sixty years, then simply consider the list of movies that performed best at the box office, it is patently obvious that comics is one battleground that must not be conceded to the enemies of Western civilization.

SJW shenanigans at Amazon

Mike Cernovich reports that Amazon has been disappearing his documentary HOAXED from Kindle devices:

Hoaxed Movie has been banned by Amazon. When you try buying Hoaxed on Amazon you get this message:

“Our agreements with the content provider don’t allow purchases of this title at this time.”

That’s spin for Amazon banned the film as Amazon has all rights to sell / distribute it. Others have told me that Amazon has begun removing Hoaxed from the devices of purchasers.

There is an obvious anomaly to be observed here as the film is also being reported as being “too disturbing”. What these sorts of anomalies indicate, in my experience, is that it is almost certainly NOT Amazon policy that is responsible here, but rather, an SJW or two in the relevant department abusing his position to effectively ban the film.

We’ve seen this at least nine different times with Castalia ebooks. It’s the sort of thing I describe in Corporate Cancer.
