The evil of encouraging “refugees”

Peter Hitchens rightly denounces the dyscivic, dyscivilizational impulse to “welcome refugees”:

Actually we can’t do what we like with this country. We inherited it from our parents and grandparents and we have a duty to hand it on to our children and grandchildren, preferably improved and certainly undamaged.

It is one of the heaviest responsibilities we will ever have. We cannot just give it away to complete strangers on an impulse because it makes us feel good about ourselves.

Every one of the posturing notables simpering ‘refugees welcome’ should be asked if he or she will take a refugee family into his or her home for an indefinite period, and pay for their food, medical treatment and education.

If so, they mean it. If not, they are merely demanding that others pay and make room so that they can experience a self-righteous glow. No doubt the same people are also sentimental enthusiasts for the ‘living wage’, and ‘social housing’, when in fact open borders are steadily pushing wages down and housing costs up.

As William Blake rightly said: ‘He who would do good to another must do it in minute particulars. General good is the plea of the scoundrel, hypocrite and flatterer.’

Britain is a desirable place to live mainly because it is an island, which most people can’t get to. Most of the really successful civilisations survived because they were protected from invasion by mountains, sea, deserts or a combination of these things. Ask the Russians or the Poles what it’s like to live without the shield of the sea. There is no positive word for ‘safety’ in Russian. Their word for security is ‘bezopasnost’ – ‘without danger’.

Thanks to a thousand years of uninvaded peace, we have developed astonishing levels of trust, safety and freedom. I have visited nearly 60 countries and lived in the USSR, Russia and the USA, and I have never experienced anything as good as what we have. Only in the Anglosphere countries – the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand – is there anything comparable. I am amazed at how relaxed we are about giving this away.

Our advantages depend very much on our shared past, our inherited traditions, habits and memories. Newcomers can learn them, but only if they come in small enough numbers. Mass immigration means we adapt to them, when they should be adapting to us.

So now, on the basis of an emotional spasm, dressed up as civilisation and generosity, are we going to say that we abandon this legacy and decline our obligation to pass it on, like the enfeebled, wastrel heirs of an ancient inheritance letting the great house and the estate go to ruin?

Having seen more than my share of real corpses, and watched children starving to death in a Somali famine, I am not unmoved by pictures of a dead child on a Turkish beach. But I am not going to pretend to be more upset than anyone else. Nor am I going to suddenly stop thinking, as so many people in the media and politics appear to have done.

The child is not dead because advanced countries have immigration laws. The child is dead because criminal traffickers cynically risked the lives of their victims in pursuit of money.

I’ll go further. The use of words such as ‘desperate’ is quite wrong in this case. The child’s family were safe in Turkey. Turkey (for all its many faults) is a member of Nato, officially classified as free and democratic. Many British people actually pay good money to go on holiday to the very beach where the child’s body was washed up.

It may not be ideal, but the definition of a refugee is that he is fleeing from danger, not fleeing towards a higher standard of living.

One can’t help but observe that European Post-Christianity is so noxious, is so fundamentally destructive, that it is destroying the societies it has infested in the very first generation. It appears that having ceased to be Christian, there is no more need for Christendom.

By “helping” these “refugees” by permitting them to invade en masse, the First World is ensuring that it will never again be able to assist the victims of future crises.

Ethnic cleansing in Europe

The Muslims are already actively engaging in it.

In the Bury Park area of Luton, Muslims have been accused of “ethnic cleansing” by harassing non-Muslims to the point that many of them move out of Muslim neighborhoods. In the West Midlands, two Christian preachers have been accused of “hate crimes” for handing out gospel leaflets in a predominantly Muslim area of Birmingham. In Leytonstone in east London, the Muslim extremist Abu Izzadeen heckled the former Home Secretary John Reid by saying: “How dare you come to a Muslim area.”

In France, large swaths of Muslim neighborhoods are now considered “no-go” zones by French police. At last count, there are 751 Sensitive Urban Zones (Zones Urbaines Sensibles, ZUS), as they are euphemistically called. A complete list of the ZUS can be found on a French government website, complete with satellite maps and precise street demarcations. An estimated 5 million Muslims live in the ZUS, parts of France over which the French state has lost control.

Muslim immigrants are taking control of other parts of France too. In Paris and other French cities with high Muslim populations, such as Lyons, Marseilles and Toulouse, thousands of Muslims are closing off streets and sidewalks (and by extension, are closing down local businesses and trapping non-Muslim residents in their homes and offices) to accommodate overflowing crowds for Friday prayers. Some mosques have also begun broadcasting sermons and chants of “Allahu Akbar” via loudspeakers into the streets.

The weekly spectacles, which have been documented by dozens of videos posted on Youtube.com (here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here), and which have been denounced as an “occupation without tanks or soldiers,” have provoked anger and disbelief. But despite many public complaints, local authorities have declined to intervene because they are afraid of sparking riots.

In the Belgian capital of Brussels (which is 20% Muslim), several immigrant neighborhoods have become “no-go” zones for police officers, who frequently are pelted with rocks by Muslim youth. In the Kuregem district of Brussels, which often resembles an urban war zone, police are forced to patrol the area with two police cars: one car to carry out the patrols and another car to prevent the first car from being attacked. In the Molenbeek district of Brussels, police have been ordered not to drink coffee or eat a sandwich in public during the Islamic month of Ramadan.

In Germany, Chief Police Commissioner Bernhard Witthaut, in an August 1 interview with the newspaper Der Westen, revealed that Muslim immigrants are imposing “no-go” zones in cities across Germany at an alarming rate.

The interviewer asked Witthaut: “Are there urban areas – for example in the Ruhr – districts and housing blocks that are “no-go areas,” meaning that they can no longer be secured by the police?” Witthaut replied: “Every police commissioner and interior minister will deny it. But of course we know where we can go with the police car and where, even initially, only with the personnel carrier. The reason is that our colleagues can no longer feel safe there in twos, and have to fear becoming the victim of a crime themselves. We know that these areas exist. Even worse: in these areas crimes no longer result in charges. They are left ‘to themselves.’ Only in the worst cases do we in the police learn anything about it. The power of the state is completely out of the picture.”

If you think it will not happen in the USA, think again. There are already 7 million Muslims in America, more than the 6 million in German, the 4 million in France, or the 3 million in the UK.

What was he waiting for?

Texas governor Rick Perry finally deploys the Texas National Guard:

Texas Gov. Rick Perry is expected Monday to announce the deployment of up to 1,000 National Guard troops to the border following an incident in which members of Mexican drug cartels allegedly fired shots from a .50-caliber machine gun from the Mexican side of the border into Texas, sending U.S. Border Patrol guards scurrying for cover.

Following the shooting incident Friday night, Texas state Rep. Terry Canales, a Democrat, told the Associated Press he was briefed by his staff on Sunday after a conference call with the governor’s office, Texas National Guard and the state Department of Public Safety. Perry is scheduled to make the announcement Monday at 2 p.m. Central Time.

More than 3,000 Border Patrol agents now work in South Texas, and Perry has repeatedly asked President Obama to send the National Guard to the border. At the same time, Perry has come under growing pressure from the conservative wing of his own party to act on his own under Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution. This clause gives states the right to declare an ‘imminent danger’…and to call up the National Guard.

Conservative politicians don’t seem to understand that the days of “calling for” this and “fighting for” that are over. Do something or shut up. Why was Perry asking Obama to do his job for him? It’s this sort of political tone-deafness that allowed a very vulnerable Romney to steamroll him during the 2012 nomination.

And why only 1,000 National Guardsmen? That’s not enough to control the border. It looks as if Perry is only acting in order to appear he is doing something.

Homeschool or die, vol XLVI

Pity those poor “children” crossing the southern border:

You’re going to hear plenty of people try to explain how, if a school turns such a “student” away, it’s racism. You’ve been told thousands of times that stopping illegal immigrants at the border is “hate.”  You’ve been told that even calling this a problem means you’re some kind of right-wing nut or white supremacist.

This story–grown men and women being shipped to Massachusetts at taxpayer expense and enrolling in your kids’ schools–is the real story of amnesty. Announcing that we can have no immigration laws, that none of the rules are enforcable, etc leads directly to the “every man for himself” shakedown of taxpayers by illegal immigrants who are only looting what we’re leaving unlocked.

And so…

 Isai [the guy in the photo above] and Candelaria are enrolled in the ninth grade and are expected to arrive in class this fall, Latham confirmed to NRO. When potential age discrepancies arise, Latham says city officials visit the residences of the “minors” to attempt to verify the age of the individuals in question. On one occasion that she’s aware of, Latham says a relative at one such residence identified an illegal immigrant “child” as between the ages of 30 and 35.

And if you’ve got the facts, this story isn’t that surprising. According to the Center for Immigration Studies, tens of thousands of adults are part of the current surge from Central America.

Department of Homeland Security officials have said that between October and June the Border Patrol had apprehended 39,000 adults traveling with an unspecified number of children. The number of unaccompanied children apprehended as of mid-June was 52,000.

You’ve been told this is a tidal wave of junior high kids wandering across the border. That’s just not true.

And that’s just the count of those who have been caught and released. What’s the over/under on public school boys and girls being raped and murdered by their overage classmates in the coming school term? All so feckless Americans can feel good about their refusal to defend their own country’s borders.

Siding with the invaders

The federal government has chosen its side, and it is clearly not the side of the law-abiding American people:

As illegal immigrants continue to spill across the U.S.-Mexico border, federal authorities are attempting to relocate the migrants from South Texas to housing facilities in states across the nation. One such facility is located in Murrieta, California, where a large group of protesters recently blocked a bus full of migrants from arriving. The protesters remain there, adamant that illegal immigrants don’t get dumped in their town.

But soon the concerned citizens may be forced to step down–Breitbart Texas has learned that federal agents plan to arrive in Murrieta on Monday with riot gear to ensure that another busload makes it to the housing facility.

Jeremy Oliver, a resident of Temecula, California–a town that neighbors Murrieta–told Breitbart Texas that local police officers warned the protesters that “it’s going to get ugly.”

Oliver said, “The feds are pissed that they haven’t been able to use this facility. Officers out there warned people that federal agents will be in Murrieta on Monday–they are going to get the next bus through no matter what. Riot gear and shields will be used to push the crowd back.”

John Henry, a Murrieta resident since 1991, was told the same thing by local officers.

“We’re being told that federal Marshals or ICE will be here in the next few days and that they are bringing riot gear,” Henry said. “They’re apparently going to be blocking off the street with concrete blockades so that no vehicles can get through. The River County Sheriff’s Department showed up last night and brought a huge watch tower that shoots up into the air 35 feet.”

It will be interesting how determined the Feds will be to protect the continued invasion of the southern border if the protesters show up armed and in similar numbers as they did at the Bundy Ranch earlier this year.

Seriously, if the Germans simply hadn’t armed its soldiers, how many of those defending the current invasion of the USA would have defended Operation Barbarossa? And it would appear that a big apology is owed to those Germans who peacefully immigrated into the Sudentenland, as that migration was considerably less violent than the ongoing annexation of the American southwest.

UPDATE: And it looks to get interesting: A group that identifies itself as a coalition of “Patriots” has put out a call for people to go to the Texas-Mexico border and help with a citizen militia operation called “Secure our Border – Laredo.” A spokeswoman for the group, Denice Freeman, said the operation is a call for civilian militia members — both armed and unarmed — to voluntarily guard private property in the Laredo area and other Texas locations where owners feel threatened by “drug cartels and from gangs, particularly the MS-13 gangs,” a Salvadoran-based gang that is considered among the most dangerous in this country by law enforcement.

The choice facing the West

Islam or Christianity. Secularism is not an available option. Here is the Muslim vision for Britain under Sharia:

If the Muslim sees a kaffir with nice clothes, the kaffir has to take his clothes off and give them to the Muslim. The kaffir, when he walks down the street, he has to wear a red belt around his neck, and he has to have his forehead shaved, and he has to wear two shoes that are different from one another. He [the non-believer] is not allowed to walk on the pavement, he has to walk in the middle of the road, and he has to ride a mule. They can have churches, but are not allowed to ring the bell….

We cover up all the women and put a niqab on their faces, including Queen Elizabeth and Kate Middleton as well, the whore, the fornicator.

Christianity will survive its abandonment by Western civilization. Western civilization will not survive its abandonment of Christianity. It is said that the Constitution is not a suicide pact. If that is true, then obviously the 1st Amendment cannot be either.

There is no such thing as “moderate” Islam. The War of the Third Wave of Islamic expansion is already underway, the problem is that only one side is aware of it.

The impotence of the imperial USA

It’s always dangerous to bet on the invader. From the WWII-era women who fraternized with the Nazi occupiers to the US-appointed judge, people have discovered that sooner or later, the invader will go home and they’ll be left to face the judgment of those they betrayed:

But this goes both ways. I’m sure there were more than a few Spaniards who, after two or three hundred years, were convinced that Spain would always be Muslim.

Invasion, not integration

The mass immigration of the late 20th century is simply not the same as the European immigration of the 19th century. All social policies formulated on the basis of the false equivalence will not only fail, but lead to considerable bloodshed in the near future. The reason is that most of these immigrants have no desire to assimilate into Western society; they come not as supplicants, but conquerers.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called on Turkish citizens living in France to apply for dual citizenship and be integrated with the French society, but also stay loyal to their roots, especially their language and religion, Hurriyet Daily News reported.

“There are 620,000 Turkish citizens living in France,” he said while addressing the Union of European Turkish Democrats, or UETD, in Lyon June 21. “Why don’t they apply for dual citizenship?” he asked….

Erdogan advised Turks in France not to forget about their French citizenship. “Feel proud of your identity. Particularly do not forget or let forget your language and beliefs. France needs people like you,” he said. “Do not become assimilated and let our kids be assimilated.”

Turkey is no more immune to the expansionary pressures of the Third Jihad than other Islamic nations. The West is still waiting for its Charles Martel 2.0, but the sooner Europe and America begin their Second Reconquistas, the less terrible it will be for the West and the West’s invaders alike. A better question would be: why are 620,00 Turks living in France instead of Turkey? That is a Turkish invasion more than five times larger than Sultan Suleiman I’s army of 120,000 that conquered Hungary and besieged Vienna.

The first step is to reject all amnesty and immigration “reform”. The second is to end dual-citizenship. And the third is to end birth citizenship. Then, and only then, can the invasions begin to be rolled back with the mass deportations that will make Eisenhower’s million-Mexican Operation Wetback look petty.

Meanwhile, in England, more than 500 “British” Muslims have traveled to Iraq to fight for the establishment of the global caliphate. If Baghdad falls, it won’t be long before they are fighting for it in Londonistan.

Given advancements in human genetics and the scientific understanding
of their implications, I think safe to assume that more than one
European nation will eventually adopt genetic-based citizenship
standards on much the same grounds that Erdogan is assuming that
Turkish-French dual citizens will remain Turkish in terms of language,
identity, and beliefs.

The coming tragedies and
atrocities will not be the fault of those who are determined to defend
their nations and cultures and keep them alive at any cost, but those
who blithely threw history and logic out the window in the name of the myth of human
equality.

Republican sellout bites the dust

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s political career was just ended over his traitorous love of immigration:

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor was defeated Tuesday by a little-known economics professor in Virginia’s Republican primary, a stunning upset and major victory for the tea party. Cantor is the second-most powerful member of the U.S. House and was seen by some as a possible successor to the House speaker. His loss to Dave Brat, a political novice with little money marks a huge victory for the tea party movement, which supported Cantor just a few years ago.

Perhaps the idiot Republicans will rethink their decision to serve as Obama’s vanguard on the invasion amnesty. Opposing immigration, opposing amnesty, and opposing the ongoing foreign invasion is the winning issue in American politics, just as it is in European politics. As more immigrants migrate, the more blacks and whites of every ideological stripe will turn against immigration and the politicians who support it.

It’s not about legal or illegal, it’s about the numbers.

They are not members of US society

The federal government is aiding and abetting a large-scale invasion of the USA:

“We’re taking a historic step to strengthen our justice system and protect the rights of the most vulnerable members of society,” Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. said in a statement announcing the plan.

“How we treat those in need, particularly young people who must appear in immigration proceedings — many of whom are fleeing violence, persecution, abuse or trafficking — goes to the core of who we are as a nation,” he said.

Known as unaccompanied alien children, they are generally from Central America, are escaping poverty, abuse or dangerous gangs back home, and make the harrowing trek through Mexico and across the U.S. border.

The government expects more than 90,000 of the children to be apprehended on the U.S. side of the border this year and more than 140,000 to be caught next year. That doesn’t include the tens of thousands more who avoid capture.

This Children’s Crusade is more than three times larger than Napoleon’s army at Waterloo.  The USA should be defending the borders against them, not hiring them lawyers. And Cantor and company should be impeaching Obama for this, not trying to help him push through the amnesty program for illegals that sparked this latest invasion.

If it was not already obvious that the post-1965 immigration program will destroy the USA, this latest twist should make it abundantly clear. Perhaps we should simply send one unaccompanied immigrant child to every voter who has supported immigration in the past. And this puts the lie to the myth that immigrants are just hard-working people seeking opportunity.
