Why Were They Even There?

I don’t care in the slightest about Eurovision, but in light of the “controversy” I’m astonished that the Eurovision people permitted Israel to compete at all.

Around 4,000 musicians, artist and music industry pros from five Nordic countries signed an open letter denouncing the Middle Eastern country’s entry in the 69th Eurovision song contest in Basel.

Those who signed the statement, including some previous Eurovision winners, dubbed Israel’s involvement in the competition as a bid to ‘whitewash and divert attention’ from the Israel’s bombardment on Gaza.

It argued that Israel ‘should not have the opportunity to polish its public image on the Eurovision stage and thus use this to cover up and continue its human rights violations.’

Elsewhere broadcasters in Spain, Ireland and Slovenia have called for a debate on Israel’s involvement. Last week, 70 former Eurovision contestants signed a letter calling on the organisers to ban Israel from the competition.

More than 53,000 people have been killed by Israel’s bombardment of the besieged territory, with all aid blocked from entering Gaza since March.

Israel should never have been permitted to compete in Eurovision in the first place. First and foremost, it’s not in Europe. Second, it makes zero sense for Israel to be permitted to participate when Russia is banned from participating. And third, there was zero chance that the Israeli competitor was going to be received well by the Eurovision audience.

The Charade is Ending

The Russians are observably tiring of all the Western antics and attempts to spin their way out of obvious defeat:

I hope everyone can understand why the Russian President didn’t come to Turkey or even consider the EU proposed Ceasefire.

This is a waste of our time.

We are all for peace, but we have the might to keep the SMO going, not you. The only ones to suffer will be the Ukrainian population.

Don’t act like this is us begging you, we could declare war and crush you in days if Putin decides, and the world would watch us do it.

We do this to spare your population.

Sooner or later the Russians will put an end to the Kiev regime, and, one hopes, the Brussels regime as well. But until then, we’ll have to listen to the yapping of the satanic little lapdogs desperately trying to word-magic reality more to their liking.

Hungary Moving on Transcarpathia

There are multiple reports that Hungary has moved potential invasion forces to the Ukrainian border:

Hungary has deployed tanks and armored vehicles to 5 main checkpoints on the Hungarian-Ukrainian border: Zakhony, Beregshurany, Tisabech, Barabash and Nagybodosh.

It is noteworthy that this happened after the espionage scandal, when Hungary expelled two Ukrainians from the embassy who were engaged in espionage. This led to the breakdown of negotiations in Uzhhorod, where 11 conditions for the restoration of the rights of the Hungarian national minority were to be discussed on May 12.

Since the EU is already threatening to strip Hungary of its right to vote, Hungary might as well take action to recover the land that was historically Hungarian and is populated by Hungarian-speaking Hungarians. There certainly won’t be anything that the Kiev regime could do about it, and it would open another front at a time that the regime’s forces are on the verge of collapse all across the various Russian fronts.

Hal Turner sees this potential reclamation of Transcarpathia as a major threat to the stability of the European Union.

If this is what Hungary is actually doing, re-taking Transcarpathia, the European Union will likely go berserk. They are already fed-up with Hungary voting to deny additional aid to Ukraine. A vote coming later this week, is specifically being designed to neutralize Hungary’s ability to bloc further EU aid to Ukraine; they will adopt legislation in a manner that prevents a single nation from blocking more aid. Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who leads Hungary, has already seen the writing on the wall of Europe when, last month, discussions took place to strip Hungary of EU voting rights.

If Hungary is going to switch sides, as it certainly should, this would probably be an optimal time to do so, since there aren’t any forces in Europe capable of intervening, especially not if Russia recognizes Hungary’s right to reclaim its historical land and respects the rights to self-determination of the Transcarpathians.

The Emptiest of Threats

The total emasculation of the European countries and the irrelevance of the US military has never been more obvious than seeing the British Prime Minister and other Clown World puppets shaking their tiny little fists at the Russians.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has ‘called Putin out’ and demanded ‘no ifs or buts’ as he joined world leaders in cranking up pressure on Russia to accept a ceasefire in Ukraine. The leaders of Britain, France, Germany and Poland arrived in Kyiv on Saturday for talks with Ukrainian President Zelensky in a show of unity of the ‘coalition of the willing’, a day after Putin hosted his allies for a Red Square Victory Day parade.

Speaking in a press conference alongside his European counterparts, Sir Keir said Europe is ‘stepping up’ on the 80th anniversary of VE day to secure Ukraine’s long-term future – after Putin called a three-day ceasefire for his Moscow event.

‘Volodymyr, we stand with you to secure the just and lasting peace that Ukraine deserves,’ the PM said.

‘It’s almost two months now since you agreed to an immediate 30 day ceasefire. In that time, Russia has launched some of the most deadly attacks on civilians of the entire war, including here in Kyiv. Normal lives, homes, families, destroyed.

‘This is what Russia offers in place of peace along with delays, smoke screens, like the current 72 hour ceasefire. And so all of us here together with the US are calling Putin out. 

‘If he’s serious about peace then he has a chance to show it now. By extending the VE day pause into a full unconditional 30 day ceasefire, with negotiations to follow immediately after a ceasefire is agreed. No more ifs and buts, no more conditions and delays. Putin didn’t need conditions when he wanted a ceasefire to have a parade. And he doesn’t need them now.’

This isn’t that hard. Putin wanted a parade. He doesn’t want Kiev to rearm its depleted military. If Kiev is going to rearm during a ceasefire, then there will be no ceasefire. Russia has already been through this twice already and does not intend to do so again.

Who, or what, do these clowns think they’re impressing? I think the only reason the Russians don’t simply hazeltree the lot of them at one of their bi-weekly ritual gatherings is because Putin knows that even if their posturing is tedious and annoying, their ineffectual non-leadership isn’t getting in the way of the Russians achieving their objectives.

It’s like a spin on the old Robin Williams joke. “Sanctions! Now stop, or I shall sanction you again!”

EU = Elective Unaliving

Hungary rightly reacts with horror to the EU’s plan to bring about an actual Dark Age to Europe:

The European Commission’s plan to completely phase out Russian fuel imports violates the sovereignty of EU member states by depriving them of the right to choose their energy sources, according to Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.

Brussels has outlined plans to end the bloc’s energy reliance on Moscow by completely eliminating imports of oil, gas, and nuclear fuel in the coming years. Hungary obtains over 80% of its gas from Russia via pipeline, with LNG playing a supplementary role. Budapest has continued to strengthen its energy ties with Moscow despite the sanctions introduced by the EU in the wake of the Ukraine conflict.

“The forced, artificially ideological-based exclusion of natural gas, crude oil, and nuclear fuel originating from Russia will lead to severe price increases in Europe, seriously harming the sovereignty of European countries, and cause major difficulties for European companies,” Szijjarto said in a video he shared on his Facebook page on Tuesday, adding that “what was announced is absolute insanity.”

“Everyone in Brussels has lost their common sense,” the foreign minister exclaimed, emphasizing that Budapest would not allow the European Commission (EC) to violate Hungary’s sovereignty and would “uphold the right to source energy from where it reliably arrives and where it arrives at a low cost.”

If Brussels successfully implements this energy-starvation plan in even part of Europe, the European nations will be begging for Russia to liberate them from the anti-democratic satanic lunatics now ruling over them.

An Easy Way Out

The EU’s High Commissioner just handed EU member states an easy way to exit Europe’s little clown empire:

The EU has reaffirmed its refusal to recognize Russia’s sovereignty over Crimea, the bloc’s foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, has said.

Officials in Brussels are reportedly concerned that a possible peace deal negotiated by Washington and Moscow to end the Ukraine conflict would entail the US recognizing Crimea as part of Russia. The peninsula voted to secede from Ukraine and join Russia shortly after the 2014 Western-backed coup in Kiev.

Speaking to the Financial Times on Thursday, Kallas, the EU high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, claimed that “Crimea is Ukraine,” adding that “no EU country would accept recognition of Crimea as Russia.”

There’s the easy out. A European nation just has to recognize Crimea as Russian, which it obviously is, and thereby render itself a non-EU country. I assume the Russians would be more than happy to defend the rights of any such sovereign ex-EU state.

Green Energy Blackout

Spain, Portugal, and parts of France have been without electricity all day:

Panic buying has swept Spain and Portugal as nationwide blackouts paralysed both countries, shutting down transport networks and prompting people to clear supermarket shelves amid fears the chaos could last for days.

Huge queues formed outside shops and banks as residents and tourists desperately sought to stockpile essentials and take out cash as much cash as they could amid the uncertainty.

Rows of cars were pictured lining up at petrol stations as people hoped to fill up their vehicles and fuel cans, with ex-pats detailing how they have tried to power generators to keep their homes going.

Airports have also been hit by the outages, with flights delayed and cancelled and holidaymakers in Portugal warned by the country’s flagship airline TAP Air not to travel for their flights until further notice.

A British holidaymaker in Madrid described the situation in the city centre as ‘carnage’, telling MailOnline: ‘People are starting to panic. It’s going to get really bad if they don’t restore power quickly.’

Madrid’s Mayor urged people in the city to stay where they were as the disaster unfolded, while the president of the city’s regional government called for Spain’s prime minister to activate an emergency plan to allow for soldiers to be deployed.

Power outages gripped Spain at around 12.30 local time, plunging millions into darkness. Spain’s nuclear power plants automatically stopped, but diesel generators were activated to keep them in ‘safe condition’, officials said.

Trains and metro services were shut down in both countries, with people stuck in tunnels and on railway tracks, forcing evacuations.

Portugal’s electricity grid operator warned that it is ‘impossible’ to say when the power supply would be fully restored, adding that while ‘all resources’ were deployed to resolve the issues, it could take up to a week to fix.

The power cuts come just days after Spain’s power grid ran entirely on renewable energy, including wind, solar and hydro power, for a whole day for the first time on April 16. 

Spanish officials are urgently investigating the cause of the outages and have said they are looking into the possibility of the blackouts being triggered by a devastating cyber attack. 

Videos online show railway networks in Spanish cities plunged into chaos, with people being evacuated through tunnels as blackouts hit underground stations and halted trains.

The centralized power grid was always a foolish idea, with little redundancy and a natural tendency to get pushed beyond its limits. But attempting to go entirely to so-called “renewable” energy – as if oil isn’t a naturally renewable resource – was always likely to result in something like this.

Ill-Suited for War

It turns out that the profit motive tends to undermine actual military performance, which is why Clown World has long preferred subversion and color revolution to direct conflict:

Spiegel published a quite eye-opening piece yesterday, which reveals the long-kept truth about the performance of German weapons systems in real wartime conditions:

A German military assessment exposes major issues with NATO weapons in Ukraine.

The PzH 2000 howitzer, while advanced, is so technically fragile that its combat usefulness is in doubt. The Leopard 1A5 tank is used mostly as makeshift artillery due to weak armor. The Leopard 2A6 is too expensive and complex to maintain at the front.

Air defense systems also face problems. The IRIS-T works well, but ammo is too costly and scarce. The Patriot system is called “unsuitable for combat” because its MAN carrier vehicles are outdated and lack spare parts.

This information was revealed in a transcript of a lecture given by the deputy military attaché of the German embassy in Kiev. The summary of the paper is very clear: “Hardly any large German piece of equipment is fully suitable for war.”

The report cites “an internal paper of the Bundeswehr” about the real practicality of Germany’s top weapons. We can assume that the very same results extend to the entire constellation of NATO weaponry in general, since they are virtually all constructed with the same design philosophies, often even with interoperable systems—like the 120mm Rheinmetall tank barrels shared between the Abrams and Leopard series.

Also, for the sake of thoroughness and to establish context, Spiegel explains that the ‘report’ was taken from a lecture given to junior officers of the Bundeswehr by a ‘deputy military attaché of the German embassy in Kiev.

None of this should come as a surprise. The so-called “military-industrial complex” is neither military nor industrial; it’s really just another way of feeding off federal funds through government grants, no different than Politico making a living by selling massively overpriced subscriptions to USAID.

And the more things change… overengineered, expensive, hard-to-maintain weapons systems have been a German tradition since at least WWII, one that the USA inherited when it imported all the German scientists in the post-WWII migration that launched the US space program.

Which, of course, is also a fraud. No wonder the Russians are entirely confident of victory even if they have to face the entire continent of Europe alone. Simply living in objective reality instead of a hazy fog of financialization and rhetorical fever dreams is a material advantage that cannot be overcome, no matter how many delusional sales pitches are pronounced by unelected politicians.

Here is a useful metric: if a leader has no genuine followers, he’s a puppet and everything he says will be intrinsically false and is intended to be misleading.

Saving Democracy

Requires breaking the rules of the organization and stripping an entire nation of 9.6 million people of its right to express its collective opinion.

The EU needs to deprive Hungary of its voting rights within the bloc to ensure sanctions on Russia stay in place, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna has said. Budapest has long advocated a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine conflict and called for restrictions against Moscow to be lifted.

Hungary is allegedly “playing on [Russian President Vladimir] Putin’s team” and “not on our European team,” Tsahkna told the German newspaper Rheinische Post in an interview published on Saturday. He stated that Budapest could bloc some key decisions related to the bloc’s policy on Russia in the near future, since they require unanimity.

In particular, Hungary could block the next extension of sanctions on Moscow, Estonia’s top diplomat said. “If they block this in June, not only will the sanctions expire, but we would have to hand over the €240 billion to Putin,” Tsahkna said, adding that EU nations would then have to fund Kiev’s war effort with the money “from our taxpayers.”

How does anyone manage to listen to these sanctimonious clowns and take their opinions seriously? The inversion that comes out of their mouths on a regular basis is so diametrically opposed to observable reality and basic terms from the dictionary that it makes one wonder how they manage to successfully feed themselves. Are they so engulfed with lies that they can’t even tell the difference between truth and falsehood anymore?

And at some point, shouldn’t they be able to see that if their “democracy” requires all of these extreme measures simply to function at all, perhaps it isn’t worth preserving?

EU Hit From Both Sides

The EU’s reaction to getting a taste of its own medicine is downright humorous:

EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyden has three big concerns with the new trade/tariff reset. I strongly suggest everyone to read the EU concerns slowly to fully absorb decades of hypocrisy now surfacing:

  • The EU will not be able to compete for U.S. market share with 20% general tariffs and 25% auto tariffs.
  • The EU must deploy countermeasures against the risk of losing industrial capacity and manufacturing to the United States.
  • The EU must defend itself against China dumping cheap products into the EU now rejected by the USA.

Von der Leyen is concerned mostly about the extremely valuable U.S. consumer being leveraged by President Trump, essentially blocking exploitation from EU and Asia. The EU will not tolerate losing access to the most valuable customers in the world, Americans.

So, just to be clear, the EU is now going to a) fight a shooting war with Russia, b) fight an economic war with the USA, and c) fight an economic war with China.

I strongly recommend exiting the so-called Union at the earliest opportunity to every leader of an EU member state. The EU is the last surviving vestige of the neo-liberal world order and it’s going to collapse soon.
