The future of Aztec America

Remember, Hispanics are “natural conservatives”:

On Sept. 26, a violent gang and a criminal government combined to massacre 43 students near the Guerrero state town of Iguala.

A perceived attitude of elite indifference by Guerrero state and federal government officials has fanned national outrage. Now, as demonstrators block the runways of Acapulco’s airport and protests over gang-government collusion spread, Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto faces an expanding crisis of confidence in government institutions….

On Sept. 26, Iguala municipal police broke up a march and a political demonstration staged by student protestors. Police killed six and then arrested another 43 student protestors. The police killed perhaps another dozen (by “asphyxiation,” investigators believe) and then handed the others over to the Guerreros Unidos (United Warriors) gang. The gangsters killed the other 30 or so young men and women, shredded their corpses and burned the remains. After two gang members confessed in late October, investigators found burnt bone fragments in a dump near the town of Cocula (17 kilometers from Iguala). Search parties also discovered six bags of human remains.

Yes, policemen and gang gunmen colluding to commit mass murder….

That’s what the Obama administration and Republican immigration supporters are is seeking to make possible here in the American Southwest. Geography isn’t magic. The nature of a country is formed by the people who inhabit it. Just as the America inhabited by Indians was very different than the America inhabited by white European colonists, the America invaded by 60 to 100 million non-European settlers, none of whom have any regard for white European traditions, is going to be very different than the one that preceded it.

No one is coming to America or Europe because they “want to be free” anymore. They’re going there because they want to live more comfortably in a rich, white, Western country. Which is completely understandable, of course, but if most of them were capable of doing so successfully, they would already be doing it in their homelands.

It’s much easier to pull things down than lift them up. And neither civilization nor societal wealth and order are givens. Is it possible for immigrants to transform into quasi-natives over time? Of course. My great-grandfather, the Mexican revolutionary, fled to America in order to escape the assassins who killed Pancho Villa. But he came by himself and integrated to such an extent that neither his daughter nor his granddaughter ever learned Spanish. But that is small-scale immigration. What we have been seeing for the last three decades is mass migration and invasion, and it has already had an observably negative effect on the wealth and social order of the USA.

Perhaps it would be useful to distinguish between the immigrant, who intends to transform himself and his children into the native culture, and the settler, who intends to transform the native culture to better suit him and his children.

Confessions of a Baby Boomer

Steve Sailer admits to possessing the conventional bulletproof Baby Boomer delusion bubble:

When I was young, music was seen as a zero sum warfare, a blitzkrieg to take social validation away from older people. When it comes to music, my Baby Boomer ego is generationally bulletproof. My generation having won a massive victory, I, like many Baby Boomers, am convinced that all forms of music were already existent by, say, my 23rd birthday, or are merely trivial extensions or recombinations. Flipping through the radio dial, I never have the feeling “Wow, I’m really old.” Instead, it’s like, “Oh, sure that new style the kids like these days … it’s just a combination of Killing Joke and Seals & Croft, with a little Chic guitar and Curtis Mayfield falsetto. Been there, done that.”

Don’t try to persuade me otherwise with your “facts” and “logic.” I am a Baby Boomer, so my ego is the final authority on all questions involving pop music.

I imagine that this imperturbable complacency among us Baby Boomers that our musical tastes are the be all and end all of youthfulness is discouraging to younger generations, making them feel old before their time. As Camille Paglia would probably say, we Baby Boomers are the vampiric Dorian Grays of culture, siphoning youthfulness from everybody else.

The amusing thing about this is the way that the Boomers actually believe they are more youthful than the people who are two and three generations younger than they are. Guys, you’re old, you’re over it, and you’re going to die soon.

Isn’t it time to grow up and get over yourselves already?

I always find the vast gulf between what the Boomers think later generations think of them and what everyone else actually thinks of them to be hilarious. Which, of course, is why Boomers get so upset on the rare occasion that they stop contemplating their collective navels long enough to find out.

Their “imperturbable complacency” isn’t discouraging in the least. It just makes us look considerably more favorably upon euthanasia than we otherwise might.

This is what happens when you don’t retreat

A journalist is astonished by what he finds by peeking under the rock of #GamerGate:

One of the most stunning experiences I have had so far, while keeping in contact with the community after the publication of my first story on them, has been to discover that GamerGate feminists are real. Despite what a person would assume after being constantly bombarded with the narrative of their misogyny, do-it-yourself feminism is an everyday aspect of the movement. The only condition to that statement is that the feminism which GamerGate represents is the type that becomes offended at the suggestion that women need help to achieve what a man can. It is the type of feminism that believes in promotion by merit, not quota, and where the women are themselves individually powerful enough not to require leadership to assist in determining what they are allowed to think or say.

That goes back to the cumulative character of the people who make up GamerGate. It would have been easy for any of them to eschew the label and enjoy the comfort of being a less persecuted human being. Instead, the character of the average gamer-turned-media-activist tends to be such that they stand directly in the line of fire, knowing that the temptation to disassociate from the movement is the primary means through which a corrupt confederation of clickbait media institutions and Social Justice charlatans intend to dismantle it.

That is how I went native; by becoming convinced that these people represent the highest ethical standard, and through watching them put their personal reputations in harms’ way on principle.

This is why you don’t cry and apologize when attacked. This is why you don’t back down when one vicious name after another is hurled at you. This is why you spit in the ugly face of the SJWs when they offer you the carrot and threaten the stick. This is why you don’t step aside and leave your ally’s flank exposed when they are targeting him and not you.

Because others, less willing to stand in the line of fire, find themselves inspired by your example. Every time you stand there and take a shot without flinching, you cause one, or two, or ten other people to realize that they can do it too. Every time you refuse to submit to the enemy, you make ten, or twenty, or one hundred other people see that defeat is not inevitable.

Don’t back down. Don’t apologize. Don’t disassociate. Don’t despair. Remember, the Reconquista began with a single little battle in northernmost Spain. It took 700 years, but eventually, Spain was once more Christian and free. You’re not given a spirit of fear, so don’t be afraid. We will win in the end.

ISIS drops the gold bomb

The Islamic State has barely been around for a year and already it has a stronger, more stable currency than either the USA or the European Union:

Islamic State is set to become the only ‘state’ to back its currency with gold (silver and copper) as it unveils the new coins that will be used in an attempt to solidify its makeshift caliphate. ISIS says the new currency will take the group  out of “the oppressors’ money system.” As Zaid Benjamin notes, ISIS releases details of its new currancy with golden 1 & 5 dinar, silver 1, 5, 10 dirham and copper 10 & 20 fils

They don’t permit usury and they back their currency with gold. In the long term, Osama bin Laden may have been right about who was the strong horse and who was not. The fact that an ideologically weakened, demographically dying West, which is no longer Christian nor ethnically homogenous, nor nationalistic, still has a technological edge, is not likely to make the difference in the long run.

To paraphrase Tom Kratman: always bring a gun to a gunfight and always bring a religion to a religious war.

This move by ISIS may be particularly effective now that the USA has all but destroyed the international banking system with FATCA and the SWIFT sanctions. Look for Russia and China to follow suit before too long.

SJWs hate science too

One of the most important things to understand about SJWs is that there is no end game for them. They exist to complain; if you submit to their demands and give them what they claim to want, they will promptly produce new and even more ridiculous demands. They are salami-slicers, which is why you cannot give into even the most reasonable-sounding, polite requests for fairness and justice and appeals to your better nature and human decency.

Doing so will only signify your weakness, which will cause them to make every more insane demands in ever-more demanding ways. The only thing that is important to them is their pinkshirt agenda. Consider the SJW response to the historic news that the European Space Agency landed a spacecraft on a comet earlier this week:

I don’t care if you landed a spacecraft on a comet, your shirt is sexist and ostracizing. That’s one small step for man, three steps back for humankind.

Yesterday the European Space Agency landed the Philae spacecraft on a comet, a powerful step forward for humanity and science alike. However, slightly before the big moment, coverage of the event reminded us how much progress remains to be accomplished back on Earth.

A number of the scientists involved on this incredible project were interviewed in the hours leading to contact by Nature Newsteam. One of those Rosetta scientists was Matt Taylor, who chose to dress, for this special occasion, in a bowling shirt covered in scantly clad caricatures of sexy women in provocative poses.

“This is going to be a very long day but a very exciting day,” said Taylor. “I think everyone should enjoy it because we’re making history.”

No one knows why Taylor chose to wear that shirt on television during a massive scientific mission. From what we can tell, a woman who goes by the name of Elly Prizeman on Twitter made the shirt for him, and is just as bewildered as he must be that anyone might be upset about her creation. But none of that actually matters. What matters is the fact that no one at ESA saw fit to stop him from representing the Space community with clothing that demeans 50 percent of the world’s population. No one asked him to take it off, because presumably they didn’t think about it. It wasn’t worth worrying about.

This is the sort of casual misogyny that stops women from entering certain scientific fields. They see a guy like that on TV and they don’t feel welcome. They see a poster of greased up women in a colleague’s office and they know they aren’t respected. They hear comments about “bitches” while out at a bar with fellow science students, and they decide to change majors. And those are the women who actually make it that far. Those are the few who persevered even when they were discouraged from pursuing degrees in physics, chemistry, and math throughout high school. These are the women who forged on despite the fact that they were told by elementary school classmates and the media at large that girls who like science are nerdy and unattractive. This is the climate women who dream of working at NASA or the ESA come up against, every single day.

That is the mentality that we’re dealing with in #GamerGate. What is significant about #GamerGate is that it represents the first time that a male-dominated community has stood up and collectively said: FUCK OFF to the SJWs utilizing their conventional entryist tactics. The hardcore gamers of #GamerGate would rather be attacked and publicly portrayed as evil, outdated, sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, death threat-issuing, blood-drinking, serial-killing rapists than give another inch to the SJWs attempting to infiltrate and destroy the game industry.

And that’s why you should support #GamerGate even if you don’t play games. That’s why you should learn from #GamerGate’s staunch refusal to back down, its tactics, and its willingness to go on the relentless offensive against the pinkshirts.

They are the incarnation of Dickson’s fictional Chantry Guild. They will cast aside everything, games, books, tradition, religion, science, Western civilization itself, without hesitation, because they simply do not understand the intrinsic relationship between cause and effect.

Fumigating the Firefox, redux

I’m reposting this since Mozilla’s decision to place ads in Firefox has even more people moving to Pale Moon. Fortunately, it is trivially simple to turn this off and cause the browser to correctly report itself as PaleMoon.

    Create a new tab.
Type “about:config” into the Address Bar as if it were an internet site (URL).
Type “compatMode” into the Search box that will appear right below the Address Bar.
On the line general.useragent.compatMode.firefox there are three settings: user set, boolean, true. Click on “true” and it will change to false.
    Close the tab.

That’s it. Web sites will no longer incorrectly attribute your pageviews to Firefox. This is important, because Firefox’s only real value is in its brand, and as the number of reported Firefox users continues to fall, Google’s rationale for propping up Mozilla is reduced as well.

A note about the new release

We just sent out a second New Release newsletter to our subscribers, and I expect that some of you may be a little surprised at the fact that this particular new release is a somewhat more expensive than our usual pricing model would indicate. Please note that this does NOT indicate a new pricing policy on our part, it is merely the consequence of a contractual obligation on our part that stems from the book’s rather complicated origins.

The book is still considerably less expensive than new ebook releases from the mainstream publishers, at 475 pages it is a good value, and there are two new selections included in the five from which the New Release subscribers can choose their free book: The Four Generations of Modern War by William S. Lind and The Altar of Hate by Vox Day.

In other, not entirely unrelated news, people are beginning to wrap up their long march through William S. Lind’s ON WAR and post reviews on Amazon. Here are three that might inspire you to take a closer look if you haven’t already:

You can’t say you weren’t warned.
A long but great work. This book should be required reading at West Point.

Highly recommended
Highly recommended, even for those not directly interested in military strategy. Mr. Lind’s framework has wide ranging applications for politics, economics, and the future of our nation. Consider it in the same league as Nassim Taleb’s “Antifragile” (and indeed, there are many overlaps).

I urgently and gravely, recommend this book for any officer of the United States Armed Forces
In March of 2003, I was in a unique position to watch the anatomy of a folly…. I was a career Marine at the time and I knew we were making several mistakes. I knew we didn’t have enough boots on the ground for a successful occupation, in truth we didn’t have enough boots in the entire military. In 1945 we has better than 11% of the population in uniform and under arms and we were trying to get the Germans and The Japanese to self organize. In 2003, less than one half of one percent of our population was in uniform, we had huge global commitments and we were trying to get Arabs to self organize. The occupation plans seemed to be little more than a few platitudes from a Washington DC that was playing at war.

It felt as if we were trapped by a fever dream. That we could bring democracy to an extremely low trust culture on the points of our bayonets. Overthrow thousands of years of tribal tradition with little more than a few speeches. And for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out why were trying to do it.

William S. Lind had a very good idea as to why were doing it.

This book contains collected columns of William S. Lind through that six year trip to hell known as Operation Iraqi Freedom. Much of this this reads like the works of a modern Nostradamus. Resented by many senior officers at the time as an ardent defeatist, Lind’s predictions were beyond prescient. From the rise of AQI, to the collapse of the Iraqi government’s control over it’s own territory. Linds 20/20 foresight makes him a modern Cassandra.

There is a reason Cassandra wasn’t popular

The new book’s official release date will be on Monday, when it will also be made available on Amazon.

Mozilla slashes its own throat

If you haven’t migrated to Pale Moon yet, you’re going to want to do so soon:

The Firefox browser, lagging its well-heeled rivals, will soon be serving up an array of ads to one and all. Mozilla, the nonprofit group that develops and updates the popular Internet browser, said Thursday that it will begin placing ads where thumbnails of your frequently visited websites would normally be found when you open a new tab. While many of those thumbnails, which Firefox calls “Enhanced Tiles,” will remain as quick links to your favorite sites, some will feature sponsored logos or other promoted images.

The decision comes after a year-long experiment testing the receptivity of the ads among a small group of users.

The ads are a way for Mountain View, Calif.-based Mozilla to stay relevant at a time when more people are making use of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Google’s Chrome when browsing the Web. Mozilla hopes the sponsored tiles will help influence powerful advertising groups while not compromising its nonprofit values. The ads also represent a potential new revenue stream for Mozilla, which gets most of its funding from Google through a deal in which it is the default search engine.

“We see this as a meaningful contributor to Mozilla’s revenue,” Darren Herman, vice president of content services for Mozilla and the man behind the tile ads, said in an interview. “We’re using ourselves to demonstrate that it’s possible to advertise at a scale nobody else can.”

The initiative comes as Firefox continues to lose ground to its
rivals. According to Net Applications, which measures individual users’
daily Internet activity, IE is the top PC browser, with a 58 percent
share, followed by Chrome at 21 percent and Firefox at 14 percent. Mozilla
plans to ramp up the ads over time, but even once that’s in full swing,
Herman said Mozilla will tread carefully with how it places those ads…. Among the first ads shown will be anti-tobacco messages and promotions for the new Edward Snowden biopic, “Citizenfour.”

Once you go full SJW, there is no going back. It’s not going to be long before Firefox is below 10 percent. And once that happens, they may as well shut it down.

Of SJWs and echo chambers

I have to admit, I’m a little surprised. Only #423 on the Level 2 SJW blocklist? How can this be? DON’T THEY KNOW WHO I AM?

Who will be added to the block list? The short answer is anyone that a blocker defines as block list worthy. The general rule is if you are the type that would find yourself banned on a blog on Freethoughtblogs.com, Skepchick.org or from the A+ forum then you will likely end up in the list…

And as I’ve noted, they operate solely at the rhetorical level. Their assertions and posturing are almost entirely devoid of any meaning beyond “me good, them bad”.

John Scalzi‏@scalzi
Oh, the transcendent irony of being accused by a GamerGater of living in an echo chamber.

John Scalzi‏@scalzi
Happy to say my Twitter feeds are full of brilliant, clever people, and that’s only partially because I mute the stupid, annoying jerks.

Apparently John “I am a rapist” Scalzi not only doesn’t know what satire is, he doesn’t know what irony is either. Keep this typical SJW behavior in mind when they begin with their entryist tactics and start babbling about the importance of inclusivity, diversity, discourse and dialogue. Words don’t have any objective meaning to them, they merely mean whatever the SJW needs it to mean in order to achieve whatever goal he is pursuing.

It will do you no good to point out to the likes of Scalzi that he observably lives in an echo chamber of his active making. “Echo chamber” is merely a bad word, and being a bad word, therefore cannot be applied to the SJW and must be applied to his bad opponent, regardless of what it actually means. If you agree with them, you are by definition “brilliant and clever”, and if you disagree with them, or even worse, criticize them, you are intrinsically “stupid, annoying jerks”.

This is why they don’t dare to compete in any venue that is not “heads I win, tails you lose.”  And this is how they can attack a libertarian as being a “fascist’ or a black man for being a “white supremacist” without even a hint of intellectual embarrassment. Because, for them, neither words nor truth have any genuine meaning.

3GW at sea?

The US military may be beginning to learn the hard way that high-tech warfare is powerful, but fragile:

On 10 April 2014, the USS Donald Cook entered the waters of the Black Sea and on 12 April a Russian Su-24 tactical bomber flew over the vessel triggering an incident that,
according to several media reports, completely demoralized its crew, so
much so that the Pentagon issued a protest.

The USS Donald Cook (DDG-75) is a 4th generation guided missile destroyer whose key weapons are Tomahawk cruise missiles with a range of up to 2,500 kilometers, and capable of carrying nuclear explosives. This ship carries 56 Tomahawk missiles in standard mode, and 96 missiles in attack mode.

The US destroyer is equipped with the most recent Aegis Combat System.
It is an integrated naval weapons systems which can link together the
missile defense systems of all vessels embedded within the same network,
so as to ensure the detection, tracking and destruction of hundreds of
targets at the same time. In addition, the USS Donald Cook is
equipped with 4 large radars, whose power is comparable to that of
several stations. For protection, it carries more than fifty
anti-aircraft missiles of various types.

Meanwhile, the Russian Su-24 that buzzed the USS Donald Cook carried neither bombs nor missiles but only a basket mounted under the fuselage, which, according to the Russian newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta, contained a Russian electronic warfare device called Khibiny.

As the Russian jet approached the US vessel, the electronic device
disabled all radars, control circuits, systems, information
transmission, etc. on board the US destroyer. In other words, the
all-powerful Aegis system, now hooked up – or about to be – with
the defense systems installed on NATO’s most modern ships was shut down,
as turning off the TV set with the remote control.

The Russian Su-24 then simulated a missile attack against the USS Donald Cook,
which was left literally deaf and blind. As if carrying out a training
exercise, the Russian aircraft – unarmed – repeated the same maneuver 12
times before flying away.

After that, the 4th generation destroyer immediately set sail towards a port in Romania. Since that incident, which the Atlanticist media have carefully
covered up despite the widespread reactions sparked among defense
industry experts, no US ship has ever approached Russian territorial
waters again.  According to some specialized media, 27 sailors from the USS Donald Cook requested to be relieved from active service.

This has been going around, but while the SU-24 is confirmed to have successfully buzzed the destroyer, some of the details are being disputed.

In truth the Russian fighter did fly 12 times provocatively close to the US destroyer, and Col. Warren did report the incident to Reuters. However, this is where the truth ends.

In reality Warren told the following to the agency: “This provocative and unprofessional Russian action is inconsistent with international protocols and previous agreements on the professional interaction between our militaries.”

The plane appeared to be unarmed, according to Warren. The pilot did not respond to multiple queries from the Cook. Warren also added that another Russian fighter was also flying in the area, but not as close to the ship as the other one.

Warren said the vessel was not in any serious danger. The Pentagon website cited the Colonel’s words: “The Donald Cook is more than capable of defending herself against two SU-24s.

I think that the only way we can know the truth is by observing if US Navy ships continue to enter the Black Sea or not. One thing American readers may not know is that Russian warplanes have tested NATO air defenses more than 40 times in the last nine months. So it’s far from implausible that they are sending a similar “back off” message to the US naval forces as well in light of the Obama administration’s foolish, if not downright insane, decision to interfere in Ukraine.

However, the specific details appear to be closer to a Tom Clancy novel than anything that happened in 2014. It’s much more likely that 27 pregnant sailors were quietly relieved from active duty than 27 sailors quit from sheer terror of Russian ECW capabilities.
