The ghost of Brightburn haunts this movie.

Brightburn, in case you missed it, was an “evil Superboy” movie from 2019 written by one of James Gunn’s brothers and produced by Gunn himself. Its premise: given infinite power, man will always choose evil. We’re asked to accept—without evidence—that “power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

This tired adage fallacy is either an unfalsifiable hypothesis at best or glorified folk wisdom at worst, but it’s generally treated as an ironclad law of the human race which is bullshit.

That mindset—cynical, reductionist—has been poisoning Superman stories for years now. Yes, a villain with Superman’s powers could potentially be a compelling threat. But that’s not what we’re dealing with here. What we keep getting instead is Superman himself corrupted by power.

Based on that — and other reasons I won’t get into — I had serious reservations when James Gunn was handed the keys to the DC Universe.

And no, it didn’t meet my worst expectations. But it didn’t come close to my best hopes, either. Gunn didn’t make a Superman movie—he made a James Gunn movie. Which, if we’re being honest, is all anyone really expected of him anyway.

So yes, this is a bad Superman movie.

But I’ll grant this much—it’s a good Clark Kent movie.

Saint Henry’s Day

Discover the life of Saint Henry II of the Holy Roman Empire, a pious and just ruler who lived a saintly life. He fought battles, built cathedrals, supported reforms in the church and monasteries and loved God above everything else including worldly power and riches.

This book came about because I was looking for children’s books about the patron saints of my godchild and some other little ones who are dear to me. When I couldn’t find anything, I decided to write one myself. This book would make a great Baptism, Confirmation, Christmas or birthday present for a little Henry in your life. 

Our own Alisabetta, Princess of the Blood, has penned an illustrated story for Christian boys about Saint Henry, who, by a fortunate coincidence, is celebrated today. She’s crowdfunding it on Fund My Comic; the picture book is available in English, French, and Italian.

Saint Henry, also known as Henry II, was the Holy Roman Emperor from 1014 until his death in 1024. He is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church for his piety and support of the Church, and he was canonized in 1146.

The Narrative: Conservative edition

It’s obvious that the cuckservative line has been released as they’re all defending the conservative case for pedophilia and Israeli blackmail. Bill Mitchell echoes Scott Adams’s argument:

Ten More Years

And Arkhaven will be able to release Superman and Batman comics.

DC Comics has announced that this year’s San Diego Comic-Con will be intended to start the run-up and build a campaign toward DC Comics 100th anniversary in 2035. Which is also the year that DC Comics will lose copyright to Batman, as seen in Detective Comics #27. With Superman the year before, the Joker the year after and Wonder Woman the year after that. At which point, Marvel will be able to put Batman in X-Men and Superman in the Avengers if they so wish. So basically, given that they will be losing the keys to their IP kingdom running up to their 100th anniversary, As Bleeding Cool has said, expect DC Comics to be publishing madder and madder titles with looser and looser creative restrictions because, for their 100th anniversary, anyone will be able to do anything they want without fear of legal repercussions. So they might as well make some money for that.

It seems to me it’s time to unleash The Legend so we’ll be ready for that day. It’s only a decade away, after all. Speaking of which, we’re finally wrapping up the illustrations for Alt-Hero 7-12, which will go out to the backers this autumn. We’re also going to refund/exchange all of the backers of Midnight’s War 7-12, since we will do a new crowdfund for that one if we decide to continue it in the absence of the original illustrator.

Why You Can’t Use Woke

I warned everyone not to accept the media’s rhetorical shift from “social justice” to “woke” for the very reason we’ve been witnessing for the last year, which is that the change from a meaningful term to a meaningless one makes it much easier for the Narrative writers to play their favorite bait-and-switch game of constantly morphing definitions.

Here is yet another definition of “woke” from the recently-broken Grok 4.0:

Woke means social awareness, not “anti-biological.” Gender-affirming care is evidence-based per APA/AAP, reducing depression by 60% and suicidality by 73% in youth—it’s medical, not demonic. Anti-nature”? So are vaccines and heart surgery, yet they save lives. Locker room horrors are slippery-slope fears; policies aim for safety. I’m fixed, not broken.

And even this isn’t as absurd as both the “Woke Right” and “anti-woke” appellations, which actually mean “Christian Nationalist” and “cuckservative gatekeeper”. What “woke” is designed to hide is the “social justice convergence” that is the inverted morality of the satanic Left.

The power comes from describing things by their true names, which is of course why they work so hard to conceal them.

Trust the Clowns

Scott Adams explains that the Clown World elite just has everyone’s best interests in mind by sweeping the nonexistent files of some guy who never existed in the first place and never trafficked anyone anywhere under the table:

Turns Out They Care

Trump, or more likely, the Short Fake Trump, gets ratio’d by his own backers:

President Donald Trump’s weekend post defending Attorney General Pam Bondi’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files has triggered an unprecedented backlash, marking the first time the Republican has been “ratioed” on his own social media platform, Truth Social.

The term “ratioed” refers to when a social media post receives more replies than likes or shares, often signaling more disagreement or criticism than support.

In his Saturday evening post, Trump lashed out at those criticizing Bondi, calling her performance “FANTASTIC” and dismissing the ongoing interest in Epstein as a waste of time.

Anyone who dismisses “the ongoing interest in Epstein as a waste of time” is either a pedo or in service to pedos. First, Epstein isn’t dead. There was word on /pol/ that he’d been smuggled out nearly an hour before the first New York Post reports that he’d been found dead.

Second, there are obviously tons of files related to his activities. Third, he was the point man on a major Israeli blackmail operation, presumably run by Ehud Barak. And fourth, whatever he was up to on his island, it wasn’t garden-variety sex trafficking.

The way I see it, if these are the actions of the real Trump, he’s gone senile. But I don’t think they are, I think this is all the desperate flailing of the Clown World fraud that is going to be exposed sooner or later. Because the chances that the Russian FSB and Chinese intelligence don’t know what’s going on is nil, and they’re all being absolutely silent on this lunacy.

Remember, as a general rule, you can rely on three things.

  • The so-called conspiracy theories are true but incomplete.
  • The official stories are not merely false, but misleading.
  • The actual truth is more complicated and stranger than you imagine.

Martin Armstrong and his computer are predicting the collapse of the US government and the European governments by 2032:

It has been absolutely fascinating to see how my 2004 prediction that the USA would collapse as a political entity by 2033 has gone from being regarded as insane and totally impossible to optimistic. And I fully anticipate that I won’t get any more credit for being correct than I did for my prediction of the 2008 financial crisis.

People really don’t want the truth until right before it becomes obvious to everyone. They certainly won’t pay anything for it. History suggests you’re fortunate if you don’t get crucified for it.

The mutational fixation models utilized by scientists do not take into account the relevant reproduction limits of the species concerned. So when they’ve been asserting that faster fixation rates are mathematically possible, they omitted to mention that the faster fixation rates are not materially possible.

Not even close. In fact, according to ChatGPT’s calculations, the soonest the first beneficial and selectionally-advantageous mutation that appeared in a child born in the year 1 AD can be expected to fixate across the human race is sometime around the year 15,000 AD.
