An article on PJ media about a distressed young liberal woman who keeps finding out that the men to whom she is attracted turn out to be Trump voters.
No woman wants a man she can push around, walk all over, or beat in an arm-wrestling match. Politics be damned. That’s not how biology works. (Now, I realize I may be talking to biology deniers, but you asked “why can’t I stop?” and this is why. Biology.) Women are naturally attracted to alpha males and not that gamma guy in a onesie with fragile wrists. The left has emasculated their men to the point of putting them in dresses and sending them into the ladies’ room. It’s no wonder you need to shop outside your herd. Why the heck wouldn’t you?
The reality you’re facing is that your guys are the ones getting a wedgie and ours are the ones you want to go home with. I don’t blame you.
People often think that influence is somehow related to everyone knowing your name. That’s not influence. That’s fame.
On a related note, I’ve been hearing for the last week or two that the various kerfluffles with the two Andrews, Anglin and Torba, are “bad PR” and bad for my brand.
The objective measures:
Twitter followers declined from 33,000 to 32,800
Five Infogalactic Burn Unit members canceled their subscriptions. All five have already been replaced.
Daily average site traffic increased 5 percent
Daily average book sales increased 225 percent
7 8 new Legal Legion of Evil volunteers.
It would appear there is a sound basis for the Fake Right theory that Mike Cernovich became a successful shekel-grubbing book salesman on the basis of metaphorically punching Clown Nazis. That wasn’t my intention, but if this is what “destroying my brand” looks like, I think I can live with it. Although perhaps the more apt term would be “thrive” on it.
By the way, there is going to be a BIG surprise awaiting the self-appointed experts on defamation presently expressing their legal theories on Gab. I have to admit, I was genuinely shocked myself to discover what is actually considered defamation per se in the relevant jurisdiction. I mean, there is not a single non-lawyer, on either side of the issue, who had a clear grasp of the actual legal situation at hand.
This is an open thread to discuss the incoming hurricane and the preparations for it. And nothing else, please. Spare a thought or two for the people who are being forced to evacuate their homes.
I changed my mind. This response to the Anglin debate was my favorite.
Kek Vult Man who is this Anglin dude? He’s sounds like a real gentleman and hes got a handsome voice. I really wanna check out his website!
Kek Vult Man who is this Anglin dude? He’s sounds like a real gentleman and hes got a handsome voice. I really wanna check out his website!
It’s even more convincing when you post it twice, apparently. Alt-Retard may be giving these Stormpuppets too much credit. I’ve been hitherto fortunate in my near complete ignorance of them, but now that I’ve been made a little more familiar with the best that they have to offer, all I can conclude is that if the fate of the West depends upon them, we should all start learning Arabic and Chinese.
So, that was slightly less of a clown show than I expected. Although it was the first debate I’ve seen that the moderator lost. One thing I thought was interesting was the way Anglin did not reveal his Google pageviews. Based on the difference between his pre-prepared statement and his ability to argue from it, I would guess that several people were involved in writing it.
He provided a few informative statements. I don’t recall them all, but I did note these:
“Nobody cares about the historical context of left and right.”
“Everything that Hitler did served to support the order of nature.”
“Liberalism was invented by Jews.”
“I have never commented on your blog.”
“Everywhere I look, behind every problem I have, I see hook nosed jews.”
In my opinion, the actual debate ended here:
AA: Understanding Right wing is preservation of the natural order through tradition. Left wing is the push for equality to override the natural order. VD: NSADAP Munich Manifesto, Point 9. All citizens must possess equal rights and duties.
While the meta-debate ended here:
AA: Don’t be Vox Day, Don’t attack people on the same side as you. VD: We’re not on the same side.
My favorite take: “It’s just bad PR for Vox Day, even if his rant was correct and Hitler was left wing, that has literally nothing to do with Andrew Anglin.”
J. Lamplighter Wright recalls Jerry Pournelle’s last public performance at Dragoncon, where he gave out the Dragon Award for Best Science Fiction novel.
What Mr Pournelle did not tell you is that when he went up to hand out the award, he got a standing ovation. Everyone stood up…even Larry Niven. It wasn’t a big crowd, but it was a wonderful moment. I also noticed that, unlike everyone else who seemed to be reading the names, I could have sworn that Pournelle had his list memorized. He recited them smoothly while looking out at the audience.
I’m so pleased to hear that he was publicly celebrated to the very end, as he deserved. My favorite memory of Mr. Pournelle was talking to him after the publication of Riding the Red Horse. At almost the last possible moment, he had agreed to let me use “His Truth Goes Marching On”, a story which had appeared in the first volume of There Will Be War, which Riding the Red Horse was consciously designed to imitate. I thought that would be a fitting symbol of the torch being passed from the one series to the next, since I had been unable to obtain the rights to the original anthology series.
Then, at absolutely the last possible moment, I happened to see an article written by him in an old issue of The General, which combined strategy, wargames, and game design. Excited to have discovered it, I shot him an email asking him for permission to republish it, which right he graciously granted. This is the introduction I wrote for it.
Editor’s Introduction to:
SIMULATING THE ART OF WAR
by Jerry Pournelle
Science fiction’s gain was the game industry’s loss.
There are few, very few, readers of this anthology who do not know of Jerry Pournelle, the science fiction writer. Nearly everyone has heard of the author of Jannissaries and The Mote in God’s Eye, the editor of many anthologies, the techno-savvy Byte columnist, the SFWA president, the Lord of Chaos Manor, even the aphorist who coined the Iron Law of Bureaucracy. In any bureaucracy, the people devoted to the benefit of the bureaucracy itself always get in control and those dedicated to the goals the bureaucracy is supposed to accomplish have less and less influence, and sometimes are eliminated entirely.
But there are not very many who know of J.E. Pournelle, Ph.D., wargamer, and particular fan of the classic Avalon Hill game Afrika Korps. In the early 1970s, Jerry was also an occasional contributor to the Avalon Hill house magazine, The General, in which he introduced new rules for Waterloo, conceived an clever device for counter concealment that anticipated Fifth Frontier War‘s Fleet rules by a decade, and penned an astute article explaining how to draw upon the timeless Principles of War for the purposes of designing better wargames.
Alas, it is a lesson that few designers in the industry have taken to heart. These little-known facts may be reasonably cited as evidence that Dr. Pangloss was wrong, and we do not, in fact, live in the best of all possible worlds. After all, we narrowly missed living in a world where J.E. Pournelle designed Halo: Combat Evolved!
But the best part was yet to come. Not long after the publication of Riding the Red Horse, Jerry called me up and said, “You know, maybe it would be a good idea to revive There Will Be War. Would you have any interest in bringing that back into print?”
I did my best to remain calm, refrained from mentioning that obtaining the rights to publish There Will Be War had always been my original desire, and informed him that we would be extremely pleased to do so. I am very sorry that we were unable to get the last two original volumes, Vols VII and VIII, out before his death, but they will be released later this month, and at least Jerry was able to see his flagship anthology fully revived with Volume X last year. As I said before, working with him was both an honor and a privilege.
Please feel free to post your remembrances of Dr. Pournelle and his work here. Beginning tomorrow, Castalia House will honor Jerry Pournelle by making the first volume in his classic military science fiction anthology, There Will Be War Vol. Ia free download on Amazon for three days. Also, Chaos Manor has set up a Well-Wishing Page in case you wish to offer the Pournelle family your condolences.
Utsav Sanduja@u If only it were a phone call or two…or an e-mail or a two.
My friend, you have no idea what you’re talking about.
You just don’t.
Vox Day@voxday He doesn’t, but he will. I will post all of our recent emails back and forth on my blog tomorrow.
My objective was not to embarass anyone, nor is the content of the emails even remotely embarrassing to anyone, but merely to demonstrate that Utsav was lying and attempting to create a false narrative about my behavior. It really was just a phone call or two and an email or four, as you will see.
9/6/2017 21:36: Andrew emails me and asks me to talk to Utsav. He provides me with the number. 9/6/2017 21:58: Utsav emails me to request a call. 9/7/2017 08:44: I email Utsav to tell him that I rang but he did not pick up. 9/7/2017 08:54: Utsav emails me to tell me to call him in 15 minutes. 9/7/2017 10:09: I call Utsav. We talk for 16 minutes and 31 seconds. It’s a good, positive call. 9/7/2017 10:47: I email Utsav to thank him for taking the time to deal with this. 9/7/2017 11:07: Utsav emails me to direct my attention to this statement by Andrew. 9/7/2017 11:49: I email Utsav to ask what the policy on prospective libel and defamation will be. 9/7/2017 13:07: Utsav emails me to tell me it’s being reviewed. 9/7/2017 20:38: I email Utsav with my suggestions for how Gab could handle defamation complaints.
And that’s it. That’s the crazy, desperate narrative at which Utsav was darkly hinting. Most of the emails were little more than sentence or two. And if you would like to know what my suggestions were, they were not particularly ambitious or draconian.
Clearly state that libel and defamation are not free speech in the guidelines.
Establish a Legal Review Board to which libel-related complaints sent to support can be reviewed.
If the Legal Review Board concludes that a post about which a complaint has been submitted is probable libel per current US legal standards, the account is given one strike, and the account holder is informed that his user details will be divulged to the target upon request by that user.
Three strikes and the account is deleted and the account holder permanently banned. Each libelous post is counted separately, but multiple libels in a single post would only be counted once.
I felt this process would minimize legal disruptions to Gab, protect the Gab community from libel and defamation, provide any member of the community subjected to genuine libel a means of seeking legal redress without having to pay for the privilege of finding out who their attacker is, and remove any incentive for troublemakers to engage in libelous or defamatory behavior.
I’m not concerned about myself. As Supreme Dark Lord, I have the benefit of the Legal Legion of Evil, which I can assure Andrew Torba, despite his doubts, does exist. The various defamations that are presently published on Gab will be removed, one way or another. But there are others who are already coming forward who simply do not have such easy acccess the legal process that is presently required of them.
I felt that establishing a Legal Review Board would be a reasonable way of dealing with the obvious problem. Of course, I also feel that it is right to remove libelous and defamatory posts, even without waiting for a request from the target of the defamation. I do it here almost every day, usually without a request, because failing to do so renders the comments a wasteland of trolls, spammers, and people who derive some sense of spiritual satisfaction from rolling in filth.
Obviously, the management of Gab feels differently. Which is their right, but is also why the site will increasingly become a wasteland of trolls, slanderers, and people who derive some sense of spiritual satisfaction from rolling in filth. Since Gab did not take a reasonable stance at the start, their problem is only going to metastasize. I’m not surprised by any of this, in fact, I warned him in November that if he did not come up with a reasonable moderation policy, the site would eventually spin out of his control.
If people cannot get redress from Gab, they will seek it elsewhere. Andrew and Utsav really have no right to complain about how people do so when they are giving them no other choice. And yet, they are.
JeremiahEmbs · @JeremiahEmbs So what’s the excuse for @FashDaddey calling me a child rapist? Is @a @u @support going to address this?Or are they going to pretend defamation is the same thing as free speech&make this site completely unusable for good people such as myself who will abandon this platform since it is not moderated.
JeremiahEmbs · @JeremiahEmbs @a @u @support What are you going to do Torba? Asia Registry is being informed you are no longer immune under section 230 of the Communications Decency Act as the site appears to be designed for defamation as there is no recourse for those abused by it.
Andrew Torba@a If our registrar requires us to remove something again we will publish it here and let everyone know that you whined to them because someone hurt your feelings with mean words on the internet.
As I said in last night’s Darkstream, Andrew Torba is simply not ready for prime time. I have advised him for nearly a year, I think he is a talented young man, and I genuinely like him, but he has repeatedly demonstrated that he is still too emotionally fragile for any high-stress position that brings him into contact with the public. And furthermore, I would immediately fire any customer support representative who ever responded to one of my customers that way.
Micus Expectorus@expectorant Who the hell posts on a public forum criticizing an ally because he thought he got a phone call or two and didn’t want to pick up?
Look, we get you’re trying to be the lion for @a, but you’re coming across as a passive-aggressive weenie. You should grow up too.

I received this email a few moments ago from one of Jerry Pournelle’s associates:
Jerry Pournelle passed away this morning in his sleep.
Working with Jerry was one of the great honors, and great privileges, of my life. He was a brilliant man, a generous man, and an extraordinarily thoughtful man too. His THERE WILL BE WAR series was a major influence on my intellectual development, and I will always be grateful that I had the opportunity to work with one of my earliest writing heroes.
Just two days ago, he sent me his summary of Dragoncon, his final SF convention.
I was asked to give the Best Novel award, which I did and all went well. A few fans warned me there might be trouble, but not a thing, although not a very big crowd; I probably had more attending when Larry and I spoke alone in a big Q&A. Wasn’t there some kind of campaign going on, or was I misinformed? All was peaceful; not to say dull.

Although I never met him in the flesh, I will miss him. Castalia House, science fiction, and the world are all lessened by his passing.

A few choice quotes from topics elsewhere in this forum.
@Cornfed said in PSA: This Battle With Vox Gay Will Not End Anytime Soon:
There is no battle. Vox is a joke – the end.
@Ghett-O-Tarzan said in PSA: This Battle With Vox Gay Will Not End Anytime Soon:
I warned you guys months ago that Vox was trying to redefine the altright to suit him. All you big brained nibbas couldn’t see it and dismissed by warnings. I’m not worried though. Vox’s attempt to launch a coup will fail just as badly as gamergate did. Vox acts a lot like a Jew. And like most Jews he always overplays his hand and overestimates his own intelligence.
And so on and so forth. I’m here to tell you all, that despite the hilarious meltdown Vox Day is experiencing right now, you all are making that fatal mistake.
Never underestimate your enemy. And yes, as of now, Vox Day, someone I previously defended and had a lot of respect for, has proven himself to be my enemy. All he had to do was walk away. I’m pretty sure that even Milo didn’t give a fuck about Anglin or what happened. Milo’s book is still gonna be a bestseller with normies, alt-lite, and other plebs.
But what you all are missing is that this isn’t Cernovich 2.0. Vox has been victorious for almost his entire career. He didn’t win so much by being stupid.
If there’s anyone who can successfully bring a coup to the Alt-right, it would be Vox. I don’t say this to hype him up, I say this as someone who actually perceives a potential threat and wants you all to act serious and be ready to fight.
The War Against Vox Day will be a harder war than we’ve ever fought against SJWs and shitlibs. Vox is neither, which automatically makes him leagues above their level. We need to ensure that we have not grown soft in our victories against the cucks of National Review and the faggots of other leftoid rags.
Considering that they fought a war against Milo and Milo didn’t notice, I can’t say that I’m overly concerned. Besides, they have already failed Sun Tzu 101; they don’t know their enemy. Their war is not against me, but rather, the entire Evil Legion of Evil. I am merely a humble Dark Lord who happens to command the Legion with a magnanimous fist of iron.
I am a little curious about how I am supposed to have “overplayed my hand”, though. So far, I have a) challenged Andrew Anglin to the debate he and his followers were requesting, and b) actually, that’s pretty much it to date.
It’s true that I am not going to destroy /pol/. First, because I am not stupid. The Evil Legion of Evil is formidable, but even as its Supreme Dark Lord, I know our limits. Of all the fights I could pick, /pol/ would rank somewhere between the U.S. Marine Corps and the Archangel Michael’s Heavenly host. Second, because, as has been mentioned, I love /pol/.
Third, because I am not seeking to harm Gab, I am merely seeking the identities of the Gab users who have publicly defamed me and subjected my wife to targeted harassment, and to ensure that both the defamation and the targeted harassment is permanently removed from Gab. Gab has elected to act as an obstacle to those objectives, as is its right, and that obstacle will be removed.
And fourth, why would I do that? I have literally no reason whatsoever to quarrel or quibble with /pol/.

he’s been blogging since 2003. Not a lot of younger people know him. He’s a decent-ish fantasy writer, really good editor, excellent political and philosophical thinker.

Stop your low level disinfo, shill.
What he does say is that you nazi larpers are fake right. That nazism isn’t right wing and has no ideological place on the right. And that the people who cling the the nazi aesthetic are worse than useless. Anonymous ID:4wxEMCF/ Thu 07 Sep 2017 15:03:12 No.140624154 Vox is so arrogant. Anonymous ID:27WWAXKr Thu 07 Sep 2017 15:15:09 No.140624949 Vox is arrogant. If you think nazism is anyting other than a left wing ideology you are ignorant of history. If you hear spencer talk about pan-european government and being pro-eu and think he is right-wing, you are low iq.
No, he doesn’t talk about jews 100{dd3d589bd2c0f195b76ec1c32e7d55e03f6d27d61e2a6be2a684140499ab1b4f} of the time, deal with it. His opinion is that some of the people against the west are jews, some are not. focusing on one group and not the threat as a whole is ignorant.
>Why do people like this guy again?
Because he contributes a lot to alt-right thought, genuinely cares about its success, has no desire for leadership, has no desire for fame, wants to educate people, knows his shit.
I mean, after his initial point that nazism has no place in the right, contemporary or historical, greg johnson literally gave up. Seriously, gave up 10 minutes into a debate and refused to stay on topic. What do you think yellow fever anglin is going to do?

But it is informative, is it not, that the Daily Stormpoopers feel the need to cast about for allies now that the Legal Legion has been activated? Of course, they cannot be trusted, ever, since deceit is literally the core of their instruction manual. Lying, exaggerating their influence, and shitting on the carpet of every online abode that welcomes them is the full extent of their accomplishments.
Anyhow, in the event one ever finds oneself in a dispute with /pol/, this is the only correct response.
UPDATE: As per their style manual recommending deceit, the Daily Stormpoopers are citing this post as evidence that I am trying to drag /pol/ into it. Which, of course, is the precise opposite of what actually happened. And anyhow, the Legal Legion of Evil have this one under control.
