The irrelevance of science education

Richard Dawkins fiddles while Britain slumps into a morass of ignorance:

Britons are losing their grip on reality, according to a poll out Monday which showed that nearly a quarter think Winston Churchill was a myth while the majority reckon Sherlock Holmes was real. The survey found that 47 percent thought the 12th century English king Richard the Lionheart was a myth.

But at least they believe in evolution! It doesn’t matter what hoi polloi believes anymore, advanced technology notwithstanding, they’re on the fast track to pagan primitivism. I caught the end of “Idiocracy” the other day, it was far more credible than pretty much every optimistic science fiction utopia ever created.

In another 100 years, there will probably be monuments to Ali Hari Potter, the great archmagus of historical Al-Albion.
