Secretary of State Colin Powell and three other Cabinet members have resigned, escalating the shake-up of President Bush’s second-term team.
I’m not saying that I’m now expecting a new era of peace, sanity and a grim determination to do whatever needs to be done, but getting rid of the most overrated Secretary of State in the long, ignoble history of useless bureaucracy is never a bad thing.
