It should be interesting to see the inevitable outrage from the Hollywood crowd:

Blacks just noticed that CNN is insufficiently vibrant.

The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) called out CNN and its president, Jeff Zucker, in a press release, blasting the company for what it says is a lack of diversity in its top leadership. NABJ also said that it was placing the company on a special media monitoring list so the matter could be studied further.

“The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) is concerned about the lack of black representation within the ranks of CNN’s executive news managers and direct reports to CNN President Jeff Zucker,” the organization said in a press release on Tuesday. “This concern, coupled with Zucker’s refusal to meet with a four-person NABJ delegation, has prompted NABJ to place CNN on a special media monitoring list.”

“CNN President Jeff Zucker has no black direct reports. There are no black Executive Producers at CNN. There are no black Vice Presidents on the news side at CNN. There are no black Senior Vice Presidents on the news side at CNN,” the release continued.  “NABJ is also calling for a civil rights audit that examines the company’s hiring, promotion and compensation practices involving black employees.”

Apply the disparate impact test. If it’s good enough for firefighters, it’s good enough for the media. Then require every media company to employ the same percentage of blacks who appear in their advertisements.

To be honest, I don’t feel the least bit of sympathy for the upscale white citizens of Buckhead, Georgia. Outside of Silicon Valley, it would be hard to find a more self-satisfied group of anti-racist virtue signalers anywhere in the United States:

Black crime in Atlanta is protected by the black-run government of Atlanta, who allow black criminals to prey upon the upscale white citizens of Buckhead.

Law and order is dead in America, and in Buckhead, black criminals are allowed to engage in criminality against white citizens because the Atlanta Police Department no longer prioritizes keeping their commercial or private property safe.

A glimpse of the future for all of white Americans once they capitulate power to black elected officials.

I don’t see what they’re complaining about. The most important thing is that no one can call them racists, and what is the cost of a little theft, burglary, and armed robbery in comparison with such an undeniably unmitigated benefit? After all, crime in the historically low-crime district is now only 31.6 percent higher than in downtown Atlanta.

The future for the United States of Diversity is looking more vibrant than ever!

It is regrettable that Jonah Goldberg refuses to embrace truth where it conflicts with his identity politics, because he’s still quite good when he’s able to be honest with himself. In a recent G-File, he observes an obvious implication of the frequency of hoax crimes in the United States:

Here’s something you might not know: In Nazi Germany, very few Jews staged bogus hate crimes against themselves.

Here’s some more trivia: Very few blacks in the Jim Crow South went to great lengths to pretend that they were harassed or attacked by racists.

You know why? Because that would be incredibly stupid. What, exactly, would the German Jew who staged an assault on himself gain from it? Where would he or she go to ask for sympathy or recompense? Conjure any horror story you like, the Nazi official you brought it to would say, “Yeah, and . . . ?” The black sharecropper who took the time to make his own cross and burn it on his own property would benefit . . . how?

Why am I bringing this up? Well, for a bunch of reasons. I have more points to make than can be found at an English Setter competition.

First, people who live under real oppression have no need to fabulate oppression. To paraphrase Madge from the old Palmolive ads: They’re already soaking in it.

Second, when you live in an oppressive country, there’s no one you can take your grievances to because that is what it means to live in an oppressive country! For God’s sake, people, you’re making me use exclamation points and italics here. If you’re an inmate in the Shawshank prison, you can’t go to the guards to complain. When you live in North Korea, you can’t go to the local police and gripe about your working conditions or the sawdust in your bread.

Jonah is correct. The very need to fake these crimes in the first place is evidence that the problem they supposedly highlight does not actually exist. But unfortunately, he couldn’t actually finish the piece without meandering into anti-Americanism:

There will be a hoax involving MAGA hats, but the fake victims will be those wearing them. We already saw the hunger for this kind of thing in the Covington case — but those kids were in fact victims. President Trump invited that kid named Trump to the State of the Union precisely because he wanted to exploit this great reservoir of pity. And the coverage of this legitimate outrage will no doubt encourage others to get a piece of that on the cheap.

As I said, regrettable. But identity almost always wins out in the end. The great irony of those who make a virtue of decrying identity politics is that they are observably some of the most relentless practitioners of identity politics around.

I don’t care about what was an obvious hate crime hoax all along, but apparently a lot of people do. So, discuss amongst yourselves:

“Empire” actor Jussie Smollett has now been charged with disorderly conduct for filing a false police report, the Cook County States Attorney says.

Disorderly conduct is a Class 4 Felony. CBS 2 Legal Analyst Irv Miller says Smollett could face probation to up to 1.5 years in prison.

He is expected in bond court tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. Detectives will make contact with his legal team to negotiate a reasonable surrender for his arrest, according to a spokesman for the Chicago Police Department.

What’s the over/under on a deeply emotional Hollywood movie about this little incident, complete with a prison montage and a triumphant redemption arc that culminates in Smollet’s character collecting an Oscar, 7 years?

To precisely no one’s surprise, the purported attack by MAGA-chanting white men on an attention-seeking black fame whore has been determined to be a hoax by the police:

On Saturday night, Chicago Police confirmed to PJ Media that the testimonies of two black men arrested in the case of Empire star Jussie Smollett have flipped the story. Rather than considering Smollett the victim of an attack, it appears that police may now see him as the perpetrator of a hoax.

“We can confirm that the information received from the individuals questioned by police earlier in the Empire case has in fact shifted the trajectory of the investigation,” Chicago Police chief communications officer Anthony Guglielmi told PJ Media. “We’ve reached out to the Empire cast member’s [sic] attorney to request a follow-up interview.”

Two law enforcement sources confirmed to CNN that police are considering the Jussie Smollett case a hoax. Police now think the two men they arrested last week — Olabinjo “Ola” Osundairo and his brother Abimbola “Abel” Osundairo — were paid by Smollett to attack him. Chicago Police believe the Empire star orchestrated the assault.

All of these sorts of attacks are always hoaxes. Because in a society that rewards victimhood, the victims manufacture themselves. And in a society dominated by Fake News, the news is reliably false.

UPDATE: The details are now being reported. And now we know the going rate for crisis actors. The imported ones, anyhow.

Jussie Smollett paid two brothers to stage an attack against him, directed them to buy items used in the alleged assault and actually rehearsed it with them, sources say.

Sources say at least one of the brothers bought the rope used in the incident at Smollett’s request. The sources also say the “Empire” actor paid for the rope, which was purchased at the Crafty Beaver Hardware Store in the Ravenswood neighborhood the weekend of Jan. 25.

The brothers, who were questioned by police this week before being released, were paid $3,500 before leaving for Nigeria and were promised an additional $500 upon their return. They left for Nigeria later in the day on Jan. 29, after the attack.

I didn’t even bother to post about this obvious hoax because it was so blatantly obvious. And the Chicago police obviously knew it from the start, they just didn’t want to deal with another stupid riot based on a false narrative:

Chicago police confirmed Thursday that detectives are talking to two persons of interest in connection with the alleged attack on “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett. Multiple sources have told ABC7 Eyewitness News that police are investigating whether Smollett and the two men staged the attack allegedly because Smollett was being written off of “Empire.”

A source familiar with the investigation told the ABC7 I-Team that Smollett failed to appear for an interview with detectives earlier Thursday.

Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson contacted ABC7 to say they are continuing to treat Smollett as a victim and the investigation remains ongoing.

A society that rewards victimhood is always going to produce victims, even if the victims have to take the trouble to victimize themselves.

Leaders are called to a higher standard, and the stain of racism should have no place in the halls of government. The Governor of Virginia should step aside so the public can heal and move forward together.

Clearly Ralphie Northram should resign from the Virginia governorship. Because blackface raciss superbad. As should all the Republican consultants upon whom Ed Gillespie spent $29 million and still couldn’t find his opponent’s medical school yearbook.

Black men keep dying in the house of a major Democratic donor:

Protests have broken out outside the California home of wealthy Democratic donor and LGBT activist Ed Buck, after the second dead body of a black man was found inside in less than two years. The dead man – an unidentified man in his 50s – was a “longtime friend” of Buck, Attorney Seymour Amster told Fox News. He apparently turned up at Buck’s door on Sunday night and began acting “in a bizarre way,” before dying in the Los Angeles apartment.

“As far as we’re concerned, this is an accidental death,” Amster told Fox.

Neighbors aren’t convinced. Shortly after the discovery on Monday, they began turning up outside Buck’s Los Angeles residence. The protesters blame Buck for the man’s death, and say they have called the police on the wealthy donor before. While one death is suspicious enough, this is not the first time a black man has died in Buck’s house.

In July 2017, a 26-year-old black male prostitute named Gemmel Moore was found dead in Buck’s apartment. The apartment was full of drug paraphernalia, including dozens of syringes, glass pipes, and plastic bags containing powdery residue and a crystal-like substance. Moore’s death was ruled an accidental methamphetamine overdose, but police reopened their investigation after excerpts from Moore’s journal were published by the Los Angeles Times.

Ed Buck is literally more lethal to blacks than the Ku Klux Klan. So racist!

After March, there will no longer be any place for white people in South Africa:

The country’s National Assembly approved a proposal to change the constitution to make the so-called reforms legal in a vote of 183 to 77. This paves the way for land to be taken from farmers without giving any kind of compensation.

And now lawmakers have agreed to set up a committee that will write and introduce a new bill for land expropriations. A deadline of the end of March next year for the committee to present its first report to parliament has also been agreed.

Economic Freedom Fighters MP Hlengiwe Mkhaliphi argued land grabs must go ahead as she declared: “Your time is up, white people”.

So sad to think of all that anti-apartheid virtue-signaling going to waste. Well, at least no one can call them racist. The complete eradication of white South Africa may not even be the worst possible outcome, for as we’ve seen, white South Africans who flee South Africa almost invariably demonstrate that they have learned as little from their experience as Californians who flee California.

Perhaps an actual white genocide of similar proportions to the Holocaust would stimulate the survival instinct in white Americans. Or, as is much more likely the case, they will continue to be more concerned about a genocide that ended 73 years ago than one that is taking place today.
