The West belatedly discovers that animal conservation is imperialism as far as the Africans are concerned:

The highly sensitive issue is whether the continent should be free to look after and even sell its own wildlife in the way it wishes, or be forced to bow to Western conservationists, rich celebrities and royals who say elephants must remain in the lands where they are born and be protected.

Next week, the sale of wild elephants such as the five-year-old, and the even more contentious trade in their tusks, will top the agenda in Switzerland at the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).

This is the organisation that sets worldwide rules on the sale of wild animals and their products. And impoverished Zimbabwe, which UN officials said last week was ‘marching towards starvation’, will be anxious to hear what CITES says.

In the past few years, Zimbabwe has made £2.2 million from the sale of 97 elephants — including the baby female pinned down in the crate — to zoos, parks and other tourist attractions in China and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

And more deals are in the pipeline because Zimbabwe has announced it will sell the creatures ‘to anyone’. No wonder Fulton Mangwanya, the director of Zimbabwe’s Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, said of the elephant sales: ‘We are fighting tooth and nail so that we are allowed to trade in our wildlife. The main contentious issue is the elephants, which we feel we are not allowed to fully benefit from.’

What, did they think that the Magic Dirt operates at a distance or something?

It will be interesting to see which direction Republicans will choose to go in light of the latest Republicans R the Real Racists scandal. Will they stand by their icon Ronald Reagan or will they stand by their professed belief in racial equality.

The day after the United Nations voted to recognize the People’s Republic of China, then–California Governor Ronald Reagan phoned President Richard Nixon at the White House and vented his frustration at the delegates who had sided against the United States. “Last night, I tell you, to watch that thing on television as I did,” Reagan said. “Yeah,” Nixon interjected. Reagan forged ahead with his complaint: “To see those, those monkeys from those African countries—damn them, they’re still uncomfortable wearing shoes!” Nixon gave a huge laugh.

The past month has brought presidential racism back into the headlines. This October 1971 exchange between current and future presidents is a reminder that other presidents have subscribed to the racist belief that Africans or African Americans are somehow inferior.

Since most Republicans are, by nature, cowards, and since literally nothing terrifies them more than the possibility that someone, somewhere, will accuse them of being racist, I assume that they will not hesitate to obediently jettison Reagan from the Republican pantheon, as well as Lincoln, Jefferson, and Washington. At this point, there really isn’t any more room for anyone but Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King, the Melting Pot, and, of course, the Holocaust.

I assume they’ll turn against the Constitution too, once they finally grasp that its very purpose is disinclusivitating.

It’s a pity this experience can’t be readily provided to all the proud white virtue-signalers who virtuously assure us they don’t “see color” and believe race is just a social construct. Perhaps then they would miraculously develop the ability to see the hitherto unseen:

A tourist was savagely beaten, stomped and spit on by a gang of over a dozen youths at the entrance to the Washington Hilton Hotel around 1 a.m. on July 14, according to Washington, D.C. police who released hotel surveillance video showing the brutal unprovoked attack. The Hilton–located about twelve blocks north of the White House at 1919 Connecticut Avenue and T Street, NW–is a key part of official Washington, playing host to presidents, foreign dignitaries, business and political gatherings including the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.

Watch the whole video. Then ask yourself, what sort of sweet reason do you think is going to dissuade that sort of hatred for all white people? And do you really believe your mental gymnastics are going to serve as an adequate defense against it?

Appear to be just as prone to white flight as their predecessors:

Millennials may not be the “Great Generation,” but they’re the largest group of Americans in the labor force, with the power to reshape industries. So where do they like to live?

They’re attracted to cities with high wages, high home prices and an overall high cost of living that are already popular with those in their age bracket, according to a new study of U.S. census data conducted by insurance agency Haven Life.

The Pacific Northwest, with its natural beauty and legal marijuana, pulled in the top two spots. Millennials account for about a fifth of both the greater Portland and Seattle metropolitan areas, Haven Life found. The region is home to the top four healthiest cities in the U.S., with Seattle and Portland coming in second and fourth, respectively, according to a recent WalletHub study.

Apparently “natural beauty and legal marijuana” are the new “good school district”. No matter how much equality they profess to believe, no matter how much diversity they claim to love, whites always prefer to live amongst those who look like them and live like them.

But the diversity never stops coming. And it never will, until it is prevented from doing so.

Forget women in combat, now the Marine Corps is embracing full-scale Diversity:

A Marine captain who was dropped from the F/A-18 Hornet fighter jet training pipeline in 2016 has been granted rare permission from the head of Marine Corps aviation to try again, following a report that revealed instructors and staff had acted unprofessionally and made racial jabs in a private chat group.

The pilot will report for training at Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron (VMFAT) 101 in Miramar, California, next month, said Capt. Christopher Harrison, a Marine Corps spokesman. Military.com has previously spoken with the pilot under condition of anonymity for fear of professional retribution; the publication will continue to honor that agreement….

“That dude was so bad. I can’t even comprehend how someone does not have the most basic level of self-awareness and realize he’s going to kill himself or someone else,” an instructor wrote of the Marine in the chat.

During training, the Marine had been responsible for one significant mishap, when he misunderstood an instructor’s order and ended up blowing the canopy off his F/A-18. For that, he said, he was pilloried in his unit, and the embarrassing incident was commemorated on class T-shirts with the slogan, “Once you pop, the fun don’t stop.”

This should end well. And it should totally convince everyone that Diversity Marine pilots are just as elite as Marines who have to actually avoid crashing their planes.

Considering that Disney is already making Ariel the Little Black Mermaid:

Halle Bailey, 19, got a flood of online congratulations on her casting as Ariel in a live-action remake of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. But some of the warm feelings were a bit misdirected, as several online commentators hilariously mistook her for Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry, 52.

Berry herself wrote: ‘In case you needed a reminder… Halles get it DONE. Congratulations @chloexhalle on this amazing opportunity, we can’t wait to see what you do! #TheLittleMermaid #HalleBailey’.

They might as well gone with Halle Berry. They’ve gone straight from blackwashing A Wrinkle in Time Bomb to The Little Mermaid, almost certainly with similarly dismal results. The hatred of Disney for all things European is so marked, I’m surprised that they haven’t completely replaced the very Germanic architecture of the Disneyland parks yet. All in due time, I suppose. But all this incessant Hollywood blackwashing just makes me want to remake Roots with a Chinese cast.

But back to the Little Black Mermaid…. at least this remake should provide some interesting new plot twists if Ariel is illegitimate and doesn’t know who her father is.

I wonder who will prove to be more popular, Little Black Mermaid or Little Black Irongirl? Every day is Wakanda day.

UPDATE: Amazon is not looking any better.

Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series is bringing Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom filmmaker J.A.  Bayona to Middle-earth. Bayona will direct the first two episodes of the fantasy series based on J. R. R. Tolkien’s novels, and he will serve as an executive producer, alongside partner Belén Atienza.

Ye cats…. Although I suppose it could have been a lot worse. It could have been Spielberg. Or shudder J.J. Abrams. It should be downright fascinating to see the gay black elves and pretty blonde orcs.

UPDATE: In fairness, from the SJW perspective, a remake was absolutely necessary. Because problematic.

I watched the original with my wife literally this week and it was the first time I’d seen it in about 25 or so years and, wow, it is very, very bad. There’s a lot of cleaning up to do.

UPDATE: What positive impact?

On social media, thousands praised the decision and the positive impact 19-year-old Bailey’s casting could have on ‘young black girls’.

A bunch of young black girls thinking they can be mermaids… it’s not exactly a mystery how this could go horribly wrong, given how black Americans are not, on average, what one would tend to describe as famous for their swimming abilities.

I’m sure the Chinese and Russians are quaking in their Chengdu J-20s and  S-500 Prometeys at the thought of that mighty USAF diversity.

It’s simply astonishing how crime rates coincidentally change in harmony with the changing demographics.

Jones was out walking his dog around 1 Friday morning by the corner of 4th Street and 6th Avenue North near downtown Fargo He had a funny feeling about two men who were walking nearby.

“When I saw them watching me and I looked back at my dog and I heard pow, pow, pow, pow, pow,” Jones said. “I saw my neighbor who was running and he fell face down and was like help me, help me.”

Jones called 911 and ran back to the victim until Fargo police arrived.

Authorities say the man was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Jones said. “I could not believe it because I’m from Alabama and down there crime runs rampant and I moved up here to get away from it and not in a million years did I see something like that up here.”

19-year-old Kareem Byrd and 30-year-old Charles Harris the third, both of Fargo, were taken into custody in the murder of 38-year-old Jason Halvorson.

In Clown World, everything is inexplicable and coincidental. And in another ten years, writers will be writing science fiction stories about going back in time to assassinate Norman Borlaug before he goes to college in order to save the human race.

In March, a wealthy South African vineyard owner named Stefan Smit was the subject of a New York Times article about black squatters encroaching on his land:

Before the end of apartheid, Mr. Smit benefited from the white monopoly over land and a steady supply of cheap black labor. His great-grandfather had cultivated grapes since the late 19th century on a property nearby. His father once owned the largest wine estate in the country, Mr. Smit’s website says.

In June, Stefan Smit was murdered on his estate:

Smit had gained something of a national profile after he was interviewed by the New York Times in March, speaking to the publication about the threat of land grabs on his property. The wine merchant had previously complained about how citizens from a nearby township had begun erecting shacks at the back of his farm.

The farmer was forced to get a court interdict against the squatters. Sadly, the letter of the law couldn’t prevent Smit from meeting a brutal fate. Police have confirmed that four armed men gained access to the wine estate via an unlocked door, before opening fire on the 62-year-old. His wife and a family friend survived the attack.

Harvest. Your. Own. Damn. Grapes. And remember, the love of money is the root of all evil. There is considerably more to life than an expanding bank account or GDP.

The harsh truth is that South Africa’s whites should have used their nukes when they had them. Now they’ll end up fighting a near-hopeless war being outnumbered and outgunned. Of course, one suspects that whatever remnants of civilization survive will say much the same thing about Americans and all their guns. Weapons are irrelevant without the will to use them.

And finally, there is the bitterly ironic punchline from the original New York Times article:

President Trump waded into the dispute last year, echoing false or exaggerated allegations that white farmers were being forced off their land by the government and killed in large numbers. 

When blacks murder white people:

The head of the Gauteng Province Community Police Board Dr MR Patel said: ‘The couple has just driven onto the top of the off ramp at the N12 when their vehicle ran out of fuel.

‘The young man called a family friend who is a butcher to ask for a favour to bring them a can of diesel and he sent someone out but when he got there he found them both dead.

‘There were people already on the scene and the two workers who were in the back when the attack happened had returned but both been badly beaten and were severely traumatised.

‘They said the attackers had used the word “Uhmlungu” which is a phrase of sorts for “white man” to the driver before he started shooting but I don’t think that necessarily makes this attack racist. I think these were opportunists who saw a car broken down and saw the opportunity to rob them and it seems the driver put up a fight and after that it just all went totally pear shaped.’

What an unfortunate coincidence of happenstance! If you still genuinely believe in racial equality, or equality of any sort whatsoever, you simply have not paying any attention to the entire written history of Man.
