Mailvox: change is inevitable

Farmer Tom doesn’t like it and he is seriously thinking about taking his tractor and going home:

This place is really going down hill in a hurry.

The host is now full on Trump supporter.

The vast majority of the guests seem to be so uninformed as to not know who Nate is?

I guess it’s time to find somewhere else to hang out.

I liked the place when “The Yellow Bus” was new.

Some things have changed, and not for the better.

Translation: I’m a Christian conservative and I don’t like it if things aren’t going in the way that I approve at all times. If anyone feels this way, then don’t comment here. Stick to reading and stay out of the discourse. I have never been concerned with the opinion of those who prefer to stomp off in a huff or retreat to snarky sniping than to offer substantive criticism and to articulate their positions, no matter who they might happen to be.

Of course, it may be nothing more than FT not wishing to stick around to defend his self-assured Iowa prediction, as the most recent RCP average has: Trump 25.7, Cruz 22.3, Carson 15.7, and Paul behind !Jeb!.

I’m personal friends with the Iowa campaign managers for Trump and Cruz. I know Carson’s Iowa guy, Huckebee’s guy, hate the a-hole who was Perry’s guy. Met several times Rubio’ s guy, once in his Senate office.

I know these people and the insides of the system.

I can tell you right now that Trump will not win Iowa, he will get second or third.

1. Carson
2. Trump
3. Cruz
4. Probably Rand because the RP people will hang to the end.

Maybe he is right. Maybe he is not. I have no idea; I don’t do political predictions anymore. Regardless, the fact that you’ve been here for years means that I will occasionally cut you some slack, not that I will overlook it when you’re behaving like a run-of-the-mill anklebiter or a prima donna. I find it somewhat frustrating when Ilk demonstrate that, despite years of reading here, they still can’t manage to control their emotions, construct proper syllogisms, or gracefully accept being shown to be wrong.

As I told FT in the comments: This place has not changed, but the world has. In this electoral campaign cycle, Trump is the only candidate who matters, and it is not because of who he is or what he might do if he wins.

This is basic game theory. As I have said repeatedly in the past, there are only three issues that matter today. In their current order of importance, they are:

  • Immigration
  • Gun Control
  • Federal Reserve

We can ignore the latter. None of the candidates even understand the issue and none of them are likely to do anything about it. Trump, being a maverick, is the only one who might even look at the issue, but that’s totally speculative and therefore irrelevant.

On guns, Clinton and Sanders are terrible, Ben Carson is bad, and most of the Republicans, including Trump, are both good and reliable. I’m not at all concerned about Trump saying he would take a serious look at the no-fly list, that was in response to a question about Islamic terrorism and in no way indicates that he has any interest whatsoever in sailing against the populist pro-gun position.

Nate said that we would have come down hard on another candidate who said the same, which is true, because unlike all the other candidates, Trump speaks off the cuff and without having his statement massaged by fifty consultants. If Bush said it, you can bet he’s looking to push anti-gun. In the context that Trump did, he’s wondering why known terrorists are permitted to arm themselves; he’s more likely to jail or deport them than attack gun rights.

More importantly, no one is going to do anything about gun control. Obama has been calling for it non-stop, they’ve been staging multiple false flags to try to drum up popular support – yes, they have, there is no question about it – and yet people are gunning up like never before. Gun control is the most important issue, but it is not one that is any more relevant in this particular election than is the Federal Reserve. I trust every single Republican candidate in this regard, including Ben Carson, who has completely changed his rhetoric on the subject once being confronted with the American public’s cast-iron will on the topic.

That leaves immigration. And here, Trump is the only candidate who is even beginning to address the scope of the existential problem. All the Democrats, and more than half of the Republicans, actually want to make it worse. Even if you don’t support him, or trust him, the mere fact that he is in the race has changed the debate on the subject more than the combined efforts of every anti-immigrationist, every open-borders skeptic, and every anti-free trade economist. He has been a literal Godsend in this regard, no matter what happens in the end.

In short, Donald Trump has radically changed the culture, and culture always trumps politics. And that is why petty sniping about the usual politics is not only pointless, it demonstrates that you are too stuck in an intellectual rut to even understand what the rest of us are discussing.

Mailvox: the key to failure

Is often past success. It sounds as if Team Clinton is attempting to pull another Perot out of their bag of tricks. A loyal member of the Ilk writes:

I just received a robo-poll from “Victory Processing, LLC”, asking whether I might vote for “a successful businessman” in a three-way race between Hillary Clinton, a Republican, and “Fred Strauss”.  I thought you would want to know about this call, because it suggests that the Clintons are considering putting up another Ross Perot, so that they can split the Republican vote and win the election.  It also suggests that the Clintons are going to try to run a completely issue-free campaign.

The robo-pollster sounded like a pleasant, decently educated, middle-aged white woman.  She started with the usual questions — Do I always vote in presidential elections?  Do I consider myself to a Democrat, Republican, Independent, or Other?  Do I consider myself to be a Liberal, Moderate, Conservative, or Other?  If the presidential election were held today, would I be inclined to vote for a Democrat, Republican, Independent, or Other?  Do I think that the people running the country are working for the rich and powerful instead of ordinary people?  Do I want an insider “who can get things done,” or an outsider who would bring “new ideas”?  There were **no** questions about the economy, or “Is the country on the right track or on the wrong track”, or foreigh policy, or immigration.  In fact, **there were no questions about any issues at all.**

Then the poll asked if I had a Favorable, Unfavorable, or Undecided view on each of Ted Cruz, Hillary Clinton, Marco Rubio, Ben Carson, and Donald Trump.  It also asked about head-to-head matchups.  If the presidential election were held today, would I vote for Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, or be undecided?  Ditto for Clinton vs. Carson, Cruz vs. Clinton, and Clinton vs. Rubio.

Then the poll asked if I would consider voting for an unnamed “successful businessman” in a three-way race.  The unnamed candidate “grew a small family business from 2 stores to 600 stores in 30 states, with 40,000 employees.”  The poll asked if, regardless of my candidate preferences, whether I thought a third-party candidate could win.  Yes, No, Maybe, or Undecided?

Then the poll named the mystery candidate:  “Fred Strauss”.  The poll repeated the four matchups, this time with Strauss as a third-party option.  This time there were 7 options: “Definitely vote for” candidate X, “Probably vote for” candidate X, ditto for Y, ditto for Z, Undecided.

At the end, the poll asked some demographic questions.  Age range: 18-35, 36-50, 51-65, over 65?  Male or Female?  Race:  White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Other, Refuse to State?  There were **no** questions about educational attainment, income, profession, or employment status.

The poll ended by thanking me for my time, and saying that it was paid for by “Victory Processing, LLC”.

I hope this gives you and The Ilk some ideas about how the presidential campaign might unfold.

The other possibility is that Team Clinton is worried that Donald Trump will run as a third-party candidate if the GOP Establishment successfully denies him the nomination despite his popularity.

Which, by the way, he absolutely should do, given the way in which the GOP Establishment is now attacking him. Loyalty is only ever a one-way street for them.

The wages of female “pastorship”

It is death for a church. OL writes:

Just wanted to let you know that the church-in-exile formally known as North Heights Lutheran have been given an excerpt of SWJAL. It is currently making the rounds as they come to grips with the fact that their church has been stolen. It is a textbook example of what happens when you try to play nice with evil rather then curb stomp it. Although it is really to late for them the lesson can be shown to those that will listen, perhaps on how to prevent this from occurring elsewhere.

Although I’ve attended North Heights a few times in the long-distant past and my parents were friends with the pastor, I didn’t have any idea what happened there. This story is spun in the SJWs’ favor, but if you read between the lines it’s not hard to figure out what took place. SJWs invade, take over the decision-making high ground, chase off half the congregation with their anti-Christian social justice theology, then start shutting down churches to sell the land.

One of the state’s original mega-churches is in trouble.

North Heights Lutheran Church in Arden Hills laid off half its staff in June and closed a satellite church in Roseville. That closure led half of the parishioners to split away and worship in a nearby motel — and church loyalists are feeling betrayed.

The church faces a crossroads.

“We are either going to be reborn,” said interim pastor Mindy Bak, in a silent church hallway, “or we are going to go through a slow death.”

The combination of financial problems, downsizing and, some say, a female pastor has led to a schism in the church, threatening its future as recriminations fly back and forth.

The breakaway group is posting its complaints on a website called “Church torn apart.

“They accuse church leaders of being deceptive, even “satanic.”

But most of their objections, said Bak, are related to her gender — they don’t want a woman to lead their church.

“If you carry that prejudice,” Bak said, “how can you serve the community?”

Meanwhile, Sunday attendance has dropped two-thirds from its peak.

Notice that “the community” is the SJW’s concern. Not serving Jesus Christ. This is exactly what social justice convergence in the Christian Church looks like today; a deep concern for “the community” and “the world” and absolutely no concern for Jesus Christ, Christianity, or the Church.

Never permit female leadership in the Church. It will absolutely kill any church that is foolish enough to do so after seeing what has happened in every single church that has done so already. The sort of women who want to be church leaders are almost invariably SJWs; when appointing a female pastor you might as well put up a sign announcing that the church has changed denominations from Baptist or Methodist or whatever to Social Justice.

Notice how the invaders always end up with the buildings and the land. They don’t give a damn about God or the congregation. “We are either going to be reborn or we are going to go through a slow death.” What does that tell you? The one thing that isn’t an option is for a successful Christian congregation to carry on as before, simply God in the name of Jesus Christ.

This phenomenon of the “stolen church” is not new. This is the third case of which I have heard and the second time it has happened to a church I personally attended at one point or another. Paul warned about this; most church leaderships have been absolutely derelict in their duty to police their congregations, and in particular, their elders.

UPDATE: it gets worse:

Just heard from my mother that the “vision” of the female pastor is to integrate Muslims and Christians in a new progressive church. They call it Chrislam.

SJWs stalking STEM figure

It’s not just in Open Source Software that SJWs are actively looking to discredit and disemploy individuals they have targeted. I received this just yesterday.
SJWs are attempting to railroad another STEM figure out
of his job. I can’t divulge how I know this, but I have direct inside
information. One individual in particular is gathering support by digging for
information and asking for legal advice. They are attempting to
circumvent the statute of limitations so
they can deprive this man of his job.

This is
happening, because of the easy success SJWs had ousting Tim Hunt and
Geoff Marcy. One SJW actually said, “Now that we’ve brought
down one of the biggest men in science, who can we go after next?”

They’re LOOKING for people to go after. It’s just as you said. Every
time one of these men apologizes, it just emboldens the SJWs.

Someone needs to get that man a copy of SJWAL, stat! And be sure that you provide anyone you know to be under attack with a link to The SJW Attack Survival Guide (PDF).

Note that apologizing not only make it worse for the target apologizing, but for the subsequent targets as well.

Do not apologize. Never apologize. Don’t even let the merest glimmer of the notion think about crossing your mind. Own your actions, own your words, and stand by them under fire.

Mailvox: China gears up

This email pretty much echoed my thoughts on the matter:

Yesterday I told my wife, “Watch – when China really feels its oats and gets serious about colonizing and taking Africa, they’ll drop the one child policy.”

Then this morning I see this report:

China’s ruling Communist Party announced Thursday that the country will start allowing all families to have two children, abolishing an unpopular policy that limited many urban couples to only one child for more than three decades.

The decision is the most significant easing of family-planning policies that were long considered some of the party’s most onerous intrusions into family life and had been gradually relaxed in recent years. The restrictions led to an imbalanced sex ratio because of a traditional preference for boys, and draconian enforcement that sometimes included forced abortions.

The news elated 36-year-old Su Weihu in Guangzhou, who said she now plans to get pregnant next year before she becomes too old, and that she is eager for her 8-year-old daughter to have a sibling.

“I have looked forward this for so many years — even had dreams about it! I cried every time when I woke up and realized it wasn’t yet true. I thought it was so unfair,” Su said. “I do not care if the second child is a boy or a girl, at my age, as long as he or she is healthy.”

A statement from the party’s Central Committee carried by the official Xinhua News Agency said the decision to allow all couples to have two children was “to improve the balanced development of population” and to deal with an aging population.

Yeah, it’s to improve demographic balance. That seems likely. And if they need to support an aging population, why not just import Arabs and Africans? That seems to be working out so well for the European nations, after all.

Mailvox: Brainstorm reactions

Some emails in response to the recent Brainstorm with Mike Cernovich, author of Gorilla Mindset.

  • Was definitely an added value on top of what you two are already producing for those of us with ears to hear!  I’m the Jim that asked about the artist website and it really helped to hear your feedback, in fact I shot my first short video today and put it up on my website and Facebook. nothing great, 80/20, but it was action and felt good to know I’m on the right path. Again, thanks to both of you guys..Men…for showing us what we are capable of. That’s leadership.
  • I have been visiting your blog over the past few weeks. Your article about Gorilla Mindset talked me into buying the book for my 27 year old son. I greatly enjoyed sitting in on the webinar and feel justified in my decision to purchase the book.
  • Nicely done, informative, I like how it was not too visual… Also, nice tap dancing at the beginning. You know I read you the first couple of years because you annoyed all the right people, but I’m really starting to warm to you and your works.Keep it up.

LL wasn’t at the Brainstorm, but he did read SJWs Always Lie in a single sitting and was inspired to write a blog post about the Social Justice Warrior:

If you do not know the Social Justice Warrior in your midst it is because he or she (hereafter she) seems so innocuous that she has not caught your eye; and you have not caught hers because you and she have not yet had a social justice run-in.

Once you do, the SJW will be like a mole digging tunnels under your feet. The stable footing you once thought you had in a company that has employed you with satisfaction for over fifteen years will suddenly give way, and you will find yourself neck deep in a quagmire, seated before a panel of inquiry investigating an alleged infringement of the company’s Code of Conduct by YOU.

What the f..!

Advice for the day: Be patient. Be very, very patient. Your turn will come in time.

You heard it here first

From our Eastern European friends:

It’s official, foreign relations minister Péter Szijjártó announced that tonight at midnight Croatian border will be shut down.

UPDATE:

Funny thing is happening, probably this news really appeared first on
your blog in English, there is almost no coverage of this. Now it is 19:44, the announcement was at about 15.00 hungarian time. I was checking news pages many times today, both Hungarian and English/American. Now
it is on front page in the Hungarian ones, but it wasn’t like this a
few hours before, and for example on very popular liberal news page
ORIGO, you can barely see it between the first 10 bullshit/less
important news.

Just now it is on the front
page of CNN, hidden between a lot of other news, it is not even on the
front page of BBC, you can only find it if you search. Same with
Reuters, only if you search. One of the “news line” short news on
RT.com. For some reason, they are not enthusiastic covering this.
With
the serbian closure, it was all over the place, because people were
expecting riots and finger pointing poor treatment of migrants. They got a little of what they expected.
Croatian
interior minister Ranko Ostojic just announced that they will take
people to Slovenian border, and another Slovenian politician said that
they are prepared for the influx, until countries further north keep
their borders open (Germany). So they will basically continue the same organized transport of migrants to Germany, only through Slovenia.

I don’t expect riots, neither does mainstream media. So
they do not want to tell people, that Hungary just quietly but surely
stuck to its plan, closed the borders, and is not doing it
alone, but in cooperation with 4 other countries.
The
other day I wrote that Czech soldiers already arrived, Slovak soldiers
and policemen will arrive, and the Poles will probably help with
something also. Well, Ewa Kopacz Polish PM announced today, that they
are sending to Hungary 70 border police officials, many jeeps, including
5 that have night vision devices built in.

The coverage of the first border closing backfired on the multicultis. Nearly everyone applauded the Hungarian action. That’s why they’re keeping the cameras away from this one.

Mailvox: resistance really works

It turns out that active resistance is a considerably more effective approach than silent submission and surrender. This tweet appeared in my notifications this morning:

a friend is under real life SJW attack, pointed him to this, he followed your advice & it’s working. Many thanks!! *hat tip*

It may be hard to break the habits into which we are brainwashed from kindergarten, but it is necessary. It is vital! Those whispers that tell you to give up, to give in, to abandon hope are the voices of the deceivers who programmed defeatism into you at an early age through school, church, and media.

Don’t listen to those voices. God loves the fighters. God loves the warriors. The Father loved Gideon and David. The Son loved Peter. Unless you are being murdered for your Christian faith, you are not a martyr, you’re just a coward who lacked the courage to stand up for himself and for the truth.

If you’ve got a friend who is under attack, please note that SJWs Always Lie is now available as a free read for both KU and Prime subscribers. And last night we received the notification that it will be available in paperback within a week or so.

Mailvox: more border closures coming

Apparently things are about to get even more interesting in Eastern Europe in response to the ongoing invasion. A reader from Eastern Europe writes:

Get ready for things to get interesting again at the Hungarian border/Croatia/Slovenia/Serbia.

When Hungary closed the Serbian border, there was about a day of riots, which were all over world news, horrible hungarian policemen teargassing poor migrants. But this lasted about a day, as they immediately started going towards the Croatian border.

Today, still thousands of refugees cross Hungary, but no one notices them, since it is all organized, basically because Germany is still receiving unlimited amounts of them daily. Croatians bus them to Hungarian border, Hungarian authorities get them on special trains straight to the Austrian border, Austrians get them on special trains straight to Germany.

This time though, Orbán is taking his time with the Croatian border closure.

One reason is technical, it takes time to figure out the optimal way. The border is much longer than the Serbian (164 kms to 355 kms), and for the most part two rivers form the border (Dráva and Mura in Hungarian). First they said they were not going to build any fence at the rivers, than they decided to build anyway in some spaces they considered vulnerable. They spotted croatians scouting the border looking for vulnerable places, the days before it was supposed to start, so they took their time to make sure the fence will be effective. The deadline moved, and now they not even giving exact date, they will probably make it effective by surprise, when everything falls to place.

Second reason is political. As you may know, there is an alliance called Visegrad Group, or V4, which is made up of Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland. I’m not going to Google the whole history of this, but the alliance is formal, every now and then there are V4 summits and workshops on different levels (PMs, presidents, ministers, etc), independently of which political formations govern at given moment.

Orbán this time does not want to play the bad guy alone, so he got the V4 to back him up with political support, and by sending policemen or military personnel/equipment to help patrol the Serbian and Croatian borders, which are the Schengen borders of Europe. He is also organizing a two-month military exercise, called “Balaton 2015”, aimed at practicing different logistical scenarios that could unfold at a migrant crisis. Today the first 20 Czech soldiers arrived for the exercise. Slovakian defence minister just announced that they will send soldiers also.

Apart from that, Slovakia will send 50 policemen for the Schengen border patrol, they will be arriving until the 20th of October. The Poles didn’t do much yet, but they will probably help with something.

So another border closure is coming in the next few weeks. I really don’t know what the hell are the Croatians and Serbs waiting for, I would be building my own fence like mad.

So much for the idea of European “union”. It’s creating more walls than the Soviet invasion of Eastern Europe did. If this insanity is allowed to continue by the German elite, the walls will eventually be constructed of impaled migrants.

Mass migration is war.

Mailvox: We didn’t destroy your dream

Remper, if your dream is destroyed, the only individual responsible will be the only one with the power to do so, Chris Roberts:

1) Don’t give a damn about Star Citizen for about 2 years
2) Poorly-written article in the Escapist appears
3) Don’t research anything or catch up on what is happening in Star Citizen right now
4) Write a post full of concerns about Star Citizen future
5) ???
6) PROFIT

Guys, Star Citizen has the most open development process ever done for a AAA-game. Everything they did so far is perfectly reasonable and what they promise is doable. No one had a single concern about game’s eventual completion before Derek Smart’s posts and the Escapist article. Not because we (backers) are stupid zealots, but because every week we are given a detailed explanation on how things are going.

Keep in mind: most of the Star Citizen backers doesn’t give a shit when the game will be released. This is the project that has to be done right. For now, we trust Chris Roberts with taking as much time as he needs to create the game we asked for. And for the last 2 years he hasn’t done anything to cast any doubt on his decisions.

What I’m really afraid of is that baseless allegations in the game press will scare potential partnerships with other companies and the constant intake from the new backers, which will make Chris to downsize the project – that would be really a shame. So until you have actual facts about Star Citizen development going south, I would kindly ask you not to generate any additional shitstorm. Don’t try to destroy our dream.

A few things. First, Star Citizen is shaping up to be the one of the most epic events in game development history one way or another. To expect professional game developers to ignore their decades of experience as well as their personal knowledge of the various parties involved and keep their mouths shut until events play out is simply not reasonable. We have observations, we have opinions, and we have platforms. Deal with it.

Second, everything they have done so far is not perfectly reasonable. Everything they are promising is not doable. Saying that “it’s done when it’s done” sounds great and all, but there is this little problem called “burn rate” that means Chris cannot take as much time as he needs. That’s precisely why Derek Smart believes Chris is going to run out of both time and money long before the dream is realized.

Third, the allegations are far from baseless. There is a considerable amount of information that has not yet been made available to the public to which many of us in the industry are privy. It’s not a massive industry and everyone is, at the very least, a friend of a friend of a friend. Unfortunately, none of it tends to indicate the Star Citizen project is in any better than the coverage by The Escapist tends to indicate.

It is important to understand that NO ONE wants to see Chris fail. That would be a bad thing for everyone, including Derek Smart. Hell, if Chris wanted my help, I would donate it pro bono. But I very much doubt that insufficient or inept design is the problem, but rather, altogether too much of it and not enough production focus.
