What “democracy in Europe”?

The Neo-Napoleonists continue to ignore cause and effect:

A surge of populist political parties threatens democracy in Europe, Tony Blair’s think tank warns today. A survey by the Institute for Global Change found the share of the vote taken by populist parties from both right and left has almost trebled since 2000. The surge has seen the parties support rising from 8.5 per cent to 24.1 per cent.

Over the same period, it said the number of European countries with populist parties participating in government has doubled from seven to 14 – creating an unprecedented ‘populist belt’ from the Baltic to the Aegean.

They are strongest in Eastern Europe and current hold power in seven countries – Bosnia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Serbia and Slovakia. Populists are the junior coalition partners in two other countries and the main opposition in three more.

The report said: ‘Parties like Poland’s Law and Justice party and Hungary’s Fidesz tend to emphasise a nationalism based on soil, blood or culture; take a hard line against immigration; and have, especially in Poland and Hungary, quickly started to dismantle key democratic institutions like the free media and an independent judiciary.

‘Working largely within the letter of the law, and drawing on widespread popular support, they have destroyed many of the institutions that are needed to safeguard democratic institutions over the long-run.’

In contrast to Eastern Europe, where most populist parties are on the right, those in Southern Europe are predominantly on the left, such as Syriza in Greece and Podemos in Spain. However, the report said left-wing parties from other parts of the continent – including Labour in Britain – had embraced elements of populism, underlining the impact populist politics was having on the mainstream.

The report’s co-author, Yascha Mounk, said: ‘2016 was the year that populism went prime time, but as our data makes clear: this rise started well before 2016.

‘The huge transformation we are seeing in European politics is long term, driven by issues such as economic insecurity; a rebellion against immigration and the notion of a multi-ethnic society; and the ease with which extreme voices can make themselves heard in an age of social media.

‘This populist wave has not crested and unless politicians managed to identify and counteract the structural drivers, populism will keep garnering strength in the years to come.’

There is nothing – literally nothing – democratic about the European Union. The entire structure is designed to limit and thwart the national will of the European peoples. Notice that the Neo-Napoleonists defend “democratic institutions” and don’t work within the letter of the law as they oppose the actual will of the genuine people who do work within the law.

As for the “structural drivers”, external immigration and internal free movement are the two primary ones. Both need to be not only stopped, but reversed.

No worries, they’ve got immigrants

Surely they will be more than up to the burden of shouldering the tax load:

According to the Daily Caller, three states, in particular, saw a massive departure of Americans to the tune of 450,000, taking their wallets with them as they fled. This is leading to the problem of having no one around to pay the bills in these tax-heavy states.

The Daily Caller reported that taking the lead is New York:

The exodus of residents was most pronounced in New York, which saw about 190,000 people leave the state between July 1, 2016 and July 1, 2017, according to U.S. Census Bureau data released last week.

New York’s domestic out-migration during that time period was about the same as it was in the same time 2015 and 2016. Since 2010, the state’s outflow of just over 1 million residents has exceeded that of every other state, both in absolute terms and as a share of population, according to the free-market think tank Empire Center.

Despite the number of people leaving New York, the population did grow due to high immigration from other parts of the world, and a higher birth rate.

California is yet another deep blue state that found itself watching Americans take their money with them as they left:

California was the third deep blue state to experience significant domestic out-migration between July 2016 and July 2017, and it couldn’t blame the outflow on retirees searching for a more agreeable climate. About 138,000 residents left the state during that time period, second only to New York.

But like New York, California’s population only grew due to a heavy flow of international migration to the state:

However, because California was the top receiving state for international migrants, its net migration was actually 27,000. Add to that number a “natural increase” of 214,000 people, and California’s population grew by about just over 240,000, according to the Census Bureau.

Both New York and California’s population growth may or may not help them. The tax status of the immigrants replacing the taxpayers that flee the states may range from completely legitimate, to non-tax paying status depending on the immigrants’ level of income or legality. According to CNN, most new immigrants into the country work lower paying jobs, and with those workers paying little to no taxes, the burden on the high-tax deep blue states could get even worse.

It’s amusing how people suddenly start talking very differently about the tax-paying abilities of immigrants when they realize that the state’s tax revenue is actually going to depend on them.

The problem is that these so-called “blue state” idiots are going to vote for exactly the same thing they’re fleeing now. No state should have ever allowed its new residents to vote on state and local matters for at least two generations, and preferably three.

No, Virginia, Jesus was not a refugee

We increasingly hear from the Churchians that Joseph, Mary, and the Baby Jesus were refugees, and therefore we should welcome the invasion and conquest of our nations by millions of “refugees”. Even the so-called Pope Francis implies as much

Pope Francis in Christmas Eve remarks likened the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem to the migrations of millions of people today who are forced to leave homelands for a better life, or just for survival, and he expressed hope that no one will feel ‘there is no room for them on this Earth’.

But this is an out-and-out lie, as the Bible quite clearly demonstrates. How can Joseph possibly have been a “refugee” in his own town? To the contrary, he and his little family were returning home, as per the edict of the first Roman emperor. He quite literally had to go back.

Civil war in the USA

More and more people are beginning to find this not merely possible, but plausible:

The thought of Civil War has been in the minds of many people lately, on both sides of the political and cultural divide. This is not a thing to be wished for, though no one should kid themselves into believing it’s impossible either. Let us take a sober look at what such a conflict might entail.

To begin with, it would not look like the first American Civil War, which was essentially a war between two regions of the country with different economic interests. The divide created two separate countries, both initially contiguous, intact, and relatively homogeneous. The lines of demarcation now are only somewhat regional, and tend to correspond to differences between urban and rural populations, as well as differences of race and class. A second American Civil War would be much more similar to the Spanish Civil War, with the leftists dominating the cities and conservatives controlling the countryside. Conflicts of this nature, with enemies mixed geographically, are a formula for spontaneous mass bloodletting. India-Pakistan during the 1947 partition comes to mind as another modern example. Given an absence of legitimate government and the friction of proximity, ordinary people can be moved to settle grievances by killing one another without the need for governments to egg them on.

Some dimensions of a future civil war would be, I think, largely unprecedented. When lesser countries have imploded in violence in recent times, they have done so with most of the world around them still intact. There were other nations to offer aid, assistance and intervention, welcome or unwelcome. There were places for refugees to go. The collapse of the world’s remaining superpower would take much of the world down with it. A global economic crisis would be inevitable. The withdrawal of American forces from bases across the world to fight at home would also create a power vacuum that others, even under economic strain, would be tempted to exploit. Whichever side gained control of our nuclear arsenal, our status as a nuclear power would probably persuade other nations not to interfere in our conflict militarily, but the collapse of trade alone would produce crippling effects that would be hard to overestimate. Many components for products our manufacturing sector makes are globally sourced.

Add to this the breakdown of our transportation system, dependent on oil and transecting one new front line after another. The internet would fail. It is a frail enough now. Financial systems would fail. What happens if the banks find half their assets suddenly in hostile territory? All Federal government functions, including Social Security, would fail, many of them losing their very legitimacy to one side or the other. Food production, heavily dependent on diesel fuel, chemical fertilizers and pesticides, not to mention a steady supply of genetically engineered seeds, would slump alarmingly. In short, most things we depend on are now held together by a network of delicate and complex connections.

Without those connections, would you have a job? If so, in what medium of exchange could your employers manage to pay you? What would there be for you to buy? Does your town, your county, or even your state have the ability to marshal its resources into a viable economy? How many people in those entities could deal with anything worse than a weather disaster, in which they count on the fact that help is coming soon?

As I have said many times, great movements of peoples is nearly always accompanied by war, sooner or later. It would defy both logic and history to assume or insist that the USA will be an exception.

He’s getting there

Kurt Schlichter illustrates Point 12 of the 16 Points:

The liberal elite and their toadies screech, “If you don’t give us a critical Senate seat while we tread water on dealing with Dem icons like Al “Get Around To Resigning Someday Wink Wink” Franken and Bob “Brotherhood of the Traveling Pervs” Menendez, you totally support pedophiles!” Except we don’t support pedophiles – when’s the last time we gave one a primetime standing O? We just don’t think shaky claims from 40 years ago that include admitted fraud being pushed by our enemies morally mandates our ritual senatorial suicide.

The liberal elite and their toadies screech, “You’re racist because you don’t want to give away American citizenship to anyone who can manage to avoid being caught wading across the Rio Grande!” Except we love immigrants who respect our laws and come here legally and want to be Americans. We just don’t want to keep paying, in money and in blood, for uninvited freeloaders who want to turn our country into the same kind of Third World dump these illegals crawled out of.

The liberal elite and their toadies screech, “Because you NRA people won’t disarm, you have the blood of children on your hands!” every time some militant atheist, BLM jerk, or angry Obama fan goes on a killing spree at a gun free zone. Except we don’t have blood on our hands. We’re the ones who carry guns to protect people, or send off family members to do so – not a lot of cops or infantrymen come out of Beverly Hills and Georgetown. We just don’t think that we are morally obligated to make it easier for criminals to murder us in order to please a bunch of snooty libs who don’t like us having a last ditch veto over their goal of Venezuelaizing America.

Wokeness to elite lies is now central to who conservatives are, and the True Conservatives™ are furious that we’ve stopped caring. They hate that the primary principle of conservatism is no longer losing like well-behaved little wusses – that was their only real talent and if we don’t intend to lose anymore, we don’t need that crew of smarmy losers anymore. The 2016 primary was a battle between the Jeb!-loving “Oh noes, we needs to get the approval of the people who hate us” clique, and the “Oh, I got your approval right here” contingent that elected Donald Trump. That whole trying to please the people who will always hate us thing? That’s not a conservative thing anymore, except for a few suck-ups like Ben Sasse and other the tiresome members of Team Sanctimony.

They fuss, “We’re better than that!” and now we just laugh.

“Yeah, I think we’ll stop trying to please you and do what’s in our interests instead. Why the sad face? You mad, bro?”

Here’s the bottom line.

We.

Don’t.

Care.

What.

You.

Say.

Anymore.

Kurt almost, but not quite, there Here is where he goes off the rails: we love immigrants who respect our laws and come here legally and want to be Americans. It’s the hapless old Dems are the Real Racists/It’s not the Immigration, it’s the Illegality routine.

Immigrants may want to be Americans born abroad, but they can’t be and they will never be. And more importantly, after having been invaded by four generations of 80 million+ immigrants who have literally degraded the culture, the society, the economy, and the average intelligence, Americans neither love nor want any more.

Magic dirt fail in NYC

I can’t believe the racist ethnocentrist hate being demonstrated here by the media in labeling this fine young American a “Bangledeshi national”.

A Bangladeshi national in his 20s has been taken into custody with serious injuries after a suspected pipe bomb he was carrying malfunctioned and exploded prematurely inside a Midtown Manhattan subway station Monday morning.

The explosion happened around 7:20am, in an underground tunnel linking the Port Authority Bus Terminal to Times Square. The underground tunnel is a major thoroughfare for workers during the morning rush hour. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Akayed Ullah, was found injured at the scene and rushed to Bellevue Hospital. He was wearing what appears to be a homemade pipe bomb attacked to his body with velcro and zip ties.  Authorities say Ullah is talking to investigators at the hospital.

Three other people also reported to local hospitals for minor injuries like ringing in the ears and headaches. There have been reports that Ullah was inspired by ISIS.

You know, I’ve never been clear on exactly how long it takes for the magic dirt to transform foreigners into Real Apple-Pie Americans. Is it a matter of days, weeks, or months?

It turns out Mr. Ullah was as American as American can be. In fact, he was more American than you or me!

Ullah came to the United States from Bangladesh with an immigrant visa on Feb. 21, 2011. He is a legal permanent resident with a green card.

Peak humanity

Alas for the dreams of the posthumanists and progressives. Science has spoken. Humanity has peaked:

The human race has peaked, with mankind reaching its maximum limits for height, lifespan and physical performance, scientists have claimed. Despite stories that each generation will live longer and longer, a new report suggests there may be a maximum threshold to our biological limits that we cannot exceed.

In particular, the French research team behind the study found what appears to be a plateau in the maximum biological limits for humans’ height, age and physical abilities. “These traits no longer increase, despite further continuous nutritional, medical, and scientific progress,” said Professor Jean-François Toussaint from Paris Descartes University.

Well, we already know that average human intelligence has peaked. The consequence of preventing starvation in Africa has been to drastically increase the low-IQ population. IQs are falling everywhere from Great Britain and Germany to the USA and South Africa.

Forget colonizing space. The West will be lucky to come out of The Great Endumbening with functional indoor plumbing. Mark my words: civic nationalism will eventually be understood to be a more foolish, more societally destructive concept than communism. It is only surpassed in that regard by feminism.

Miscarriage of justice or prosecutorial overreach

Both, I tend to think, in the case of the death of Kate Steinle:

Jurors Thursday afternoon acquitted the illegal immigrant accused of killing Kate Steinle as she walked with her father on a crowded San Francisco pier of all charges except for felony possession of a firearm.

A spokesperson for the Superior Court of California made the announcement that the jury had reached a verdict shortly after 3 p.m. Shortly after 4:30 p.m., the shocking verdict was announced that Jose Ines Garcia Zarate was found not guilty of all charges except for the gun possession charge.

The jury of six women and six men considered charges against Garcia Zarate that include murder, assault with a deadly weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm in the death of Steinle, a 32-year-old Pleasanton native and San Francisco resident.

The problem is that the killing quite clearly wasn’t Murder One. Unless the prosecutor wanted to argue that the killer was some sort of Deadshot-style supervillain utilizing a bank shot, there is no reasonable way to claim that a ricochet was an intentional murder. Nor would it appear likely that any assault was intended; what I can’t understand is why there was no conviction for manslaughter.

That being said, the fact that the man was in the country at all after being deported is inexcusable. Given that illegal immigrants – and legal immigrants, for that matter – have no rights under the U.S. Constitution despite what the Supreme Interpreters claim – there is no reason why a felony or even a misdemeanor conviction by an illegal immigrant should not be a capital offense.

But regardless, one thing is clear. BUILD THE WALL!

Multiculturalism and ethnocide

Faith Goldy is out on her own now and she’s not pulling any punches.

Speaking of videos, we won’t have the first Voxiversity video out before the end of November, but we will have at least two out in December, the first on Immigration and War. You’ll understand what’s going on when we make our next book announcement and why my immediate priorities had to be adjusted a bit as a result.

Inexplicable inequality

It is hard, so hard, to discern a pattern here:

It’s hard to discern a pattern in the violence that has wracked the Swedish capital Stockholm for five nights. Rioting in the city’s suburbs has raised the national debate about immigration, unemployment and social inequality.

The cars attacked in the violence are not high-end – not the BMWs and Porsches you might expect to see torched by class warriors – but the vans which ordinary people need to go about their business. Schools, a station and a library have been attacked as well as a bank and a police station…. Many said there was a wider context of a growing gap between rich and poor in Sweden.

On OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) figures, Sweden has seen the biggest increase in inequality of any developed country over the past 25 years. Immigrants and their descendants tend to congregate in areas such as Husby, the neighbourhood west of Stockholm where the violence started on Sunday. About 80{23e931505c9998ea7789b03fa212186bf4d6af5391998e330e3a146ae78b2862} of the 11,000 residents are either first- or second-generation immigrants.

It is not any more the Sweden we all thought we knew.

What do you know. Another Magic Dirt fail. Apparently even Scandinavian socialist magic isn’t powerful enough to transform immigrants into Real Swedes Just Like All The Other Swedes Except For Their Darker Skin.

Identity always trumps ideology, regardless of whether that ideology is free market capitalism, American civic nationalism, or socialism.

Nations are people. Nations are genetic. Nations are tribes. Nations are neither propositions nor geography nor political constructs. FFS, before you embarrass yourself with ignorant objections, look up the etymology of the freaking word! Nationalism is literally genetic tribalism and nations are nothing more than genetic tribes with shared cultural, religious, and linguistic customs.

1250-1300; Middle English < Latin nātiōn- (stem of nātiō) birth, tribe, equivalent to nāt(us) (past participle of nāscī to be born) + -iōn- -ion
